[Brennon] I'm very nervous to have
a conversation with Alexa's dad.

I want him to know that I'm for real,
and that, you know,

I'm gonna do anything it takes
to marry Alexa.

And I want, you know,
him to be okay with it.

I don't want there to be animosity,
or I don't want there to be objection.

I just wanna be able to
put his mind at ease as best as I can

that I don't look at this
as a month-long thing.

I don't think this is
a six-month, or a year, five-year plan.

This is... To me, this is...

This is my life.

Alexa comes off as tough on the exterior.

Yeah.

But, I mean, as you've seen,
she's a very emotional person.

Of course, she's my baby.
I don't want her to get hurt.

-Yes, sir.
-And she expects a lot out of life.

So she expects
just the way we live our life...

And, you know,
live-life-to-the-fullest kind of people.

-Yes, sir.
-Travel, food, fun, entertainment.

And I just want to make sure that
she has somebody that can give her,

you know, what she's grown up with.

[somber music plays]

I can't promise you today, tomorrow,
in a year, I can't give her this.

I grew up with no heat and AC in my house.

I've worked my whole life
to make sure that's not the case,

and I don't want that
for myself and my family.

I think that's part of...
having not been ready in the past,

I've always wanted to be able
to provide those things,

to be able to do those things,

um, and provide that
to my family and my wife.

I can promise you 100%,
just like I want to promise her,

I'll work every day, I'll work my ass off

to give her the best life
that she deserves.

[Adam] And I speak my mind.

If I see you f*cking around
and slacking... slacking off,

and not living up
to your full potential, I'll tell you.

Yes, sir.

To me, actions speak a lot,

and I wanna be able
to show you over time who I am.

-I know this is a quick process with us.
-[Adam] Yeah.

I'm 100% certain
about being in love with your daughter.

-Um...

She's... She's a wonderful person,

and we might not have come
from the same way of life

or the same culture,
but as far as things go,

the things that we value in life
are the same.

We have that love for the family,
with our families,

but also be acknowledging of others.

Like I said, she...
she does play that tough part,

but inside she's extremely charismatic
about people.

-She's very soft-souled.
-Right.

Um, and I do see that, and that's...
that's what I fell in love with, with her.

Okay. So I just want to make sure
that, you know, she's in good hands.

I'm gonna give my entire effort
to everything with her.

I mean, she speaks very highly of you.

So I'm going by her judgment.
I hope that she's making a good decision,

you're making a good decision,
and you guys live the best lives you can.

[chuckles]

We live a very affluent lifestyle,

and when I thought
about Alexa marrying somebody,

it's a little bit different
than what I thought she would marry.

But they 100% have my blessing.

He's a great guy.

It's the first relationship
that I've seen her in where I say,

"Okay, I... I approve."

Um, so I'm very happy about that.

All right, so just one last thing.

You told Alexa that you wouldn't mind
converting to Judaism.

-Yes, sir.
-I got good news and bad news.

Can you work through that?

And I think that's... We did have a...
I'm so glad you said that

'cause we did talk about
what your perfect wife would look like.

And it was...
I'm not your perfect-looking wife.

-Because you think that...
-[Amalia] But you're still attractive.

-Don't forget that.
-Absolutely. We've had this conversation.

You're very beautiful,
and you are hot commodity, I heard.

-You got proposed to before. So...
-[Bartise] Yeah, she did!

-Yeah, she's a hot commodity.
-She had multiple? Wow.

Well, tell us about Nancy.
Who are you? What are your goals?

What would your life look like
in, like, five years?

So I do pride myself in,
like, being debt-free,

in being able to have
my real estate portfolio growing, um,

and I also love speech pathology.

-That was one of our first disagreements.
-Oh yeah.

I think my life and experiences
are gonna be more valuable to me

than paying off debt fast.
But we talked about it.

What I identify in the pods was that,
if we did have a disagreement,

she's gonna have a level head
like y'all raised me to have,

and we can just talk about it
as human beings.

-Right.
-[Bartise] Set the emotions aside.

That's what we've been doing
in the real world.

It's easy to communicate
and easy to hear both each other's sides

even though we're disagreeing.
The thing I'm currently working through

is the conversation we had
about, you know, the kids in the future.

If they're gonna have
some sort of disability.

"Would we keep the kid?"
I was like, "Why not?"

And then your answer was the opposite.
And I was like... [claps]

-Sorry, I'm really passionate about this.
-It's okay.

[Amalia sobs] And they're such blessings.

So to think that, you know,
it's able just for them to not be here.

[Nancy] Yeah.

[Amalia] It's just crazy.

-So I'd just really like to talk to that...
-[Nancy] Yeah.

I only believe that now
because of what I've seen.

I was working with kids
who had special needs.

I specialize with Down syndrome,
I had kids that were medically fragile,

so they have all sorts
of medical illnesses.

And for me, working with so many... children

and the struggles that they went through,
and then seeing their families break down,

and seeing where fathers were disconnected
from the mothers and the family

and almost...

Almost as though they didn't have a kid.

I can't even imagine...

-Like, I would cry for hours after work.
-[Bartise] Mm-hmm.

[Nancy] I realized if this happened to me,

what would I do?
If I could have prevented that,

would I have?

[emotional music plays]

I'm not saying to change that.
I'm saying that was a big factor to me.

I know you'd be open-minded
to have a discussion in the future.

The topic of abortion
definitely... worries me.

I wasn't afraid to bring up the topic,

but I know
that a lot of people don't understand.

Although I was sad to see her cry,

I was hoping that they would understand

why I have my own beliefs.

[music fades]

Obviously, we feel very strongly about it,

but I understand where you're coming from.

But if I had a husband
that wanted something different,

I would be the type to talk about it.

And that's what being married is about.

Just talking about things

Good for you. Alexa, my girl.

I just talked to Matt.

Um...

I know what you said to Colleen.

-[Cole] I have zero feelings for Colleen.
-I don't care at this point.

Why do you not care?
I am sh**ting you straight.

-There is one girl in this for me.
-No, I care.

-You.
-You have affected my self-esteem.

Yeah, and we're still great.
Do you not think we're great?

-I thought we were doing better than ever.
-What has changed for you?

But now I feel like
we're right back in Malibu

where you're really upset
about one comment I made,

and then you asked more about it,
and I could've lied to your face, like,

-"You're exaggerating."
-Yeah, the honesty has really helped me.

You and I have talked
about this extensively.

Colleen and I told each other how we feel
about each other physically.

But in the pods, it was very clear

that emotionally
we had zero connection whatsoever.

And you and I had, like,

I proposed to you without seeing you.

And then I saw you, and oh my gosh,
there was another girl out of the five

that I thought,
"Wow. That's more my type."

"That's kinda
what I was expecting to marry."

But I proposed to a girl named Zanab.

You think I thought Zanab would look like
the girls I dated in the past

that were named, like, Lily?

No. You and I have recounted this
situation time and time again

on an airplane and in Malibu.

And here we are, two weeks later,
and you have a conversation with Matt.

Do you see why I'm upset?

Because I thought we were past that.

I'm attracted to Zay,
and I have no feelings for Colleen.

[Zanab] Yeah. I love...

I love that whole display.

That's my "display."

I do.
