- I think badminton's my favourite game.

- Yeah, me too.

(tweeting)

- You won't be able to play without a shuttlecock.

- Oh, no! We forgot it.

- Catch!

(Zou gasping)

Lucky I remembered it.

- Thanks, Dad!

(tweeting)

Oh, Poc, it isn't a bird.

It's a shuttlecock, for playing badminton.

Look.

(tweeting)

(laughter)

(soft piano music)

Oh! We don't usually have music when we play badminton.

- Zou, Elzee.

I'm really sorry, there won't be any badminton today.

The ballet school's had to close down for a couple of weeks.

They needed to make some repairs to the building.

The ballet classes have been moved here.

- Ballet?

(giggling)

- Oh!

Hello, Zou! Hello, Elzee!

We're doing ballet. I'm really good. Look!

(grunting) Whoop!

(giggling) Whee!

(both): Uh...

- Mm...

- Coming along very well, isn't she?

- She certainly is...

a proper little... ballerina.

- Yes! Look at this!

(Poc tweeting)

Ooh!

(giggling)

- Uh... Oh, dear.

Did you come for a game of badminton?

- Yeah.

- I know.

Why don't you join in the ballet class instead?

- Oh, yes!

- Uh...

- Alright. It might be fun.

- It is! It's the best fun ever!

- Oh!

- Uh... Mm.

- Hmm.

Zou, where are we going?

- Oh.

- Hmm.

- I'll just pop next door and tell Zena that Elzee stayed behind to do ballet.

- Okay, Dad.

(tweeting) But I don't know why she did, Poc.

Ballet looks really boring.

(tweeting)

- Zou?

- Hmm.

- I thought you were playing badminton with Elzee.

- So did I, Mom. But badminton's off today, because

-

-

(phone ringing)

- Oh, sorry, Zou.

Hello?

Oh, hello, Zelda.

- Hmm.

- Yes?

A ballet class?

- Hmm. Heh

-heh.

- Yes. Yes, I'm sure Zou would love to.

I'll go and fetch him right now.

Yes. Bye, Zelda. See you in a bit.

Zou, that was your... Hmm.

Zou?

(sighing)

Bizou, I wish you wouldn't leave your stuff...

Bizou?

Uh...

(Zou giggling)

Oh, there you are, Bizou. I've just had your aunt Zelda on the phone.

If we hurry, we can just get to the sports hall in time for

-

-

- Sorry, Mom. I can't go. I'm helping Grandma with her baking.

- But, Zou, you've only just arrived.

And I'm about to put the cake in the oven.

- Hmm.

- Well, that's settled, then. I'll just get my coat.

(groaning)

Zou? Hmm.

(sighing)

Uh... where's Zou?

- Oh, I don't know. He was here a moment ago.

- But he'll miss the ballet class.

- Ballet?

(laughing)

- Bizou?

Are you there?

(sighing) Hmm.

Hmm.

Oh, don't be silly. He's not gonna be in there.

Hmm.

(whistling)

Hmm.

- Hello, dear. Looking for something?

- Yes. Zou.

Zelda phoned to ask whether Zou would like to join in Zinnia's ballet class.

So I said I'd take him. But I can't find him anywhere. You haven't seen him, have you?

- No. I've been next door. But I'm pretty sure he wouldn't want to do ballet.

I was there when Zinnia asked him to join the class.

He dragged me away pretty quickly.

Said ballet was boring!

- Oh, silly me!

I should've asked him whether he wanted to go.

I'd better tell him he doesn't have to.

Oh. Uh, any ideas where he might be?

- You could try the garage. I think I heard someone in there on my way back.

- Of course! Grandpa!

- That's it, Zou. Hold it steady while I tighten this screw here.

- Ah! Grandpa, Zou isn't here, is he?

- Yes, he's, uh...

Uh, could you pass me that spanner just over there?

- Oh... this one?

- That's the one.

Oh.

- What is it?

- Ah, my little helper.

He's gone.

- Oh, Bizou!

- Hmm. Ah.

(knocking)

- Come in.

- Hello, Nanna.

Um... can I help with anything?

- I don't know, Zou. Like what?

- Oh... I don't know. Anything?

(tweeting)

- Zou, is something the matter?

- No. It's just... Hmm.

I was going to play badminton with Elzee,

and there was this ballet class instead.

And they asked me to join in, but ballet's boring and

-

-

- Ballet? Boring?

- Yes. Like this.

There seems to be a lot of standing around and moving your legs slowly.

At least with badminton, you move around a lot more.

- Uh, Zou, bring me that book, would you?

(tweeting)

That's it. Yeah.

I was once great friends with a very famous ballet dancer,

the Great Zininsky. Ooh, yes.

He certainly "moved about" a bit.

(laughing)

This is Zininsky in his most famous role,

L'Aprés

-midi d'une Zebre.

- Ah! Wow!

(tweeting)

- Ho

-ho!

Zininsky was a wonderful dancer!

He was the talk of the town all those years ago.

- Whoa! He looks really strong and... and...

(tweeting)

- Graceful?

Athletic?

Oh! He was.

Oh, my,

he was! Oh.

(Poc tweeting)

- Hmm.

(giggling)

- You're not still looking for him, are you?

I wonder where he's got to.

- Hmm.

(piano music)

Nanna's apartment's about the only place I haven't looked.

(knocking)

- Okay. Oh, come in!

That's right, Zou.

Keep those arms stretched; lift your head a little higher.

Uh, lovely!

(tweeting)

- Oh!

(laughing)

(laughing)

- Excellent, Zou! We'll make a dancer of you yet.

- Hmm.

Dad told me that... He said you thought ballet was boring.

- No, Mom. Ballet's brilliant! Can I go to the class after all?

- It's a bit late for that now, Zou, but next week

-

-

- Okay. Let's do some more practice, Nanna.

- Of course. And one,

and two and feet together and hup and hup!

(Mom laughing)

- Ah...

(piano music)

- Zinnia's a natural little ballet dancer.

She gets it from me, you know.

Oh!

- Zou's quite good too.

(tweeting)

(exclaiming)

- Zou, you've been practicing!

- Yes, with Nanna.

(Zinnia gasping)

She's a really good teacher.

- Oh. Mwah!

- Can you teach me how to do that too, Nanna?

- Of course!

- Oh!

- See, Zinnia? The training always starts with a big kiss from Nanna.
