[RATTLING]

SINGER: Way up high
In the Rolie Polie sky

Is a little round planet
Of a really nice guy

[UP-TEMPO b*at]

SINGER: He's Rolie Polie Olie

He's small and smart and round

And in the land of curves and curls

He's the swellest kid around

Howdy

Howdy

Hooray

Hooray

And in the land of curves and curls

He's the swellest kid around

He's Rolie Polie Olie

He's small and smart and round

And in the land of curves and curls

He's the swellest kid around

Howdy

Howdy

Hooray

Hooray

And in the land of curves and curls

He's the swellest kid around

And in the land of curves and curls

He's the swellest kid

The swellest kid around

Whee!

DAD: Knock, knock.

Who's visiting my gingerbread house?

[LAUGHING]

I reckon that someone is up
to Jingle Jangle hijinks.

Hmm.

Hmm.

MOM: Left, a little.

Right, just a smidgeon.

Perfect.

Perfect.

Oh, my, I just love this time of the year

with all its caring and sharing.

PAPPY: Yessiree!

There's nothing like decorating

the Jingle Jangle tree
to warm the old pistons.

Or roasting wing nuts
on an open fire.

And best of all,
wishing that Klanky Klaus

would leave a zillion toys
under the tree.

MOM: Olie,

Klanky Klaus doesn't always

buy everything you ask for.

He doesn't have to buy it

'cause Klanky Klaus
can build anything, can't he?

-Well...
-Well...

Oh! Pretty, pretty star!

That star is Pappy's special ornament.

Gently.

This star has been on top

of every Polie Jingle Jangle tree

since I was just
a little sprocket myself.

Hey, you want to clip old Starry
on the tree this year, Olie?

Yeah!

Why don't we let Zowie

Put Starry on the tree this year?

Me hang Starry.

DAD: Take it slow, Zow.

Oh, Zowie!

Zowie break Starry.

PAPPY: Oh, it's okay, Zow.

It was an accident.

Poor Starry.

Oh... can't be fixed?

Oh, the pieces are too old and brittle

to put back together.

I don't think anyone can fix

old Starry.

Zow...

Oh, let me talk to her.

Poor thing.

I know you didn't mean
to break Starry, Zowie.

Sometimes old things break easy.

That's just the way things are.

Poor Starry.

[BELL JINGLING]

Bedtime. Sleepy time.
Jammy time, too.

DAD: Come on, Zow.

We got to get to bed
before Klanky Klaus comes.

Klanky Klaus fix Starry?

PAPPY: Oh, I don't think so.

I'll bet Klanky Klaus can fix it.

Psst! Zowie.

Olie?

Shh! We can get Klanky Klaus

to fix Starry for us.

He can fix anything.

Klanky Klaus fix Starry?

OLIE: You betcha! All we got to do
is write him a note

And tell him what happened.

Write note.

This has got to work.

Jingle Jangle day won't be the same

without Pappy's star
on top of the tree.

[BOTH SNORING]

KLANKY KLAUS: Ho-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho!

Ho-ho-ho-ho-ho!

Oh-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho!

Ho-ho, here I go!

Leaping lug nuts!

Has this spout shrunk?

Oh!

Ooh!

Woof?

[WHISTLING]

Woof!

KLANKY KLAUS: Aha!

Young Olie and Zowie Polie
trying to sneak up on me.

Don't they know all little bots

fall asleep on Jingle Jangle night

whether they want to or not?

[LAUGHING]

Mm! Delicious.

Even better than last year.

Sorry, Poochums, no time to play.

Klanky Klaus has got toys to deliver.

[LAUGHING]

Presents... lots...

for good little bots.

That about does it.

[GROWLING]

KLANKY KLAUS: Ho-ho-hokeydokey!

[SPOT BARKING]

Woof!

Oh, what have you got there, little fella?

"Dear Klanky Klaus,

"Can you please fix
our Pappy's favorite

"old ornament named Starry?

"It got broken by an accident

"and made us all super sad.

"P.S. If we have
to give up some of our toys

"so you can fix Starry, we don't mind.

"Your pals, Olie and Zowie

"P.S.S. Happy Jingle Jangle Day.

"We love you."

Well, I'll be bejangled.

[LAUGHS]

If this isn't the sweetest note
Old Klanky Klaus has ever read.

Thanks for getting me this note, Spot.

You're a swell pup.

Now back to sleep.

Oh, goodness,
that's a pretty bad break, Starry.

Let's see what old Klanky can do.

[YAWNS]

[SNORING]

We fell asleep!

Wait! The note's gone.

[BARKING]

Starry?

Starry fixed?

OLIE: Yes!

I knew Klanky Klaus would fix it!

Yay!

Thank you, Klanky Klaus.

Oowhee! Would you look at that?

What's all the hullabaloo?

MOM: Well, I'll be!

Starry...

Looking brand-spanking-new!

How did that happen?

OLIE: Klanky Klaus did it!

Me and Zow wrote him a note,
and we snuck downstairs

and waited and waited, and we fell asleep,
and he must have come

and read the note, and left presents!

