Anyway, as I was saying,

I'm just straightening up
around the house

and having
a nice, calm, quiet...

[screaming] Yeowwwww!

Bear! Come quick!

We better go see
what's going on.

-Come on.
-Ooo, ooo. Bear, Bear,

-quick, quick.
-Ouch, oh. Ouch!

-Over here, Bear.
-Oh my...

-Over here.
-Ouch, ouch.

-What happened?
-Oh! I think that Tutter

hurt his tail.

Yeowwww! Oh!

We playing hide and seek, Bear.

Yeah. We were playing hide
and seek,

and then Tutter and I,
we hid behind the table

and then the book, it...

-The Book, the book, the book!
-The book. This one?

The book fall down on
Tutter's tail, Bear.

Let me move it.

Look at it, Bear!
Would you look at it?

I can't look. Would you-

-[gasps]
-Tutter!

-It's bent!
-I know it's bent, Treelo!

I know it's bent. Ouch!

Oh, woe is me.

A-A mouse with a bent tail!

What could be worse, I ask you?

What could be worse!

-Ouch, oh.
-Tutter, that must hurt.

-Oh! Yeah, well yeah.
-But you're gonna be alright.

Everything's gonna to be okay.

-Ouch.
-Yeah.

-Treelo?
-Huh?

Can you hand me
that little pillow?

-Ouch.
-Oh, yes, Bear.

-Oh, oh, uh, uh.
-Here, Tutter.

-There.
-Okay, okay.

-Is that better?
-[sighs]

A-a-a little, Bear, a-a little.

Oh, my poor whippy little tail!

What'll I do?

What'll I do, Bear?

O-oh! It even hurts to wag!

-Tutter, easy, easy, easy.
-I can't wag the tail, Bear!

-Relax. Relax.
-Okay. Alright.

-I don't think it's that bad.
-Okay.

But I'm gonna call Doc Hogg...

-He'll know what to do.
-Yeah.

-Yeah?
-You relax.

Okay, Bear. Okay, but hurry.

-Yeah, hurry, Bear.

-Ouch.

I'll just call Lois,

our Woodland Valley
Telephone Operator

and she will
connect me to Doc Hogg.

[tapping]

[ringing]

Hi, Lois! It's Bear.

Um, Lois?

Do you have a sore throat?

Oh, lovely coat.

Yes I love my coat, Bear.

Huh?

Ulr-well, well, Lois you see
I'm calling

because I need
to speak to old Doc Hogg...

Big Old Bullfrog, you say?

No. No, Lois, listen.
Tutter hurt his tail...

-[gasp] Hurt his tail?
-Mm-hmm.

Oh my.

You'll be needing Doc Hogg then,
Bear.

Lois, that's what I was just...

you're right, Lois. Thank you.

Okay,
I'll try to get him for you.

And um, tell Tutter I hope
his tail feels better.

-I will, Lois.
-I'll get him.

Lois will call Doc Hogg,
who'll call me back.

I'll bet you have a doctor too,
don't you?

Yeah. Doctor.

Doctor.

Mm-hmm.

Doctor's take care of us.

We go to them
for regular checkups.

And doctors help us feel better
when we're not feeling well.

Oh, and when we hurt ourselves,

a doctor can bandage us up.

Give us medicine.

And tell us how to stay healthy.

Doctors have that special
way of making us feel better.

And whenever you need a doctor,
all you have to do is call!

[phone ringing]

Hey, that must be Doc Hogg.

How are you, Bear? ♪

♪ Can't complain ♪

♪ But Tutter's
in a little pain ♪

♪ -It seems he's bent
-His tail? ♪

♪ Might be a sprain ♪

♪ But I know what to do ♪

♪ And he'll be good as new ♪

Right, Doc, So, we should-

You should tell Tutter that...

Oh, hold on, I'm gettin'
another call.

bird bath in the sink ♪

Till I see it too ♪

Great, Doc. We'll bring Tutter
right over to your office.

But hey, what do you think?

What kind of things have
you been to the doctor for? Hm?

What do you think?

Uh,
I went there 'cause I was sick.

Check-ups, sh*ts.

To get stitches.

I go to the doctor to get my
earrings out when they're stuck.

Put the little
thing in my ear...

and then takes it out.

They give you
medicine and stuff.

They check my throat to see if
I have strep throat sometimes.

She gave me a check-up,
and she gave me a needle

and she gave me a lollipop.

