14x10 - Having a Baby's Gotta Be Easier Than This

Post by bunniefuu »

- [Phil] Previously on "The Amazing Race,"

five teams raced from Bangkok, Thailand to Guilin, China.

A battle at the first clue box.

- [Jen] Ah, ooh.

Bitch.

- [Phil] Had Luke and Jen crying foul.

- Game on, b*tches.

- [Jen] Go, go, go, go.

- [Phil] A battle at the second clue box

only escalated the tension between the two teams.

- [Margie] Kisha, cut it out.

- This is getting ugly.

- What's wrong with that woman?

[dramatic music]

- [Phil] We got three teams all together.

A foot race to the mat.

- [Victor] Come on, Tammy.

- [Phil] Gave Kisha and Jen their first victory.

Kisha And Jen, you are team number one.

- Yeah. - Good job.

- [Phil] When the building pressures of the day

finally erupted.

- And then she called him a bitch.

She yelled at him. [Kisha giggles]

- [Phil] Kisha's nervous laughter.

- Don't laugh at my son when he signs.

- [Phil] Sent Margie over the edge.

- He's signing and they're laughing at him.

- I always smile, laugh, especially in tense situations.

- He's lived with this his whole life

and he doesn't need it from people like you.

- [Phil] After the smoke cleared,

brothers, Mark and Michael came in last.

- I'm sorry to tell you

you have been eliminated from the race.

- It was a good race. - Yeah, it was fun.

[water splashes]

- [Phil] Coming up tonight.

[dramatic music]

Jen faces her biggest fear.

- I'm not a good swimmer at all.

I just think of drowning automatically.

- [Phil] And contemplates quitting the race.

- Come on. What do you wanna do?

- [Jen] I wanna go home. [sobbing]

[dramatic music]

[energetic music]

- This is Guilin, China.

First settled in BC,

this city is known throughout China

for its breathtaking scenic beauty;

and in the heart of the city, Riyue.

This park, famous for the Sun and Moon Pagodas,

was the ninth pit stop in a race around the world.

Teams arrived here at the end of the last leg

for a mandatory rest period.

The four teams waiting here

have no idea what's in store for them.

[both sigh]

Kisha and Jen, who were the first to arrive,

will depart at : PM.

[envelope rips]

- "Fly to Beijing. China."

- [Phil] Teams must now fly over , miles

to the city of Beijing,

home of the Summer Olympic Games.

Once there, they must make their way

to Liangzi Jian Guo Men Dian Foot Massage Spa

where they'll find their next clue.

- [Jen] Let's go.

I think there's no reason to harp on things

that have happened in the past.

The incident that happened with Margie and Luke

is in the past.

- [Both] Airport.

- We're gonna move on; we're over it.

After this leg, it's gonna be the final three teams.

- Home stretch.

- [Tammy] Let's go.

- "Fly to Beijing, China." We can do that.

I say we go to to the travel agent.

- [Tammy] Let's go.

- Beijing is great. - Great for us.

Victor and I were just in Beijing for the Olympics,

and we've been fortunate to come to China several times,

having been here before,

having a geographical knowledge of places

and knowing how the streets work.

- [Victor] Wait for the bicycle.

- [Tammy] Being familiar with the culture

and the language here in China gives us a huge advantage.

- It's right up there to the left.

[speaking in Mandarin]

- "Fly to Beijing, China."

All right, let's go.

Taxi.

What happens with the other team, Kisha and Jen,

I'm done, I'm not gonna talk to them.

We need to go to the airport.

I'm gonna focus on the game.

I'm gonna make it to the final three and try and win.

Kick their ass. [chuckles]

[speaking in Mandarin]

- [Tammy] Let's go.

[speaking in Mandarin]

- Woo!

"You have ." - .

- "For this leg of the race."

Airport.

Along this entire race,

Cara and I have never once come in in first place.

It is beyond frustrating.

We have to just work harder.

Failure is not an option for us going into the final three.

[tense music]

[hooter honks]

- We're in traffic. - Damn it.

- [Kisha] I'm hoping all the teams ran into this.

[fast-paced music]

- [Margie] Here it is.

Hello. We need some tickets to Beijing.

We would like the earliest flight, please.

- First flight to Beijing is :.

- Oh, :, okay.

Two tickets; yes, please.

No, don't see anybody else.

[dramatic music]

Oh, they're just getting here now.

