carried Along by the wind

hey what's going on where's all the

wind shines because today is an easy

breezy day

oh hopefully there's nothing I like

better than a nice breezy day

here you are PJ you got it till the just

right so I look cool yeah okay

wow did you see that wind it took the

hat right off my head well we saw your

happy Jane but we didn't see the wind in

fact no one ever really sees the wind oh

why not wind is just air that's moving

and we can't see the air even though

it's all around us but we can breathe

the air come on everybody

and we can feel here too when I blow I

can feel air on my fingers me too yeah

and even though we can't see the wind we

can see what happens when the wind blows

would anyone like to see

are you sure

okay then let's take a look at the

adventure screen

when air moves quickly we call it wind

it makes Flags fluff

and it makes kites fly

wow that was neat oh look at the size of

that one better hold on to those strings

the wind can be gentle or the wind can

be very strong

if the wind can help

us dry laundry on a clothesline but

that's what my grandmother does

it or it can turn a windmill well look

at all those windmills

that one looks like your pinwheel Barney

oh it sure does the wind can also push

sailboats across the water I'd love to

go sailing

or the winds can carry balloons through

the sky wow

oh just look around every day and

everywhere you'll see lots of things

happening because of wonderful wind

I'm gonna tell you something good about

to win

the thing I like about the wind is that

it Blow the nuts out of your trees

that is good I'll see you later

where does the wind come from and why

does it go soft they're hard and why

does it well sometimes and not others

why is the grass so green

why is the sky so blue

and why does the cow say moose

around and wonder why about so many

we just wanna know why why why why

what do the clouds keep rolling by

and how do the burns boys

they help you learn all sorts of things

I know that wind is air that's moving

but what makes the air move let's see if

you can guess hit something up in the

sky that's round and warm and very

bright

the sun

the sun warms up the air and when the

air gets warm it starts moving around

well I've just come from Chicago the

windy city where I was watching a

baseball game we could tell good catch

Stella well thank you you know I could

have been Stella the shortstop but I

decided I'd be a Storyteller instead oh

you're glad that's why I'm here I

thought I heard someone say something

about the wind

fun and that reminded me of a story

but I'm gonna need some help from Curtis

and and Ashley to tell it okay okay

Once Upon a Time oh I just love stories

that start like this the sun and the

wind were having an argument way up in

the sky I'm stronger than you are no I'm

stronger than you are I don't think so I

know so it was the same argument they

always had which one was strongest the

sun one wind I'm so strong I make Leaves

grow on the trees well I'm so strong

that every fall I blow the leaves away

let's have a contest to settle this one

cent for all all right what shall we do

see that little old man

ah what a nice day for our walk

whichever one of us can get the coat off

the little old man will be the winner

get his coat off that'll be easy watch

the heart of the wind blew the tighter

the little old man held his coat

Touched the little old man with a ray of

nice warm sunshine

oh that's much better I'm not cold at

all now in fact

I'm feeling a little bit hot I guess I

better take my coat off and that's just

what he did

you know Stella's story about the wind

and Sun having a contest gives me a

great idea what is it we can have a

contest too to see who can come up with

a bad winning game

oh I like that you know I've heard of an

earful music but that's ridiculous

gee that's funny Robert said we should

come to the playground for some windy

fun but I don't see him me neither where

could he be

up here

I'm going to let the winds carry these

Bubbles and you can try to catch them

well Robert is blowing bubbles I'll be

blowing this

I feel like I just had a bubble bath oh

it was fun but now Bonnie and some of

the children have gone inside now

what sort of windy game could they

possibly play in the classroom

I'm starting to like this we

what sort of game did you think of we're

having sailboat races and we made the

cell box ourselves for the sale we take

the piece of paper to a plastic straw

then we took a plastic dish and a milk

carton and stuck some clay in the bottom

then we push the straw into the clay and

we've got a sailboat now all we need is

wind this sounds like a job

how are you going to make your fan chip

thinking of outlining it and then I'm

going to use some sticks and then I'll

put them right here

how about you Curtis I'm folding this

fan back and forth

look at all the different colors you're

using well you're both doing a great job

we're not quite sure

your idea for a game BJ well it sure is

see we were talking about how air moves

you don't have to have wings to fly

there are other ways too aren't there

Ashley well in a book I was reading it

showed another way to fly is in a hot

air balloon the hot air inside the

balloon makes you go up and then the

wind carries it across the sky

but I guess we can't do that

oh I don't know about that we might be

able to if we just use a little

imagination

Never End here's what we did today

we enjoyed an easy breezy day

we learned that wind is just moving air

and that air starts moving when it's

heated by the sun you can't see the wind

but you can see things moved by the wind

like bubbles bubbles

and we had lots of fun when we rode the

wind in hot air balloons oh that was

pandas

well I just love to spend a breezy day

with friends don't you

and remember I love you
