So, that's what keeps happening.

Second, he can use it as an exercise ball to keep in shape.

And finally, at night when he has trouble sleeping

it'll sing him gently to sleep.

Well, it's a strange story.

Daddy, the only thing I want

for my birthday this year is a Jigglypuff.

I want to dance with a Jigglypuff

and sing with a Jigglypuff

and do all kinds of fun things with it.

MITCH I couldn't disappoint her, so the next day

I requested time off from work.

Then, I came to these woods

where Jigglypuff are known to live

thinking it would only take a few days to catch one.

And I did find one, almost immediately.

But being an amateur Pokémon Trainer

I didn't know what I was doing.

So, I just wasted one Poké Ball after another.

That Jigglypuff sang me to sleep so often

I got used to sleeping on the ground.

After a while, it became a game for the Jigglypuff

showing up every day, me trying to catch it

and every day the same result.

I got worried as my daughter's birthday approached.

So I studied basic Pokémon Training

and learned I should tire out the Jigglypuff in battle

before trying to capture it.

Then I got lucky and captured my Loudred.

Its Soundproof Trait keeps it awake

even through a Jigglypuff song

and so I thought I was finally ready

to challenge this pesky Jigglypuff.

But so far I'm empty-handed.

You'll catch it someday.

Yeah, but didn't you say

your daughter's birthday was coming up?

Yes, very soon. Tomorrow, actually.

I suppose but I know I'm not going to make that deadline.