Kisha and Jen were the first ones to leave.

Cool.

- [Kisha] Okay, to Beijing.

Beijing, : is China Southern.

Ah, Margie and Luke.

- [Jen] Dang it.

[dramatic music]

[tense music]

- Do you pay here? - Yeah.

- Are you available?

Are you available?

Can you help us?

Can you help us?

Can you help us?

No.

- [Kisha] And she just gives that dumb look.

- It's patented in China, that dumb look.

- They should be able to say,

"Me no speak English" or something.

- "Speaking no English."

- But they just give you this look.

- Like zombies. - Yeah.

- It's kind of freaky.

- I'm sorry.

You cannot use international credit card here.

- Oh, come on.

They don't take that kind of credit card.

International credit cards. - What?

- At the first counter, you can buy tickets there.

- Okay. First counter here? - Yes.

Yes.

- Come on, Jen. - Okay, come on.

- [Kisha] Can we make reservations

on the : flight to Beijing?

[tense music]

- [Margie] Come on over here.

They're not sticking with the order that we came in?

I was next in line.

Not cool at all.

[Jen chuckles]

I want them out.

I want them eliminated next.

I don't wanna go to the final three with them.

If I had to go to the final three with them, game on.

- [Victor] Here we go.

- [Jen] Tammy and Victor just pulled up

in that taxi over there.

- [Tammy] Let's get our boarding passes.

- Here are your tickets. - Thank you.

- We need to check in.

Thank you.

[energetic music]

- [Tammy] There's Jennifer and Kisha.

- [Jen] Tammy and Victor.

[speaking in Mandarin]

- They went to the VIP lane.

[speaking in Mandarin]

- That's an advantage of speaking the language,

you get special privileges.

[speaking in Mandarin]

- [Jen] Excuse me. Can you help us?

- [Kisha] Can we have tickets

as close to the front as possible?

- [Attendant] Okay, I'll try my best.

- Thank you.

[dramatic music]

- Okay. - Okay.

- [Margie] Cara and Jaime.

- [Jaime] Margie and Luke.

Hello?

Have you found out anything yet?

- There's one flight at :.

- [Jaime] That's the first one out?

- Yeah, that's the first one out.

[speaking in Mandarin]

- [Tammy] Row five, it's pretty good.

- [Jen] Thank you.

We're in row eight.

[speaking in Mandarin]

[Tammy laughing] [airline crew laughing]

[speaking in Mandarin]

- Victor and Tammy, they're up to something as usual.

[speaking in Mandarin]

[mysterious music]

- Oh my gosh, if we don't survive the Beijing leg,

we all bring shame to our family.

- No, we will bring shame to the Chinese people.

[both chuckle]

- [Victor] Do you think Jen and Kisha

are in the business class lounge?

- No, what are Jen and Kisha doing?

- [Victor] What are Jen and Kisha doing?

- Let them talk about us.

- We've been separate, so I'm sure

that they're gonna probably be out for us.

- Well, you know what?

When Luke was mad and they started to laugh at him.

- What?

Like what?

- I just lost it. - It was just bad.

Kisha apologized. - Yeah.

- [Victor] Kisha did say, didn't mean it.

- [Margie] But when somebody's trying to express themself

and you're laughing, that doesn't fly with me.

- [Tammy] Do you know, it's negative degrees in Beijing?

- [Victor] It's freezing.

- [Kisha] Are you serious?

- How cold? - It snows.

- [Victor] It's up, really, it's the north part of China.

We've been in the southern part of China.

- [Kisha] Are you serious?

- [Victor] Well, it's time to get on.

- [Jen] I don't make small talk.

It's fake.

[dramatic music]

- [Victor] Let's go, let's go, let's go.

- Victor. - This way.

- Kisha, let's go. - All right, let's go.

- [Margie] Okay.

- [Tammy] Victor, I'm a little ways behind you.

- [Victor] Right here, Tammy.

[speaking in Mandarin]

- I didn't see any other teams getting in cabs behind us.

We flew off that plane.

- [Cara] We're stuck in the last row.

Exit? - This way.

Fast.

- [Jen] Kisha. Taxi.

- [Margie] Taxi.

- [Jen] Do we go this way?

- [Kisha] How do we get a taxi?

- Come on. - Let's go ask right there.

Where do we go for taxi?

