04x29 - UnBEARable

Post by bunniefuu »

male narrator:
As our heroes continue

on their journey to Olivine City

and the next Johto League gym,

they find themselves passing
through a heavily wooded forest.

- Pika.

- This place
is giving me the creeps.

Are you sure it's safe?

- Not perfectly.

- What do you mean by that?

- I read in the guidebook
that some pretty scary Pokémon

like to hang out
in the woods here.

- Do you think there are
any Bug Pokémon around?

- Spinarak!

Spin.

- Eee!

Get away!

- What's the big deal, Misty?

Spinarak aren't scary.

- Maybe to you
they aren't scary,

but to me, they are!

- I wonder
what kind of scary Pokémon

the guidebook was talking about.

Any ideas, Brock?

- Pika pika.

- Maybe a Gengar--

one that's really hungry
and in a really bad mood.

- Or maybe a Snorlax--

one that's cranky 'cause it
didn't have its afternoon nap.

- No way.

I'll bet it's a bunch
of creepy, crawly Ariados.

all:
Hmm.

- Pika.
- [trills]

- Well, standing around here
thinking about it

is not gonna get us anywhere.

We might as well keep going.

- We might as well.

- Yeah?

Well, you go if you want to.

I'm not going one step
further in there.

Huh?
Hey, wait up!

Don't leave me here.

Ash, Brock, wait!

- [singing]
Pokémon, Pokémon, Pokémon

- Let's do it.

I wanna be the very best

Like no one ever was

Ever was, ever was

To catch them is my real test

To train them is my cause

My whole life has led to this

Time to test my skills

I know I just can't miss

Gonna show the world

Born to be a winner

- Johto

- Born to be a champion

Born to be a winner

Born to be the very best

- Pokémon
- Johto

- Born to be a winner

Pokémon

- I'm bushed.

There's got to be an easier way
of making money

than shoveling
rocks and dirt all day.

- I don't like the gravel pit,

but if we save our pay,
we can fund our secret weapons.

- But Jessie, so far
we've barely made enough

to have your pick sharpened.

- Wobbu.

Wobbuffet!

- Jessie, I don't
have the strength

to deal with this today.

- I don't even have the strength
to get angry.

- Wobbuffet.

- Well, James, we've literally
and metaphorically

hit rock bottom.

- We're even lower
than a Bulbasaur's belly button.

- We ought to be soaring
higher than the stars,

but instead, we're down here
scratching around in the dirt.

- We better head back
for the night shift.

- No way!

Not for me!

I wasn't made for labor.

- I wasn't made
for labor either, Jessie,

especially if it's honest.

- I'm with you.

- Huh?

A cornfield.

I have an idea.
- Huh?

- I don't know what it is,
but I bet it's corny.

- Well, we've been walking
all day with no problem.

- Yeah, we've been lucky,
but it's getting dark.

I guess we'd better
start looking

for a place to set up camp
for the night.

- We can't spend
the night here, Ash.

It's way too scary.

- Hey, what's that?

Anybody home?

We need a place to stay.

- Pika pika!

- It doesn't look
like anybody lives here.

- We should stay here, guys.

It's safer than sleeping
out in the woods.

- Good idea.

Let's get out our sleeping bags

and get to bed.

- Pikachu!

[door creaks]

- [growling]

- Night, guys.
Good night, Pikachu.

- Good night.
- Good night.

- Pika, pika!
- [trills]

- Ash, wake up.

- Mm, I was dreaming
about my next badge.

- Did you just
hear a noise, Ash?

- What kind of noise?

- Yes!

Oh, yes, Nurse Joy!

I love you too!

[whimpers]

- Well, that must have been
the noise you heard.

- That's not the noise.

The noise I heard
was coming from outside.

- From outside?

[brush rustling]

[all yelling]

- I was having
a beautiful dream,

and all of a sudden, it turned
into a horrible nightmare.

- Quiet, or I'll turn your life
into a nightmare.

- Okay.

- What if it's one of the scary
Pokémon from the guidebook?

- I don't hear anything.

- Maybe it was just the wind.

- Maybe.

- [yawns]

Back to bed.

- Pika.

- Huh?

[screams]

- What is it now?

- Something's crawling around
under my blanket.

- Under--

- [snoring]

- You see?
- Teddiursa?

- Teddiursa,
the little bear Pokémon.

This cute, cuddly Pokémon
is easily frightened

and frequently
licks its palms,

which are usually covered
with sweet honey.

- What a cutie!

I have got to capture it now!

- [whimpers]

Ursa!

- Don't cry.

I won't catch you
if you don't want me to.

- Ur.

- It's okay--
the bad Pokéball's gone.

