♪ A little leaping lemur who liked to bounce and play ♪

♪ They followed their new bouncing friend ♪

♪ Not knowing where this adventure would end ♪

♪ The animals were headed just around the bend ♪

♪ Where are they going? I don't know ♪

♪ How do we get there? Come on, let's go ♪

I thought we'd never make it.

We made it!

These bags contain building material.

Chris had a great idea.

Today we're going to build something special.

A dinosaur! You want to help?

Great!

But first, let's call zoboo.

Zoboo!

Martin: zoboomafoo!

What kind of animals did you see out there?

Hey, zoboo!

Whoa! He almost caught that bug.

You know zoboo.

First he eats, then he talks.

Ha ha!

Hey, zoboo.

What will I get zob? I know!

But for you and zoboo, it's a surprise.

Whoo hoo hoo!

Zoboo! Banana!

There you go. We all love bananas.

Ok. One more little piece. There.

[Burps]

Uh-oh!

Zoboomafoo!

Wow!

I love bananas!

What's this? It's something giant.

Maybe it's a bunch of little things.

It's little things we'll put together

And make into a big thing.

We're building...

A dinosaur!

A dinosaur. A dinosaur!

What's a dinosaur?

A creature that lived millions of years ago.

No one's ever seen a real dinosaur.

I saw one. I saw one today.

Who could it be?

♪ Who could it be

Whoo ha!

♪ This animal who I did see? ♪

♪ Can you help me guess this mystery? ♪

Zoboo: she looked like a head and a tail.

Wait. It was more like a long body with short legs.

♪ Who could it be

♪ This animal who I did see?

♪ Man-gat-sika

♪ Mangatsika animal ♪

She had sharp teeth-- sharp like her claws.

Does that make her a dinosaur?

♪ Hey, hey, hey, hey! ♪

♪ Who could it be

♪ This animal who I did see?

♪ Can you help me guess this mystery?

She must be a dinosaur.

A dinosaur!

What are you talking about?

Dinosaurs are extinct.

Eggs stink?

Extinct. That means that dinosaurs aren't around anymore.

You couldn't have seen a dinosaur.

Or could he?

Mangatsika! Mystery animal's here.

Oh! A dinosaur!

A monitor lizard!

That is one big lizard,

But it's a lizard, not a dinosaur.

A lizard!

A monitor lizard.

Oh. Hello, monster lizard.

Monitor lizard.

Monitor lizard.

I like monitor lizard's body.

Look how long and snaky it is.

Mangatsika! Her legs are short!

But they're strong. Those legs help her dig.

Because she lives underground.

She's not a baby dinosaur?

She's not a dinosaur.

She's a lizard.

She looks like a dinosaur.

She reminds me of a dinosaur that walked on legs--

Brontosaurus!

Yeah.

Who's brontosaurus?

Martin: brontosaurus was a very peaceful dinosaur.

She was as tall as houses. She ate plants.

Let's start building our dinosaur,

One that looks like brontosaurus.

One dinosaur coming up.

All right! Let's put these bones together.

Ok. There we go.

Whoo!

Yeah! There.

Oh, yeah!

Vertebrae go up here.

This is one long neck.

We'll have to caulk these.

Feel a little caulky?

Yeah!

Right here, chris?

That is one good-looking dinosaur.

We kratt brothers build them to last.

[Rumbling]

Uh-oh!

[Coughing]

Let's build it again.

Rebuild! Rebuild!

Yeah!

All right!

Both: they did it!

Zoboo: monitor lizard is sticking her tongue out at me.

Chris: she does that when she's looking for food.

She sees with her tongue?

No. Like us, a monitor lizard tastes with her tongue,

Except a monitor lizard can taste the air.

That's how she finds food,

Like when you smell the air when you're looking for cake.

Girl: it smells like chocolate cake!

I'm going to build my own dinosaur.

Building a dinosaur!

Building a dinosaur! Building a dinosaur!

Building a dinosaur!

Huh. All done.

I was leaping along--

Leap, leap, leap, leap, leap, leap, leap.

[Rumbling]

The ground shook. I jumped into a tree to see better.

It was zoboomafooasaurus. She said...

Do you want to play with me?

And I said, "sure," and leapt onto her nose.

She threw me into the air!

I slid down her back.

We had so much fun, we did it again!

We played dinosaur slide all day long.

Ha ha!

The end.

Monitor lizards have incredibly sharp teeth.

That helps her eat her main meal--meat.

Having those teeth helps when other monitor lizards want that meat.

I bet dinosaurs had sharp teeth.

Tyrannosaurus rex had really sharp teeth.

She was a meat-eater.