- [Attendant] There. Over there.

- Okay. - Thank you.

- [Kisha] Hell no.

Ass.

- Mom, mom, mom. - Luke, wait.

- Okay. - All right. Yes.

- Go, go, go, go. - Fast as you can.

- Mom.

- [Kisha] Can you go fast? Let's go.

- That's crazy. - You okay?

- [Kisha] Luke has a grudge.

- I would expect it to be like this.

It doesn't matter.

It's kind of out of our hands.

It's all in the hands of the cab driver

to get us where we need to go right now.

[car revving]

- Come on. - We're in a race.

Very, very fast.

- [Both] Fast, fast, fast, fast.

- [Cara] Go, go, please.

[Jaime sighs]

[energetic music]

- [Jen] Go fast.

- [Kisha] I wish our driver would drive faster.

[dramatic music]

- Look, there's a taxi in front of us.

It's gotta be the sisters.

Yep, pass, pass, pass. - Yeah.

Pass them, pass them.

Oh yeah.

- Yes, thank you.

- [Jen] All the teams are in front of us now.

- Mom.

- [Jaime] Is that Luke in there?

Pass, pass.

- [Luke] Go.

- [Margie] Why has he got his flashers on?

- Okay. - Okay.

- [Jaime] I feel bad about Margie and Luke,

but we have to just keep going.

- We never get, I know, we never get a good cab.

[energetic music]

- Okay. We're almost there.

- We're headed to the Liangzi Foot Massage Parlor.

I really do not like feet,

and so I really hope we don't have to massage feet.

- [chuckles] Just imagine toes going.

- Crusty, where the skin is grown all over the heel.

And it's cracked. - Toes will be like.

"Tammy, we're waiting for you." [chuckles]

Whatever you do, though, we need to do it fast.

[energetic music]

- One team behind us, Jennifer and Kisha.

[energetic music]

- [Jen] You can follow them.

- Go, go, go, go. - All right.

Let's go.

[tense music]

- Oh my gosh, Margie and Luke turned.

Hopefully, we're going the right way

and Margie and Luke is going the wrong way.

[dramatic music]

[speaking in Mandarin]

- [Jen] Yeah, I think we passed it.

[speaking in Mandarin]

- It's here? - Here.

- [Jaime] Here? Okay.

Let's go see, Cara.

Is this here?

Yes, yes. This way?

- [Cara] There it is; ahead of you, ahead of you.

- [Jaime] You do it, you do it.

- [Cara] Okay. Ready?

"Roadblock: who's feeling manipulative?"

Me.

- [Phil] In this roadblock,

after racing around the world for grueling legs,

one person must take part in a traditional Chinese curative

to heal the weary body:

a foot massage.

That person must first drink a Chinese medicinal tea,

then experience a foot massage,

known for its therapeutic powers, that lasts minutes,

and which walks a fine line between pleasure

[tense music]

[contestant screams]

and pain.

If the person can enjoy the therapeutic massage

for the entire minutes,

they must drink another cup of tea

to receive their next clue.

However, if the pain is too intense,

the person can say the word uncle to stop the massage.

But if they do,

they must restart the massage from the beginning.

- Okay, go; good luck. - Okay, let's go.

- [Jaime] She hates massages.

- [Cara] Ugh, I hate foot massages.

Don't like people touching my feet.

[Jaime chuckles]

Maybe this'll be good for my throat.

- [Jaime] So yeah, I bungee jumped feet

and she gets a foot massage.

Oh, what I wouldn't give for a foot massage.

[Jaime chuckles]

- [Cara] Oh, that was not

the best-tasting tea I've ever had.

I'm super ticklish.

[dramatic music]

- [Margie] Oh my God.

- We gave him the address,

so you just gotta be patient.

- I know. Other people may be lost.

- This?

In there, okay.

[triumphant music]

"Roadblock.

"Who's feeling manipulative?" - Me.

- What? - Me.

- What do you wanna do?

- I say I do it. - Okay, fine.

I don't want people touching my feet anyway.

- Oh, this is not good.

[Cara giggling]

Oh my gosh. - I know.

I'm with you.

[Cara giggling]

Ow! [giggles]

This does not feel good.

- Ow. - It sounds painful.

- [Jaime] They said if you scream uncle,

you have to start over.

- [Cara] Oh my God, that hurts so bad.

[Cara groans]

Oh my God.

