With the kratt brothers!

♪ Chris and martin saw something strange ♪

♪ A little leaping lemur who liked to bounce and play ♪

♪ They followed their new bouncing friend ♪

♪ Not knowing where this adventure would end ♪

♪ The animals were headed just around the bend ♪

♪ Where are they going? I don't know ♪

♪ How do we get there? Come on, let's go ♪

♪ Me and you and zoboomafoo ♪

♪ Come along and see what's new ♪

♪ We're doing the things that animals do ♪

♪ New animal friends to see ♪

♪ Animal junction is the place to be ♪

♪ Elephants are charging, baboons are leapin' ♪

Chris: the more we plant, the better.

Martin: we'll be all ready for her.

Here's the dirt...

And the grass seed. All right.

We planted some grass in animal junction

So the african crowned crane will visit.

An african crowned crane likes to eat grass

And yummy insects.

You'd better leave, buddy. We have some grass...

But we need more.

Let's keep planting.

[Heads bump]

Oh!uh!

If only we had horns.

When bighorn sheep butt heads,

Those big horns really come in handy.

Chris: horns help protect their heads when they head-butt.

Should we call zoboo?

Zoboo!zoboo!

Chris: zoboomafoo!

Hey, zoboo!

Good to see you. How are you doing?

Chris: try to find me, zob!

Zoboo, over here!

Woo!

I'll get zoboo a snack.

Martin: hey, zoboo, I've got some sweet potato.

Want a piece?

There you go.

Keep on munching, buddy.

[Burp]

Excuse me.

Zoboomafoo!

Woo!

Hey.

Ha ha!

Hi. Great to see you.

Zob, if we grow a lot of grass,

An african crowned crane might visit.

Grass--that's what the creatures I saw today were eating.

They were having fun. Who could they be?

♪ Who could it be, this animal who I did see? ♪

♪ Can you help me guess this mystery? ♪

He had big, hard toenails.

When I saw him, he was jumping around.

His legs were strong but springy.

♪ Who could it be, this animal who I did see? ♪

♪ Mangatsika ♪

♪ Mangatsika animal ♪

Zoboo: he went "baa" and ate grass.

He liked it a lot.

♪ Ha heh heh ♪

♪ Who could it be, this animal who I did see? ♪

♪ Can you help me guess this mystery? ♪

Zoboo: a springy-legged, horny-headed grass-eater.

Who is he?

Martin: let's see. Split hooves.

Goes "baa."

Horns on the head.

Sounds like...

Goats!goats!

The mystery animals are here. Dig those crazy lids.

Chris: an african pygmy goat and her kid.

A baby goat is called the kid.

Wow.

You want a little grass seed?

Leave some for the cranes.

Zoboo: she really likes it.

Zoboo: save some grass seed for the crowned crane.

Look at those spiky horns.

Zoboo: mangatsika.

Spikes--i love them.

And the kid has two, too.

A goat's horns never stop growing--

Kind of like fingernails.

Different creatures have amazing things on their heads--

Fur, feathers, horns.

They're the amazing creature lids.

Feathery lids!

Loose skin lids.

Horned lids.

Spiral lids.

Branched lids!

All kinds of lids for all kinds of creatures.

Zoboo: this is really flipping my lid!

[Baa]

Guys, look! More goats.

It's a goat invasion.

Chris: they must have smelled the grass in animal junction.

Come on in. The more lids, the merrier.

Martin: goats!

And sheep, too.

These goats are making themselves at home.

Zoboo: animal junction just turned into sheep and goat junction.

Martin, what's he doing?

That baby goat is drinking milk from his mother.

Zoboo: how do you know he's a goat and not a sheep?

You can tell by looking at their chin.

Goats usually have beards. Sheep usually don't.

Ok, I get it. So that's a goat

Because he's got a beard.

And that's a sheep. No beard.

We're a herd of sheep and goats.

[Goats and sheep baaing]

I bet I can make that sound.

Want to hear me? Ok. Ahem.

Baa!

[Baa]

Baa!

Zoboo: brothers, they're eating all the grass.

Maybe I should move this.

Goats and sheep love eating grass.

We'll need this grass for the crowned crane,

But we'll get you some snacks.

Goats will eat almost anything--

Including my t-shirt.

Hey!

What are you guys doing?

Oh!

Ha ha ha!

That's what happens when you get in the way

Of a barbados ram.

If we don't get to the snack machine,

The goats and sheep will eat everything we planted!

Uh-oh. Better hurry up, guys.

Martin: to the snack machine.

Ok. Goat food.

Oh, no.

The snack machine's broken.

[Baa]

Maybe we just need a little adjustment.

Zoboo: I hope this works, martin.

Ok.

The snack machine's really broken. Whoa!

The goats and sheep like those plants.

Maybe we could hide the plants

Until we fix the snack machine.

Chris: good idea.

We'll give it a try.

Ok, got it.

Ok.

Martin: there's one.

