Tina you look just beautiful

but why are you dressed up like a bee

because today in school I get report on

bees some kids thought bees are bad but

they're not except when they sting you

can you tell me some things about bees

sure zombies live in a beehive and the

mother bee is called the queen and

zombies make honey honey oh I just love

honey it's sweet just like you

Tina taught our class lots of things

about bees they're really neat Moss bugs

and insects are neat once you learn

about them oh gosh Tina it sounds like

you must know a lot about bugs well I

kind of do in fact I just love bugs and

learning all about them you know there's

lots of different bugs all around us all

the time you're right Tina we do share

our world with lots of interesting bugs

and insects but Barney sometimes other

kids tease me and say girl shouldn't

like bags Tina that's just silly girls

and boys can like bugs right right and

we can all learn things from Bugs I know

there's really neat

this story is called the grasshopper and

the Ant gee it sounds good once upon a

time there lived a little ant who worked

hard every day carrying food to his

anfield and there was a grasshopper who

loved to dance and play all day when the

hot days of summer came the ant was

still working in the grasshopper said

hey quit working so hard come have some

fun with me but the aunt said no I'm

gathering food for the winter and so

should you so the grasshopper said I'll

do my work another day right now I'm

going to play and play When the cool

days of fall came the ant was still

working and the grasshopper said hey

ain't working so hard come have some fun

with me but the ant said no I'm

gathering food for the winter and so

should you but the grasshopper said

then the cold Winds of Winter came there

was ice and snow and no food for the

grasshopper I'm cold and I'm hungry so

we hopped over to the ant hill and

called it here and

got lots of food to eat may I have some

but the ant stuck his head out and said

you didn't work a single day all you did

was Play and play I'll share a little

bit with you but that is all that I can

do

so the grasshopper was hungry and cold

all winter long and the moral this story

is when you've got work to do hop to it

it's some kind of a puzzle it's a

special puzzle that tells the story of a

caterpillar see it starts off as a

little egg on a leaf thin the hungry

baby caterpillar comes out and starts to

eat

and pretty soon you have a great big

caterpillar just like the caterpillar we

were pretending to be

and then the caterpillar makes a cocoon

and changes while it's inside and when

it comes out again

it's a butterfly caterpillars grow up to

be butterflies oh

eyes use your imaginations and then add

the itsy bitsy spider went up the water

spout down came the rain and washed the

spider out out came the Sun and dried up

Michael you really gave us a big

surprise with that spider puppet I don't

want to scare anyone I was only joking

oh we know and don't worry I wasn't

spiders just come to the pretend Center

Muffet good I'm pretending to be Little

with your spider but it won't work

I'm not afraid of spiders especially

little toy spiders

told him to try to scare me and they did

besides it was just a toy spider yeah I

was getting some old toy bugs

insects are okay but I don't really like

flies I don't either that's one of the

reasons that I do like spiders you do

yes because real spiders help people by

eating flies and other bugs that we

don't want in our homes or Gardens and

most spiders won't bother you if you

don't bother them oh don't worry I won't

bother them

what else can you tell us about spiders

we're gonna see

all spiders have eight legs one two

that's a lot and spiders don't have two

eyes like we do they have lots of eyes

to see with it's a good thing they don't

need glasses

and some spiders make a really pretty

spiderweb but they used to catch their

food I never thought about spider whips

being pretty but I guess they are hey

that gives me a good idea why don't we

make some spider webs and spiders too

that does sound like fun and I've got

everything you need

you learn about them but you know

make-believe spiders

pass them down here because I think my

spider is very oh let me guess my spider

doesn't have enough if this is a good

dinner for a spider then I sure am glad

the bugs do make good food for lots of

animals like birds and turtles and frogs

here's what we did today

we looked at some of the little

creatures that share our big world bugs

and insects we learned about bees who

make yummy honey

and Michael told us about a hard-working

Aunt who taught us to do our work before

we play

we even saw how caterpillars can grow up

to be beautiful butterflies

and you know what I think that you're

beautiful already and I love you
