We made it! We're finally here!

- Wow! Nimbasa City rocks! - Pikachu.

Yeah, that Ferris Wheel is humongous.

Axew.

Wow, and there are other places for having battles

besides the Nimbasa City Gym.

'Apparently there are so many Trainers who come here'

'to sharpen their battling skills'

'Nimbasa City is nicknamed Battle Central.'

So we'd better get over to the Gym right away. Can't wait!

- Pikachu. - 'Stop the clock.'

- Huh? - I'm beat!

I need to find the Pokemon Center

and do some serious chilling.

[gasping]

You know, I'm kind of hungry, Ash.

Why don't we go the Pokemon Center first thing?

- 'Cause I wanna Gym Battle now! - Pika-Pika.

[tummy rumbling]

I get the feeling your dual rumbling tummies

might have other plans.

- Maybe so. - Pika.

Excellent! And I know just where the Pokemon Center is!

- Follow me! - Hm?

Must be an exciting Pokemon Center.

Here it is! Voila!

Cilan, this is how you get down to the subway.

This is no ordinary subway.

The Nimbasa subway is fast and easy.

And of course, that means the Pokemon Center

is mere minutes away.

Yeah! Fast and easy are my middle names, you know?

There's only one way to travel in Nimbasa City

and that's on the subway. All aboard! Let's go!

Wow, just like a little kid, he loves his trains.

Yeah, who knew you were into subways? Cool!

With a passion! After all, I'm a metro connoisseur!

- "Metro connoisseur?" - "Metro connoisseur?"

- Pika. - Axew.

(Ash) "Crisis From The Underground Up."

(narrator) Our heroes have finally arrived in Nimbasa City.

Now, it's off to the Pokemon Center

via the Nimbasa City subway.

Oh, joy! They've got a subway train exhibit!

- Looks like subway cars to me. - Hmpf.

Ash, it's much more than that, which means it's subway time.

Which also means it's lecture time.

Xew.

Now, this is called a double train

and it's one of the oldest mass-produced trains around.

What's mass-produced?

Mass-produced means they made a lot of them.

It was much more efficient than making one train car

at a time and was also responsible

for its small number of parts.

- Is that good? - It sure is.

Using fewer parts means that it takes much less

time and money to manufacture them.

Yes, the double train was a model of no-waste efficiency

which is why it became the standard for future models.

Yeah, too bad it hasn't become the standard for your mouth.

Well, I am a metro connoisseur.

Although the term "Metro connoisseur"

actually refers to connoisseurs who specialize in trains

and those who specialize in tracks.

And of course, that can be further sub-divided

into engine-type connoisseurs and body-type connoisseurs.

Okay, my stomach's heard enough. What we need now is food.

School's out for the day, now, it's grub time.

But I wanted to look at the pretty train some more.

[train engine rumbling]

Oh.

Hey, look at that man, mommy. Isn't he funny?

This is embarrassing. What are you doing?

I'm looking at the controls, of course.

- 'Sounds boring to me.' - Of course not.

It's a metro connoisseur's dream!

(Ash) 'But nobody's in there.'

That's right, because it's ATO.

What's ATO?

(Cilan)'It stands for "Automatic Train Operation."'

'In other words, it's fully automated'

'and doesn't need an engineer.'

(Ash) 'How does it run?'

(Cilan) 'The main computer in the central control room'

'uses sensors to detect the train's position'

'which speeds up or slows down the train'

'and when it arrives at its final destination, stops it.'

[machine beeping]

[screaming]

The train's going whack!

The emergency braking system is been engaged for some reason.

There may have been an accident.

Ah. Hm. Ah.

[train engine rumbling]

I've never seen that train before.

And since I'm a metro connoisseur

that's quite unusual.

(man) 'There it is.'

'That Ghost Train is such a mystery.'

- What's a ghost train? - Cilan!

Something's coming down the tracks.

[intense music]

What's that?

'It's Ingo! And Emmet!'

- Who's Ingo? - And Emmet?

Pika-ka.

You see, those two are the subway bosses

who watch over the Nimbasa subway system.

(man on PA)'Ladies and gentlemen, we apologize'

'for the delay. We're now resuming normal subway service.'

Ingo. Emmet. It's been much too long.

If it isn't our favorite metro connoisseur.

I haven't seen you two since last year's subway convention.

There's a subway convention?

It's a wonderful event for subway lovers.

It meets every year.

So is there a problem with the trains?

There is.

'We've had several reports'

'of strange train sightings'

'we haven't been able to identify so far.'

Strange train sightings? Ah.

You mean the ghost train we just saw.

(Emmet) 'Precisely, Cilan.'

The Ghost Train unexpectedly appeared at Drawbridge station

and the ATO stopped all trains in the system

to prevent any potential collisions.

But, true to its name, the Ghost Train

vanished into thin air.

Just a second, I realize I've never seen a train like that

before, but there's no doubt it was a real train.

So how could it just vanish?

I'm afraid we have no idea.

