a bat is an animal with wings.

bats do to sleep.

want to do that?

in the middle of the day, Bear?

else that bats do too.

They sleep all day and then
wake up and go out at night.

Boy yeah! He's got a good
grip on that branch alright.

Gee, I guess we frightened him.

hard my fur is vibrating!

to be afraid of.

have never seen a bat before...

Bats are different
from bears and otters.

But then-bears and otters are
different from other animals.

The world is full of things
and people

Which is a good thing, because
if things weren't different,

they'd be the same!

And life wouldn't be
nearly as much fun!

then I couldn't make
my famous triple berry pie!

And this big old monster

with wings came flying
right in the window, Bear!

It was awful!

on a picture book in here.

but Tutter, I saw a monster!

He had these big brown wings,

[chuckling] Well, any mouse

such thing as monsters!

In fact, Ojo, I think what
you saw was a little bat

that flew in from the pond.