If tyrannosaurus rex were here,

Her head would be sticking out the roof!

She was one tall dinosaur!

[Roaring]

Her huge teeth and jaws made her

One of the most powerful dinosaurs.

Hey, our dinosaur needs teeth.

All set!

Here come the teeth.

Whoa!

No!

Look out for the dinosaur!

Oh!

Oh!

Uh-oh!

Oh...

We'll have to...

Both: rebuild it.

Rebuild! Rebuild!

They like to rebuild it more than anything.

We built it again.

They did it! They did it!

Zoboo: you'll need these teeth.

You're right.

Heads up, martin.

Coming at you.

All right! The last tooth.

Here you go.

All right!

Wow.

Martin, zoboo, look at this guy.

A tortoise just stopped by.

Oh!

He's hard.

His hard shell protects him.

My armor's like a hard shell, too.

Nothing can get me!

[Laughing]

Except maybe a monkey.

Having armor doesn't make you totally safe.

Your armor looks heavy.

A turtle's shell is pretty heavy,

But when a crocodile is eyeing you,

A shell is good to have.

And for a little extra protection,

Head for the water.

She's safe for now.

This tortoise reminds me of a dinosaur

With lots of armor-- ankylosaurus.

Ankle is sore-us?

Martin: she was the most heavily armored dinosaurs.

More than you, martin? Yeah.

Ankylosaurus had the best protection. Going.

Spikes. I love them!

They better not forget about triceratops.

Martin: triceratops had big horns on his face

And a huge head shield for protection.

Let's put more stuff on the dinosaur.

A tail like ankylosaurus.

I know why it's called ankylosaurus.

Your ankle would be sore if he hit you with his tail.

Whoa!

There we go.

Yeah.

Perfect!

Chris: this is one cool dinosaur.

Zoboo: martin? Chris?

Is this a dinosaur?

He's an iguana-- a big one.

Iguanas are great tree climbers.

See his sharp claws?

They dig into the bark when he climbs trees,

A good place to be when bigger iguanas are fighting below.

I like the sharp claws on his back.

They're not really claws.

These are spines.

Spines?

Wow!

This iguana reminds me of a dinosaur-- stegosaurus!

Stegosaurus had huge plates on her back.

That helped protect her from enemies.

When dinosaurs were alive,

People weren't around then,

Not even cavemen.

[Roaring]

Grrr!

[Splash]

Ugga booga booga!

That's caveman for, "look! A duck!"

Ducks and geese have bills with sharp edges

For grinding water plants.

A dinosaur had a bill a like a duck.

The duckbill dinosaur?

Yes! Duckbill dinosaurs had bills like ducks.

They also had hundreds of teeth

For chewing plants they ate.

My brother is taking this caveman thing too far.

Zoboo: let's put a duck bill on our dinosaur.

Yeah!

And plates on his back like stegosaurus.

Zoboo: whoa!

Careful, martin.

The duck bill.

And back plates.

There you go. The lower bill.

Awesome!

Hey! Thanks, zob.

You're welcome.

The final step-- putting on the skin.

Martin: what color were dinosaurs?

Maybe as bright as a chameleon.

Well, ours will!

Oh!

[Laughing]

Ah!

Oop!

[Laughing]

Let me put some back.

Unbelievable!

It's finished.

It's--it's--

Zoboo: a martinandchrisasaurus.

Yeah!

One cool dinosaur.

♪ I feel different, not the same ♪

♪ This kind of feeling I can't explain ♪

♪ There's only one thing that I can do ♪

♪ I feel dinosaurish, how about you? ♪

♪ Dinosaurish

♪ Dino-dino-dinosaurish

[Growling]

♪ D-d-dinosaurish

♪ I'm a ground-shaking giant

♪ I'm a dinosaur!

[Quacking]

[Trumpeting]

[Snorting]

Dinosaurish!

How come dinosaurs aren't around anymore?

They're extinct. Dinosaurs d*ed out millions of years ago.

Before people.

I wish I could have seen one.

But my friend duck is still around,

Tortoise is still around,

And iguana is still around,

And monitor lizard is still around.

But he's going. Bye, monitor lizard.

See you!

Incoming.

Duck!

But she's not a duck.

She's not?

She's a lanner falcon.

Birds were around when dinosaurs were around.

Oh, bird, you've seen dinosaurs?

Not her. Other birds were around during the time of the dinosaur.

She brought a message from jackie.

Hi. We're looking at insects.

Whatever's inside the hula-hoop tells us what lives here.

We look on leaves, flowers, in the air, and in the soil.

Look what I found! It's an owl pellet.

After an owl eats a mouse, she spits up the fur and bones.

It's normal for an owl.

