to start fixing things.

[Pop sniffing]

just fine. [giggles]

Pip goes for a checkup

by himself, hey,

that's okay by me.

Right, now I remember,

Pip went to the doctor's
for a checkup, so

Pop is all alone.

Umm, Pop, are you ok?

Me? I'm just fine, just fine...

I miss Pip! [crying]

But, Pop its ok. Pip is coming
back this afternoon.

This afternoon?
This afternoon? Bear!

That's a long long tiiiiiime....

[Pop crying]

But, but, Pop.

Come on there's lots of things
you can do on your own.

No, Bear! No, Bear, it's not!

There is nothing
to do by myself.

I can't have
any fun without Pip.

cause there's no one
to throw it back!

I can't play hide and seek,
cause there's no one to seek!

And there's nobody to say stuff
together with at the same time!

take it easy,

there really is lots of things
you can do on your own.

You could help me fix things.

that wouldn't be any fun

[Pop crying]

that's all.

[Pop gasps]

you see it's a one otter thing,

Well, first you need

Ok. Then you need
to bounce it on your head

and keep it from
falling on the floor!

Let's see... I think

a gazillion
three hundred and forty...

-nine.
-Is that all? Heh, no problem!

It's coming...

-Bye-bye, Pop!
-Four. Whoahh!

See you, Bear... Five. Whoahh.

Looks like Pop is having
some fun after all.

Now where was I? Yes. The hinge!

See, the hinge connects
the door to the wall.

Now... Just have
to add a little oil.

[oil pouring]

And then...

All fixed! [chuckles]

I knew I could do it.
Connections.

Yeah, connections.
They're everywhere.

And there are so many
big and little connections!

For instance, let's see.

Oh!

A good connection
is your zipper.

Your zipper connects one side
of your coat to the other!

And there are some connections
that make things work.

Oh!

And telephone lines connect
your house to a friends' house!

And houses all over the world!

[laughs]

But best of all,

there's the connection
between you and me!

Connections keep
the world together!

♪ Squeeze a bit and shake it

what else I can fix

I think there's a loose vine.

That sounds like Tutter.

Nice puzzle.
Looks like you're almost done.

When Tutter tries
to figure something out,

he concentrates very hard.
I like that about him.

If only this last piece
could go in but...

Can I take a look at it, Tutter?

If he can figure this one out
he's a better mouse than I am.

Well, this piece must fit
in the puzzle somehow.

[giggles] Bear, how are they
going to do that?

Well maybe if you look
at the puzzle from up above...

Huh? [gasps]

Now you can help us.

Wow, you sure are way up high!

But I don't know, Bear,
I just don't know.

Do you think this piece
will fit the puzzle?

Well see,
look it's a yellow piece,

and there's part of
a circle right there.

But I don't know what to do.
I just don't know!

Well maybe,
will it fit this way?

No, I tried that way already.

No, I tell you it doesn't fit,
Bear. It doesn't fit.

-No, Bear. I don't...
-How about this way?

[piano music playing]

Hey look, it fit, Bear, it fit.

-That's right.
-We did it, Bear. We did it.

[both sigh]

what I could go for right now?

Let me guess...
a big hunk of cheese?

[both laugh]

[Bear chuckles]

Well, let's see
about the swing now, huh?

I think one of the vines

just needs a little tightening
and I can do it with my wrench.

See how the vine
is connected to the swing?

Just a couple of turns.

There, all finished.

See, if the vine weren't
connected to the swing,

airgh, then I couldn't
swing. And I love to swing.

Helps me think.

Hey, you know,
I was just thinking.

who I haven't seen today?

My good friend Shadow.
Come on, let's go find her.

[guitar music playing]

She's gotta be
around here somewhere.

Maybe if we look real hard

and sing a song together,
she might appear.

[Shadow laughs]

I think the shower head
in the bathroom

could use my attention.

It's a little leaky. Come on.