Wow! Sounds like you've had
some good visits to the doctor.

Well, let's go tell Tutter that
he's going to see Doc Hogg.

Come on.

Oh my tail, my poor little tail.

-Okay, Tutter.
-What.

-Doc Hogg said that-
-Whoa, whoa.

Give it to me straight, Bear.
What's the news?

I can take it.

Tutter! It's okay.

Doc Hogg just wants you to
come to his office

so he can
take a look at your tail.

I have to go [gulp]
to the doctor's office?

Oh, don't worry, Tutter.

Doc Hogg will help
you feel better.

-Really? You're sure?
-Yeah.

Mm-hmm.

Well, um, c-can I take
Kitty with me, huh, Bear?

Sh-she always makes
me feel better.

That's a great idea, Tutter.

Yeah.
I go get Kitty for you, Tutter.

-You just sit there.
-Thanks, Treelo.

Ah.

It's always a good idea to take
something with you

that makes you feel good,

when you have to go
see the doctor.

Yeah.
Last time that I was there...

... there were lots of toys
and stuff to play with, Tutter.

-Really?
-Yeah. Uh-huh.

-Oh.
-Yes, Tutter.

A doctor's office can be
a very friendly place.

Yeah, um... Ojo?

Huh? I was wondering...

you know... since you've been
there before and everything...

Yeah.

Would you mind coming, too?

I-I-It sure would
make me feel better.

-Really?
-Yeah.

Aw, I wouldn't mind at all!

I'll show you all
the cool stuff!

-Aw, thanks, Ojo.
-I got Kitty. Here Kitty.

-Bear, you see...
-Oh, Thank you, Treelo.

-Yeah...
-Okay, let's go.

-What?
-We'd better get going, Tutter.

Okay.

[gasps]

Wow!

L-Look at all the toys...
and, a-and games...

and-and books...

w-what is this, Bear?

Some kind of an amusement park?

thought we were coming
to a doctor's office!

Great, huh?

This is Doc Hogg's waiting room.

This is where we wait
for Doc Hogg to get finished

with his other patients
before he can help us.

A waiting room, eh?

A whole room just for waiting?

Wow. Fancy.

Ooo, I'll go get us some toys,
okay, Tutter?

Oh. Okay. But don't go too far,
though, Ojo.

Okay. Ooo.

Now, let's make you nice and
comfortable somewhere, Tutter.

Okay, Bear.

Um, let's see, um... hmm...

Hey! How about right here?

Um.

There you go, Tutter.

Hmm, um,

Okay... huh...

Um, Tutter? ls everything okay?

Huh? Who me?

Oh yeah,
Bear, everything's fine.

I mean. I'm fine...

Well, I, um [gulp]

Bear?

Is Doctor Hogg going
to touch my sore tail?

Well, Tutter,
I think he'll have to--

just to see what's
wrong with it.

But I bet he will do
everything he can

to make sure
that it doesn't hurt.

How's that sound?

That sounds all right, for now.

Good answer, Bear.

Hey, look at this toy
that I found Tutter.

What? Look, Bear.

[chuckles]

It's cheese that walks.

Walking cheese! [laughter]

-[Shadow's laughter]
-Huh?

-Cool toy, Ojo.

-[Shadow's laughter]
-Did you hear that?

That sounded like my friend,
Shadow.

Hmm?

Maybe if we look real hard
and sing a song together,

she'll appear. Sing with me.

-Shadow!
-[laughter]

Hey, you big ol' bear!

Why, Shadow, there you are!

So,
what are you doing here today?

I was just playing
in the colored lights

shining through the bottles
in Doc's office.

Well, Shadow, since you're here,

do you
happen to have a story for us?

Why certainly, Bear. [laughter]

Just watch.

[magic fairy dust sound]

♪ Five little monkeys
Jumping on the bed ♪

-♪ One fell off... ♪
-Ahh! Ooo.

♪And bumped it's head ♪

♪ Mama called the doctor ♪

Hello, doctor.

My monkeys are jumping
on the bed again.

♪ And the doctor said ♪

No more monkeys
jumping on the bed.

♪ Then four little monkeys
Jumping on the bed ♪

♪ One fell off ♪

-Ahh, ahh!
-♪ And bumped it's head ♪

♪ Papa called the doctor ♪

Hey, Doc.

What am I gonna do
with these monkeys?

♪ And the doctor said ♪

No more monkeys
jumping on the bed.

