- Previously on "The Amazing Race."

Go!

teams set out on a race around the world.

The race's first deaf contestant, Luke,

and his mother, Margie, won the first leg.

Margie and Luke, you are team number one.

[Margie and Luke cheering]

Exceeding everyone's expectations.

- Luke and Margie coming in first was amazing.

The truth is it really challenges

your sense of what people are capable of.

- [Phil] The mother and son quickly developed an alliance

with former cheerleaders Jaime and Cara.

- Cara. - What?

- He said, "Kick ass and don't get eliminated."

- Thank you.

- [Phil] Father and son, Mel and Mike,

struggled with Mel's injury.

- Ugh, my groin.

- [Phil] Only to soar ahead.

- Oh ho ho, oh, this is a treat of a lifetime.

- To a second place finish.

Mel and Mike, you are team number two!

- Yes.

- [Phil] In episode one,

Stuntmen and brothers Mark and Michael proved their mettle.

[contestants cheering]

- [Mark] Yeah!

- While flight attendants Christie and Jodi

barely escaped elimination two weeks in a row.

You are team number .

You are team number nine and you are still in the race.

You guys are cutting it fine every time.

Siblings and lawyers, Tammy and Victor,

went no-holds-barred on the second leg...

[Tammy laughing]

- [Tammy] I might've got cake in my nose.

- And came in first.

Tammy and Victor, you are team number one.

- Oh, my God. - Awesome.

- Okay, you're gross.

- [Phil] Coming up tonight,

after two legs of solid teamwork...

- You're doing great.

Just don't second-guess yourself.

- [Phil] Siblings Tammy and Victor

begin to unravel in Romania.

- It's just frustrating. - I know.

- [Tammy] that we have to follow your gut and not mine.

That's frustrating.

- [Phil] And it threatens their standing in the race.

- Where are we going?

Tell me when we're gonna stop.

Just tell me that and I will trust you, tell me when-

- I can't tell you that.

[dramatic music]

- This is Salzburg, Austria, the birthplace of Mozart.

And on the outskirts of this renowned, artistic city,

Schloss Hellbrunn.

This elaborate palace estate

was the second pit stop in a race around the world.

Teams arrived here at the end of the last leg

for a mandatory rest period.

The nine teams waiting here

have no idea what's in store for them.

Tammy and Victor, who were the first to arrive,

will depart at : A.M.

- Make your way to Bucharest, Romania.

- [Phil] Teams must now travel by train to Munich,

and then fly over miles

to the city of Bucharest, Romania.

Once they land they'll take a taxi to this gymnastics hall,

where famed Olympic gold medalist Nadia Comaneci trained.

It's here that teams will find their next clue.

- [Victor] I say we go to the travel agency, let's go.

- Victor is super smart.

He's thinks of things and is able to analyze things

quicker and better than other people.

We could go to the train station first.

- No, let's go get plane flights first.

- But victor doesn't want to be wrong.

- Travel agency.

Yeah, pull right there in front of the garage.

Okay, we need to make reservations to Bucharest from Munich.

- [Clerk] The next one is half past three.

And there's no- - No space on that flight.

- [Clerk] And then there's a Tarom flight

at a quarter to five.

- That's perfect.

And then we'll go there and try to get a standby.

- [Tammy] Okay, now off to the train station.

Okay, you see where we are on the map?

- Okay, let's go in.

Let's see.

Munich, we can get on it now.

Plenty of time, nice, easy stroll.

[dramatic music]

- Go, go, go, go.

- Bucharest, Romania.

- Let's go race. - All right.

- It's fun to have a famous son making movies.

"School of Rock" has been seen all over the world.

And what I like about Mike is that his work in Hollywood

has not gone to his head at all.

He's still Mike.

- Go.

You have $ for this leg of the race.

Well, let's go.

- Make your way to Bucharest, Romania.

Salzburg.

Oh, Romania.

I thought Bucharest was Hungary.

[dramatic music]

- [Victor] Hello.

We bought tickets to Bucharest.

There's a flight for :.

But there wasn't available for economy.

If you could put us on standby.

- Okay, there are seats available.

- Great. - Yes.

We just got the : flight, so we're really excited.

- Great. - Thank you.

- Make your way to Bucharest, Romania.

Okay.

- [Victoria] We've been through a lot

of difficult times in our lives.

- I'm a recovering drug addict and alcoholic.

I've been sober for over years.

- [Victoria] We love each other dearly.

