teams must travel by Van 2.2

miles to this open market.

Once here they'll choose eight

foam mattresses, wrap them in

mattress covers and deliver

them on foot approximately one

mile through these confusing

streets to the provided

address.

When their delivery is

complete, the homeowner will

give them their next lue.

In short letter, the newly

joined teams must travel by Van

approximately 3.5 miles to this
place.

Once here, they'll choose a

paper-making station and use

local methods to produce and

decorate 28 sheets of

hand-craft paper.

Once the artisan signals that

they have correctly made their

paper, they'll receive their

next clue.

traveled here separately will

be waiting for them.

It's the hardest thing in

do, is this race, so... and

these are some good women.

I formed a friendship with

them and I know it's a lasting

friendship, so I hate to see my
friends go.

This has been the first of

everything with them and i'm

just relishing their spunk,
their spirit.

I just appreciate the spirit of

who they are.

The race has made me

appreciate where I'm from.

Kentucky is who we are.

I love my little place in the
world.

But it's also made me

appreciate the fact that I

don't have to be stuck in one

place, that I need to get out

and take my kids to see the
world.

I don't want my kids to be like
me.

I want them to be able to

experience life because I never

experienced life.

It's a whole whew book.
