And one of them will have to leave tonight.

The only guest not nominated is Jamie,

but that doesn't mean she's not in the spotlight.

Last week, Jamie shocked many of our viewers

by making a controversial choice.

She got to decide between a reunion

with her mother and a meeting with a top,

Hollywood casting director.

My first instinct is to pick my mom,

but I know that I'm going to see her, for sure.

JULIE: Time's up. Time's up.

So I'll go with--

what should I do?

How does that feel?

JULIE: Well, Jamie, because you're the only one who is not

on the hot seat tonight, tonight's live challenge,

once again, involves you.

JULIE: Now over the past couple of weeks,

we've heard you say that you would

love the opportunity to co-host the live show with me.

Yeah!

JULIE: Well, tonight you're going to get that opportunity.

Now, Jamie, millions of people will

be watching this-- casting directors, agents,

producers included.

They will be watching you make your network,

prime time coast--

co-hosting debut.

How do you feel about that? - Yeah!

My heart is in my throat right now.

That's how I feel, Julie.

Well, before you make a decision--

- There's a catch. - Oh, no.

Let me tell you what--

no, let me tell you what your responsibilities will be.

- Of course, there's a catch. - All right.

First, you'll get to interview one of you're

house mates for one minute.

Second, you'll introduce a video segment.

And finally, you'll be the one to announce the name

of the banished house guest.

JULIE: Now, Jamie, you know this is a very

special opportunity, right?

Will be the name of the banished guest and some instructions

for you.

JULIE: Now it's important for you to know,

don't read anything out loud.

JULIE: OK.

Jamie?

Yeah.

JULIE: Now that you know who it is, you

must not reveal it to anyone.

Look at my hand.

Jamie, I'm going to give you some advice--

it's important for you to demonstrate your ability to be

objective tonight.

And remember, you're always on camera,

so even the slightest facial expression could give it away.

And if you blow the secret, you'll

be ruining the suspense for millions of viewers

out there, who are watching right now.

OK.

JULIE: Do you give us your word that you will keep

this a secret until we tell you it's

time to make the announcement?

I do.

JULIE: OK.

Now if you want to take the "Big Brother" microphone,

leave the envelope where you found it.

JULIE: House guests, let me remind

you that Jamie now knows which one you will be banished, OK?

And she's just given us her word that she

won't reveal the secret until we tell her it's time to do so.

So what's the gig?

JULIE: You guys, apparently, we're having

some technical difficulties.

Here is first assignment for the night, as my co-host.

You get to interview one of your house guests

for one minute.

And you have to interview the person

that you think has had the hardest time

being nominated for banishment.

So, George, how are you feeling right now?

I'm feeling very good.

I just appreciate the opportunity

that I had to be here with all these wonderful people.

We have been able to stick together,

through thick, and thin, and everything else like that.

And I feel--

Like I explained, if I got to go, it's cool.

I've had the experience of a lifetime.

I was telling Eddie right before here,

I've never had the thrill of actually

doing something so exciting.

Now let me ask you one quick question.

house.

ambitions, but, still, they were surprised, last week,

when she chose to see the casting director over her mom.

I was saying to myself, Jamie, pick your mom, pick your mom.

I thought-- I was hoping and wishing

she would pick her mother.

I was really shocked and surprised that she

did pick that.

How are you?

Hi, I'm Anthony Sepulveda.

[screaming] I'm fine.

I get a hug and everything.

When she chose Tony over me, I almost started to cry, but I

promised myself I wouldn't.

And so I won't.

We want to find out what Seattle thinks about Jamie

and what went down last night on the show, "Big Brother,"

on CBS, all right?

I think that a casting director isn't

that important over family.

I don't think that meeting was that significant,

so I'd think I'd talk to my mama.

When she looks back at that, she

is going to really regret that.

Hurting her mom's feelings for that wasn't worth it.

I respect the fact that she joined

the show because she wants to be in Hollywood and be famous.

To further her career-- definitely.

He's a Hollywood casting agent.

- You see that? - Yeah.

I see.

That's what people are going to do.

I think that Jamie made the best choice that she could

in the situation that she's in.

It's a very difficult situation.