And I'm hoping this race will really instill in us

what's important in life. - Beautiful.

- Fly to Bucharest.

Let's go.

Bucharest, Romania.

- Yes. - Whoo.

- Let's go this way.

[dramatic music]

- You need to book a flight. - On the way to the airport

we actually ran into a guy that was super nice.

- Bucharest.

- [Kris] He called the travel agency.

[man speaking in foreign language]

- [Man] The flight is :, Tarom.

- That would give us minutes

to get from the train station to...

That'll be okay? - No, you can't make it.

- We'll just run.

We'll make it.

- You're fast, huh? - We have to try.

- We're fast. - We are really fast.

- This is Dominique and Anya.

They're trying to get us tickets to Bucharest.

- [Dominique] There are two flights today.

- [Anya] : and :.

- :, we're going to have to run.

- [Anya] You won't, I think you won't.

- [Dominique] You can't get it.

- : is too fast? - No, that's not possible.

You can't do that. - Okay.

I'll buy that.

Can you try to reserve flights?

- [Dominique] Okay.

There's an early flight

but I don't think we have enough time

to connect to it from the train,

so we're not even gonna try for that one.

And the flight we're trying to get on is the : flight.

- When we get to the airport

we're gonna have to scrub more options.

'Cause that's five hours.

- Travel by train all the way to Munich airport.

- Let's go.

I really think that we can go to the end,

but we need to tighten up

our lines of communication a little bit.

We do awesome in the challenges.

But if it's something like searching for directions

or just the simple things that we need to accomplish,

it doesn't get done.

- [Kisha] You're going to be making a left.

- Okay.

- Right.

Make your way to Bucharest.

Let's go. - Let's go.

- You have $ for this leg of the race.

- Let's go.

[dramatic music]

- [Tammy] I'm just so happy we got this flight.

[dramatic music]

- [Amanda] Up. Up. Up.

- Let's go. - Let's go.

It's right through here.

- [Brad] Tarom, there it is.

- [Mike] We'd like the first available flight

from Munich to Bucharest.

- [Clerk] The next flight is at :.

- [Mike] :, perfect.

- Thank you. - Thank you.

Hey!

- Are you guys on this one? - Yeah.

[suspenseful music]

- The pilot just came on and said

that there were like, some issues

with aircraft technical problems.

We gotta turn around

and go back to Munich airport right now.

- [Victoria] We need to get to Bucharest, Romania.

- There is a flight at : but-

- We'll make it? - It's too late.

You can fly with KLM.

: Amsterdam and then

from Amsterdam you arrive in Bucharest at o'clock.

- [Victoria] It's better than the one that Dominique

was able to find for us while we were on the train.

The : flight that we booked

arrived in Romania at midnight.

Whereas the Lufthansa flight arrives later.

- We thought if we got on that : flight

there'd be a handful of teams there

but we wanted to try to get ahead of them.

[dramatic music]

- Apparently, there's something wrong with the plane.

We just flew right back to the M:unich airport.

- We had a flight on Tarom at :.

We're gonna go for that.

[suspenseful music]

I don't know why we can't go.

[suspenseful music]

They're basically boarding the plane now.

[plane thrusters roaring]

- [Tammy] We're not getting on it.

Crap.

[suspenseful music]

- So we're leaving at :.

- [Clerk] The next flight is at : and it's Lufthansa.

- [Jen] Okay.

- What time is that flight? - :.

- Mike, let's just get on this one.

- :?

Okay, that's good.

- Thank you very much. - Thank you.

- [Victor] We're on the : flight.

We get in at :.

[upbeat music]

- [Announcer] The plane will arrive in Amsterdam

a little later than expected.

- [Brad] The flight is delayed.

Gonna change planes in Amsterdam.

- It'll be tight, but I'm not freaking out over it.

- [Brad] I do not want to spend the night in Amsterdam.

[dramatic music]

- [Tammy] Cara?

- Hey. - What happened?

- The plane had to turn around and emergency land back.

- Okay, that's freaking crazy.

- Victor and Tammy are there with us, which is just wild.

- I was dazed and confused.

- [Victor] Oh, look who that is.

- [Jen] We cannot believe we see you right now.

- [Victor] Mike and Mark.

- The g*ng's all here.

[contestants laughing]

[suspenseful music]

- [Brad] Come on, Vic, come on, come on, come on.

We have a plane to catch. - There's not much time.

Excuse me.

Thank you.

We gotta go go go go go go.

- [Brad] Excuse me.