[laughs]

Let's just be friends.

- Teddiursa.

- Boy, that Teddiursa really
knows how to turn on the charm.

- Funny--I didn't know
a Charm Attack

would work on humans.

- Teddiursa.

- [laughs]

- [growls]

- Hey!

- What's the matter this time?

- [grumbles]

- Psyduck let itself out again

and ate both of the apples
I had in my backpack.

- Psyduck.

- Yeah?
So what?

It was just two apples.

- Misty, maybe that'll keep
the doctor away for two days.

- [sighs]

Back you go, Psyduck.

- Psy!

- Teddiursa.

- Hello!

How's my little
Teddi-weddi today?

- Teddiursa!

Ursa!

[growls]

- Hey!

Get your hot corn!

- Step right up here
if you want a hot ear!

- Hot corn fresh from the husk.

Hurry up, folks.
We're only here till dusk.

Enjoy every kernel.

- Wow, we're doing great,
Jessie.

- With my charm and good looks,

I could sell butter
to a Butterfree.

- Well, here comes
the new crop, kiddies.

- Looks like
quite a hefty harvest.

- Just think--Mother Nature
does all the planting,

and we reap all the benefits.

- We can build great weapons
with the money we make.

- You said it.

- Hey, what smells so good?

- They're selling fresh-roasted
corn up there.

- It's those twerpy twerps.

- Quick--
we can't let them recognize us.

- [squeaks]

Teddiursa!

- Are you hungry?

do you want some
roasted corn too, honey?

- Ur?

- Cutie!

How could I resist
an adorable face like that?

- You want some corn too, Brock?

- Count me in.

- Pika!

- I'll take five of your biggest
ears of roasted corn, please.

- Sure, here you go.

Huh?

A Teddiursa!

- [squeaks]

- You are a cutie!

Here, have an ear on the house.

- Thanks, ma'am.

- Hey, I had to haul that corn
here all by myself.

Don't be giving it away.

- [screams]

I'll do exactly what I want to.

- Those things
must be rare and valuable.

- They are,
and once we earn enough,

we'll build a new secret weapon
and steal Pikachu

and that little Teddiursa too.

both:
Let's get back to work.

- Fresh hot corn on a stick!

- The corn's great, and
the schtick's not bad either.

- Step right up.
- Corn here!

- Get your corn!
- Hot corn!

- Step right up.
- Red-hot yellow corn!

- Don't be shy.
- Buy, buy, buy!

- Hey,
this is a really nice spot.

- It looks perfect.

Why don't we have
our lunch here?

- Okay.

Come on out, guys.

- Chiko!

- Cyndaquil.

- Bulbasaur!

- Totodile.

To!

[warbles]

- Bulba!
Bulbasaur!

- Chiko, chiko, chiko.

- Cyndaquil.

- Too bad there isn't anything
good for lunch today.

- What do we have?

- Only a big hunk of ham
and a loaf of bread.

- Sounds great.

- Pikachu.
- [trills]

- Ur.

- [chirps]

- Hey, Brock, could you help me
carry some of this firewood?

- Sure thing.

- Totodile!

Toto?

- Ur.

- Toto totodile.

Dile.

[grunts]

- Toto.

- I'm starving.

Let's make those sandwiches now.

- Ursa!

- Toto.

- Huh?

Okay, Totodile,

what did you do
to poor Teddiursa?

- Dile!

- Ursa!

- Are you okay, Teddi?

Did Totodile scare you?

- Hey, what's all the fuss
about here?

- Look what your Totodile's got.

It's the wrapper from our ham.

- Totodile.

- Oh, no!

Now we don't have anything
to make our sandwiches with.

- Teddiursa must have come along
when Totodile was eating it

and then got all upset.

Is that right?

- Teddiursa.

- Is that what happened,
Totodile?

- Toto, toto.

Toto.
Toto toto toto.

Totodile.

- Ur.

- Totodile, you've caused
enough trouble already.

We know you're the one
who ate all the ham.

Now don't try to act
like it was Teddiursa.

- Just hold
your Horsea a second.

What makes you think Totodile's
lying and Teddiursa's not?

- Just look at the evidence!

The ham's gone and Totodile's
got the wrapper in its hand.

Now how much more proof
do you need?

- Well, Totodile,
this does look suspicious.

- To!
Toto!

Totodile.

[grumbles]

- I don't get it.

- Pika.

- Who's that Pokémon?

It's Abra!

- It smells good, huh, Pikachu?

- Pika, pika!

- Teddiursa!

- [chirps]

- Where'd those bananas go?

[both grunting]

- Teddi, did you see a bunch
of bananas on the table?

