NARRATOR Having arrived in Verdanturf Town

with May set to enter her third Pokémon contest

our heroes met up with a mysterious coordinator

known only as the Phantom.

Ash and friends soon learned that the Phantom

was actually a shy boy named Timmy

with big dreams of entering the contest himself.

Unfortunately, Timmy's mother

a powerful business woman

who had forbidden her son

to have any contact with Pokémon

had become suspicious.

Hoping to take the heat off Timmy

so that he might realize his dream

Brock stepped into pose as the Phantom.

While things didn't go exactly as planned

in the end, Timmy was able to enter the Pokémon contest.

Our heroes will soon find out however

that the shy little boy they'd helped

will soon be May's fierce opponent.

May obviously doesn't have very much experience

battling against Ghost Pokémon.