A lot of people couldn't do it and I think she's

done the very best she can.

Over the past few days, there's been

a massive effort in George's hometown

to save him from banishment.

And George's wife, Teresa, is in the middle of it.

Are they playing fair?

The campaign began, obviously, when George said

Brittany needed to go out of the house

and when he nominated her.

I picked up the phone, and called Teresa, and said,

let's do something.

I was asked to lead the troops.

It's a vote Brittany out campaign.

Teresa called our newsroom, suggesting

that we do something to make sure George

wasn't voted out of the house.

She wanted us to concentrate our efforts on one candidate.

She suggested Brittany.

Probably every hour, we're saying,

here's the number to call, here's what we want to do.

Let's keep George in the house and let's get rid of Brittany

right now.

Bye, bye, Brittany.

She is his biggest competition,

so you got to get rid of the competition.

On News this morning, we said, vote early,

vote often, and vote Brittany.

The bill is coming in for the numbers

to help support George.

Our company is going to take care of that.

You're out of here!

It doesn't matter how much it costs for George to stay in,

let's just keep the phone calls coming.

That's why we're here.

What we're doing, I think, is wonderful.

We're going to save George and get Brittany out.

It's all a popularity contest in "Big Brother" and--

but we can have alliances.

We're just trying to win the game here.

And I'm trying to do the best thing for George.

Well, I guess it'll be two-- Brittany.

[phone ringing]

We want him to stay in, we want him to be the winner.

I think it would be a neat, little thing

for the town of Rockford.

The next time he's up for banishment, we're

going to pick somebody else and go after them.

We invited Brittany's mom, Ginny, to be here,

so we could get her reaction to this telephone campaign

to banish her daughter.

Well, Ginny, first of all, welcome to the show.

Thank you.

What do you think about what we just showed?

I-- I'm really surprised.

I just really am.

I had heard about this.

I understand that she loves her husband.

I understand she wants him to stay in.

They have three children to raise.

It takes a lot of money.

I understand all that, but I thought

this was up to the public.

And I-- I can't believe that you would actually

mobilize a town against one candidate,

just because they're popular.

To me, that-- that's really playing unfair.

I-- I would have never thought about that.

My attitude is, obviously, I tell friends

and family don't vote Brittany out, but vote

whoever you want to vote.

I would never--

I would never go to that extreme, just to banish--

banish one person, you know?

And actually try to sway people's votes like that.

Sure.

Hi, Dr. Drew.

Well, what do you think about what we just showed?

Well, Brittany's mom's got a point.

It seems unfair, doesn't it?

And we may see some mobilization of forces in other communities

as the competition heats up.

It's not pleasant.

It's not pleasant to see somebody else

gaining at the expense of someone else

and I don't think George would like that, particularly

at the expense of someone that he's been

so attached to, like Brittany.

On the other hand, we've seen that George

is willing to go to whatever lengths

to try to stay in the house.

He's really-- he really wants to stay.

So I think, ultimately, he would be sort of moved by all this

and support it, I suspect.

Well, one of the things that he did,

since finding out he's been marked for banishment, we saw,

one night, he took a bottle of ketchup,

he made it look like it was blood on a shirt,

he put band-A*DS over it, and he went in the red room,

and said, I've been shot at!

These are b*llet wounds, you know?

Don't vote me out of the house!

What do you make of that behavior?

Well, that-- those images are particularly vivid.

And I think they sort of conjure up

the amount of pain and discomfort

that George is really in.

He's getting desperate.

He's done some kind of goofy things.

And I think it's sort of shown that his judgment

is not maybe all that good.

And it's going to have strategic implications for him.

I think the things that we expect from George is caring

and he's a very present person for the other house mates.

And what we've seen lately is desperation,

deceit, and things that are really unsettling to see.

And I suspect these behaviors are going to work

against him in the long run.

We'll see what happens tonight.

The phenomenon of six people out of seven

being marked for banishment has provoked a lot of discussion

on the web.

Here to tell us what they're saying

Well, what's everyone saying online?

Well, there are over , postings on the "Big

Brother" message boards.

George and Brittany have the most,

Curtis, Josh, and Eddie have the least.

And there are even , about Chiquita.

