perhaps thousands of years ago.

We hope it'll help explain
the Slowking legend.

these drawings were here

until the water level dropped
and exposed them.

The same with the King's Rock,

which no one thought
even existed.

saying?

Have you figured out
their meaning?

I have deciphered
almost all of it.

It tells the story of a time
when the lake's water vanished

and Slowpoke
nearly became extinct.

They were saved
by a special Slowpoke,

who transformed itself
into a Slowking

with the King's Rock.

- Wow.

That's a really cool story.

I always thought Slowpoke

could only evolve into Slowbro.

Almost always when Slowpoke

is bitten on the tail
by Shellder,

it transforms into Slowbro.

But the legend holds
that when a Slowpoke

puts on the King's Rock

and is then bitten
on the head...

- It becomes Slowking.

- Then that means Slowpoke
have a branched evolution.

- The legend talks about
the water leaving

and threatening the Slowpoke
a long time ago,

but it sounds like it's the same
thing that's happening now.

That's what's so exciting.

If the legend's true,
a Slowpoke could emerge

any time now to become Slowking.

But there's still one big piece
of the puzzle that's missing.

I believe symbolizes

and it's also the way

this lake looked
just a few years ago.

But the panel
right before that...

it remains a mystery to me,
and until I understand it,

I cannot understand
the Slowking legend.