That grass is safe.

Another one.

Going up.

Got to get that grass before you eat it.

You guys made a mess.

I'll grab it and replant it.

Here you go, chris.

Pass it over. Thanks.

Zoboo: we'll fix the machine.

Then you can eat.

Another one, zob. Here you go, chris.

All right. Going up.

Ok. Back to the snack machine.

Zob, watch the plants. We'll fix the snack machine.

No goats will get up here. It's easy.

Aah!

It's still broken!

Zoboo: chris, martin, come quick!

The goats are here! They found the grass! How did that happen?

Wild goats are great climbers.

They've got broken feet.

Their feet aren't broken.

Goats and sheep have split hooves.

That helps wild goats climb steep cliffs.

Baby dall's sheep that live in the wild

Practice climbing when they're young

So they can get around in the mountains.

Can a baby goat climb up here?

Hi there. Whoa!

Yes, he can.

I can't believe my mind. Goats are incredible.

Chris: we have to fix that snack machine fast.

Zoboo: yeah. We'd better fix that snack machine soon.

The sheep and goats are really hungry.

Watch out for the edge!

Guys! Guys, hurry! Watch it!

Baby goat will fall!

We have to save the kid!

I'll get him!

Oh!yeah!

Oh!oh!

Chris, the kid!

What a leap!

He's ok because baby goats are great leapers.

Male rams aren't always nice to baby goats.

Or to martin.

Remember when that barbados ram butted martin?

Aaah!

You have to give rams space.

Different creatures use horns for different things,

Besides pushing other creatures around.

A moose can use his lid to scratch his foot.

Zoboo: the sheep and goats are still eating the grass.

The snack machine isn't working. Uh-oh.

The grass is almost all gone. They eat a lot.

You're not supposed to eat my tail.

Can't you fix this machine?

Martin: look out!

Whoa! Oof!

Wow. Pointy head. You remind me of noggendrill

From zobooland.

I was leaping along

When I heard my friend noggendrill.

Gooble, let's dance.

Gooble was there, too.

I hopped over. "Hello, gooble.

Hello, noggendrill. What are you doing?"

We're going to dance.

Show me your moves.

Ok. Watch this.

My turn. Step, ball change.

This is great!

How about this move?

Wow. The super-duper lid spin.

Everyone came to see noggendrill's new dance move.

That was amazing, just amazing.

Noggendrill, that was great.

Thanks, zoboo.

Everybody celebrated because of noggendrill's super-duper lid spin.

Do it again, noggendrill!

Yeah, do it again!

Zoboo: the end.

Could you do the super-duper lid spin, too?

Huh? What's that?

[Rumbling]

Sometimes the snack machine is temperamental.

This ought to do it.

[Rumbling stops]

Huh?

I think it's working.

Soon you'll be voky.

You'll have lots of yummy, delicious food.

Zoboo: do you think it'll work? Let's try.

Ready?

[Rumbling]

Uh-oh.

Uh-oh's right!

She's going to blow!

The snack machine's really broken this time!

Whoa! Whoa!

It's raining snacks! My favorite kind of rain.

Come and get it, lids!

It's the goat and sheep's favorite rain, too.

Look at them munch.

They like the snack machine food.

Like I said, goats and sheep will eat almost anything.

That guy loves apples

They really like the corn.

Yeah. These guys are using their lids.

They're pushing each other away to get food.

If you want to eat with sheep,

You need protective headgear like they have.

Good luck.

Those sheep know how to use their heads.

Yep.

That goat's trying to help you.

Good thing I have this helmet on.

They have strong heads!

[Grunting]

Ok, you win.

Whew!

Hey, gooble, let's butt heads.

I don't think so.

These lids are making me feel goatish.

♪ I feel different, not the same ♪

♪ This kind of feeling I can't explain ♪

♪ There's only one thing that I can do ♪

♪ I feel goatish, how about you? ♪

♪ Goatish, I feel goatish ♪

♪ Goatish ♪

♪ I'm a pointy-headed goat, but I feel sheepish, too ♪

♪ Goatish ♪

Guess who's here.

Martin: hey, bradley!

How are you? Come in!

He's with a border collie.

Border collies can learn to round up sheep.

Come on, champ. Come on, bradley.

Want some help getting your goats and sheep?

We fed them for you.

Let's go! All right.

[Laughter]

Bradley, your dog trim!

Hey, trim!

Zoboo: don't forget baby goat. He's here.

Bradley, dont forget this little goat.

It was great hanging out

With goats and sheep all morning.

We still have grass for the african crowned crane.

Yeah. Incoming!

Duck!

It's moonface!

The barn owl...

With a special delivery.

I can't believe all the incredible creatures I saw today.

They all had amazing lids.

Like a banana slug.

Those things that look like horns are called antennae.

Then I saw a luna moth.

Look at those amazing antennae.

A luna moth's antennae help him smell.

A male luna moth can smell a female luna moth

From miles away.