- [Kisha] It hurts?

- If you say uncle, I'm gonna hurt you.

[Cara screams]

- Jen, it hurts.

- Ow.

- I love it.

- [gasps] Ow.

- [Kisha] Oh my gosh.

I'm scared.

[Cara groans]

- [Jen] Jaime, she's crying.

- Oh my God.

- Ow. - I'm done.

I never expected it to be cry-worthy.

[Cara screams]

- It hurts so bad.

Sorry.

[tense music]

- Ow.

It does not feel good a little bit,

not even a little bit.

Oh.

[Cara screams]

- Are we the only two here?

- Yes. - We're the only two here.

[Cara screams]

- All right.

[fast-paced music]

- It's right here on the right.

[speaking in Mandarin]

- [Victor] Oh, they're here.

We're so late.

You're gonna do it.

[Cara groans]

[Kisha groans]

- Is it really that bad?

- This should be illegal.

- I feel like having a baby's gotta be easier than this.

[Cara screams]

[Kisha groans]

[Tammy groans]

[Tammy exhales]

- She's like very Zen.

Tammy is very Zen.

- And here I was scared of massaging other people's feet.

I'd rather do that now. [chuckles]

How long does this massage last?

- Too damn long.

- [Cara] How much more?

How much longer?

- [Jaime] Do not my cry uncle.

- Ow! - Do not say it.

- Do not. - Just shut up Jaime.

Just be quiet.

Oh my God.

[dramatic music] - Ow.

Ow.

- If you say uncle, I'm gonna hurt you.

- [Cara] Ow.

Ow.

- Do not, do not. - Just shut up Jaime.

- Do not. - I won't; just be quiet.

[Cara groans]

- [Margie] Okay.

"Who's feeling manipulative?"

Me, me. - I'll do it.

I'll do it. - Okay.

Luke's gonna do it.

- Yeah, it's gonna hurt.

- If it gets too hard, you can say time out,

but they have to start again, so don't time out.

Okay?

[Tammy groans]

[Cara sobs]

[timer dings]

- [Cara] We're done?

Oh, thank you, God.

- [Jaime] Good job, Cara.

- Oh God.

- Thank you so much.

Have fun walking 'cause it doesn't feel good.

- [Jaime] "Make your way to Guangcai Natatorium."

- [Phil] Teams must now make their way

to Guangcai Natatorium and find their next clue.

- [Jaime] I think we take a taxi.

[Kisha groans]

[timer pings] - Oh my gosh.

[Kisha chuckles]

- Oh, you're done. Good job.

- Thank you.

- [Jen] Right here, right here.

- [Both] "Make your way to Guangcai."

- [Kisha] Oh my gosh.

My feet hurt.

[tense music]

[Luke groans]

- [Victor] He'll be all right.

No one has d*ed from this foot massage.

[both chuckle]

- [Jaime] Do you know here, sports technology school?

- My feet are not feeling very good.

- [Jaime] He doesn't know; he doesn't know.

- Do you know this?

Guangcai Natatorium?

- No. - No.

[Tammy exhales]

- Ow.

[masseuse laughs]

[Tammy groans]

- [Tammy] Oh, you finished?

Oh, God.

- Oh good, thank God.

[speaking in Mandarin]

- [Victor] "Guangcai Natatorium, Beijing,

"and follow the mark path to find your next clue."

- All right, we need a cab. - Okay, let's go.

- [Tammy] [speaking in Mandarin] Bye-bye.

Oh my God, that hurt.

[tense music]

[Luke groans]

- [Cara] Natatorium?

- [Jaime] No, he does not know.

- Guangcai Natatorium, Beijing?

No.

- Ow.

Ow.

[tense music]

- Are you thinking about stopping?

No.

It's hard to see him in pain,

but I really wanted to do this one

and he jumped in there, so.

[Margie exhales]

- Guangcai?

You look freaking like you are...

- [Jen] Is this the same guy?

I think that's the same guy, dude.

They all look alike.

- [Victor] They're getting a cab.

Do you guys wanna find it together or you guys got it?

- [Cara] Yeah, no one knows it.

[tense music]

[timer pings]

[triumphant music]

- He did a great job.

"Search for your next clue."

- [Luke] Go, go, go.

- Guangcai Natatorium? - Okay.

- Yes. - Okay, you know how.

