Oh! Hi, there!

It's so good to see
you! Come on in!

Big doing's at the
house today. It's... hm?

[sniffs]

Wait a second.
What's that smell?

[sniffs]

Hmm?

[sniffs]

Ha! It's you!

Oooh! Tell me,
did you just pick some flowers

because you smell
all fresh and flowery!

[sniffs]

Maybe you just smell
this good all the time.

TUTTER: Bear! Bear!

Hey, that's Tutter. Come on!

Big doings today
here at the house.

We're planning a party for
Grandma Flutter's birthday.

Not just any birthday, Bear.

My grandma Flutter is turning

[all gasps]

A hundred years old! Wow.

So, Bear, when Grandma Flutter
was Baby Blotter's age...

Were there still dinosaurs
walking the earth?

[roaring]

[laughs]

Well... No, guys,
that was millions of years ago!

But, cars were fairly new,
[horn honking]

[car engine revving]

and so were telephones.

-[phone ringing]
-[laughs]

Oh! And airplanes
were just invented.

[hovering]

-Woo!
-Wow!

Yep, Grandma Flutter
has seen a lot in her life.

Wow, that's cool!

Yeah! Hey, Bear,

how's the whole "getting
old thing" work, exactly?

Well, as you get older,
you "age."

Yeah, age.

And you age year
after year after year.

Of course being 100
years old is pretty rare.

Bear,
what happens when you go through

all those years, exactly?

Well,
let me put it to you this way...

you've got some
wonderful days ahead!

♪ When you are born first you
don't know why you're here ♪

♪ Each day seems
to last a year ♪

♪ Because nothing came
before but as you grow ♪

♪ You come to see
each day is new ♪

♪ You figure out

See, you have quite
a life ahead of you.

Ah!

Wow, Bear, Grandma's 100th
birthday really is special! Huh?

It sure is!

Oh, hey you guys,
why don't we make sure

we have everything
ready for the party!

-Very good, Ojo.
-That is a very grown up idea!

[gasps]

Ojo's aging?

-That's great guys!
-Come on, let's go.

♪ Party, party, party ♪

TUTTER: Hmm...

Umm...

Tutter... aren't you
going to help the others?

Oh. I'd like to, Bear.

But I'm already involved
in a very important job

for Grandma's
birthday! Very important.

Well, what is it?

I have to make sure I have
the right gift for her, Bear.

She's a hundred, it has
to be right, Bear, just right!

Well, I'm sure whatever you give
her, I'm sure she'll like it.

Well, I hope so Bear.

I was thinking maybe a doily

or something old fashioned,
like, that,

like an antique.

I figured grandma
would like that since

she's well... old, Bear! Old!

Well Tutter,
just because somebody is old,

doesn't mean they
just like old things...

But she's just my
little old grandma,

Bear, just a little old mouse.

Well Tutter, she still...

But the thing is,
Bear what do I get her?

The party is tonight

and I don't have anything yet.

I've got nothing! Nothing.

What do I do? What do I do?

Tutter, Tutter,
Tutter, breathe in.

[inhales]

Breathe out. [exhales]

Now, I have an idea.

Why don't we go down
to the General Store?

Maybe you'll see
something there she likes.

Good idea, Bear.

I've gotta find the right thing.

I just gotta get the
right thing Bear. Let's go!

Okay, you come too!

Ooh!

No... no... no...

-Well hello, Bear.
-Hello, Jeremiah.

-Oh, and, hello to you Tutter.
-Yeah, good to see you Jeremiah!

Looks like you're
in a bit of a hurry.

What can I do for you Tutter?

Oooh!

Grandma Flutter's
turning 100 today

and I don't even
have a gift for her yet.

Well, I have many wonderful
gifts here. Let me show you...

That's okay, Jeremiah. Just
point me in the right direction.

You see,
I want to do this myself,

after all, she is my grandma.

Of course, then look over...

DOC HOGG:
Hey Bear. Jeremiah. Tutter!

Hey, Doc.

Ooh!

What's the long face for Tutter?

Looks like someone took
your last piece of cheese.

[laughs] [gasps]

They didn't did they?

No, see, I want to buy a
present for my Grandma...

Flutter,
of course. It's her birthday,

and what a grand
old mouse she is...

Yeah, Doc,
anyway I'm looking for...

And a wonderful dancer,
too. A professional in fact!

A professional dancer?

Oh, yes, and I was there to see

your Grandma start
her dancing career.

I remember it like
it was yesterday...

[thinking]

I went over to the Grand
of Theater in Sequoia City

to see the great musical
"Ain't Mouse Behavin'!

[applause]

The show's star was a
wonderful dancer by the name of

Bibi Squeaksworth. Well, in
the first act, Bibi tripped...