He left us presents,
zillions of presents!

Happy Jingle Jangle Day, Pappy.

Happy Jingle Jangle Day,
my little candy cane.

This is the bestest
Jingle Jangle Day ever.

Are these all of Mr. Snowie's parts?

Yepper.

The Jingle Jangle season
sure is keen.

Jangle-jangle...

Whoopsie!

[BARKING]

Uh-oh! Mr. Snowie's lost his head!

Spot! No, Spot!

[BARKING]

OLIE: Come on, Mr. Snowie.

Time to put you together.

[BARKING]

Do you think

Mr. Snowie gets lonely

waiting all year

For Jingle Jangle to get here?

Mr. Snowie is just a decoration, Olie.

He's not real.

He sure seems real to me.

Too bad we can't make
Mr. Snowie out of real snow.

Have you ever seen snow, Dad?

Uh-huh.

What's it like?

Real snow is a wonderful thing, Olie.

It makes the whole world
wondrous and white

and full of fun.

You can go sledding

and sliding and skating

and even make snowballs.

Too bad it never snows in Polieville.

Almost never.

Way back, when I was knee-high
to a sprocket wrench

Mr. Sunny blew a bulb.

And before you could say,
"Jumpin' Jack Hammerfrost",

it got so cold, it snowed.

Wow!

[LAUGHING]

That should do it.

Okeydokey.

Dad, where's his lighty-up nose?

Bust my bolts!

Now where is his lighty-up nose?

[LAUGHING]

Seems Spot has a nose for noses.

How about you doing
the honors this year, Olie?

You betcha, Dad.

DAD: Presto! Mr. Snowie

the snow bot!

Our old friend

Mr. Snowie!

Snowie, Snowie, Snowie, Snowie!

-[BARKING]
-Snowie, Snowie, Snowie!

Sure is beautiful.

Yeah. Now if it would
just snow for real.

Snow. Sure would be swell to play in it.

Yeah.

Snow.

[SIGHING]

Just once.

Wow!

Snow, Zowie! Snow!

ZOWIE: Snow, snow, snow, snow.

Look! Snowballs.

Neat-o!

Ooh.

It's cold enough
to freeze your gears.

Gee-wilikers.

Look, Zow, it's snowing.

Ya-hoo!

[LAUGHING]

Hmm?

Sorry, Mr. Snowie.

I didn't mean to, uh...

There you go.

Oops.

How's about like this?

Come on, Zow.

I think he wants us

to go sledding.

-Yay!
-Yay!

But... we've got no sled.

Wow!

A genuine, glittering glider.

You think it can fit three?

-Ya-hoo!
-Whee!

Yeah! Faster, faster, Snowie!

Go!

-[LAUGHING]
-Huh?

-Wow!
-[LAUGHING]

That was great.

Gee, snowy, I wish we could skate.

Wow! Skates.

Let's get sliding.

Skate. Skate.

Slide. Slide.

Hey, this is easy.

[LAUGHING]

Whoa-oa!

Oomph!

I was, uh, just... testing the ice.

Okeydokey, Snowie.

Here I go again.

Whoa-oa!

Ooh! Whoa! Whoa,
whoa, whoa, whoa.

This skater thing
is tougher than it looks.

Zowie happy sliding.

[LAUGHING]

Wow, look at you go.

Whoa!

[LAUGHING]

How's that, Mr. Snowie?

Whee!

Cold.

Hmm.

[TEETH CHATTERING]

Thank you, Olie.

It's getting late, Mr. Snowie.

I guess me and Zow
have to be heading home.

You feel lonely?

Mr. Snowie be sad.

Hey, I've got an idea.

No peeking till I tell ya.

Okeydokey, you can look now.

Now you'll always have
somebody to keep you company.

Guess we just gave snowy the best kind

of Jingle Jangle present, Zow.

A friend.

Jangly-jangly fun for snowy.

[SIGHING]

Snow, snow, snow.

[DOOR OPENING]

Well, Olie, seems
Mr. Sunny blew a bulb.

It's snowing!

Snow! Snow! Snow!

Snowflakes are flying

like snow powder on wash day.

You've never seen anything like it.

[LAUGHING]

-Yippee!
-Ya-hoo!

[SPOT BARKING]

[LAUGHING]

Wow.

Golly.

ZOWIE: Snow! Snow! Snow! Snow!

[LAUGHING]

OLIE: Thanks, Mr. Snowie.

Ready for our favorite
Jingle Jangle Day story?

Ready.

Ready.

[BARKS]

Ready.

Okeydokey.

[CLEARING THROAT]

-"'Twas Jingle Jangle Day's Eve when... "
-ZOWIE: Wait!

Hot Chockie! Hot Chockie!

You're absolutely right, Zow.

We can't start the story without

our traditional extra-chocoblock
hot chocolate.

-Hot Chockie! Hot Chockie!
-Yay!

Hot Chockie!

Everyone happy?

Hey, what about the marshmallows?

You're right, dear.

We can't forget the marshmallows.

Thanks, tray.

Now we're ready.