[Jaime groans]

- There wasn't nothing amazing about that massage.

That's crazy.

- [Jaime] Do you know Guangcai?

[speaking in Mandarin]

- [Jaime] Oh hell no, Tammy.

I was at this taxi before you.

- Let them get it. - It's fine, it's fine.

We'll get that one.

Not gonna happen, sister.

[speaking in Mandarin]

- We told him we need to go to the north door,

which is called bei men.

- It seems without fail every single time

there's some trickery going on with Victor and Tammy.

It gets tiring, but we'll just keep fighting.

- I was a little annoyed

that Jaime and Cara stiffed armed us on the cab

when we told them in Chinese where to go.

- Yeah. I don't wanna get in a fight with Jaime.

She scares me. - No, I agree.

[fast-paced music]

- [Margie] The sports school?

- Okay. - You know?

Can you go fast, fast, fast?

- [Jen] We are going to natatorium.

I think something has to do with swimming.

Natatorium, nautical, swimming, water.

When it comes to swimming, I don't tend to enjoy it.

I'm not good at it,

so the water is making me extremely nervous.

[tense music]

[energetic music]

- Jaime and Cara are right in front of us.

[speaking in Mandarin]

Maybe that cab driver will take them to the wrong door.

All right, don't look at them

because we don't want them to know

they're going to the wrong door.

Did they follow us?

- No, they did not. - Good.

[speaking in Mandarin]

- [Victor] Okay, we're ahead of Jaime and Cara.

- [Tammy] My feet do not feel good.

All right, here's our box.

- [Victor] Yep.

"Detour.

"Sync or swim?"

- In this detour teams must tackle

some of the same extreme challenges

faced by world-class athletes.

The choice: sync or swim?

In sync,

teams try to master the skill of synchronized diving

by jumping off the three meter springboards

and hitting the water in perfect unison.

When they perform a jump

in which they hit the water simultaneously

and receive a passing score of five from the judges,

they'll receive their next clue.

In swim, teams must change into

the revolutionary Speedo LZR Suit,

the same type of suit worn by Michael Phelps

when he won eight gold medals

at the Beijing Olympic Games.

- Go.

- [Phil] They must then swim eight lengths of the pool

in a meter relay,

with team members alternating every two lengths

and competing against Michael Phelps's world record time

in the meter individual medley.

While teams do not have to b*at Phelps's time,

each member must complete meters of the relay

to receive their next clue.

- [Tammy] I can't swim.

- Let's try the synchronized jump.

- Okay.

- We are not swimmers at all.

Weeks before even coming for the race, she took lessons.

- I was the only person in the adult lap pool

who had to learn how to put my face underwater

and breathe out.

Swimming is not my strong suit.

Come on, Victor.

- This is like skimpy land.

- [Kisha] This is it.

Come on, let's go, baby.

- [Cara] This is it.

- [Jaime] Let's try this way.

- [Jen] The girls are here.

They're on the other side.

- [Jaime] Is this here?

Where is this?

[speaking in Mandarin] - Here?

- Synchronized. - Yes.

- Okay, we're gonna sync. - Come on.

- [Jen] I can't swim that good.

- [Kisha] We chose sync

because she's not that great of a swimmer.

- I'm not a good swimmer at all.

I just think of drowning automatically,

so I won't put myself in situations where I would drown.

I'm nervous.

I'm real, real nervous.

- [Jaime] Can you show us?

Just inside?

All right, whatever.

Let's go see, Cara.

[energetic music]

- [Victor] Jump up twice, then you...

Oh, that's all you do, you just go down.

That's easy.

- [Kisha] There's Tammy and Victor.

- [Victor] Three meters is tall.

- Oh, crap. - I'm trying.

[Victor groans]

- [Tammy] Oh sh**t.

[water splashes]

[tense music]

[energetic music]

- All right. - Yes.

- "Swim." We have more control over it.

- [Cara] We're gonna try and b*at Michael Phelps' time.

- [Jaime] We don't have to b*at his time, Cara,

then we'd be in the Olympics.

I think that they're just saying.

- [Cara] Okay, just try.

- A one out five?

- [Tammy] We are horrible.

Okay, he's going again. - We are horrible.

[water splashes]

- [Tammy] I am so uncoordinated.

- Do you wanna switch?

They got flotation vests.

You wanna try this first and then?

- Yeah, let's try this first. - Okay.

