we call a dinosaur

barney's sensation are big and small

they come from lots of places after

school they need to play and sing with

happy faces barney shows us lots of

things like how to play pretend

abcs and

i'm so glad to see you

my family just moved here and this is my

first day at my new school

and i don't know anybody that's okay

tasha sometimes when you're new at

school it's hard to join in but meeting

new friends can make everything better

come on i'll introduce you to some of my

other friends but maybe they won't like

me oh i think they'll love meeting you

i have a new friend i want you to meet

this is tasha today was her first day at

school

tasha this is michael hi tasha hi and

hi it's fun to have a new friend i'm

glad we're in the same class me too

michael and i are finishing a picture

we're making together wanna see it sure

i wonder what it is

i made this picture of the playground

outside that's awesome and there's a

barney i made to put on michael's

background oh what a terrific picture we

call it barney and the playground i

can't wait to put it in my room at home

wait a minute i was gonna take it home

and show it to my brothers no

i get to keep the picture i did more

work on it but the barney i made was the

most important part of the picture

oh no barney they're upset with each

other i know let's sing a song about

friends maybe that will help them to get

back together

the paper and drawing around your bodies

then we'll draw faces and close on the

pictures

i'm going to send my picture to my best

friend from my old school i sent

pictures to friends too you know i've

got a cousin who lives in another city

and she's my pen pal pen pal what's a

pen pal we stay friends by writing

letters to each other with our pens so

we're pin pals oh now i get it i think

all of our pictures look great

it takes two people to do these pictures

and there's something nice about drawing

with friends what there are more people

to help clean up

it's called the lion and the mouse

michael would you and derek like to act

out the story while i read that'll make

always packs a healthy snack for after

school would you like some grapes

and now ladies our after-school

storytime players present the lion and

the mouse

once upon a time there was a mighty lion

who ruled the jungle

his name was leo

i'm leo the lion king of the jungle oh

goodness

all the animals would run away from leo

because he was so big and strong

one day leo caught a little mouse

[Music]

now i've got you you little mouse and

you're gonna be my lunch

oh please mr line a peanut butter and

jelly sandwich will be so much better if

you let me go i'll be your friend

forever

what could a little mouse like you do

for me

leo the lion

king of the jungle but the lion decided

to let the little mouse go okay i'll let

you go you're too small anyways thank

you mr line someday i'll save you too

because i'm your friend

what happened next barney well let's

read on and we'll see

then one day leo the lion stepped in a

hunter's trap

and the net fell on him

leo was trapped in the net and couldn't

get out oh no

i'm trapped just then the little mouse

appeared

i'll get you out mr lyon how could a

little mouse like you get a big net like

this off of me

the tiny mouse used his sharp teeth to

chew a hole in the net so leo could get

out

you saved my life little mouse i'll

always be your friend and protect you

forever so leo the lion and the little

mouse became good friends and they lived

happily ever after the end

that's a great story michael and derek

did good

yeah

that story makes me think of all the

animal friends we have

i have a favorite animal friend who

lives with me

see if you can guess what he is okay

i know tasha you're pretending to be a

kitty cat washing itself right my cat

ton does that i love him okay can you

frozen polar bear

i get it she's a bear all right but not

a polar bear kathy's pretending to be

her teddy oh good guess michael we

should have known that right away yeah

why because kathy hardly goes anywhere

without taking care of teddy alone yeah

by the way where is your teddy bear

cathy he's right over there in my cubby

he's lost

where can my teddy be oh don't worry

kathy we'll help you find him okay let's

go everybody

here's teddy i found him i found him oh

i'm so happy we found you teddy and

kathy we're all happy for you and teddy

why were you hiding in those puppets

teddy i was worried that you were lost

oh i put him there

i thought teddy was supposed to go in

the puppet basket that's okay tasha i'm

just glad that teddy wasn't really lost

what's that daddy you say you met

goldilocks and the three bears in the

puppet basket

teddy wants to start sharing me to do a

puppet show of his favorite stories

gentlemen dinosaurs and teddy bears

presenting the story of goldilocks and

the three bears

one day goldilocks is walking in the

woods you can tell by her look she was

up to no good she found the empty bears

home and smiled that she said i think

i'll try some gorge a chair in the bed

the bears came back and were they

surprised papa bear said i can't believe

my eyes mama bear said i porridge my

chair there's someone in my bed with

curly blonde hair oh

[Music]

mama bear said this will happen no more

next time we'll leave we'll lock the

door

so teddy what did you think of the

puppet show

he says he loved the puppet show and

he's glad to have friends like all of us

friends are special so important they

make the world go round

we like helping one another in school or

on the playground

friends are there to help each other
