home in the big box.

He wondered if maybe
there was something special
inside the box for him?

-What is it daddy?

-It's a surprise.

Hey, don't I get a hello hug?

-Not really.

Maybe it's...
a giant dinosaur egg!

this up for you and you can

was actually just as fun
as playing with the computer.

-Look out Rosie! We're
gonna hit Cat Mountain!

-Ergh.

Help me Leo.

-Boys. You're too
close to my tomato plants.

You might damage them.

we may as well move it.

Okay, Leo, you grab there

-Yeah we did it!

-Hey, it looks like we've

-A special rock?

-Yup, look,
that's a fish fossil.

-What's a fossil?

-Well, a long, long time
ago a fish got stuck in mud,

and after a long, time
the mud turned into rock.

-How did the fish
get stuck in the mud?

-Maybe a bunch
of mud fell on it.

-This was a real fish?

-Good work, boys. Finding
a fossil is very rare.

-Can I bring this home with me?

-No. It's my rock.

-But I found it.

-No. I found it.

-Caillou and
Leo were arguing because they
both wanted the special rock.

But there was only one

-Okay, let's bring
it to the sandbox.

We've got lots of rocks now.

There! Now we
can play dinosaurs.

-But we don't
have our special rock.

-It's too big to carry.

-Boys! What are you
doing bringing rocks inside?

You've made a mess!

-Caillou and Leo realized
they had done something wrong.

But all they wanted to do was
to continue playing dinosaurs.

-But it's raining
and we can't play outside.

-Well you can't bring
the rocks inside the house.

-Did
Caillou and Leo tell you about
the special rock they found?

-No, but it looks like
they found a few special rocks

and they brought
them all inside.

-We found a fossil rock!
But it's too big to carry.

-I've got an idea.

Why don't we leave
the rocks outside so the
rain will clean them off.

And I can take you
and Leo to the library to find
some books on fossils okay?

-Caillou and Leo were excited
about going to the library.

They had never gone to
the library together before.

-I'm going to
find a book on fossils.

-I'm going to find
a book about dinosaurs.

-Why don't you both find
a book on dinosaur fossils.

-Dinosaur fossils?

-I'll find it first!

-Caillou and Leo looked and
looked, but they couldn't find

the book they
were searching for.

-Are you boys looking
for any special kind of books?

-Dinosaurs.

-Fossils.

-We have lots of
books about dinosaurs.

Let me show you where they are.

-Caillou and
Leo were very happy looking
at books about dinosaurs.

-This dinosaur
is as big as a tree.

-This one looks scary.

-Roaaarrr!!

Leo! Look!

-Wow! A dinosaur fossil!

-Pretty neat huh?

It's a model
of a dinosaur fossil.

-We found a fossil today!

-It's a fish that
got stuck in the mud.

-Really? Would you boys
like to bring it in some time?

You could put it on
display right here next to this
model of the dinosaur fossil.

-Yeah!

-That's a great idea!
Should we bring it in tomorrow?

-Yeah!

-Caillou and
Leo were very pleased that
their fish fossil was going

to be in the library
so that lots of other
children could see it.

-Everyone's gonna
see our special rock.

-Yeah, we have to
make it all shiny and clean.

-There!

Maybe we can
find another fossil?

-A dinosaur fossil!

-Roaar! Roaar! Roaar!

Ha ha! Now I've
got this all figured out.

Ugh!

-Look at me, Gilbert!

-Oh, I can't right now, Rexy,
I'm going to move this rock

if I have to dig all
the way down to China to do it.

Ugh!

-Oh, wonderful! China!

What's a China?

-Ugh!

Oh, uh, it's a country
on the other side of the world.

It really means I'm going
to dig deep if I have to,

to move this crazy rock.

-Oh. Okay.

What's that?

-Oh,
it's a lever - sort of a machine
to help me push the rock.

-Looks like a stick to me.

-Yes, well, um.

Now, Rexy, think light and
airy thoughts to help me think.

-Thinking of drifting
up, like my balloon.

-Oh, very good.

Here we go.

Ahhhhhgraaaaaah!

Oh.

Oh, well that's
just impurrrrfect!

-Gilbert?

It didn't work.

-Ohhhh.

-Caillou was excited.

He was going to
go to work with his Mommy.

-The
first thing we have to do is
go through the revolving door.

-I can do it, watch me.

-All right, go ahead.

But don't forget to
get out on the other side.

-Ugh!

Mommy?

-Oh, dear. Keep
on pushing Caillou.

-I want to do it again.

there were funny noises around

and lots of people

-Wait, I wanna show you.

Ugh!

-The doors were very heavy, so
Caillou's Daddy decided to help.

-You really have to
be strong to push these doors.

-I know.

-Caillou told his Daddy
all about his day at work.

We're going to discover

how you get milk
from the cow to your glass.

Cows live in Barns.

Those weird things on their
feet keep them from slipping.

The farmer says they're sort
of like brakes on rollerblades.

That's cool!

In the olden days farmers
used to milk cows by hand.

Some still do.

-Wanna give it a try?

-But most farmers use a machine.

The milk pumps through
the machine and along the pipes

into a huge t*nk where
it waits to be picked up.

That cow looks pretty happy
to be sharing her milk with us.

But we're not the
only ones who need her milk.

-She loves this doesn't she?

-Oh man, it's heavy!

-Yeah!

-And we'll get started.

Okay, squeeze
really hard. That's it.

-We use cream from the
cows milk to make ice cream.

All kinds of yummy ingredients
go in to make it delicious!

You have to mix them all up.

-Whipped cream!

-You did a great
job. Look at all of it!

-The ice cream maker
makes it cold while you turn.

Good?

I will not be defeated!
I will move this rock.

brain to work with me on this.

I have to think
like I can do it.

-Oh! You have to think
like you can do it and you can!

-Right. Right.

-Gilbert?

-Yeah.

-It's not moving.

-I know that!

Stupid rock! Move!!!

-Um, uh, Gilbert?

-I just want this
stupid rock to move!

-You need something
else for your lever to work.

Something for
it to work against.

-Huh?

-Oh.

Right.

-I have a good
idea. I'll be right back.

-Oh.

Oh, I hope Teddy has
a really, really good idea

so that I can
finally move this rock!