[camera clicking]

[water splashes]

- [Tammy] This is ridiculous.

- [Victor] Do you guys wanna go?

- We wanna see her one more time.

- [Victor] Okay, then we'll go again?

- [Tammy] No, I wanna watch her one more time.

We keep doing the same thing. - She's not gonna do yet?

Us waiting, why not do one in between?

- [Tammy] I have no idea what we're doing wrong.

[Kisha chuckles]

[water splashes]

- Definitely not.

- [Tammy] A one.

We did it wrong.

I don't like this.

- [Victor] But Tammy, we have to do it.

It's better than the swim.

[Cara groans]

[Jaime chuckles]

- [Cara] In here?

[Jaime chuckles]

It's not go all the way to your crotch.

[energetic music]

- This one, swim.

[water splashes]

- We have to land straight. - All right, you ready to try?

[tense music]

- [Jen] That's high as all get out.

- [Kisha] Oh, geez.

- [Jen] We're both terrible swimmers.

And it was just like, how am I gonna get out the water.

Okay, I'm gonna drown; I'm gonna die.

I can't do this.

[tense music]

[tense music]

- [Kisha] Oh, geez.

- [Jen] I can't do this.

- [Kisha] Do you wanna switch?

- [Jen] Yeah.

- You doing it? - No, we're gonna swim.

- Okay, Tammy. Let's do it again.

- [Tammy] You're doing swim?

- [Victor] Okay, come on.

[tense music]

- [Judge] Go.

[energetic music]

- I'm a good swimmer, but swimming the length of this pool

is gonna be exhausting.

Good job, Jaime.

Doggy paddle back; it's cool.

- [Luke] Pull.

- Oh my gosh.

We had to put on LZR suits.

They were so tight.

- I don't think this is made for somebody with these thighs.

[energetic music]

- [Cara] Good job, Jaime.

Great job.

- [Jaime] Go.

[water splashes]

[Jaime breathing]

[camera clicking]

[water splashes]

- [Tammy] A four!

- [Victor] I feel like we did that better.

We're close.

Oh, my gosh; one more.

- [Jaime] Oh my God; it's brutal.

Okay.

[dramatic music]

[timer pings]

Hurry Cara, come on.

- Go. - Go, go, go, Cara; move.

[water splashes]

[water splashes]

- [Margie] Come on, Luke.

- [Cara] Good job, Jaime.

Take a breather.

- [Kisha] I don't know how to do this.

Are they gonna teach me?

- Go.

[water splashes]

- Mama still ain't name her Grace.

Oh my God.

- [Judge] And go.

[water splashes]

[timer pings]

- After swimming that distance,

I have a lot of respect for Michael Phelps.

It was very hard; I was so tired.

[Margie chuckles]

[fast-paced music]

- [Jen] I'm not gonna do this. I'm not good at this.

- Go. - Go.

[water splashes]

- Oh my God.

- [Jen] Come on, Kisha.

I know we shoulda done the other thing.

- [Jaime] Come on, Cara.

[water splashes]

- [Victor] They still gave me a three.

- This is hard.

- [Victor] Everyone's swimming. We can do this.

- I'm not a good swimmer.

- Do we swim forward?

Backwards? - Okay, okay, okay, okay.

Go.

[tense music]

- I can't breathe with this suit on.

- Oh my God, it hurts.

- [Jaime] Cara, come on.

I mean, I was freaking tired

but not hanging out at the other end all day.

[tense music]

- Oh!

- We should've done the other one.

[Kisha groans]

- Come on, Luke.

He's awfully slow. [chuckles]

- [Jaime] Come on, Cara, come on.

- [Judge] Okay.

Go, go.

- Come on. I'm taking this off.

[timer pings] Can we take this off?

- Thank you.

- Thank you. - Good job, you guys.

- Thank you.

- "Make your way to the pit stop,

"North Gate at the Drum Tower at Gulou Men."

- [Phil] Teams must now race across town

to this place, Drum Tower.

Built in the th century, it was where drums were beaten

to announce the time of day in ancient Beijing.

It is now the pit stop for this leg of the race.

- Let's go, we're not even changing.

- [Kisha] I'm coming.

[tense music]

[energetic music]

- Come on, buddy.

Let's go.

[Kisha groans]

- [Kisha] That's horrible.

- [Jen] I think we need to switch to the other one.