- [Victoria] We've got tickets to Bucharest.

- [Clerk] The flight left already.

- It left already? - Ugh.

[dramatic music]

[suspenseful music]

- [Clerk] Your flight to Bucharest left already.

- [Brad] We have to be there immediately.

- [Clerk] The flight that you were booked on

is the last flight of today.

Because of the fog

there are no more flights leaving tonight.

- [Brad] No cities, no airlines, so that's it.

- [Clerk] We'll have to rebook you tomorrow morning at :.

- Did you say : tomorrow morning?

- [Clerk] :.

- [Victoria] I'm feeling sick to my stomach.

- It is what it is.

You all right?

[dramatic music]

- [Amanda] This way.

- I need to go to the complex sportive nationale.

- Okay, okay.

- Can we go with you? - Yes.

- [Margie] Go, go, go, very fast.

- We're all on our way to the Sala Gimnastica

in Bucharest, Romania.

[dramatic music]

- Straight ahead. - Straight ahead.

Sala Gimnastica.

[lively music]

- Road block.

- In this road block, one person must engage in an activity

that has made Romania world famous, gymnastics.

Teams must learn and execute moves

designed for three separate gymnastic disciplines.

Balance beam, parallel bars, and floor exercises.

Once they have performed

all the moves correctly and in order

the trainer will hand them their next clue.

- I got this, hold this. - You got this, man.

- Roadblock. - Oh, roadblock.

Do you want me to do it?

- Okay, backward ice cream scoop walk, okay.

- Cha-cha. - Cha-cha.

- [Instructor] Chasse.

Right and left. - Right and left.

- [Kris] You've got it, baby.

[whimsical music]

- [Amanda] Cha-cha.

- Oh, okay.

- Okay, good. - Yes!

- She's kicking butt.

You look like a pro.

- Whoa. - Don't fall!

- [Margie] Start again.

- Very good. - You're wimping through it.

- [Amanda] Last one, babe.

- Who's ready to access their inner Nadia.

I think it's gonna be me.

[whimsical music]

- There you go.

Then cartwheel.

Forward roll, leg up.

And then leg up.

Nice.

- Thank you.

Info. - Route info.

- [Amanda] Travel to the city of Brasov in Transylvania.

- [Phil] Teams must now travel by train to Brasov,

a city located in the region of Transylvania.

Once there, they'll take a taxi to the Biserica Neagra,

also known as the black church.

It's here that they'll find their next clue.

- Let's go.

[whimsical music]

- Okay, very good. - Yay!

- Go!

- Okay, Mikey.

I don't think I could stand up there, let alone move.

He's doing it.

- I'm good. - Don't fall.

- Very good. - Yes!

- Go.

- [Mel] Look at them, leg up.

- Thank you.

Travel by train to Brasov.

- [Mel] Bravo!

[suspenseful music]

- [Amanda] Tickets right in here.

- [Kris] Can we have tickets to Brasov?

The earliest possible.

- [Clerk] Tomorrow morning, six and minutes.

- :? - Yes.

- Okay. - Okay.

Thank you.

- Same. - Same?

- [Margie] Yes.

- I don't want to stay here tonight.

It's kind of freaky.

[whimsical music]

- Bravo, bravo, bravo! - Thank you.

Okay.

Travel by train to the city of Brasov.

I want my freaking medal.

[plane engines roaring]

[dramatic music]

- Let's go.

- Let's go, let's go.

- [Victor] Taxi?

Sports nationale [speaking in foreign language].

- National sports complex. - Yes.

- Come on. - Let me put my bag in.

Don't panic, don't panic.

- [Cara] Sports nationale [speaking in foreign language].

- As fast as possible.

- [Jodi] Really big hurry.

- Is that it, the main gate?

- [Victor] See that picture,

I think this is the full sports complex.

- Where are we going?

- [Victor] We're going around.

- [Tammy] I don't think this is right.

- All right, come on.

- Roadblock. - Roadblock.

I'll do it.

- See if we can find Sala Gimnastica.

[dramatic music]

- Who's ready to access their inner Nadia?

- That sounds like you. - Me.

- Roadblock.

- You do it. - I'll do it.

- Roadblock.

I'll do it.

- Do you know where the Sala Gimnastica is?

- Straight ahead. - Okay.

- Thank you. - Thank you.

- Forward.

- Yeah. - Yes!

Whoo!

- Good job, Kisha.

[suspenseful music] - Oh, my gosh.

- Sala Gym, oh my gosh, we were here!