And fell into the orchestra pit!

[instrument clanking]

She was fine,
just a twisted ankle, but

she had to leave the show. Well,

a young dancer was
asked to dance Bibi's part

and guess who that was, Tutter?

Flutter... You betcha.

Your Grandma
tapped her heart out!

She brought down the house!

[applause]

Wow, who would of thought. My
grandma -a professional dancer.

Oh yeah! Why
I've still got all the

newspaper clippings
about it at home.

"The Mouse with the Moves,"
they called her, yes indeedy.

Mouse with the moves, huh?

Hey, that gives me
an idea for a present!

[laughs] Thank you, Doctor Hogg!

[cheering]

Don't know what I did
but... you're welcome!

[laughs] Bear!

-Hey Doc.
-How about a game of chess?

Oh sure, but I'm not very good.

Well,
all the better... I mean...

It Doesn't matter who wins,
Bear...

Well okay, but what if
Tutter needs some help?

He'll be fine Bear. Come
on out to the porch, Bear.

-I think he'll be just fine.
-Well, okay.

Jeremiah! Jeremiah!
I got something!

[struggles]

[puffing]

Oh, hey Tutter.

Hey, Etta, hey, Otto!

Ooo, tap dancing shoes!

My grandma was a
professional dancer!

The Mouse with the Moves!

So I'm going to get her tap
dancing shoes for her birthday!

Would you like
this gift wrapped?

[proud] Yes, please.

So, your Grandma is

-Yes Otto.
-She doesn't look a day over 90!

[laughs]

Well, it just goes to show
you how playing baseball

can keep you looking young!

Yeah, that's true... baseball?

My grandma played baseball?

You didn't know she was a
big league baseball player?

No, I didn't.

Ooh, ooh! Tell me about it!
Tell me!

Grandma Flutter was an all-star

outfielder for the
River City Rodents.

[thinking]

The Rodents were a man's
team weren't they Etta?

Yes they were, Otto. So, Grandma
disguised herself with a beard.

She was quite the outfielder.

But, she didn't stay with
the River City Rodents long.

TUTTER: What happened?

Your grandma had an idea

to start an all-women
baseball league.

She did that?

She sure did Tutter.
And I was on her team.

She was my coach!
I've still got all

the clippings from those days...

Everyone!

-What a time it was...
-No!

Yes, you know,
your Grandma was very proud of

her coaching days. Very proud.

Wow, a coach huh?

Forget the tap dancing shoes!

I've got an even better
idea for a present!

Thanks, Otto, oh, boy, oh, boy.

Oh that mouse is so thoughtful
to be shopping for his Grandma.

You ah... it's your move Bear.

Oh, yes, yes.

Ah ha!

Ooh, Bear.

Nice move Bear. You're really
getting the hang of this.

-Yes, I am getting good.
-See?

And I believe that is
check mate young man.

Aw, I really thought
I had you that time.

Don't worry about it Bear.

You just said you
weren't any good!

And I've been playing for years.

[shadow laughs]

-Did you hear that?
-Doc it's okay, it's just...

-Shadow.
-That's Shadow, Bear!

I think it's coming
from that other window.

Hmm...

I think you're right. You know,

If we look real hard
and sing our song,

-she might appear. Ready?
-Song?

is Shadow? ♪

That's right Doc.

is Shadow? ♪

Yes, very good.

is Shadow? ♪

Yes indeed.

♪ Where can Shadow be? ♪

Ha, ha! Just love that song.

[shadow laughs]

-Hey there Shadow!
-Hello Doc! Hi Bear!

So Shadow girl,
what have you been doin' today?

Oh, I was just playing
near a fallen tree

and counting the rings
to see how old it was!

You know, every ring in a tree's
trunk is a year it's been alive!

I did not know that!

Well Shadow... do You happen
to have a story for us today?

It just so happens I do,
Bear. Watch.

♪ The little baby hammer
could barely life his head ♪

That's a boy son.

♪ Try as he might, he missed the
nail and fell down instead ♪

Aw, almost nailed it son!

♪ As he grew older,
he became much bolder, ♪

♪ His aim had improved... ♪

Ah, that's it son.
Right on the head.

♪ He soon found out,
he needed more umph, ♪

♪ To get that nail to move... ♪

Don't worry son,
just keep tryin'.

[tapping]

♪ Said the young Hammer,
to be a good slammer ♪

♪ drilled and
drilled and drilled ♪

See the nail,
be the nail... hit the nail.

♪ Soon he gained enough weight ♪

♪ to drive the nail straight
and he was really thrilled ♪

Yo, I did it, I did it!

Son, I'm so proud of you...
awwww!

