and concentrates it in the highlighted area,

but it needs time to build up.

That is step one.

[Ash and Goh] Mm-hm.

[Clemont] In step two, it takes the built-up bioenergy

and sends it through the leek in a thrusting motion.

[all gasp]

Oh, no.

[Clemont] But that's where the third step comes in!

Normally, it would attack its opponent with all that built-up energy,

but Ash's Sirfetch'd is somewhat

unsteady in its movement from buildup to thrust.

As a result,

the energy can't sustain its cohesion at the end of the leek,

and it dissipates.

To perfect the move, we need to eliminate that unsteadiness.

[Ash and Goh gasp]

[keyboard clacks]

[Clemont] Here's a simulation.

Stillness breeds movement.

Movement breeds stillness.

Using this to form a stable energy flow,

Meteor as*ault should create a huge amount of force to attack with.

-Whoa. -Wow, science is so amazing!

But why is it unsteady, anyway?

[Clemont] According to the data compared to when it was a Farfetch'd,

the leek and shield that Sirfetch'd carries are much heavier.

So it's my theory that the change

is the cause of Sirfetch'd's unsteadiness.

But a few minutes ago,

it had the power to send Dracovish flying into the gym wall!

One more theory.

[Clemont] It was Dracovish biting the leek that stabilized Sirfetch'd's stance

allowing the energy to concentrate properly.

Wow. You're amazing, Dracovish!

If only Sirfetch'd could better control its charged energy and thrusts.