Are you listening? - Uh-huh.

- I think we need to switch to the other one.

- [Kisha] All right.

- It took her a long time

and we still have about three more laps to go.

So I think we should do the other one.

- Gulou Bei Men?

- Gulou Bei Men? - Yeah, Bei Men, okay.

- Very fast.

We just swam like Olympic champions.

We channeled our inner Michael Phelps. [sighs]

- Okay.

[Luke speaks indistinctly]

- Thank you. - Mama.

- I just wanna get this suit off.

"North gate of the Drum Tower."

Go. - Go, go.

- Please hurry, buddy.

Our luck with the taxi drivers is never good,

and we can leave in first and end up in fourth.

[camera clicks]

[water splashes]

- [Victor] Three and four. Okay.

[tense music]

Let's watch them.

[tense music]

- [Kisha] Take all the time you need, all right?

Okay?

You ready? Come on.

[water splashes]

- [Jen] That sucked.

- It's not fun, ladies. - It's really hard.

- Gulou Bei Men.

- Yeah. - He knows.

And fast.

- We swam great. - It was awesome.

[tense music]

- [Victor] Are you guys gonna go right now?

- Yeah, we're about to go. - Okay.

- We'll wait for you. - No, we're not.

Not yet, not yet.

- Come on, we're gotta do it.

- I understand we gotta do it; I understand.

- Well, let's just go up there.

- Give me time. Please?

Please, give me time.

- [Tammy] You guys gonna go?

- [Kisha] No, go ahead.

- Okay. - Thank you.

- This sucks. - This is our ,th dive.

[camera clicks]

[water splashes]

[speaking in Mandarin]

- [Tammy] It's hard.

- All right, come on.

[water splashes]

- Got it? - Let's just do it.

- [Kisha] But let's not just do it; let's get it right.

[tense music]

[water splashes]

What did we get?

- [Victor] We'll hit it once and then we'll be good.

[Tammy groans]

- I don't wanna [bleep] do this.

[Jen coughs]

I can't [bleep] do this.

- [Kisha] We gotta try to get better.

[water splashes]

- We're getting better.

We are.

- [Tammy] Oh, gosh, I don't know.

- Well, it's your call.

If we do it, let's decide now.

Just make a decision.

- meter relay.

So I swim there-- - Let's look at the clue.

The clue says...

- Look at me.

You got it, okay?

You've done stuff harder than this, all right?

[Jen sobs]

- We could do it. Do you wanna do it?

- All right, let's go do it.

- We're gonna switch tasks. - We're switching tasks.

- [Victor] It's okay, let's do it, let's do it.

- [Kisha] Nobody here's gonna let you drown, all right?

Come here, come. [Jen sobs]

Don't cry, don't cry. [Jen sobs]

Okay, we gotta go.

[tense music]

You ready?

[energetic music]

[water splashes]

- [Judge] Go.

[water splashes]

- Good job, Tammy; you're doing great.

[water splashes]

[Kisha coughs]

- What was it? - We're not gonna get this.

- [Jen] We're not gonna get this.

We're not gonna get this.

- That was amazing. You have to come back.

You got it.

[water splashes]

Okay, Victor, you gotta swim and not sink.

- [Kisha] You wanna switch?

What do you wanna do?

- [Victor] Bring it into the wall.

- Go.

[water splashes]

[timer pings]

[Jen sobs]

- [Kisha] Come on, we gotta make a decision.

Come on.

Come on, what do you wanna do?

- [Jen] I wanna go home. [sobs]

- [Tammy] Good job, Victor.

- You said you what?

- [Jen] I wanna go home. [sobs]

[tense music]

- [Kisha] Come on, we came this far.

Let's finish strong.

- Go.

[water splashes]

[tense music]

[Jen sobs]

- [Kisha] Oh Jesus, help her.

[Jen sobs] [tense music]

- It's hard to see her like...

She's climbed over so many walls,

but she knew coming in this her weakness, but.

[Jen sobs]

You know.

[dramatic music]

- Let's go. You got it.

- Are Jennifer and Kisha still here?

- Yes.

She's doing fantastic.

We should have just done this the first time.

- Come on, Jen, let's go get into the swimsuit,

'cause I wanna finish strong.

Come on.

Let's go get into the swimsuit, even if it takes forever.

- [Judge] Go.

[water splashes]

- You can do this.