And that's why we're investigating.

How dare someone endanger the lives of innocent passengers

and taint the subway's reputation?

I'll hose you down at the Pokemon Center!

(Ash) 'Check it out!'

Man, I've never seen a Pokemon Center

this big before.

Pika-Pika!

And that's because so many Trainers come to visit us here.

Our lovely gourmet restaurant and Pokemon Vault

are quite spacious as well.

The Pokemon Vault is befitting of a town

nicknamed Battle Central, where the strongest Pokemon

gather to sharpen their battling skills.

Right, the Pokemon Vault's also got

these rocking therapy machines

you can't find at regular Pokemon Centers

and Pokemon can even get special healing massages

by these awesome Audino. Be still my beating heart!

- You really know your stuff. - No duh, palley!

This joint is famous in the Unova Region.

That's why you should let them take care

of every single one of your amazing Pokemon.

- You know, I'll just do that. - Count me in!

Me too.

Of course, that would include

your wonderful Pikachu and Axew.

- What do you say, buddy? - Pikachu!

- How about you, Axew? - Xew!

Plant you now, dig you later.

- Okay, what time is it? - Lunchtime, of course.

Uh, I just remembered something I forgot to do.

- Au. Audino. - Back in a flash.

- Axew. - Pi.

[humming]

[telephone ringing]

This is Meowth. I'm about to commence with our plan.

Excellent.

'Jessie, James, proceed as ordered.'

- Yes, sir. - Proceeding straight away.

[beeping]

Man, that's right. I've gotta call Professor Oak.

Sorry, guys. I'll be right back.

- No problem! - Sorry for the delay.

- So it's on with massage mania! - Audino.

- Pika-Pika! - Huh!

Oh, that's the pride and joy of the Nimbasa City

Pokemon Center's k*ller security system.

Axew.

(Meowth) 'When Audino touches that scanner pad'

'it makes sure that only Nurse Joy or Audino'

'can open the door to the Vault.'

Audino.

[phone ringing]

Hello, my boy. How are you doing, Ash?

I'm fine. It's been a real long time.

- 'Where are you now?' - Nimbasa City.

'Oh, and that means'

'you're going after your fourth Badge.'

- Correct? - 'Yeah.'

(Ash) 'But I'm not really sure which Pokemon'

'I'm gonna use yet.'

Cut off communications to the Pokemon Center.

Not to worry, I'm sure Tracey can give you

plenty of great advice. Tracey?

Uh. Hey, Professor Oak! I wonder what's goin' on..

- Axew. - Pika.

Great, now, why don't you two geniuses

go on back to your other duties?

- Audino. - Audino.

[cackling]

(Boss) 'Next? The drawbridge.'

The switch is moving by itself.

Ah!

[indistinct chatter]

No! What do I do? It's stuck open.

Huh. Hi, Ash. So how is Professor Oak doing?

Well, our call just got cut off.

- Huh? - 'I'll try again later.'

That's the end. No more stupid security.

Hah!

It's like taking candy from a baby.

Have fun. Enjoy your snoozing down the chute.

- Axew. - Pikachu.

[both screaming]

It's just like clockwork.

While Officer Jenny has her hands full

with the drawbridge..

[siren blaring]

- What's up? - Huh?

They're headed to the drawbridge. Let's go!

- Right. - Thank you.

Nurse Joy, do you know what's going on?

Apparently something happened to the drawbridge.

I knew it.

And with all communications in Nimbasa City down

Officer Jenny said there could be trouble

so we should all be very careful.

Hah, first, the ghost train in the subway

next, communications cut off

then the drawbridge having problems..

And then? Cilan?

Hah, all these incidents are occurring in succession.

This must be part of a plan.

- Plan? What's the plan for? - 'Perhaps to steal something?'

- 'Hah! Pokemon!' - Pokemon?

I should've been a pitcher! Heh!

I'll follow you down!

(group) Who's That Pokemon?

It's Woobat!

The Pokemon should all be safe in here.

Our security scan system only allows me

'and the Audino to enter.'

[all panting]

[all gasping]

(Nurse Joy) 'Impossible. The Poke ba*ls are gone!'

Pikachu! Where are you, Meowth?

- Axew! - Hm.

What's that? The air's being sucked down!

This vent could have been a means of escape.

That means maybe the thief is down there somewhere.

- I'm going. - Me too.

Nurse Joy, please tell Officer Jenny what's going on.

Right.

[grunting]

[evil laughter]

Every single Pokemon is in the bag.

Hmm. Which means stage one is a success.

Then let's proceed with confidence.

The airflow has stopped.

All we can do now is keep going.

We've gotta save Pikachu and Meowth.

We won't let them down.

ATO hacking starts now.

[breaks screeching]

[screaming]

All trains are making emergency stops.

What in the world is going on, Emmet?

It's not good.

Ingo, someone's hacked into the ATO system

'and has taken control of everything!'

But how can that be?

[screaming]

It's Meowth! Great! So you're alright.