Roadblock, who's ready to access their inner Nadia?

- I am.

[whimsical music]

- [Instructor] Okay.

Very good. - Yes!

- Looks like she did really good on the balance beam.

She nailed it the first time.

- Whoo.

I have no upper body strength, so I'm terrified.

- [Instructor] Okay, very good.

[whimsical music]

- [Kisha] I'ma stick to basketball.

- From the moment I ran into that roadblock

and I saw the other teams are ahead of us.

This way again?

No.

I just got stressed and I was already thinking about

how we were gonna get out of here

as opposed to thinking about what I had to do.

- Sorry. - Ugh!

- [Michael] All right, Mark.

- [Tammy] No?

So I start over?

- [Jodi] Thank you.

- We b*at them all. - Okay.

You need the Transylvania station.

- Okay.

- Thank you so much.

Transylvania station.

- All right, one more, come on, run!

- Oh, yes!

- [Instructor] Okay, very good.

- Good job.

Get that rght leg over and straddle.

Perfect.

Straddle and then into the side.

- How do I? - Into the middle.

- What into the middle? - Outside into.

- What? - Sorry.

- No. - No.

- [Tammy] Ugh.

[suspenseful music]

- Okay, okay, okay.

- Thank you.

- [Cara] Here's your clothes, let's go.

- Swing off.

- Okay. - Good job!

- [Jen] Good job!

- Thank you.

Okay. - Good job, Kisha.

- [Kisha] Thank you.

- [Tammy] No?

- Kick a better cartwheel.

- Don't know how to do cartwheels.

- You've gotta try.

You've gotta kick your legs up.

- God, this is so horrible.

- Stand up. - Please?

Okay.

- Got it?

Tumble.

- No, I'm sorry.

- You're dropping on your head, Tammy,

instead of placing your head.

This is frustrating -cause I think she's

not thinking right now.

Roll, roll on your head.

[dramatic music]

- We're the only ones here now.

We have to catch up somehow,

right now we're just totally behind.

- We're here. - Yippee.

- Okay.

- That's good.

- Let's roll!

- Thank you.

- All the way, all the way, go.

Yes.

Stand up right leg forward.

- [Instructor] Very good.

- Thank you.

- Let's go. - go, sorry.

- Okay, go get your clothes. - I'll just keep this.

Oh, gosh, it took me so long, I'm sorry.

- That's okay, I think your brain just froze.

[dramatic music]

- Well, hello.

- Did everyone make the same flight?

- Victor and Tammy, they made the : flight.

No, they're with us. - No way.

- Yes they are.

- You just need to relax and, you know, just think.

- I don't know, let's not talk about it.

I don't wanna talk about it.

- Okay, that's fine.

- [Tammy] Victor and I, we have a lot of tension.

- [Victor] There it is.

It's frustrating 'cause I feel like,

when we're racing, I have some good ideas

and he just won't listen to me and it's frustrating.

He thinks I'm weak, he thinks I get paralyzed

and can't do things and he thinks that

he's accommodating for me a lot.

I'm not really sure how to deal with it.

[upbeat music]

- And we're on the road.

- We are on a train now heading to Brasov.

And our next clue is to find the black church.

- People sometimes might be intimidated by Luke's deafness.

They are afraid that they can't communicate with him.

- Most of the time I just whip out a pen and paper

and we talk that way.

- And he's appreciated the effort to communicate with him.

He's great.

Church, church.

[dramatic music]

- We need to make sure when we get off the plane,

then we go and race hard because it's not over yet.

- Excuse me.

I kind of have an excited feeling

even though we're the last team.

If there's even one team

that is as screwed up as our situation,

then I'm gonna be really happy.

[dramatic music]

- [Amanda] Oh, we're a ways away, jump.

- [Victor] Taxi?

Biserica Neagra.

[Victor speaking in foreign language]

We're first.

- [Kris] Perfect.

- That's the blondes.

- There's Kris and Amanda.

And then in front of us is Tammy and Victor.

- We need to get there before those taxis if you could.

- I'll try a few short cuts. - Oh, nice!

Whoa!

- Definitely expecting a foot race.

Should be exciting.

[soft music]

- Look there. - Okay.

Let's go.

- Go, go, go, watch your hand.

- Let's go, let's go, let's go.

- Detour. - Detour.

- Gypsy Moves or Vampire Remains.

- In this detour, teams have to choose between two things

one might expect to encounter in Transylvania.

The choice, Gypsy Moves or Vampire Remains.