♪ So now he's a father
with children of his own ♪

♪ It gives him great joy
a girl and a boy ♪

♪ That they will be good hammers
when they've grown ♪

Yo that's it, that's it! That's
using your heads kids.

Yeah, yeah,
hit it on the head. Yeah!

Wow!

That was a very
interesting story, Shadow!

Why, thank you Doc,
if you need another story

just catch me!

[laughs]

You know, Bear,
I think you could learn a little

something from Shadow's story.

I don't know if I'll be as good
a chess player as you, Doc.

Oh, it's kind of early
to say that Bear.

Give yourself some time.

You've got your whole
life and the great thing is

that there're new
experiences every day!

-Hey, that's a good point.
-TUTTER: Bear!

Hmm?

Hey! That sounds like Tutter.

I wonder if he got a gift for
grandma Flutter yet? Come on!

Bear, Bear, I got it! I got it!
What, Tutter?

A great gift for a
grandma! You know,

Grandma is a great
baseball coach, Bear!

I do remember
something about that!

Well, I got her... a whistle...

I got it. I really got it!

That's right,
it's your grandmother's

birthday today isn't it?

Yes Lois...

Did I ever tell you about
the trip she took me

on to Tibet to meet
the Dali Llama?

-What?
-Spit when he talked,

but what he said... Oh,
the pictures I took...

-She traveled?
-Yes! Oui!

And wasn't she a
steamboat captain for a while?

-I believe she was...
-Huh?

[crosh talk]

Yes, and didn't she own her
own cheese factory for a while?

I know she was a member
of mouse congress...

She had a play on Broadway,
didn't she?

High Jumper in the
'36 Olympics...

Wait a minute! Whoa-ho! Whoa!

Hmm! What is it, Tutter?

Now I'm more confused
than ever! I mean

Grandma's had such a great life.

Getting her a whistle
doesn't seem big enough!

And, I can't buy her everything.

Oh,
she wouldn't want you to have

to buy all that stuff anyway!

Aw, if I were her,

I'd want to remember all
the great things I had done!

Tutter,
I think you're on to something.

-I am?
-Yeah.

Maybe you could think of a way,
to give grandma

a way of remembering
what she's done. You know,

maybe a picture
of her whole life.

Pictures! Hey that
gives me an idea!

That's it! But,
I'm gonna need all your help.

Come on everybody! Come on!

[crosh talk]

Here ya go Tutter. Got
those shoes all wrapped up

[all cheering]

Aw, that's just lovely,

cake. Light and fluffy!

-Yes, Tutter?

Oh, my goodness a book!

It's a scrapbook, Grandma! See?

Ah!

These are pictures of... me,

dancing... travelling...

Where did you get
these pictures, Tutter?

From your friends. [laughs]

They all had old
pictures of you Grandma.

And I put them in the scrapbooks
with the help of my friends!

Oh, my Goodness. This
is wonderful, Tutter...

You know, that there's moments
in here I've long forgotten.

And look, turn the page.

Hence, I'll do it for you.

Oh look! There's
lots of blank pages!

I'm glad you left some space
for new pictures, Tutter. Hey,

I'm a yungin' yet,

at least that's what Jeremiah
says. He's 132 years!

[laughs]

And, Tutter, you'll be there
to live it with me, won't you!

I sure will, Grandma.

Hey, can we go to the
Cheese Museum again?

We can get some great pictures
there. For sure. For sure!

I'm looking forward
to it grandson.

Yaaaaaaay!

Now, Grandma Flutter,
I have a question...

Yes?

Who's the baseball
player with the beard?

Well, hmmm,
funny you should ask...

[crickets chirping]

Ah,
what a wonderful day we've had.

I bet Luna would
want to hear all about it.

Let's go up and
tell her. Come on!

[music plays]

Hmm.

Ah. There's Luna now!

Hello, Bear. How is everything
in the Big Blue House?

Well, Luna,
Grandma Flutter turned...


That's right!
How did you know Luna?

Oh, I was shining down
on Woodland Valley

the day she was born.
What did you all do for her?

Well, Tutter got her a scrapbook

to collect pictures from
all the times in her life!

And what a life she's had.

Umm.

It just goes to show,
the older you get,

the more experiences you have,

and the more experiences, the
more wisdom you have to offer.

I should know,
after all, I'm the moon.

Wow, that's true. I've
never thought about that.

-Um, Luna?
-Hmm?

How old are you? I mean.

Are you as old as the dinosaurs?

[chuckle] Bear,

I was around
before the dinosaurs.

-Huh? Before?!
-Umhmm,

I'm almost 4 billion years old.

Wow!

Well, Luna, I guess it
would take a while for you

to blow up all the candles
on your birthday cake.

Indeed it would!

[chuckles]

Well Luna, would you sing
the goodbye song with me.
