She grew up in a household with animals.
They used to call us "The Zoo."

She would come home from school,
she'd do dogs' hair.

[Rahanna] I was a groomer at PetSmart
for seven years.

On my off days, I would, like,
groom out of my house.

I started to get a lot more clients,
and that's when I knew.

I was like, "Okay, Rahanna, 
you always wanted to be a mobile groomer.

It's time to spread your wings and fly."

She was like, 
"Mom, do you think I should do it?"

I said, "Yes, I do."

Don't be scared to chase your dream.

[Rahanna] It really was a leap of faith.
When I first started out,

I would have my equipment, my table,
and I would groom out of clients' homes.

I was starting to grow my business.

[Jill]
During that time, she needed an assistant,

'cause she was getting so much business.

"She now works out of a 23-year-old RV."

After a couple of months of having it,

it broke down, and then things
just started, like, piling up after that.

Tires went--

-Then the brakes.

[Rahanna] The electricity would go.

How much was the muffler to put back on?

Like, 300.

Those were rough. Yeah.

Then somebody stole her generator.

She does bounce back.
Things happen, and...

I still have some loyal clients,
but I've lost a lot from not being mobile.

For two years now, my RV has been parked
in front of my parents' house.

It's just been sitting.

All I want to do is 
be a great business owner,

[voice breaks] and I just always 
feel like,

it's always something in the way of that.

[Jill] She's gotten a little bit depressed
around the ups and downs because--

Life is holding her back.

know her worth.

that she's trying to run,
and she's an entrepreneur.

This week, Rahanna needs a plan
for her business and her life.

a really big, hairy dog,

and I just got my hair done,
I'm trying to save it a little bit.

how successful was the business?

I was booked out for weeks in advance.
It was going really well.

Perhaps over two years,

I felt like giving up,

so I felt like the business kind of
just went along with it.

So, basically, the only thing that's 
really thrown a wrench in your success

This RV clearly helped Rahanna 
in many ways.

It helped her get her
mobile grooming business off the ground,

but sometimes in business,
you've got to realize,

it's time to move on 
and try something new.

I'm a small business owner.
I made decisions

that I thought were the best
at the moment,

and then ended up costing me more money.

The only drive I'm seeing a lack of

You're using your parents' electricity?

She has been at this grooming thing
for seven years,

but when she does get it off the ground,
it seems like things start just happening.

What have you been able to accomplish
in the past three and a half years

-that you're really proud of?
-I pretty much just do what I can.

I'm grateful for the fact that
I still can work in it.

I still have some clients who are loyal,
who come--

-Three and a half years.

That's nothing. The first five years

But the fact that you're still in it,
that's amazing.

[Tan] When I was a business owner,

I was struggling through 
my first few years of business.

You get to the point where
you can't see the wood for the trees,

you don't know how to get out.

I'm seeing what needs to change,
we get that.

So, I guess I want to understand,
what was the dream? What is[/i] the dream?

I definitely want to have a fleet 
of mobile grooming trucks, eventually.

-I do want to have a stationary RV.

I do eventually want to have dog clothes.

-I wanna have dog treats, dog food,

and I definitely,
definitely want to do a dog show.

It's been one of my passions, too.

Have you seen her change
and the business change?

She's always been that go-getter type
of woman.

However, because of the business
not going the way she wanted it to go

and because of me hurting her,
it just seemed like

it was just a big hole that
she couldn't really get out of.

-I betrayed her, with her trust.

I'm very surprised by Josh.

I wasn't expecting any of this.

How has that affected your relationship?

A lot.

Like, she felt like there was no hope,

like everything was coming down on her.

You know, I finally decided, like,
this is not the person that I want to be.

We're doing a lot more,
trying to keep ourselves active.

Hanging out with friends, but you know,
I know that she's hurting still from it.

And then, on top of that,
you're moving into a place together,

so you're not fully healed from that,
but you've decided to take the next step.

I just want to show her
and show others in her corner

that she didn't make a bad decision
on the man that she chose.

because it brings in new customers,

and we're gonna have a big old runway,

where all the dogs in the neighborhood

but for me, it's more important
that you start to pivot your business.

Those first few years

I've hit really, really hard times

three years into my business.

You just have to find another way
to pivot.

Think, "Okay, that didn't work.
What else have I got in my arsenal?"

I never thought I would end up
making women's wear.

I started out with menswear.
It didn't matter. I had a dream

and it was way bigger
than the one thing I was doing.

You want to be grooming. Wonderful.

there's only one way to do it.

Think differently, think smarter.

gelatinous consistency,

so it acts as a binder
to keep the pretzel together.

We've gotta work on
our dog's teeth as well.

A lot of the best bones work
on their teeth.

-This stuff is extremely high in fiber.

We want them to be regular.

-Poopies are very important for dogs.

Water is gonna help.

[Rahanna] This smells so good.

So, the only way to do this,

you're gonna have to go in 
with your hands.

-We want to start by making a little ball.

And then,
you're just gonna gently roll it out.

You kind of do it like a heart shape,

It's all healthy, fresh, human food.

If you can't eat it yourself,

of every single one of those.

So, what are some other ways
that you wanna see your business grow?

I eventually want to do,
like, dog clothing.

I've always had the same vision,
but I do add to it every now and then.

Whether it's work or personal matters,
as we get older,

-our needs change, you know?

Do you feel like your needs 
in the relationship have shifted

from when you were 17
to where you're 27 now?

Definitely grew together, and I do still
feel like there's room for growth.

We've been through a whole lot
in the past, but I think he's trying.

I think it's like constantly having
that conversation

and being able to be like,
"Hey, let's check in."

-Sometimes it can be awkward as hell,

but you never know
until you have that talk.

shut down and feel like

My friends, they're super petite,
