Trouble in Chalk Town. [gasps]

[meowing]

[giggling]

Mira Gatita! Chalk!

[meowing]

[giggling]

Gatita!

Chalk isn't for kitty cats!

[confused meowing]

But who is it for?

[Tía]: It's for everyone!

I found this leftover chalk in the garage,

so I put it out here in the circle drive

for anyone who wants to use it.

Ooh! Ooh! I wanna use it!

I wanna use it too!

[meowing]

[Tía]: i¡Aquí tienen!

[meowing]

i¡OÓrale, Gatita!

[excited meowing]

[giggling]

Rosie's Rule:

Sometimes your kitty cat really can draw with chalk!

I'm going to put out these cones

while you are playing out here.

Happy chalk drawing!

Look how many colors there are!

Blue. Red. Green.

Blue-ish green. Pink-ish red...

We can make so many coolamadoodle things!

But what should we draw?

I've gotta know!

♪ I have a great big question

♪ And I just can't let it go

♪ Yo quiero saberlo

♪ I really gotta know

What should we draw with the chalk?

Maybe...

♪ We can draw a pyramid up to the sky ♪

♪ With a giant Quetzalcoatl way up on one side ♪

♪ We could draw some goblins or robots or cats ♪

♪ Who play vihuelas and wear silly hats ♪

That sounds wow-mazing.

Hmm...

- Wait a secamadoodle! - [startled meow]

We can draw... a town!

A whole entire chalk town!

i¡Sí, qué padre!

With buildings and houses...

[gasps] And a Purple Knight castle!

Sounds Fuentastical!

Oh, yeah! Gonna draw!

Chalk Town! Right now!

Well, it's right now, so...

[both]: Let's get drawing!

[upbeat music]

Hmm...

Ah!

Mira, Javi.

I'm making a skyscraper

that goes high into the sky!

Here's the Purple Knight castle!

With a drawbridge,

so we can go in and out whenever we want!

And this is the slime factory!

Nothing like ooey gooey slime.

And primo...

I know what can go here!

[both]: A river of sprinkles!

[giggling]

Rosie's Rule:

Every chalk town needs a river of sprinkles.

[humming]

[laughing]

A sprinkle here.

And a sprinkle there...

- Zoom! - Whoa!

[gasps] Jun!

You scooted through our river of sprinkles!

Sorry, Rosie.

- I was just warming up. - Warming up for what?

[Quinn]: For our scooter race in the circle drive!

Well, that's new information!

We're using the circle drive for Chalk Town.

Well, how about we scoot over here?

I don't know...

I was gonna draw kitty cat swings for Gatita over there.

[meowing]

But I guess now I can't.

[sad meowing]

We'll stay out of your way!

Y ahora... What do we do?

We keep drawing! That's what we do!

Besides, we still have our skyscraper.

And our castle.

And our slime factory.

So ooey gooey.

And don't forget the river of sprinkles!

I could never forget that!

[upbeat music]

'Scuse me. Pool coming through!

Pool coming froo!

What's that for?

It for Iggy!

And Lote!

I'm making a bubble pool.

And the circle drive is the perfect spot.

Yeah, but it's not really perfect, Crystal,

because we're using the circle drive

for Chalk Town!

Don't worry, guys.

We'll totally stay out of your way. Right, Iggy?

[Iggy]: Lote climb to sky!

Starting now.

It's getting really crowded out here.

[gasps] And a bubble just smudged

our skyscraper!

Está bien, Javi.

We still have our castle,

and the slime factory...

And the river of sprinkles.

A little bit of this...

And this over here.

[dog barking]

It's bath time for Benito!

You're giving Benito a bath here?

i¡Sí! Benito likes the circle drive

because it's nice and sunny.

[Benito barks]

But I don't think the circle drive

can fit anyone else!

'Scuse me, kids! Coming through!

Huh. I guess it can.

[giggling]

[grunting]

[giggling]

[Jun and Quinn cheering]

[barking]

[giggling]

[Iggy grunting]

Uh-oh. What do we do?

We're running out of space for Chalk Town.

Hmm... I need to call Abuela.

[chiming]

[Rosie]: i¡Hola, Abuela!

i¡Hola, mi niña!

I'm getting ready to swim my laps in the pool!

¿Qué pasa?

We're drawing a chalk town in the circle drive,

but people and dogs and moms keep coming here!

Ya veo.

Let me think about this while I go to my section.

[Rosie]: Section?

i¡Sí!

The pool has sections that help everyone

stay in their own spot while they swim!

Maybe we can try that in the circle drive!

[whistle blowing] Oh! My swim time is starting.

i¡Adiós granito de arroz!

i¡Ciao bacalao!

[meowing]

Javi, guess what?

[gasps] You found a place

to draw swings for Gatita?

- Meow? - Not yet.

[sad meowing]

We can make sections,

so everyone will stay in their own spot!

[upbeat music]

Jun and Quinn,

how about we make this your scooter section?

Um, okay.

And this could be Benito's bath section.

¿Ya oíste Benito?

Let's try to stay over here.