All positive, I would imagine.

Right.

He can't talk, so he hasn't offended anyone yet.

One of the posting said, my vote, wow, this is a hard one,

I can't decide yet.

LOL-- which stands for laughing out loud in cyber speak.

And a lot of people are getting a kick out of the fact

that this week it's an open field, that anything goes.

Another wrote, I usually vote the night

of the nomination show, but this time I haven't done it yet.

Usually it's a clear cut choice, but with six nominees--

So much to choose from.

Exactly. Exactly.

And we heard that, again and again,

at the start of the week, and, gradually,

people became more decisive.

Another big cyber moment this week--

when a plane flew over the "Big Brother"

house with a sign that read, vote George out, save Brittany.

And that had people running to watch the webcast

and flooded the chat rooms with people talking about it.

Because it seemed to throw George into a little bit

of a downward spiral.

It also may have made Brittany a little overconfident.

It made both of them uncomfortable.

Yeah.

They were singled out.

Yeah.

And, of course, there's Jamie.

And the online sentiment has--

is echoing what we heard throughout tonight's show.

One rather blunt posting read, she didn't choose her mother!

She should carry that guilt for the rest

of her beauty queen life.

And that was the subject of the survey

that we conducted online, as well.

Right.

So we ran a poll along the same lines.

And we asked people, were you surprised

that Jamie chose the casting director over her mother?

A whopping % said, no, they weren't surprised.

And as one person in the AOL chat room said,

they don't call her Hollywood for nothing.

from the "Big Brother" house.

Brittany, before we get started, I

want to thank your grandmother, your mom,

and your best friend, Dawn, for coming in from Minneapolis.

How do you feel right now?

Really weird.

It's just-- I don't know.

I'm kind of a nobody.

And for all these people to--

I don't know-- know who I am.

- Cheer you on and-- - Yeah.

It's just weird.

I mean, when you're in the house, you're just--

I don't know-- living in a house with people.

And it's just kind of weird, I guess, is the word.

You're like, who are these people?

I don't know. Yeah.

And why are they cheering me on?

And wigs made it really weird.

- Did you like that touch? - Yeah.

It was cute.

It was a personal touch, just for you.

Yeah.

How surprised were you that you were banished tonight,

given the fact that, last week, we told you the AOL poll voted

you most favorite house guest.

Well, actually, I was kind of torn

because I thought it might give me a false sense of security.

Because I know when somebody is really liked,

they're also really disliked.

I mean, it's rare--

if there's a strong personality out there--

and that's how it is in normal life.

Either when I go out, people really like me or they're

really irritated by me.

There's not a lot of neutral for me.

So I figured, it's possible, you know?

So you thought there was a / chance then?

Well, I kept going back and forth, you know?

JULIE: Yeah.

Like everybody thought they were going to be

the one that was banished.

But I kept going, OK, I'm not going to be banish.

I am going to be.

Then, actually, I didn't think I was going to be banished,

because, in the red room, they weren't asking me questions

about what I was going to do.

And they were asking everybody else.

I'm like, they're not asking me what I'm going to do

when I get out, so I'm staying.

Well, Brittany, from the moment

you walked in the "Big Brother," it

seemed, to most of the viewers, that you

really gave it your all.

Here's how it came across on TV.

I feel like I kind of stick out here.

Well, if you didn't have pink hair,

you might fit in a little bit better.

And you forget the grandness of it.

And it's just a camera, not a bunch of people watching.

Plus, I still don't really get how big this is.

So I don't know-- you know?

Now a big part of your experience

in the "Big Brother" house was your relationship with Josh.

Life inside the house--

it is not like actual life.

I mean, you take away all the things that

make you a grown up, make you responsible,

make you levelheaded.

In normal life, you have work, family, friends.

You know, you're organizing things.

You have your attention spread across different things.

And a little thing happens that you wouldn't even

notice, because you can't waste your time worrying about this

or thinking about this, because you have an appointment,

and you have a dentist, and whatever.

And then a little thing happens in the "Big Brother" house

and you have absolutely nothing to do but dwell

on that one little thing.

So my fear is that my emotions-- like

how I feel towards him and every little thing he does--

was so blown out of proportion in the house.