♪ Now three little monkeys
Jumping on the bed ♪

-♪ One fell off ♪
-Ah-ahh!

♪ Mama called the doctor ♪

Oh, Doc.

♪ And the doctor said ♪

No more monkeys

Hey, Doc. My monkeys.

Will they be okay?

-♪ One fell off ♪
-Ahhh! Ah, ah.

♪ Mama called the doctor ♪

Oh, Doc. My poor little monkeys.

♪ And the doctor said ♪

Put those monkeys right to bed.

[snoring]

Our poor little monkeys.

We love them so.

Wow That was great!

"You know, Shadow, those monkeys
didn't listen to their doctor.

Oh, that reminds me --
I have to go outside

and play with the sunlight
in the water.

Just what the doctor ordered!

[chuckles]

Huh? It's Doc Hogg.

-Uh, h-hello, Doctor Hogg.
-[chuckles]

I tell ya, I've been busier

than a bee in a bucket full
of honey today!

-Ooo.
-That's okay, Doc.

We were having fun.

-Yeah.
-Oh, glad to know it, Ojo.

Well, hey there, Tutter.

How's my favorite
little mouse today?

[chuckles nervously]
Hello, Doctor Hogg, um, sir...

um, ... not so good...

my tail hurts.

-Hmm.
-So I see. So I see.

Well, what do you think?

You wanna come on back
and let me take a look at you?

C-c-c-come on back?

Well, um... uh, can­

can-can Ojo come with me?

And can I bring Kitty too?

Bring whatever makes
you comfortable.

Bring anything or
anyone you like.

As long as you don't forget
to bring yourself. Heh­heh.

Come on, Tutter. Let's go.

[worried]
W-W-What's this room for, Bear?

Oh, This is Doc Hogg's
examination room.

Yeah! This is where Doc
examines his patients.

[nervous] W-W-What's
going to happen in here?

Oh, oh. Nothing bad, Tutter.

Doc's going to help make
you feel all better.

That's right, Tutter. [chuckles]

You got nothing to worry about.

Now, you just relax,

and we'll see if we can't make
you feel better.

Um... okay. l guess...

Alright then. Uh, how about

if we take a little
look at that tail...

Ah! Don't!

Tutter, we're right here.

Yeah. It's okay, Tutter.

No, it isn't! My tail hurts!

Oh.

Hm. Well.

I guess I'd be a little nervous,
too,

if I had a sore tail.

-Yeah.
-Yes indeed. I understand.

Uh, um...

Let me see now.

Say, is this your Kitty?

What? Yeah...

Well,
I'll tell you what, Tutter.

How about I show Kitty what I do

when I get a visit from
a patient with a bent tail?

K-Kitty?

Yeah,
that way, you can see what I do.

Huh? Well, uh, all right.

Uh, -guess. But, uh, but, uh,

b-be careful, Doctor Hogg.

She's kind of nervous.

-Ooo, that's alright.
-Yeah.

You tell her I said there's
nothing to be nervous about.

Huh? Oh, oh, y-y-yeah.

It's okay... Kitty.

Uh, Doctor Hogg says,
don't be nervous.

[chuckles]

Yeah. Oh, and now,
Kitty, if you don't mind,

I'll move your tail to see
what kind of shape it's in.

Is that ok?

Mm-hmm.

Yes. She says it's okay, Doc.

Well, that's good.

-Okay.
-Mm-hmm.

All done!

Kitty,
you're a very helpful patient.

Your tail is fine!

[chuckles]

-Yeah.
-How was that, Tutter?

Oh. Well,
it was fine, Doctor Hogg.

-Yeah.
-But, um, Doctor Hogg, sir...

Hmm.

She's a stuffed animal.

-[laughter] Funny, Tutter.

[laughter]
You got me, right you are.

But, um, [clears throat]

I think you can see now

what I'm going to do...

Oh. Now, how about I get
a look at your tail, Tutter?

[scared] Oh, o-o-okay ...

Bear?

It's okay, Tutter.
I'm right here.

Nothing bad will happen.

Oh no.

Doctor Hogg [clears throat]

Go ahead.

What a brave little mouse.

[gasps]

Say, did I ever tell you

I made up called
"Just Say Oww! "?

Oh yeah, I-I remember that!

Yeah. Me too.

Well, like the song says, Tutter

-"it's over!"[chuckles]
-What?

-That's it?
-Mm-hmm.

-Heh, but that wasn't bad.

