- Hmm.

(Zou laughing)

- It's really lovely to be looking after you

while your mom and dad are shopping, Zou.

So, uh...

enjoying the school... holidays?

- Oh, yeah! Thanks, Uncle Zavier!

I can't wait till Christmas! There's a lot of new stuff in here.

- Yes. A little too much.

And we have to clear the shop soon. We're having some work done.

Isn't that right, dear?

- Yes. New windows, new floor...

So we really do have to sell our festive goods quickly.

(sighing)

- But they're not exactly flying off the shelves.

Even my fake snow hasn't helped.

- We had a class on selling things at school.

Maybe I could help! It'll be fun!

(tweeting)

- It isn't my idea of fun.

I'm going to play with Britney Chantelle.

- You do that, Zinnia.

Now, Zou, what were you thinking we could do?

- Mm

-hmm.

- Maybe the tree would look better by the door.

Then you could see it from the street. What do you think, Aunt Zelda?

- I think that's rather a clever idea.

- Oh, no, Mommy. It'd look better by the window,

over there!

- Zinnia dear, I didn't think you wanted to help.

- I've changed my mind.

- Oh, good!

But why don't we try Zou's idea?

We want the customers to see the tree properly, don't we?

- They can see it properly in the window.

Can't they, Daddy?

- Yes, they can, Zinni

-pops.

Uh, but the door is, uh

-

-

- A good place to try first of all.

- Oh... alright, Mommy.

Hmm?

(tweeting)

(Zou laughing)

- The tree looks lovely there!

- It'd look nicer by the window.

(chiming)

- Hello, Grandpa!

- Hello!

- Hello!

- Hello there.

- I've done the food shopping, so thought I'd come and see how you were all getting on.

(chuckling) Your mom and dad will be along later, Zou.

- Good, but no hurry.

We've moved the tree so people can see it from the street.

- Yes. Yes, it looks good there.

- It was Zou's idea!

I hope it brings in a few more customers.

- I see.

- We don't seem to be selling an awful lot at the moment,

and we need to empty the shop!

we're having some work done soon.

Any ideas gratefully received.

- Well, you could try moving some of your lighting to show off some items better.

- Good idea, Grandpa!

Why don't we move some of the Christmassy things nearer to the door as well?

(tweeting)

- Oh, alright. Let's try that.

It might make the place more festive, as well.

I just hope it helps.

- We moved the stuff around ages ago,

and we've still only sold two cards!

- Come on, you two. Let's put our heads together

and see if we can think of a way to attract more customers.

- Um... Oh! We could give them a drink when they come in!

- Not a bad idea. Shopping's thirsty work.

A warm fruit punch would go down a treat.

- We could give them some nibbles as well.

- Yes. Some fruit slices and carrot sticks. Nice and healthy.

Another good idea. And... how about a raffle?

Let's find some prizes. Hmm.

- Hmm.

This vase would make a really good prize.

- So would this bowl!

- Uh...

those might be a little too expensive to give away,

but you can use this vase from last season.

Any good?

(tweeting)

(Zou): Um...

Yeah.

- Oh, yes!

I've actually got some raffle tickets.

There were some left over from that raffle we held at the school fair last summer.

- Splendid! Let's get started.

There's lots to do.

- Mm. All this food is making me hungry.

(laughing)

- Yes.

Aunt Zelda's done a very good job of slicing the fruit and veg.

(laughter)

(tweeting)

- This tinsel will make it look really pretty.

(Zou laughing)

- Sticky snowflakes for that extra

-festive look.

- Well done, both of you. Very seasonal.

(kids): Mm

-hmm.

(Zou sighing)

- Still no customers.

- Oh, I hope we didn't do all that work for nothing.

- Hmm.

(Zou chuckling)

I know what we can do. Come on, Grandpa.

If customers aren't coming into the shop, we'll go out to them.

- Ah, I see. Good idea, Zou.

- Oh!

(chiming)

- Hello, Mrs. Zolli!

- Hello, Zou.

- Would you care for a little something to eat?

We've got some nice fruit punch, as well!

- Oh! Oh, thank you, Zou.

Mm. Oh, delicious.

- There's lots of new stuff in Zebroutique,

especially for the holiday season. Would you like to take a look?

- Yes, I would.

(tweeting)

My! What a lot of lovely things.

I'll take some of these cards and... and these decorations.

- I'll wrap them for you.

Oh, don't forget your free raffle ticket.

- Oh, thank you!

You never know. It might be my lucky day!

(laughter)

- I thought a spot of festive music would jolly things along!

- Yes! Let's put the speakers near the door.

Then passersby can hear it. They might come in, as well.

- Oh! Splendid idea!

- This might work out very well.

(holiday music playing)

- Hmm.

(tweeting)

- Mm

-hmm.

(kids): Hi!

- Hello!

- Zou!

- Zou! Hello there.

We heard the music and thought we'd better come and see what was going on.

- Zebroutique's full of new stock for the holiday season.

- So we want everyone to come and see what's on sale.

- Would you like some fruit punch? It's free.

- Ah.

Ooh, lovely.

- Oh, yummy!

(chiming)

- Come in, Mr. Zoey!

You too, Zak. There's plenty to see inside.

- Great!

(chiming)

(tweeting)

- Mom, look at these cards!

They're really pretty.

- Oh! They are nice, aren't they?

We'll take some of those, please.

- These'll make great presents for my nephews.

- My word!

Aren't we doing well?

Tell you what.

Let's hold the raffle now while we've got so many customers.

- Good idea.

Uh, hello? Can I have your attention, please?

It's time for our raffle!

Would you do the honours?

- Right

-o.

(exclamations) Uh, the winning ticket is...

...number !

(all): Hmm.

- Oh, !

It's me! Look, Zoroaster! I won! I won!

(laughing)

- Mm. Here's your prize, Zigmund.

- Oh! How exciting!

This will make a lovely present for my Aunt Zinovia. She loves red!

- Oh, how lucky!

Keep shopping, everyone! We need to sell all the holiday stock!

(tweeting)

- Hmm.

I think we did rather well.

- We certainly did!

Well done, everyone!

- It looks as if we've made plenty of room for the workmen.

- They'll be starting as soon as we close for the holiday season.

Thank you.

- It was fun, Aunt Zelda.

- I'm going to open my very own shop when I grow up.

I'll call it Zinnitique!

(laughing)

- You both did a very good job.

- And so did you.

- Yes.

We'd employ all three of you as marketing advisors any day!

- As long as you wait till Zinnia and I finish school.