[lively music]

In Gypsy Moves, teams make their way

to this gypsy settlement,

where they must load all of a family's belongings

onto one of these horse-drawn carts.

They must navigate the family cart to their new encampment,

where they'll unload their belongings

before receiving their next clue.

In Vampire Remains, teams make their way to these woods.

They must drag a coffin to this clearing,

unlock and untangle a series of chains,

and open the coffin to reveal antique frames inside.

Then, in the spirit of Vlad the Impaler,

who inspired Bram Stoker's famous vampire "Dracula,"

teams must impale the frames on a stake,

searching for a hidden flag.

Once found, teams may exchange it for their next clue.

- Gypsy moves.

It's easy, the other one you have to untangle locks.

- Vampire Remains. - It seems easier, doesn't it?

- Let's do Vampire Remains.

[dramatic music]

- Gypsy Moves. - Gypsy Moves.

- [Mark] There it is, Mike, there it is.

- Gypsy Moves or Vampire Remains?

- Animals can be unknown.

- Vampire. - Stake?

I was thinking the stake too, I don't know.

- [Margie] Okay, let's do it, let's do it.

- [Mike] Gypsy Moves.

The other one sounded too complicated.

- [Mark] We're gonna do Gypsy Moves.

I can drive a cart, that's no problem.

[dramatic music]

- Bucharest, Romania.

Now it's time to turn it on.

Sportiva Complex?

We're so far behind.

Everything has to just fall into place.

- You don't know this place, do you?

- Moment.

- Oh my. - What are you doing?

- You don't know.

Why would you say that you do?

[lively music]

- Oh, that's it, probably right there.

- That's Amanda and Kris.

Speak to me, Dad.

- My groin is so bad.

[lively music]

- [Mike] Oh, my God, Dad.

- We have to load this?

It looked really like a stupid decision to do the gypsy move

when we arrived and saw a car body, huge tires.

- We were, like, "Why did we pick the most physical detour?"

Try the other side. - Okay, he's gonna help.

One, two, three.

- [Gypsy] One, two, three!

One, two, three.

[lively music]

- [Mel] I can't hold this much longer.

- [Mike] Take a break.

[lively music]

- What are you doing, what are you doing?

Follow that cab.

- Why are we driving on the sidewalk?

He doesn't know.

- We don't have time.

[lively music]

- Okay. Go.

- [Mel] Now roll it.

Roll. - Nice job.

Are they leaving?

[horse neighing]

[gypsy laughing]

Ah, all their stuff's falling off.

- [Amanda] Kris, you let me know if you need help.

- Can you wait here?

- Whoa. - Hold on, hold on.

[gypsy laughing]

- [Mel] Hi-ho silver!

- Whoo!

[dramatic music]

- [Victor] It's a grown castle.

Great. Great. Great.

- [Jodi] Is it right here?

- Okay, follow the marked path to the coffins.

We have to go across.

- Let's go over this bridge.

- There's a mark right here. - Those red marks?

Usually it's red and yellow. - This is a marked path.

- Marked path.

Definitely over there.

- All right, let's go.

- [Jodi] Where's Victor and Tammy?

- [Victor] Yes, this is the marked path.

We're good.

Can't believe this is straight uphill.

- [Tammy] Usually the markers are red and yellow arrows.

- There's another one up here.

We choose a coffin and go to the clearing.

Oh, there's the coffins.

They're heavy.

- [Tammy] Where are these coffins?

This is not right.

Those were not our markers.

- We don't know that yet.

[lively music]

- Mike, there it is right there.

- One, two, three. - One, two, three.

- [Mark] Here we go, here we go.

- [sighs] I just have to breathe because I'll snap.

You're stopping again?

[driver speaking in foreign language]

- He's gonna ask.

Do you not understand what he's saying?

You're speaking the same language.

He doesn't understand what he's saying?

[lively music]

- Whoo-hoo.

Now we're gonna unload.

- I don't have my fanny pack. - We'll get it, babe.

- [Mel] Okay, Mike, we unload.

- [Gypsy] Whoa.

- [Tammy] I don't see anyone else coming up here.

- I

honestly think this is right.

And I think going back right now would be a big mistake.

- [Jodi] Come on.

Keep pushing.

- Careful. - That's okay.

- It's here?

Do you see a marked path?

- [Jaime] Not yet.

- Holler if you see it, we're going down here.

- Jaime! - This way!

- Yes? - Yeah?

- All right. - Yes.