[chuckles]

Well, so, Doctor Hogg...

-Hmm.
-What's the story?

Well... What's wrong
with my little tail?

Tutter, I think you're tail
has a little fracture in it.

[relaxed] Heh-heh, a fracture...

[freaked out] A fracture?

Ah, a fracture!
Bear, I've got a fracture.

Oh, it's worse than I thought.

Oh.

-Doctor Hogg, what's a fracture?
-Oh.

[chuckles] Well, Tutter...
it's not too bad.

It can happen to anyone.

I'll use the X-ray
machine and I'll show you.

An x-ray.

What's that?

Well, I'll show you that, too.

See, this is an x-ray camera.

It can take a picture
of the inside of you!

What?

This time,
we're taking a picture

of the inside of your tail!

-Really?
-Mm-hmm

The inside of my tail?

[chuckles] Boy, wow!

I've never seen the inside
of my tail before, Bear.

-I know. Me neither.
-[chuckles]

Okay, now, if you don't mind,
step back, Bear, Ojo, you too.

Give Tutter a little
bit of room.

-Okay.
-Okay, Tutter. We're still here.

And in just a minute or two,
we'll have...

A picture!

Hmm?

Now then, uh, Tutter...

you see right there?

Wh-You mean that little break?

Yep. That's what a fracture is.

Oh.

A little break
in one of your bones.

Oh, okay.

If l had a dime for every time
a mouse came in here

with a
little fracture in his tail.

Well... heh-heh.
I'd have a whole lot of dimes.

Well, uh, because of that
fracture

we'll have to give
you a little cast.

Hey, hey.
Did you hear that guys?

I-I'm going to get a cast!

-Yeah.
-[chuckles]

Doctor Hogg, what's a cast?

Oh well...

See?

A cast is a special hard bandage

that can set your tail
in the right position.

What, you mean,
so it'll be straight again?

[chuckles]
That's the idea, Tutter.

[chuckles] Oh, look, Ojo.

Look, Bear. My very own cast!

-[chuckles]
-That is so coo, Tutter!

-Yeah.
-Yeah.

So,
Doc, what should Tutter do now?

Well, it's a good idea to stay
off of your tail for a while,

and you ought to try
not to bang it around.

[chuckles] Whoa, whoa. Don't you
worry about that, Doctor Hogg.

I-I won't be banging it.

Don't worry about that none.

[chuckles]

Ow. Whoa.

-And no wagging.
-Yeah.

Come back and see me in
a few weeks

and I'll take your cast off.

Wh-Really?

But it's so cool.

Why would you want
to take it off?

Oh, well, because, by then,

it'll be good as new and you
can't wander around

with a cast
on your tail forever.

Oh, uh...

[whispering]
But while you have it on...

be sure to have
all your friends sign it.

[laughter] What a great idea!

Wow, you know,
it's just like Bear said.

Y-You really did fix me up.

Aw,
thanks a lot, Doctor Hogg, sir.

-Thanks a lot for everything!
-Uh, oh.

It's what! love to do, Tutter.

Aw yeah.

Now you get on home
where you belong.

And let the healing begin!

[chuckles]

[chuckles]

-There you go, Tutter.
-[sighs]

All nice and comfy.

-Yeah.
-And Tutter?

Hmm?

I want you to know,
you were very brave today.

Yeah, I was, wasn't I?

I let Doctor Hogg touch
my sore tail and everything.

[yawning]

Well, goodnight, Bear.

Oh. Um, [clears throat]

Thank you, Bear.

Aw, you're welcome, Tutter.

Wow. This has been some day

and I know Luna will definitely
want to hear about it.

Come on.

Ahh! There she is.

Hello, Luna!

How was your day
in the Big Blue House?

Well, we had a little
accident today.

Tutter fractured his tail.

Oh, my! Is he all right?

Oh yes. He's okay now.

We took him to see Doc Hogg,

who knew just what to do
and now his tail is in a cast.

-Really?
-Mm-hmm.

Well,
getting hurt isn't any fun.

Hmm.

But going to the doctor isn't so
bad

if you know what to expect.

True, Luna, true.

And it helps to take something
you like, like a teddy bear,

or a blanket, or even a friend.

Mmm.

Doctors are your friends

and they'll do everything they
can to make you feel better.

Mm-hmm.

Say, Luna, would you sing
the "Goodbye Song" with me?

Nothing would make
me feel better, Bear.