If you break it open, you can find bones.

This is bone from the mouse the owl ate.

I'll go to the royal ontario museum to see more bones.

Let's go search for dinosaur bones!

To the closet!

♪ They're going to the closet ♪

♪ They're going on a trip ♪

Whose turn is it to open the closet?

I don't remember.

Let's flip for it.

Great idea.

Whoa!

I have what we need to dig for dinosaurs.

Time to travel like birds.

Let's fly!

This looks like a great area to find dinosaur fossils.

Why don't we start digging down there?

Yeah. Going down! Whoo hoo!

Imagine this place full of dinosaurs.

That's what it was like millions of years ago.

It looked pretty different then.

It must have been amazing, and I bet the ground shook.

[Rumbling]

[Growling]

Sadly, all of the dinosaurs are dead,

So we're looking for dinosaur fossils.

Fossils are the remains of creatures that used to be alive.

Could this be a fossil?

Could be.

Let's dig here.

Did you know that most dinosaur bones haven't been found

By dinosaur scientists, but by adventurers?

Lots of dinosaur fossils have been found by kids.

How are you diggers doing?

Good.

Good.

What's your favorite dinosaur?

A raptor.

Great!

Are you thinking what I'm thinking?

This could be from a dinosaur.

This must be from a dinosaur.

I think that this is a dinosaur tooth!

Wow!

It's huge! It's as long as a steak Kn*fe.

Let's take this to the museum

And see which dinosaur this tooth belongs to.

Fossils are very easily broken,

So we have to wrap it up.

Great! Perfect.

Ok. Hold it. I'll grab the stuff.

Hey, guys!

Jackie, how you doing?

Look! We found a dinosaur fossil.

It's a tooth.

I can't believe it!

Whose tooth is it?

Let's find out!

Martin: ahh. Maybe this guy.

Wow! A t. Rex!

Chris: a little to the right, martin.

Steady. Ok.

It matches!

We found a tyrannosaurus rex tooth.

Jackie, it fits!

Yes!

Yeah!

All right!

[Growling]

We better get back to animal junction.

[Zoboo murmuring]

Something's going on.

Do you want to find out what?

Zoboo: do you always move your neck like that?

Ha ha! Ooh! Ooh! That tickles.

Ha ha ha!

Zoboo, it's an emu!

An "e-me" what?

An "e-mu."

He's a beautiful emu.

Emus remind me of long-neck dinosaurs.

He looks like a brontosaurus with his long neck.

Whoa! He likes the brontosaurus.

Yeah!

Look. An emu has teeny-tiny little wings

With a claw on the end.

See it?

He has an amazing beak.

Yeah. Look at the nostrils in his beak.

Some scientists think that birds are living dinosaurs.

How can a bird be a dinosaur?

Some bird bones are shaped like dinosaur bone fossils.

Hatched from eggs just like birds do.

This is a dinosaur egg.

Whoa!

Look out for the egg!

Whoa!

Whoa! Whoa!

Nice catch, chris!

Ooh!

Nice splash.

Look, martin. It didn't break.

Dinosaurs must be amazing

If they have eggs that don't break.

This is a fossil dinosaur egg.

That's what a dinosaur egg looks like?

A baby dinosaur would have hatched from it.

Hey! That reminds me.

Look at this.

Hoo hoo ha!

What are you doing?

Helping to hatch.

I'm sitting on huge eggs.

They're emu eggs.

Yeah. I'm keeping them

Warm, warm, warm,

So they'll hatch, hatch, hatch.

Oh! Whoa! Hey!

Whoa! Uh!

They're hatching!

The beak cracks through the egg.

Then the chick pops out.

Way to go, emus!

They did it!

They hatched, just like one of my friends in zobooland.

I was leap, leap, leaping along--

Leap, leap, leap, leap, leap--

When I landed on a huge rock.

It wasn't a rock. It was an egg.

It cracked! My mind got a great idea.

I could fix the egg with tree sap.

I got some and put it on the egg,

But the egg kept cracking

And cracking and--whoa!

[Cracking]

A baby zoboomafooasaurus!

Mommy?

I'm not your mommy!

Will you help me find my mommy?

We went to find his mommy.

Baby zoboomafooasaurus kept saying...

Where is she?

Where's my mommy?

Until suddenly--oof!

I hit a huge leg.

Oh!

Here's your mom.

Mommy!

Baby!

So we hopped on board and had a nice ride home.

The end.

Martin: that zoboomafooasaurus was one giant dinosaur!

And emu is one of the biggest birds in the world.

♪ From the tip of his nose to his funny behind ♪

♪ All the friends that we met today ♪

♪ Are special in their own way ♪