- [mumbling]

- Hmm, maybe Ash took them.

He probably couldn't
wait for lunchtime.

- [gulps]

Teddi.

- [chirps]
- Ur.

- Hey, Ash, how's that soup
coming along?

- Teddiursa.

Ur.

- Chiko.

Chiko!
- Ursa!

- Chiko.

- You sure you left them
on the table?

- Yeah, I'm positive.

- Don't worry, Misty.

I can run back
to the Poké Mart and get some.

Hey, what happened
to my sausages?

- [chirps]

all:
Huh?

- [chirps]

- Chiko, chiko.

- Ur.

- Hey, I think
we're in luck, guys.

The food thief's
at the end of these sausages.

- Ur.
- Let's go.

- Ursa.

Ur.

Sa, ur.

- What's going on here?

- This is hard to believe.

- Chikorita stole them.

- Chiko, chiko.

- Ursa!

- Oh, and you were
trying to stop it again,

weren't you, Teddi honey?

- Ursa.

- Chiko.

- Is that what happened,
Chikorita?

- Chiko, chiko.

- I want to believe you,
but you got to admit

this looks suspicious.

- Chiko chiko.

Chiko!

- Hey, wait!

- Wha?
Ash, wait for us!

- Ur.

- [crying]

Chikorita!

Chikorita,
if you say you didn't do it,

I believe you, okay?

It's all a mistake.

- Chiko.

- I know you wouldn't
steal or lie

about anything, Chikorita.

[both chuckle]

- Totodile.

- Hey, what's the matter,
Totodile?

- Bulba!
- Hmm?

- Bulbasaur!

- Teddiursa?

- I wonder what it's looking for
in my backpack.

- Ursa!

[all gasp]

- Ur sa!
- Bulba.

- [cries]

- I see.

Teddiursa's the one who was
stealing our food all along.

- Totodile.

- Chiko, chiko.

- We should've known Teddiursa
wasn't protecting our food.

It was the one
who was stealing our food.

- No way.

My little Teddiursa would never
do anything like that.

Teddi, please tell me
you aren't the one

who's been stealing food.

- [whimpers]

- Cutie.

How could I doubt
a sweet face like that?

- Misty, stop kidding yourself.

Teddiursa's been lying
to all of us.

- But now we're on
to your fake cutesie-poo act.

- Teddiur!

Sa!

- Hey, that's mine!

- Come back!

- Teddiursa.

- This way!

- Teddiursa!

- [laughs]

We made a bundle today.

- We sold of ton of hot corn,

and we still got three ears
left for us to chow down on.

- We've got it made.

- Teddiursa.

Ur.

- Say, I think
this is the same Teddiursa

we saw with the twerps.

- I wonder what it's doing here.

- Ursa ur!

- That makes sense.

It says it couldn't stand being

with them lame-o losers no more.

- Teddiursa!
Teddiur!

- But it says it was too
lonesome being all by itself,

so it wants to be your Pokémon.

- Ursa.

- Cutie!

Adorable!

- Teddiursa.

- Our little friend's
got a big secret.

- Teddiursa.

- There's a forest nearby that's
got a zillion apple trees in it.

- Ahh.

- We'll get into
the apple business.

- Apples should sell
like hotcakes.

- Meowth, where's
that Teddiursa?

- It was standing right here.

- Teddiursa!

Ursa.

both:
Ahh!

- That scuzzy little fuzzy
wuzzy's stealing our lunch.

- [growls]
Ursa!

- I know,
but it's so cute I don't care.

- Open up your eyes, Jessie.

- That thing's crookeder
than we are.

- There you are!
- Huh?

- You're the dirty varmints

what stole all the corn
off'n my farm!

[all scream]

all:
Let's get out of here!

- [grumbles]

- That Teddiursa could be miles
away from here by now.

- Yeah.

If it was just the food,
I wouldn't care so much,

but I had the guidebook
and other important stuff

in that backpack.

- We better keep looking then.

- Hey, look.

There's a Pokémon Center
over there.

- Maybe Nurse Joy
knows something

that can help us find
that Teddiursa.

- Come on, let's go and see.

- Oh, no.

That's the third report
of a backpack theft

we've had this week.

- Nurse Joy, perhaps you and I

can search for this thief

and, in the process,
discover true love.

- Knock it off or you're
gonna discover true pain.

- [chirps]

- Did anybody else who got their
backpacks stolen

mention a Teddiursa?

- Yes.

Was the Teddiursa you met

extra cute, extra cuddly,
and sweet as could be?

- That's my Teddiursa.

- And that's how it fools
everybody, I'm afraid.

- Guess I got fooled too.

