with… multiple people is that, uh,

sometimes you can get feelings
for more than one person at the same time.

I ended up in a situation
where I had to choose between two girls

that I'd never actually met.

-And--
-You're just telling them everything.

-I might as well, right?
-[Bliss] You can.

[Zack] I don't know. I mean…

I can see even talking about it
makes Bliss uncomfortable.

-So it's really awkward talking.
-That's okay.

[Katherine] Yeah, we wanna know.

-Go ahead.
-Keep-- Keep going.

Keep going.

[Zack] Um, so, I ended up having feelings

for two different women at the same time.

I never, ever wanted
to be in that situation.

There was all this uncertainty.

You know, I talked with Bliss about, um,

whether I was gonna fit in
with your family.

I really didn't know if it would work
when we got into the real world.

None of us did.
That's the whole point is to experiment.

[Zack] Yeah.

And, um,

yeah, I made the wrong decision.

[sighs] I ended up realizing
that the person I had proposed to

was there for the wrong reasons.

And so I called it off.

-[Annalee] So…
-Well-- Oh.

Yeah, go ahead and ask him questions.
Feel free to be a little mean.

Throw some wine in his face, you know.
He might deserve it.

-Can we go talk for a minute?
-[Bliss laughs]

So, what makes you sure about Bliss

now, that you wanna be with her?

Because, you know,
her family is a big part of her life.

And you said something about, you know,

you weren't sure if you were gonna fit in
and all that.

So, I mean, can you elaborate
on that a little bit more?

So, the way I grew up, um,

I mean, I grew up in poverty.
I grew up in… uh, with not much stability.

I literally had
to teach myself most everything.

I mean, my mom gave me unconditional love.

And, uh, my mom has passed away,
so she's not around anymore.

But I've been in relationships in the past

with women who came
from very well-to-do families,

where I was definitely not accepted
by their family because of how I grew up.

I think that is
what really made me nervous

is, like, hearing
about how your family is.

So, when I talked about, like, my fear
about not being accepted… it's that.

-Romeo and Juliet didn't work out, right?
-Right.

[Zack] They tried.
They tried to make it work, but it didn't.

Um, that's… really was one
of the things that scared me,

but I think when I saw her,

and we met for the first time
in the real world,

she walked in the room,
and I was like, "Oh, wow."

[chuckles] And I just… I felt
this connection with her immediately.

And she had, like, this serious face

'cause she didn't want me
to know how she felt.

-I didn't know how I was gonna feel.
-But I could feel it.

-I hadn't seen you before.
-What did you feel?

[Zack] Just warmth.

Yeah, just this warm feeling.

-Yeah.
-Sometimes things just happen.

And it just feels right,
and you just gotta go for it.

[Annalee] So, you see yourself with him?

You can see how your life is gonna be?
You can see your future?

Yeah, I can.

[Zack] She really does love me,

and I know you do,
even though she doesn't wanna admit it.

-No, I do love you.
-I know.

I wouldn't have said yes
to you proposing to me…

[laughing] …after you were engaged
to another woman if I didn't love you.

[laughing]

Anyway. I bring that up a lot.

Kind of, like, I joke about it a lot.
But it's true, though.

Well, it was a hurtful thing, I'm sure.

No one wants to feel second best,
you know. We just…

We just wanna know, like,

if you're gonna be able
to be the man, you know.

Like, we know that words are words.

Bliss would not be holding your hand

if she did not truly love you.

-[Bliss] Mm-hmm.
-She would not have said yes to you.