[Jen sobs]

Come on, Victor.

We're still in this. Come on.

So good. You're here.

- Okay. - Good.

[timer pings]

- "Make your way to the next pit stop."

[Jen sobs] [poignant music]

- [Jen] I got the clue.

- [Kisha] I just want you to finish strong, okay?

Come on, take another breather

while they're getting us into the suit.

Come on, you've got it; let's finish strong.

You got it.

- Supposedly we're heading through the pit stop,

if this guy actually knows where he's going.

Please God.

- Be calm.

This would just be the first time

this would ever work out for us.

- First time a taxi ever went straight to the right place.

[Jaime exhales]

- Very happy we had a swimming challenge.

We're pretty good at swimming.

Jen and Kisha, bye-bye.

They're tough on land,

but in the water they're nothing. [chuckles]

- You just gotta make it up and down the pool, all right.

Let's finish strong, all right?

- [Tammy] Okay.

- Ow, my leg is cramping.

- Jennifer can't swim,

so I knew that we could do it before them.

- Let's finish strong, all right?

However long it takes you, okay?

You okay? - Yeah.

My leg is just cramping, but I'll run through.

- We can go slow.

- [Kisha] You got it.

- [Judge] Go.

[water splashes]

[triumphant music]

I'm glad she's finishing strong.

I think she feels like she let me down, but she didn't.

I'm proud of her right now.

I'm gonna wear a life vest with her

so she doesn't feel, you know, whatever

'cause she can't swim.

- Oh, both legs are crampy now.

- Come on, give me your hand.

- [Victor] I've got it, I've got it.

[water splashes]

- Good job, Jen.

[speaking in Mandarin]

[Victor screaming]

- [Tammy] You okay?

- Ah!

Ah!

- [Judge] Go.

[water splashes]

- My leg is cramping, the calf is seizing up.

- [Tammy] Can you put it in the car?

- Ah, I'm trying to.

Hold on one second. - Okay.

[tense music]

- Good job, Kisha.

[Victor groans]

- [Kisha] Jen, you gotta finish strong, all right?

- [Judge] Go.

[water splashes]

- Good job, Jen.

[Victor groans]

- Victor. - Ow!

- [Kisha] Good job, Jen.

Almost done.

- It's... [groans]

[speaking in Mandarin]

- You okay? - Yeah, I'm fine.

Just catch my breath.

The race is humbling.

Even though we had a communication advantage,

we're still at the mercy

of the local taxi cab driver knowing where to go

and the roadblocks and challenges

that we're not comfortable in.

- Let's hope we're not the last.

- I know.

- All right, okay. - Good job.

[Kisha clapping]

- [Jen] That was the most difficult detour that we've had.

I have a definite fear of water.

I just had to push through that.

And Kisha knows my weaknesses,

and I'm glad she was there pushing me.

I'm sure a lot of other people would've just let me quit

like I wanted to.

- Thank you. - Thank you.

- Luckily I had my sister there.

- [Kisha] We gotta hurry and get a taxi.

- [Jen] You know?

Can you take us?

[tense music]

- Oh, come on light, come on.

[Luke clapping]

- We have left many a detour first, many.

- I have never come in first at the pit stop.

It would feel so good, though, for a change.

- Oh, what a feeling, right?

- North gate, Drum Tower.

- Please God, be it.

Give this to us, please.

- The North Gate.

[tense music]

- Run Cara. - Yeah, go, go, go, go.

- Come on. - Run, run.

[triumphant music]

- Be calm, be calm.

- Jaime and Cara?

- Yes. Phil.

- You are the first team to arrive.

[both laugh]

But guys,

this leg of the race is not over.

You are still racing. Here is your next clue.

- Oh my God, we're still racing.

[dramatic music]

- [Phil] Stay tuned for scenes from our next episode.

Next week on "The Amazing Race."

- Good job, Victor. - This is nasty.

- [Phil] Teams have to stomach Chinese delicacies.

[Margie gasps]

- Come on, Jen.

Is this as bad as you thought?

- And. - Wenchang Da?

[speaking in Mandarin]

- Oh my God.

- [Phil] With a spot in the final three on the line.

[speaking in Mandarin]

- Wenchang?

Why are they laughing?

- [Phil] Jaime and Cara struggle with the language barrier.

- This is why you do not wanna go to China.

It sucks.

[dramatic music]