So were you after the Pokemon thief too?

Huh? Wait. That looks just like the ghost train.

- Huh? - What's up, Meowth?

[laughing]

[all gasping]

I couldn't have done it without your twerpish help.

Our help? What do you mean?

"What do you mean?" You're clueless indeed.

The answer will come as we feel the need.

Bringing the white light of evil into the future.

Thrusting the hammer of justice

onto the black darkness of the universe.

And carving our names in the rock of eternity!

The fiery destroyer. I'm Jessie.

Hah! And with thunderous emotion, I am James.

Wisest of the wise, I am Meowth!

(all) And now, gather, under the name of Team Rocket!

- Meowth! That means.. - This was your plan all along.

- She gets it right. - She gets it right.

I became buddies with you dumb twerps

so I could pull off an inside job.

Breaking into that vault was a piece of cake.

And I'd be rude if I didn't thank you

from the bottom of my calculating heart.

So it was a trick, after all!

Trick or treat, Woobat, Air Slash!

Woobat!

[grunting]

- Stop! - Give us our Pokemon!

[grunting]

- I'm coming, Pikachu! - Pika.

Pika-Pi!

[groaning]

Ash, are you okay?

- Ash, you've got to calm down. - We've gotta stop them.

Then let's head for the subway control room.

We should be able to see exactly

where the ghost train is headed.

I see, so all of this chaos

is the dastardly work of Team Rocket!

First, they stole the Poke ba*ls from the Vault

and then transferred them to the ghost train.

At the same time, they hacked into the ATO

and froze the whole system.

Hold on, if the subway trains were stopped

then wouldn't that have to keep Team Rocket

and the ghost train from getting away?

Oh, how I wish that were so.

They can still use the connecting lines.

Connecting lines?

(Ingo) They're the tracks used to clear the way

for trains coming from behind or from the opposite direction.

(Emmet) And that's how Team Rocket is able

to steer the ghost train wherever they please.

But, isn't there any way to stop them at all?

There's no way of knowing exactly where the ghost train

is now, but since they're using the connecting lines

the fact is they can't head directly

to wherever it is they're going.

Which means they must be taking a circular route.

Let's see, using the connecting lines.. Of course!

'They'll have to pass through the D- point'

'no matter where they travel.'

So we set up an ambush, right?

But the lines are so far apart.

That's it. There's a mail car connecting line.

It links the Nimbasa Central Station

and the Central Post Office. We can use that.

Right. There's a rail car there as well.

- I wanna go too! Please? - Huh?

- But, Ash. - I wanna rescue those Pokemon.

- I wanna go too! - Me too!

Alright. I'll guide you through.

Everything's as it should be. Stage Two is rocking hard!

Right, we've got the entire Nimbasa City subway system

'under our complete control.'

Pika.

- Pika-Pi. - Xew.

We need to get to the mail car rail line on foot.

So be very, very careful.

- Okay! - Okay.

Hang on, everybody!

There. That's it, up ahead.

'Just beyond that door.'

[grunting]

Ah. That's it! The mail car track.

And the mail car.

You just leave the driving to me.

- Thank you, Cilan. - Huh?

I need to try to repair the ATO

and guide the stranded passengers as well.

'This is the route to the D- points.'

- 'I understand. Thanks.' - Be careful.

Right. See you soon. All aboard. Let's go.

We've got company.

The switch to change tracks is right here.

Now, we make a left.

- Hang on tight, g*ng! - Right.

And now, straight! Warp speed!

Five hundred yards until the D- point!

- Cilan! - It's the ghost train!

Right! We won't let them get away!

- A little more! - Speed up, Cilan!

Ramping up to maximum speed!

- I'm going over there! - But, Ash!

[screaming]

What's this?

[Ash screaming]

Emmet, what's the status of the ATO?

We've managed to repair the sensors.

Which means we should be able to detect anything

that moves along the tracks.

'There. A train headed toward the D- point!'

[groaning]

You two guys still in one piece?

Yeah. I really thought we had them!

Who would have thought they'd used a decoy?

So, where's the real ghost train?

- 'Cilan! Come in!' - Huh?

- 'I'm here, Emmet!' - Good!

So how close are you to cutting off Team Rocket

at the D- point?

No good. The mail car got derailed and jumped the tracks!

(Emmet on phone) 'What? Then what is heading

towards the D- point?

(all) Huh?

Oh, no! They're going to get away!

Don't worry, Cilan, as long as our sensor system

is working, we can keep a sharp eye

on exactly where the ghost train is located.

What's going on?

It looks like several ghost trains.

How could there be more than one ghost train?

It sounds like they've got more decoys.

If they do, then which one do we go after?

(narrator) It appears Team Rocket's carefully ex*cuted plan

is working, as the Nimbasa City subway has fallen

under their control, will our heroes be able

to rescue the Pokemon Center's Pokemon

as well as their own Pokemon

from Team Rocket's sinister clutches?

The answers, when the Nimbasa City subway crisis continues.