Because that was--

I mean, that's like what I had to focus on in the house.

JULIE: Right.

So I didn't want--

like if we did kiss, it would just open the floodgates,

you know?

I mean, it just--

once you start something, it's a lot harder--

JULIE: It would explode to a huge level.

And judging how my emotions are in that house, I just--

I wasn't ready.

I just wasn't ready.

You seem to have true feelings for Josh.

What do you think his feelings are for you?

I mean, I--

I think actually likes me.

I-- I just think it's the whole house, too.

It's like it's so stupid to think that we would like

each other, because totally different points in our life,

we don't have anything in common, really.

It's just-- so it's like, is it the house?

Is it us?

Is it just-- you know--

I don't know.

So what do you think is going to happen

when Josh, eventually, comes out of "Big Brother" house?

He's from Fresno, you live in Minneapolis.

What's going to happen to this Josh, Brittany relationship.

Well, I mean, we're going to be friends.

And we've agreed to be friends.

He once said if you had not been in the house, if Jordan

had not been in there, he would probably pursue

a relationship with Jamie.

you think is going to happen?

And everybody in the house was joking about it--

Well, that I haven't seen yet.

But maybe it's out there.

It's kind of something.

Brittany, suffice it to say, you're probably now the most

famous virgin in America.

JULIE: I have to ask you--

But why-- why did you reveal something

so personal about yourself on national television?

That's a good question.

JULIE: And do you regret it?

Oh my god!

I-- I don't regret it, I guess.

It-- it just--

it just came out.

I mean, we were talking.

Did you guys show the clip of how it came out?

JULIE: Yes. - OK.

Before you went in the house, you were interviewed.

And you said, I'm a virgin.

And you said-- - Yeah.

Oh, I thought you meant in the house, how it came out.

No.

Actually, I didn't, at first.

I didn't put it on my document or my resume

in my first interview, but when I got callback for semi finals,

I was told that there would be a full, physical exam and stuff.

And she went through and said, if there's

anything that I'm hiding--

drug use, this, or that-- they're

like full physical, full drug, everything.

And I said, you know, OK.

Whatever.

Because I didn't want to get on the show

because I was the token virgin.

Like I didn't-- I wanted to get on for me.

Right.

And so, actually, what happened is they turned off

the cameras, and I got up to leave,

and I'm like, OK, there's one little thing that I didn't

quite say, because I thought--

I thought it was a full, full physical and it would show up.

And so that's when I said it.

And then--

But then you talked about it in the house,

openly, knowing that would go out on the airwaves.

Yeah. Well, once it was out, you know?

Like once I said that, and then my next series of interviews,

obviously, it was a question, then I just decided,

OK, I'll talk openly about it.

And I was asked in my interviews,

if it came up in the house, if I would say that.

And I said I would.

And then it came up in the house.

And so it just kind of--

I guess it's a part of me.

And--

So you don't regret it.

I mean, you're very honest.

No.

Proud of it?

Well, I don't think it's something

to be proud or not proud of.

It's-- because I don't want to-- anybody

that has had sex, it doesn't mean

that like I'm better than them. JULIE: OK.

Good point.

So it's not a-- it's just one part of me that just is.

Now Brittany, you are the creator

of the so-called love bed.

Yes.

JULIE: Why was that love bed so important to you?

You're-- in that house, you're stripped of everything.

I mean I'm an affectionate person, normally.

I'm affectionate with my friends, my family.

And it's very-- it was very, very lonely, being in there.

It was an empty feeling.

And I think affection makes people get closer.

I think, for me, personally, I open

up more, if I'm like holding someone's hand

or like being cuddled by someone.

It's a safety to be me.

JULIE: Sure.

It's-- you know, how can you-- how can

you sleep in bed, and cuddle with someone,

and then lie to them?

Right.

And not reveal a lot about yourself to them.

Yeah. It's just-- it's a--

I don't know.

Who do you think is going to win this thing?

Oh, dear.

I think it's anybody's guess.

I mean, I don't know what the voting has been like.

I just--

But you know them more than we do, probably.

Yeah, but I don't know what the general public likes.

JULIE: OK. - I don't know.
