I feel like dating apps are convenient,

but it's so hard to really get to know
someone for their authentic self


when you get, like, a curated snapshot.

And this experiment offers
no distractions.


You really get to know
the heart and soul of who they are.


Race is something you can't really hide
on the dating apps,


and, you know, for a lot of us,
it kinda, like, filters away, like...


People have certain requirements
of who they want to date.


I feel like this gives you the opportunity

to kinda, like, fall in love
with someone's mind before anything else,


and then the race, the looks,

your job, your status,
all of that comes on top of that.


Well, over the next ten days,
you're gonna date a lot of single people.


If you find someone you wanna spend
the rest of your life with,


you'll propose.

you'll finally see your fiancé
for the very first time.

because I'm looking for a husband.

My dad was always like,
"Look, whoever you end up with,


it has to be a friend.
It has to be your companion."


He was like, you know,
"If you guys can't be friends,


true friends,
where you have each other's backs,


it's not gonna work."

[Bartise] Divorce was like...
Obviously, I hate it.


My parents are going through it.
I just hate seeing them alone.


Yeah.

I wanna be able to say I was with somebody
for my entire life.


I'm looking for a best friend.

I'm literally looking for
that best friend,


that companion your dad wants for you.

Oh my goodness, boys.

I have 100% been judged by my age.

Many girls have, like, a picture
of younger guys kind of being immature,


not ready for anything serious,

but I would say that I have
my sh*t together for a 25-year-old.


And the missing aspect,
I guess, in my life right now, is love.

Just, like, my dad's best friend's name.

and then so my dad wanted me

My first name's Robert.

When I was born, my mom was holding me
in the hospital.


She shook me a bit and said,
"Robert." I didn't move.


She said, "Bartise!"

And I moved my head
a little bit towards her,


kind of opened my eyes a bit,

and ever since then,
I've always been Bartise.


That's actually a cute story.

[laughs]

Tell me how your perfect first date
would go. Besides this one, you know.


[both laughing]

I teach Pilates. So I like to be active.

But then, like, let's have a drink after
and, like, be able to talk more.


-[Bartise] Uh-huh.
-Go on a walk.


[Bartise] Yes, that's literally,
like, my ideal first date.


You work out a lot[/i] a lot a lot, or what?

I'm like a serial worker-outer
with different trainers.


-So I literally work out everywhere.
-Hell yeah, Raven.

That's probably my biggest passion,
fitness and nutrition.


-Honestly, same.

Before coming here, I was eight weeks out
from a physique competition.


-Okay!
-I was training for a bodybuilding show.

[both laugh]

Muscles completely blind me.

Paralyzed, blind.

I'm helpless.

Yeah, I'll be your girlfriend. [chuckles]

I'm guilty of letting a lot of things go
if I like how the person looks,


which, in a lot of ways,
can be pretty self-destructive, you know?


But I'm really trying to work on that
and that's why I'm here.


What's your name?

My name is SK.

-SK?
-Yeah.


It's just S and K.

-[Raven] What do you do?
-[SK] Uh, I work in tech.


-Where'd you go to college?
-I went to Baylor in Waco.


[Raven] Oh! Okay, Baylor.

I am actually getting ready
to go to grad school as well.


-I'll be heading to Berkeley in the fall.
-Wow. Ooh!

-Where are you from?
-I am originally from Nigeria.


Nigeria. Nigerians are cool.

Yeah, two of my best girlfriends
growing up actually were Nigerian.

Something that I want in a woman
is someone who is educated


and not completely ignorant,
thinking Africa is a country.

if we had, like, a lion as a pet before.

Like they're just roaming around
in your backyards.

And really get to just see who Colleen is.

I'm a ballet dancer.

Ballet is... is very physically extensive.

-You gotta have your body in good shape.

-What kind of things do you do?
-I'm a ballet dancer. So, very different.


Do you, like, pop your entire body?
Like, all of your joints on your body?


Yes. I'll, like, bend into the side
and my friends will be like,


"It looks like you're passing gas
a little bit," you know?

-Um, I'm a ballet dancer.

-I just am so lucky


that I get to live a life
where I'm doing my passion.


I love that you do ballet.
I chased money after college.


I got what I wanted and then I was like,
"It's not fulfilling."


-Yeah.
-This year, I'm a wildlife photographer.


-Oh my gosh.
-Uh, mostly big cats in Africa.


Wait, so you, like... You've been to Africa?

Last year I was in Germany,
Istanbul, and, uh, Kenya.

-I'm a ballet dancer.

-Yeah, I still dance professionally now.

I do the splits.

I want to make a lot of babies. For sure.

Like, right now, if I could just, like,

I'd say, like, seven.

But real-world dating sucks.

It's been one of the hardest things,
is dating as an adult.


In high school, easy.
Got a massive pool to choose from.


In college, easy. You're living on campus.
There's babes everywhere.


You become an adult, it's like
you're at the office working all the time.


What, am I really gonna meet my wife
in a grocery store?


I did[/i] see a hot girl
on the toilet paper aisle


and started a conversation,
but it's, like, how am I gonna do that?


How am I gonna lock that up?
I'm never gonna see her again.


[Cole] What do you do?

[woman 4] I'm in nursing.
So, I'm a critical care nurse.


-Oh no, you're a nurse.
-Yeah... What do you mean, no?


-[laughs] No, I just...
-[squeals]


No. Nurses are off the table for me.

I don't do nurses.

-What are you drinking right now?
-A beer.


-No way. You're a beer girl.

I'm usually, like,
a light beer with olives.


[Cole] She likes beer with olives.

-[laughs] This is Zanab.


-Zanab?
-Yes.

So, Zanab, tell me about you. Who are you?