Okay. Now, all I need is
my trusty handy-dandy

Bearcraft wrench

-to tighten the shower.
-Bear! Bear!

Hey, Ojo! What's up?

Hey, Bear, do you have any glue?

Mmm... As a matter of fact...

I have some wheat glue
here in my toolbox.

Why what do you need it for?

I'm making something

-Ready, Treelo!

[both giggle]

-Bear, hi! Bear, look, Bear.

A train.

Wow, it's a train!

Yeah,
it's the little Bear express.

And I'm just
about to finish it up.

But, Bear,
could you please stick

the top on the caboose back
there for me, please?

Sure, see, a little glue.

-There.
-Perfect! OK. Hit it, Treelo!

[imitates train whistle sound]

the Little Bear Express!

Wow, what a great train!

Hey hurry, Bear,

you're gonna miss the train!
C'mon!

It's pulling out of the station!

There. This is a nice train
you made out of boxes, Ojo.

Yeah, it is and you know what,
that's the caboose back there.

And you and Treelo
are in the passenger cars

and I am in the engine.

Engine.

Oh!

Look, all the cars are connected
with string!

Bear, ticket?

-Ticket, ticket, ticket, ticket!
-I don't I have a ticket.

That's ok, Bear.

You can just use
a pretend ticket.

Okay. Here you go, Treelo.

So. Where does
the Little Bear Express go?

Well, it could go anywhere
we want it to go, Bear!

Wow, that's great!
I can just see us now!

A big οl' train,

clickety-clacketing
along the tracks,

through the countryside...

[cheering]

And woods!

-Look! Trees! I love trees!
-Yeah! Trees!

And past all the houses!

Hey! Houses!

And look, a tunnel!

A tunnel!
Hey, you better duck, Bear.

TREELO: Yeah duck.

[laughter]

This is fun...

[hiss and screech]

Okay, Bear! This is your stop!

-Time to get off the train.
-Already?

Yeah, c'mon, c'mon!
We've got a schedule to keep.

Well, ok.
I guess this is where I get off.

Besides I've got
a lot more things to fix

with my trusty tools.

Well, I think there's a record
for two otters...

Well, if I recall correctly
it's two gazillion and three.

Wow. I dunno.

Come on, Pip, we can do it!

It all starts with one bounce!
Toss it for us, will ya, Bear?

-Sure, here you go, good luck!

-I got the door.
-Ok, here we go.

Two! Yeah!

I wonder how long it'll take
them to get to two gazillion!

[chuckles]

[guitar music playing]

The attic, isn't it great?

Sometimes I just like
to come up here

and look out at the stars.

It's also where I come up
to talk to a special friend.

Let's go see if we can find her.

Uh! There she is! Hey, Luna!

Hello, Bear!
And how are you tonight?

Just great, Luna.
We had a great day.

Pip went for a checkup today,
so Pop was here by himself.

My. I'll bet Pop
really missed Pip.

Yeah, but Pop found a way
to have fun by himself

until Pip came back.

I'm glad.
And what about Ojo and Treelo?

Well, Ojo and Treelo made
the greatest choo-choo

from just a bunch of boxes.

The Little Bear Express!

And we travelled
all across the countryside!

There's nothing like racing
across the countryside by train.

I often watch them from up here.

But tell me, what about
our little friend, Tutter?

What did he do today?

Tutter put together
a great puzzle!

It was a picture of...

-Let me guess...
-A piece of cheese!

[both laugh]

That's right, Luna,
and I'll bet you know

what he had for a snack
when he was done!

-Cheese, of course.
-Yeah, ha-ha-ha.

My, my, Bear, it sounds like
you had a wonderful day!

I sure did, Luna.

Being near all my friends
always makes for a great day.

I know, Bear.

Being with your friends
is the best connection of all.

True, true.

Well, guess I better be
getting back up in the sky.

The Earth will start
to feel lonely without me.