[barks]

And this will be the bubble section!

Works for me!

You know...

this just might work!

Hooray dance?

i¡Sale y vale!

Elbow bump! Silly jump!

i¡Muévete!

[both]: Huh?

Sorry.

Bubbles... don't...

really stay where they're...

supposed to! Phew!

Pop, pop, pop, pop!

- [barking] - i¡Ven aquí, Benito!

Wow! It's hard to scoot in one spot!

- Pop, pop! - 'Scuse me, again!

I don't think the sections are working, do you?

I really don't.

[sighs]

I just want to finish drawing our chalk town,

but everyone's using the circle drive and...

I need to flop.

I need to flop too!

[both]: Breathe in... [inhaling]

Breathe out... [exhaling]

Wiggle about.

Now we're ready to figure this out.

Vamos a ver.

Tía? Why are so many people using the circle drive?

Well, because the circle drive is a shared space.

It's here for everyone on our street to use,

for all kinds of things.

[Jun and Quinn]: Woo-hoo!

Like scooter races?

- Sí. - Pop, pop!

And blowing bubbles!

- Pop, pop, pop! - [barking]

And giving Benito a bath! [chuckling]

[Mom]: It's also a great place

to have a little neighborhood party!

- A party? - Party?

[Mom]: Uh-huh! That's what I've been setting up for

this whole time!

Mama macaroni!

I don't have macaroni,

but I brought hot dogs!

- [overlapping chatter] - [Crystal]: Mm, smells good!

It's party time in the circle drive!

[upbeat music]

♪ Hey, look over there

Over where?

♪ It's a space that we can share ♪

- ♪ Me and you - Me and you!

- ♪ You and me - You and me!

♪ Everyone in our community

♪ There's a park

♪ ¿Quieres venir? ♪

♪ Stop what you are doing and meet us here ♪

♪ We can blow our bubbles there and play ♪

♪ And our dog can run around all day ♪

Hey!

- ♪ Wow, look over there - Where?

♪ It's a space that we can share ♪

I kinda like making Chalk Town

in a shared space.

Me too, cause it feels like a real town!

Rosie's Rule:

there are spaces that we all share

and that makes them wow-mazing for everyone!

Lote swim in sprinkles!

Make room for us, Lote!

We wanna swim, too!

Swim, swim, swim!

[giggling]

Storytime Garden!

Mmm!

Here, fishy, fishy!

I'm visiting you at the nature center!

That's Chester, our blue catfish.

Someday, he might be this long.

Whoa...

then Chester will need a ginormous fish t*nk!

[gasps] Look!

Ooh!

These are peacock feathers. Aren't they colorful?

They look like fancy eyes!

[giggling] They do!

Oh! And here's a rock

that's about a million years old.

That's really old.

And I see Iggy found the iguana.

Iggy guana too! Rawr!

[giggling] Rosie's Rule:

sometimes your brother likes to pretend he's an iguana.

Did you know that most iguanas can swim?

Wow, Mom.

You know everything about the nature center!

[chuckling] Not everything, but...

I do learn a lot by helping out as a volunteer.

Speaking of volunteering,

I'd better start setting up for nature story time!

I love nature story time!

Where's it gonna be, Mom?

Here? Over here?

[gasps] Near Chester?

Actually, I thought we would have it...

in the story time garden!

- Hmm... - Oh, dear.

[Rosie]: The garden doesn't look very...

story time-y.

Uh-uh! It look messy!

It does look a little messy.

I don't know if we can have story time out here after all.

But we have to have story time in the garden!

It's called "the story time garden!"

Yeah! That's what it called!

I know, kids, but I don't know what to do.

Wait a garden-madoodle!

I can fix it!

Are you sure?

Yup! I can fix up the messy garden.

Then we'll be able to have nature story time!

Oh, yeah! Gonna fix!

The messy garden! Oh, yeah!

The thing is, Rosie Posie,

fixing the messy garden is a lot of work.

And I have to volunteer inside so I can't really help you--

I can do it, Mom! Me!

This girl here. Rosie! All by myself!

Well, I suppose we can give it a try.

I'll grab some garden tools from the shed.

Oh, I can't wait to fix the garden!

I wonder what it should look like?

I've gotta know!

What should the story time garden look like?

♪ We'll plant a daisy that grows taller than a cloud ♪

♪ While goblins read books by firefly light ♪

That would be wow-mazing.

[Mom]: Okay, found some gardening tools!

[gasps] Ooh!

Iggy want dis fork!

Oh! That's a rake, Iggy.

Yeah, and I need it to rake the leaves in the garden!

But Iggy love it!

You love the rake, huh?

How about this, Iggy. You give Rosie the rake,

and then you can help me feed Chester the fish.

[gasps] Bye, Wosie!

[chuckling]

We'll be in here if you need us.

[humming]

Raking the garden! [humming]

Aw, these florecitas are droopy.

Maybe with a little bit of water...

Ta-da! Hmm...

Still droopy.

You just need some time.

I believe in you, florecitas!

Are you ready, little rake?

'Cause we have a lot more work to do.