-Wait, can I know your name?
-My name is Cole.


-What do you do, Cole?
-I work in real estate.


I'm an agent, but I also flip houses.

-So, I'm basically a mogul, y'know?
-[chuckles]


The first concert I ever went to
was a Jonas Brothers concert,


and this is a deal-breaker.
Do you like the Jonas Brothers?


-Yeah.
-Like, we'd all marry one of them.


-They're all hunks.
-[laughs]


I'm a picky guy. [chuckles]
You gotta be able to banter.

My family, like, they're all Israeli.


When I lived in Israel,
that's, like, what we did.


I'd host Shabbat dinners
at my house there.


Like, my great-grandma lived there
and I was the first grandchild


and great-grandchild ever to cook for her.

I'm the only great-grandson

that my great-grandma taught
her tacos de papas recipe to.


You're obviously the favorite.

It's been a lot of fun
going through 15 dates in one day,


going from girl, to girl, to girl.
It's more dates in one day


than I have in just about my entire life.

I mean, I'm exhausted. [laughs]

-[laughs]


-We like all the same women.
-[Tony groans]


[Cole] That's it.

That's what I've been missing in my life.

And when Cole was like,
"Yeah, I just wanna go hop in my truck


and go out fishing
and just take my shirt off


and go in the water,"
I was like... [gasps] "Keep talking."


[all laughing]

You didn't get the jingle jangles.
You got fanny flutters.


Fanny flutters! I love that.

[woman 6] I like a fanny flutter.

[laughter]

[Alexa] One guy can make Israeli food.
I was like,


"Wanna do a shakshouka-off?
Are you kidding?"


And he was like, "Let's go right now."
So, we're... we're already engaged.


-[Loren] You found your person.
-Yeah.


It's like first-day jitters
for, like, 15 different people.


[all laughing]

I don't think I'm anywhere up near
this guy's top, and I definitely wanna be.


I have absolutely had a checklist.

Height, no kids, no smoker.

Those checkboxes
and what I've been doing outside of here


has obviously not worked for me.

[laughs] Unapologetically
picky as f*ck over here.


I'm gonna go over here
so I can have some privacy.


At the end of day one, Andrew,

I can tell he's extremely intelligent.
That voice is like butter.


I asked, like, three of the girls
if they own Dogecoin. [chuckles]


Cole is just that people person.
His voice is inviting.


You can't help but, like,
smile when you hear it.


Brennon is a foodie.

I was like, "I like it spicy, girl."

[Zanab] Definitely felt like
he was confident.


Bartise, he's charismatic, smooth talker.

He just seems quite logical.
I need that in my life.


Knowing that people have gone through
this experiment and are still married


and still happy,
who's to say that can't happen for me?


I'm ready to be boo'd up for life.

[chuckles]

[music fades out]

It's only day two, but I'm very hopeful.

And I feel very good about saying

that I will leave this experiment

with my best friend.

And it's scary,

but I think that, like, I've always
trusted my gut and I've always...


[sniffles, sighs]

That's full-time.

I'll say this is a big thing
for me to even say...

Like, I do some service industry things.

That I know can be challenging for men.

I've been doing, like,

Having clarity and confidence

So, that's what makes me nervous.

I know I will have a good life with him.
I know I'll have a good life.


We will have a good life together.

I was like, "You're so funny." [laughs]

'Cause we literally joke all the time.

[Colleen] You think you'd have,
like, the same type? Or...


Uh, I don't want to be mean,
but she comes across as very...


She's very... [imitates Nancy] "Oh, bubbly!"

And that's just very agreeable
with any kind of person, right?


-Especially any kind of man, you know?
-Yeah.


Nancy is like that person, like,

you see in Walmart from high school
and you're like... [whimpers]


You know, like, "Hey."

But also like...

I might act like I'm busy
and we don't have to talk.


So, it's hard.

It's hard to handle the anxiety
of feeling like Bartise could be making


these same kinds of connections
with other people.


I think about it a lot.

Bartise, he's, like,
you know, very flirty.


Like, we're just like so organic,
so comfortable,


like, literally the same person.

If I hear someone say Bartise...

Oh!

...my ears perk up and I'm like,

"No. Nancy, walk away."

Honey, if I want him to be my husband,
like, my one...

If homegirl sh**t her sh*t with Bartise,

then I'mma let Bartise figure that out.

[Nancy] So, my potential future husband
should probably know this.


-You have, like, four kids already?
-No, I don't.


-But it's on the topic of that.
-[laughs] Okay.


When I was in grad school,
I actually was an egg donor.


Eight... Eight different times.

And on average, I would give...
The eight times I did it,


I would give those family
anywhere from 25 to 30 eggs.


So, technically, there could be, like,


I'm not their mother,

and I definitely not whatsoever see
these offspring as my children.


-[Bartise] Mm-hmm.
-However, they are out there.


But if the child turns 18

and wants to know
who their biological mother is,


I did sign paperwork that would allow them
to have my information.


Yeah.

Some friends stopped being my friends
when I did this because,


"Oh, it's against what God
was meant to do for pregnancy."


And although I've not birthed a child,

like, just having partners
in the past who said,


"Now you have kids without my sperm."

Like, a very manly mindset of it all.

I don't know how you feel about that.

That's crazy.

First of all, thank you, like,
for sharing that.


But that's, like, not...
I don't see that as an issue.


I think that's beautiful
that you were helping multiple families.


What I would hope that the kids
when they turn 18, reach out to you


'cause I would want to reach out
to my biological mother just to meet her


at least one time and see,
like, where I came...


like, actually
actually came from.

Yeah. Okay, speaking of kids...

I want a girl first and then a boy.
But ideally, two boys.

For me, that answer is 100%.