Wow. If I can smell something that far,

I'd be able to smell my pie from...

From farther than here!

Even farther than here!

I could smell my pie from farther than here.

If I were a luna moth,

I'd probably be able to smell my pie from here.

Let's go out into the wild

To see horns, antlers, and other lids.

To the closet.

Sounds like a trip.

♪ They're going to the closet, they're going on a trip ♪

♪ They're going to the closet to grab their stuff and split ♪

Hmm...

[Groaning]

Binoculars! They always come in handy.

See you, zoboo!

♪ They're going on a cool adventure ♪

♪ And they don't know what's in store ♪

♪ They're coming from the closet ♪

♪ And they're headed out the door ♪

Let's find out what those animals are doing with their lids.

We have ours! Ha ha!

Chris, look out for that rock!

What rock? Whoa!

Oh!

Yikes!

Are you ok, chris?

Yeah. My helmet protected my head.

Just like his horns are protecting his.

Pronghorn antelope!

Incredible.

And look at them lid-wrestle.

To find out who's the most powerful male.

They fight but don't hurt each other.

Those horns lock together,

Keeping them from banging heads too hard...

Like my helmet protected my head when I fell.

Lid-wrestling's over, and now everyone can get back to grazing.

Let's ride. Don't forget your lid.

No way!

All right!

Hey!

Whoo! Whoa!

Watch for the branch!

What branch?

Ugh!

You all right?

Yeah, thanks to my lid,

But I do hear a cracking sound.

That's not coming from your head.

It's coming from theirs.

Moose! Moose!

Moose use their antlers to fight for females, just like the pronghorns.

[Moose grunting]

It looks rough, but moose antlers protect their heads

When they fight so no one gets hurt.

Just like my helmet.

Moose are cool and so big...

And getting bigger. He's heading towards us!

Maybe he wants to head-butt us.

We won't stand a chance against his antlers.

Back to animal junction!

I'm right behind you!

Our helmets sure came in handy.

Oh, yeah!

Think our plan worked?

I don't know. Sounds quiet in there. Let's see.

Hey, guys, guess who's here!

All right! All right!

Zoboo: sure you don't want more?

Our plan worked!

How long has it been here?

Ever since you guys left.

He liked the grass?

He ate and ate and then ate some more.

An african crowned crane stomps in the grass

To find insects to eat.

When the insects fly or jump,

The crane catches them with his beak.

He also eats the seeds and tips of the grass.

Zoboo: he ate a lot of seeds earlier.

We've made a new animal friend.

I can't believe my mind.

I've never seen anything like what's on his head.

That's why he's called a crowned crane.

I'm wiggy waxwing! Bawk!

Kratts: [uh-wuk, uh-wuk]

That sounded like the crowned crane.

[Uh-wuk!]

[Uh-wung]

Almost.

[Uh-woe]

Chris and I were on the african savannah.

We saw african crowned cranes.

They flew straight up into the air.

Then we saw why they flew.

A cheetah was on the prowl.

Cheetahs mean danger to cranes, so they flew to another spot.

The cheetah was just passing.

Once the cranes were safe, they had a drink.

Zoboo: he's standing on one leg.

When a crane sleeps, he tucks his head under one wing and stands on one leg.

I can sleep on one leg.

Try it, zob.

It would be easy if I could go to sleep.

Close your eyes, pretend you're asleep,

And stand on one leg as long as you can.

Want to try it, too?

Mangatsika. This is hard for a lemur.

It's easier for a crowned crane.

Whoa! Oof! Ugh...

It's harder than it looks, right?

Yeah. It reminds me of a story.

One time in zobooland, I was leaping along--

Leap, leap, leap, leap, leap--

And I was having so much fun,

I wanted everybody to jump with me.

"Hello, gooble!" I said. "Hello, noggendrill!"

Hello, zoboo.

Hello, zoboo!

Let's jump around!

Jumping. Oh, I'm a great jumper.

I can catch a lot of air. Watch.

Oh! Whoa! Ooh!

I love jumping, too.

Zoboo: noggendrill jumped up,

But he didn't come back down.

Get me down! My lid's stuck!

I'm coming, noggie.

Oh. Oh, thanks, zoboomafooasaurus.

No problem.

Hop on, and we'll jump together.

Zoboo: and that's what we did.

Ready?

Ha ha! The end.

Gooble: did you like my hang time?

Chris: the crane liked your story, zoboo.

I liked today. I loved the kids--

Kids like you, and kids like the goats.

♪ This animal is a friend of mine ♪

♪ From the tip of his nose to his funny behind ♪

♪ All of the friends we met today ♪

♪ Are special in their own way ♪

♪ We've all got different names ♪

♪ But we're really all the same ♪

♪ They jump and swim, crawl, fly, and climb ♪

Creature adventurers know you have to be careful around animals.

Sometimes an animal can get scared of you.

Then she might think she has to defend herself.