[Javi]: i¡Hola, prima!

Who are you talking to?

- The rake! - The rake?

i¡Sí! I'm fixing the garden for nature story time!

All by myself!

This is where I'm raking the leaves.

Here's where I'm growing the flowers...

You can do it! I believe in you, florecitas!

Ooh! You know what would be cool in the garden?

A trumpet playing elephant? I know!

I was gonna say rock art.

What's rock art?

You take rocks and make different shapes,

like a spiral or a star!

That's a Fuentastical idea, Javi!

I'm gonna do that right now!

Do you need any help?

Nope. I've got it!

Okay! See you at story time.

Here I go, looking for rocks!

[grunting]

Rosie's Rule:

making a rock garden can be...

[panting] ...very heavy!

[grunting] Phew!

Hi, Rosie!

Javi said you were fixing the story time garden.

I am! All by myself!

Here's where I'm raking the leaves.

This will be the rock art.

That's where the flowers are trying to grow...

I believe in you, florecitas!

[Quinn]: Ooh, ooh, ooh!

You know what would be great in the garden?

I do!

- Rope swing! - Armadillo habitat!

A rope swing?

Yeah! It could hang from that tree.

And everyone could play on it!

But with an armadillo habitat,

a lost armadillo will always have a home.

Hmm...

Nope! I say rope swing.

I say armadillo!

How about a swing...

for the armadillo?

Yeah!

[gasps] Genius!

Want us to help?

Nope! I've got it!

Okay. See you at story time!

Here I go making an armadillo swing!

Uh... How do you make an armadillo swing?

I need to call Abuela.

I'm calling Abuela!

[phone chiming]

Is that bird talking?!

I'm taking care of Vero's parrot while she's away.

Se llama Perico.

[giggling]

I'm fixing the story time garden

and I need to make an armadillo swing.

But I don't know how!

Ya veo.

Mira Rosalía, Perico has a swing right here.

It's made from a tree branch.

i¡OÓrale! A tree branch is a great idea!

i¡Gracias Abuela!

i¡Adiós granito de arroz!

[Rosie]: i¡Ciao, bacalao!

i¡Ciao, bacalao! [squawks]

[giggling]

Where can I get a branch?

[gasps] Ah-ha!

[Rosie]: No branches, but here's a great big log!

[grunting]

[sighs]

Fixing the story time garden

is harder than I thought.

At least there's lots of time before it--

[Mom]: We're ready for nature story time!

Storytime's starting?!

[humming]

[gasps] This...

doesn't look ready for story time.

That's because everyone had so many wow-mazing ideas

for the garden!

And I thought I could do them all by myself,

but I couldn't and...

I need to flop.

Breathe in... [inhaling]

Breathe out... [exhaling]

Wiggle about.

Now I'm ready to figure this out.

Mom? Maybe I do need help with the garden.

Well, that would make sense, Rosie Posie.

The garden is a shared space.

It's for everyone in the community to use.

[Mom]: So that means everyone should help

take care of it, too.

But who's gonna help fix it

for nature story time?

Well, it just so happens

that a few kids are here right now.

And I bet they'd love to help.

- Nature story time! - We're here!

Hi!

Okay. Who wants to help

get the story time garden ready with me?

- i¡Yo ayudo! - Let's do it!

Me!

[all cheering]

[upbeat music]

Wow! The story time garden

looks super-duper-magirifical!

Because we all worked together!

[Mom]: And now we can all have...

nature story time!

[all cheering]

Yes, story time!

♪ What a supertastical place

♪ We love to look after this space ♪

♪ When we all work together

♪ Then everything is better

♪ For community spaces we share ♪

- ♪ In the garden I can weed ♪ - Perdón Gatita.

♪ And I will plant the seeds ♪

You can do it, florecita!

♪ When everyone helps, we'll get it done ♪

♪ Taking care of a garden's so fun ♪

[both]: It sure is!

♪ What a wow-mazing place

♪ We love to look after this space ♪

♪ We all work together

♪ In every kind of weather

♪ For community spaces we share ♪

And Arnie Armadillo will always remember

Everyone ready for our family photo?

[others]: Ready!

[chuckling]

[Crystal]: Everyone looks great!

Here we go!

[Crystal]: Three...

two...

one...

- Meow! - Whoa!

[Gatita]: Uh-oh...

[nervous chuckling]

Let's try this again.

[meowing]

[giggling]

[Crystal]: Perfect!

Here we go...

- Three... - Ah...

two... one...

- Achoo! - Meow!

- Gatita! - [shutter clicking]

- i¡Salud! - Ah... Gracias.

One more time, everyone!

Keep smiling, and... perfect!

- Three, two... - Hmm?

- [gasps] - [Crystal]: One...

Ooh! Whoa!

Whoa, oh, whoa!

[thudding, grunting]

[Mom]: I'm okay!

[sighs]

This is the one.

Three... two... one...

[gasps] Uh-oh.

Did I forget to push the button?

Hmm? [sighs]

[chuckling]

- Meow! - Whoa!

[Crystal]: Sometimes the best family photo

is the one you don't plan!