- Totodile!

- Chiko, chiko!

- Totodile, Chikorita,
I apologize.

- I never guessed
the scary Pokémon

I read about in the guidebook
was Teddiursa.

- Something has to be done
to stop Teddiursa.

I think it would be best
if we all look for it together.

- Teddiursa, teddiursa,

teddiursa, teddiursa.

Ur!

- Prepare for trouble,
Teddiursa.

- Make it double.
Things are gonna get worser.

- To protect the world
from devastation.

- To unite all peoples
within our nation.

- To denounce the evils
of truth and love.

- To extend our reach
to the stars above.

- Jessie.
- James.

- Team Rocket, blast off
at the speed of light.

- Surrender now or prepare
to fight, fight, fight.

- Wobbuffet.

- Ha, that's right!

- Well now, think you can lie
to us and get away with it?

Guess again.

- Ur!
Ur, ursa!

- We'll have to do this
the hard way then.

Arbok, go!

- [blathers]

- Victreebel,
get ready to attack!

- [screeches]

- Wait!
Not a snack attack!

- Hurry, Arbok.

Use your Poison Sting.

- [yells]

- Ursa!

Teddiursa!
Teddiursa!

Ursa!

- [screams]

[all screaming]

- Victreebel,
use your Razor Leaf Attack.

- [screehces]

- Teddiursa!
Teddiur!

Sa!

- [screeches]

[both scream]

- It looks like toy,
but it ain't playing around.

- Wobbuffet.

- Ur!

pop!

- Team Rocket's
blasting off again!

- Other trainers have told me
that they've spotted Teddiursa

right around here someplace.

[Team Rocket screaming]

- Was that Team Rocket?

- It sure sounded
like Team Rocket.

- Isn't that Teddiursa
sitting right there?

- Yeah, and there's
Brock's backpack too.

- Totodile!

- Chiko!

- You caused a lot of trouble!
- Yeah!

What do you have to say
for yourself now?

- Ur.

- Cutie!

I mean--bad Teddiursa.

- Give back Brock's backpack,
you thief.

- Pika!

- Ur!

Ur.
Ur.

- That stinks.

- It isn't even ashamed
that it's a liar.

- Toto.

- Chiko!

- All right,
go get it, Chikorita.

Use your Tackle attack.

- Chiko!

- Ur!
- Chiko!

- Ursa!

- Chiko chiko!

- [gasps]

- Teddiursa's
using its Swift Attack!

- Hang in there, Chikorita!

- Ursa!

- [screams]

- You can beat it, Chikorita!

Try your Vine Whip!

- Chiko!

both:
Ursa!

- Ursa!

- Now Teddiursa's
using its Double Team.

all:
Teddiursa!

- [screams]

- Easy, Chikorita.

I know a way we can find
the real Teddiursa.

Send a whole wave of Razor Leaf!

- Chiko, chiko, chiko!

- You found the real one.

Now Tackle it, Chikorita!

- Chiko, chiko,
chiko, chiko!

- Ur!

Teddiursa!

- Chiko.

- Great job, Chikorita.

- Teddi's down and out.

- Chikorita!

[laughter]

- I knew I could count on you,
Chikorita.

- Chiko!

- I believe this is mine.

Whoa.

- Look, something's happening.

- Teddiursa evolved.

- It's an Ursaring!

- [growls]

[all screaming]

- Uh?

- I guess it's a good thing

that Teddiursa evolved
into Ursaring, Nurse Joy.

- Yes, maybe now
it'll be able to find food

instead of stealing it.

- I think it's gonna
have to, Nurse Joy.

- It won't be able
to charm anybody.

- And nobody's gonna cuddle
an Ursaring.

- Pikachu.

- Well, good luck, kids,
and take care of yourselves.

- Thanks.
You too, Nurse Joy.

- See you!

narrator: With the case of the
troublemaking Teddiursa solved,

our heroes return to the road,

headed for the next stop
on their Johto journey.

[popcorn rattles]

- It's too bad
that farmer caught up with us.

- And made us give him
all of the money we made.

- Now all we got left is a pot
of popcorn without any butter.

[bushes rustle]

- [growls]

[all scream]

all:
An Ursaring!

- [grumbles]

- Hey, maybe this Ursaring's
just lonesome,

and it wants to be our Pokémon.

- [growls]

- I guess we could
work something out.

- Would you like to try
some nice fresh popcorn?

- [growls]

- It's nice to find
a Pokémon you can trust.

all chanting:
We got a new friend Ursaring.

We got a new friend Ursaring.

We got a new friend Ursaring.
We got a new friend Ursaring.

- [growling]

- Let's do it.

[singing]
