I'm thinking we should take care of it.

I thought so, so I looked around with that in mind.

-[cooing] -[grunting]

It looks like Pidove feels comfortable on Yamper's back.

But a few minutes ago, it was terrified of Yamper.

It's already completely forgotten that fear.

Pidove will eagerly do whatever their Trainers ask them to do…

but they don't understand complicated commands,

so they don't always remember their Trainers' requests.

And even its dear Chloe pays more attention to Pidove.

some Flying-type Pokémon just don't realize it's there.

Luckily, it didn't take much damage.

It flew off again almost immediately.

[Chloe] I'm sure Pidove wants to take to the sky and soar just like that again.

I'm thinking we should take care of it.

Yamper's jealous of all the attention Chloe's been paying to Pidove lately.

Trying to make sure I don't give Pidove any more attention than Yamper.

So, as long as Pidove stays away from Chloe, everything's fine?

Jealousy's kind of a pain to deal with, you know?

compared to how jealous you could get when you were younger.

We received Yamper from a good friend who lived in the Galar region.

That was before Parker was born, and Chloe was still our only child.

She was incredibly jealous of Yamper.

Yamper was going to steal your mommy and daddy away from you.

I did that? Really? I don't remember it at all!

But, for me, I rarely ever got to observe Galar Pokémon

so I was careful not to let you catch me while I secretly did research on Yamper.

Your mother and I had to be really careful not to show any affection for Yamper

while you were in the same room.

How embarrassing. I guess I was so childish.

Things like that always happen. Please don't feel embarrassed.

You sound familiar with it!

I experienced that, too, but it was with my little sister.

I was jealous of her.

Okay, so how did Chloe and Yamper end up being such good friends?

Well, one day, Chloe was talking to Yamper and said,

"Yamper, why don't you just go somewhere else?"

Aww. Sounds like I was such a brat!

And that's when "the incident" took place.

[both] Incident?

The "Yamper Runs Away Incident."

[Chloe] Runs away?

Yamper, why don't you just go somewhere else?

Yamper…

[whimpering]

[scoffs]

[Cerise] I wonder what could have happened.

[Talia] Where could it have gone off to?

[gasps]

-[young Chloe] Is something wrong? -We can't seem to find Yamper.

[young Chloe] Yamper?

Daddy will go out and find Yamper, so don't you worry.

Now go back to bed and get some rest.

[gasps]

See, Chloe? This is Yamper.

[yelps]

[Cerise] Ever since then, Yamper couldn't sleep unless it was in Chloe's room,

and it wouldn't eat a thing unless Chloe made its food.

One thing I know for sure,

Yamper was thrilled you went out looking for it.

Yamper! Yamp, yamp, yamper! [barking, growling]

-[all gasp] -Is that Yamper?

[screeches]

Yamp, yamp, yamp…

[purrs]

[cooing]

[thud]

[screaming]

-[purring] -[groaning]

Oh, no! It's Yamper and Pidove!

[Goh grunts] And a Fearow!

-[purring] -Yamp, yamp, yamp…

[Yamper panting]

[gasps]

Yamp! Yamp! Yamp, yamp, yamp…

-Oh, Yamper… -Professor, should we do something?

Let's hold off. Leave it to Chloe and Yamper.

[both gasp]

[barking]

[gasps]

You two are so close…

even if that sometimes causes jealousy.

-You can battle that Pokémon! -But, Dad, I…

Chloe, you can do it!

Go get 'em, Chloe!

[screeching]

All right… Here we go, Yamper!

[Chloe] Use Spark!

[grunting, screams]

[yelling]

-[gasps] -[purrs]

-Amazing! -You did it!

-Pika, pika! -Raboot!

-[gasps] -[purrs]

[pants] Yamp, yamp, yamp…

[gasps]

[screeches]

Yamper! [pants]

[gasps] Fearow, come back!

[Goh] I wanna catch you! Come back!

[whines]

-Raboot. -Pika.

[giggles]

Thank you so much for everything you did for my Pidove!

Words cannot express my gratitude.

[gasps]

You see, this Pokémon is the leader of my Pidove Racing Team.

[all] It's the leader?

[Trainer] It isn't just fast.

It's also very protective of all of its team members.

[purrs]

It has a rare knack for leadership.

That's incredible.

Does that mean Pidove's going away?

I'm afraid it does. It's going to go back to its home and its friends.