Story! Story!

Jingly-jangly story!

Righty-o you are, Zowie.

[CLEARING THROAT]

"Jingle Jangle Day's Eve."

Jingle Jangle! Jingle Jangle!

[CHUCKLING]

"'Twas Jingle Jangle Day's Eve,
when all around the pod

"not a botty was blinking, not Chili

"nor Spot.

"Bot socks were bolted
to the mantle quite tight

"in hopes that Klanky Klaus
would drop in that night.

"Olie and Zow were tucked
in their beddies

"while visions of candy curls
whirled in their headies.

"Mom ratcheted a kerchief;
I bolted my cap

"While Beddy tucked us in
for a long Polie nap..."

[HUMMING]

[GIGGLING]

[SNORING]

"...when from up on the lid
came a bolt-rattling roar.

"I flopped right off Beddy,
and boinged across the floor."

ZOWIE:
Boing, Boing!

-Boing! Boing!
-Boing! Boing!

Oomph!

Whoopsie-doodles.

[GIGGLING]

Ooh! Whoopsie-doodles is right.

Sorry, Dad.

Zowie and I got carried away there.

Story! Story!

Yeah, get back to the story, Dad.

[CLEARING THROAT]

Well, I, uh...

[CHUCKLING]

You ran right to the door
as quick as can be.

It threw itself open,
and what did you see?

Klanky Klaus!

Not yet, Zow.

He went right to the door

As quick as can be.

It threw itself open,
and what did I see?

What made my eyes nearly burst
from their sockets?

ZOWIE: Klanky Klaus!

OLIE: Not yet.

-First, a tiny little ship...
-[GASPING]

...powered by eight super rockets.

ZOWIE: Klanky Klaus!

DAD: I remember now.

From his twinkling eye
and bright, shiny Schnauz

I knew straightaway

it was ole Klanky Klaus.

The rockets they spun,
as upward they strained

and he whistled and shouted
and called them by name.

"Now, Whirly! Now, Curly!
Now, Zoom and Kaboom!

"On, turbo! On, blaster!
On, sonic and boom!"

To the top of the pot,
to the top of the spout

Rocket on up and let Klanky Klaus out.

So up to the housetop
the rockets chug-chugged

With ole Klanky Klaus
and the toys that he loved.

He was Rolie and Polie,
a round bot and stout.

Was no way he'd fit down
the thin Polie spout

So he, uh...

I guess he had another cookie
and went straight to the Bevels.

-Huh?
-[CHUCKLING]

Dad, that's not how it goes.

What about the twisty noggin?

Twisty noggin! Twisty noggin!

Well...

Right you are, kids.

It's twisty noggin indeed.

A clink of his gears
and a twist of his noggin,

he zipped down the spout
as if on a toboggan.

[LAUGHING]

MOM: Dad raced to the fireplace,
and what did he see?

Ole Klanky's black boots
sticking out the chimney.

DAD: I gave a great tug
on ole Klanky's boot.

And out he then popped
with a bonk and a bloop.

MOM: With squeaky old springs

and a belly so heavy

he bounced when he laughed
like a '55 Chevy.

DAD: A fresh load of rusty parts
he had in his pack.

ZOWIE: No, no, no, no, no!

No rusty.

Toys! Toys!

Really?

He didn't bring rusty parts?

No. Toys.

Dad, Klanky Klaus
builds toys in his workshop

for good little bots

and he leaves them under the tree.

He only leaves rusty parts
for bad little bots.

Hmm, are you sure?

[SIGHING]

Just read the book, Dad.

Okeydokey.

[CLEARING THROAT]

"A fresh load of toys
he had in his pack

"and he blasted them out
with a clickety-clack.

"In the dark of the room
we could just barely see

"and Klanky sent presents

"everywhere but the tree.

"They poinged and they bonged
and they banged every botty.

"In the dark of the night,
they even boinged me."

OLIE: Where do Zowie and I come in?

ZOWIE: Olie, Zowie. Olie, Zowie.

DAD: Right. Now, be patient.

"Then Olie and Zowie
slowly crept across the floor.

"Klanky peered through the dark
of the living room door."

-OLIE: Ooh!
-ZOWIE: Ooh!

DAD: "He huffed and harrumphed,
and then shook his round head.

"All good little bots
should be up in their beds."

OLIE: "We know," said the kids,
"Evening's not very bright.

"We wanted to give you
a Rolie night light."

[LAUGHING]

Mm, yummy.

DAD: "Ole Klanky Klaus was touched
from his toes to his chin.

"Here on Jingle Jang's Eve,
some presents for him.

"He flicked on the light

"gave the old tree a tweak

"and filled all the bot socks,
and turned with a creak.

"Kick-starting the engines
in his pointy old toes

"then with a sly smile,
up the chimney he rose.

"He sprang to his ride,
his old joints a'clinkin'.

"Away he a'roofed,
his new night light a'blinkin'.

"As he rode out of sight

"he said loud and clear,
'Jingle Jangle to all

"and good holiday cheer!'"

ALL: Happy holidays!
