- Oh, hi!

I am so glad you're here! - [barks]

- Blue and I are playing...

detective! - [barks]

- Do you want to be a detective too?

Great! - [barks]

- We can use our magnifying glass.

Now all we need is a mystery.

- MR. SALT: [gasps]

It's missing!

Missing!

- Missing? - [barks]

- Come on!

- Oh no. - Oh.

- [barks] - What happened, Mr. Salt?

- Hmm, I made a delicious blueberry pie

like this one, voila!

And then I put it on the windowsill to cool,

like this, voila.

And then I went to get another pie

from the table, like this.

And when I went back to the window

the pie was missing, like this, voil--

Ahh!

Now my second pie is gone too!

Oh!

- ♪

- This is exactly what happened before.

Oh no!

- [barks]

- Where did Mr. Salt's pies go?

We have a mystery!

The mystery of the missing pies.

But how will we solve it? - [barks]

[barking melody]

- Oh, detective.

We'll play Blue's Clues to figure out

where Mr. Salt's pies went!

♪ Because it's a really great game ♪♪

Yes!

Now remember, Blue's paw print will be on the clues.

Pawprint, did you move Mr. Salt's pies?

- [bell tinkling]

- Okay, you're free to go.

Hmm, you know what we need to play Blue's Clues?

Our handy, dandy? - CHILDREN: Notebook!

- Notebook! Right! - [bell dinging]

- You know, I can tell I'm really gonna need

your help today to figure out

where Mr. Salt's pies went.

Detective, will you help me?

You will? Great!

To play Blue's Clues we got to find a...

- CHILDREN: Paw print!

- Right, a paw print, because that's our first...

- CHILDREN: Clue!

- Yeah, a clue!

And we put it in our...

- CHILDREN: Notebook!

- ♪ Put it in our notebook ♪

♪ Because they're who's clues ♪

- CHILDREN AND JOSH: ♪ Blue's Clues

- ♪ We got to find another paw print ♪

♪ Because that's the second clue ♪

- ♪ We gotta find the last paw print ♪

♪ That's the third clue

Okay, if we're gonna figure out where the pies went,

we should start by looking where the pies went missing.

To the kitchen!

- Hello, Josh!

- Oh, hey, Mrs. Pepper.

We got to run, we've got a mystery to solve.

- Bye-bye!

- ♪

- Okay, now let's take a closer look.

- CHILD: A clue!

- JOSH: Oh, there's a clue!

Where?

- CHILD: On the grass!

- JOSH: Oh, there it is!

This grass is evidence and our first clue.

We need to put this clue in our handy, dandy...

- CHILDREN: Notebook! - Notebook!

- [bell dinging] - Right.

[humming]

Okay so, oh, for this green clue

I think I'll use my green crayon.

So, grass.

We'll draw some lines like this.

There, grass.

So our first clue is grass.

So where could Mr. Salt's pies have gone with grass?

[gasps] Good thinking!

But I think we need to find two more clues

just to be sure.

- MR. SALT: [sighs]

Where, oh, where could my pies be?!

- Mr. Salt, was there anyone else in the kitchen

when your first pie went missing?

- [barks]

- Hm, yes!

- [barks]

- Someone in these photos was in the kitchen.

- ♪

- Hmm.

Oh, and uh, do you remember anything else?

- Hmm, whoever was in the kitchen was taller than me!

- JOSH: Magenta, Tickety Tock, Slippery Soap,

or Cinnamon?

Who's taller than Mr. Salt?

- CHILD: Magenta, Tickety Tock, and Slippery Soap!

- BLUE: [barking]

- Yeah!

Magenta, Tickety Tock, and Slippery Soap

are the only ones taller than Mr. Salt.

So Cinnamon must not have been in the kitchen.

Interesting.

Mr. Salt, do you remember anything else

about who you saw?

- Ooh!

I remember seeing the color pink!

- Oh! That's great information. - [barks]

- So, Magenta, Tickety Tock, Slippery Soap?

Who is pink?

- CHILD: Magenta and Tickety!

- BLUE: [barking]

- Yes!

Magenta and Tickety are pink!

So Slippery Soap could not have been in the kitchen.

- [barks]

- Do you remember anything else?

- I remember bells!

I heard bells!

- That's really helpful!

- [barks]

- JOSH: Which of our friends has bells?

- CHILD: Tickety!

- BLUE: [barking]

- Yes, Tickety has bells!

- [barks]

- Maybe she knows what happened to the pies.

- [barks]

- Hi, Josh!

Uh, Tickety, were you in the kitchen earlier today?

- Yup, sure was!

- I see, and did you happen to move a pie

while you were in there?

- No, but I did move this blanket.

Mrs. Pepper asked me to bring it to her.

- CHILDREN: A clue, a clue!

- You found a clue?

Where?

- CHILD: There! On the blanket!

- Good detective work.

Tickety, you're free to go.

- Okay, Detective Josh!

- Hey, we need to put this clue in our handy, dandy...

- CHILDREN: Notebook! - Notebook!

- [bell dinging] - Right.

[humming] Okay, so...

a blanket.

We'll draw a big square...

and then some lines this way,

and more lines the other way.

There, a blanket.

So, ew, what was our first clue?

- CHILDREN: Grass!

- Yeah, grass!

And now we have a blanket.

So where could Mr. Salt's pies have gone

with grass and a blanket?

[gasps]

Interesting, Detective.

But let's find our last clue just to be sure.

- MAILBOX: ♪ Mail time, mail time, mail time ♪

♪ Mail time

- The mail's here! - MAILBOX: ♪ Mail time

- ♪ Here's the mail it never fails ♪

♪ It makes me want to wag my tail ♪

♪ When it comes, I want to wail mail ♪♪

- [barks]

- ♪

- Psst, Josh, I have a mystery email

for you today.

- Oh.

we'll find our next clue!

- Ah, well let's give it a try.

- JOSH: [grunting]

- I'm not sure if this is where I saw the clue.

- Well, let's listen for the ducks quacking and water.

- ♪

- What do you hear?

- CHILDREN: Music and clapping!

- Yeah! [gasps] Music and clapping!

- ♪

- It's a gopher dance party! - [barks]

- Yup, I my gopher groove on earlier.

- ♪

so is this where Gopher saw the clue?

- No worries, I've got lots more tunnels.

- Hm, I did dig a tunnel somewhere else, follow me.

- What do you hear?

I need my farm-fresh cucumbers, you know?

- Oh yeah, this was definitely the spot.

We'll draw an oval,

then a big semicircle for the bottom

and then a handle on top.

There, a basket.

That was our last clue.

Wait, we have all three clues!

We're ready to sit in our...

- CHILDREN: Thinking chair!

- Thinking chair! Right, come on!

- ♪

- [barks melody]

- ♪

- Okay, now that we're in our thinking chair,

let's think. - [bell dinging]

- So, we're trying to figure out

where Mr. Salt's pies went.

And our clues are-- [clears throat]--

grass,

a blanket.

Aw, it's cozy.

And a basket.

Hmm, so where did Mr. Salt's pies go

with grass, a blanket, and a basket?

Oh, oh, oh!

What if the pies are in a basket

flying over some grass on a magical blanket?

- CHILD: No!

[laughing]

- [barks]

- Oh, yeah that doesn't make any sense.

Well, what if the blanket was on the grass?

Yeah, yeah!

And the basket was on the blanket.

What does that look like?

Hmm.

- CHILDREN: A picnic!

- A picnic?

[gasps] Is that it, Blue?

Can we find Mr. Salt's pies at a picnic outside?

- [barks]

so I kept bringing them to the picnic!
