asking the question,
- How can Tula stop herself
being afraid of thunder?

We thought that it must
be the big, loud noise
that was frightening Tula, so
I did some really loud banging
to see if Tula could get
used to a big, loud noise.
- But Groove's big, loud
noise didn't scare me
because I knew it
was him banging.
- [Groove] Then we thought,
if Tula could shout
louder than the thunder,
then that might stop
her being frightened.
- But that was such
a horrible noise.
- [Tula] So I went to
see the Tiddlypeeps,
and that gave me an idea.
But having my hands over my ears
meant that I couldn't
help with the picture.
- [Groove] So then Roma
told us about hooby-groovy
ear protectors that
shut out loud noises.
- [Tula] Groove lent me
his hooby-headphones.
They shut out the
noise of thunder,
but I couldn't hear
anything else, either.
- [Iver] Then Hubba
Hubba sent us a story
about Marlon the
spider, who imagined
that a scary noise
was something else.
And that stopped
him feeling scared.
- [Groove] So, Tula tried
to imagine the thunder
was the hooby-sandwich-hammer.
- [Tula] But I couldn't
pretend it was anything
but loud, scary thunder.
But then the Tiddlypeeps told me
that thunder is the
noise of lightning,
and it can be very loud,
but it won't hurt you.
And I discovered that I
wasn't frightened anymore.
- [Hoobs] One hooba-booba,
two hooba-boobas,
three hooba-boobas,
four hooba-boobas,
five hooba-boobas.
(thunder clapping)
- See, I am not scared.
And the storm is
getting further away.