- Look, we're doing so great.

Oh wait, here's another marker.

- This sucks. - Good job.

[whimsical music]

[belongings thudding]

- Are we good?

Oh, yeah.

- Travel by taxi to the Complex Turistic Angelica.

- [Phil] Teams must make their way by taxi

to this mountain cottage, Vila Panoramic.

This small inn, overlooking the castle

linked to the story of "Dracula,"

is the pit stop for this leg of the race.

The last team to check in here may be eliminated.

- Warning, the last team to check in will be eliminated.

- Oh, yeah! - Yeah!

- [Kris] Let's go, let's go!

- Bye.

- [Kris] Good luck, guys.

I've got to find my fanny.

- Thank you, thank you.

- The last team to check in may be eliminated.

- I'm getting coats. - Thank you.

- [Jodi] Good job.

- I need you to help me, please.

- I am.

- Whoa.

Whoa.

- [Jodi] Way to go.

- I'm stuck in this, okay.

Pull. - All right. Good.

- [Margie] The key to the first lock

is hanging on your impaling stake.

Right here, right here.

Okay, that key does not fit, look on the bottom.

- You ready? - Yup.

- All right, there we go.

You unlocked one, and then there was a key,

and you had to take that and unlock the next one,

but you didn't know which lock it was.

- [Jodi] Got it.

- [Christie] Now we've got the second key.

- Like a maze. - Yeah.

- Come on. - I think go this way.

- [Tammy] I just don't see anyone else here, Victor.

- [Victor] Tammy, I think we, we're not going back down.

[suspenseful music]

- [Instructor] Very good.

- Yay! - Woo!

- Pardon me, boy, you need the Transylvania station.

Go change your clothes, I'll be waiting here.

[lively music]

- That's good. - I'll go.

- Right here, right here.

- Where's my fanny pack. - There we go.

Go find it. - Hey!

Amanda and Kris left their stuff, he said.

- [Amanda] Where did you put the fanny pack?

- [Kris] I set it right here.

- Kris, calm down, it's somewhere here.

- [Kris] Someone stole it, that's the thing.

- [Michael] Attaboy.

- That has all of our money.

All of our passports, everything.

- Well, then don't freak out, let's look for it.

- Fanny pack?

This is terrible.

[lively music]

[moves into suspenseful music]

- [Cara] Push.

- Ooh!

- Ew, they're bloody. - This is it.

I don't understand how they did that.

- [Tammy] We're following those red and white markers.

There's just nothing here.

- I'm sorry I'm making you do something you think is wrong,

but I really think it's right.

- I know you do.

It's just frustrating

that we have to follow your gut and not mine.

That's frustrating.

[suspenseful music]

- Kris, the only other place it is

is where we unloaded all of the stuff.

- Fanny pack. - Yeah.

- Oh, yeah! - Yes!

- [Kris] Thank you.

- Let's go. - High five.

Okay, we gotta go here.

Complex Turistic Angelica.

And then I have to find Vila Panoramic.

- Thank you. Thank you.

Come on.

- Thank you. - Oh, Vila Panoramic.

- They are behind us. - Kris, slow down.

- Come on.

We've got 'em, baby.

[flute music]

- Welcome to Bran, Romania.

- Thank you. - Thank you.

- Mel and Mike, you are team number one.

- Yes.

Yes.

- Congratulations, I have some good news for you,

as the winners of this leg of the race,

you have won a trip for two from Travelocity

to Hotel La Mariposa in Costa Rica.

- Oh, that's his favorite place.

- [Phil] You'll explore the stunning

Manuel Antonio National Park,

known for its gorgeous white beaches and evergreen forests.

And a spectacular canopy and kayak tour

will bring you up close to the native wildlife.

Congratulations.

- To say I'm proud of Mike right now

is the understatement of the century.

He's one of the very special people that I've met in my life

and not just because he's my son, but because he is special.

[flute music]

- Amanda and Kris. - Yeah?

- You are team number two.

- Almost number one. - That's okay.

- I just don't think this is right.

- I know you don't think-

Tammy, you could go all the way down.

It's not like we saw something else.

I think we have to complete what we started.

The worst thing to do is to do-

- You're just walking forever.

You don't even know what these markings go to.

- Please just trust me.

- Tell me when we're gonna stop.

Just tell me that, and I will trust you.

- I can't tell you that.

- Victor, I just don't think this is right.

- Here, here, here! - where!

- There's a marker.

- [Tammy] I promise you they would not have arrows

pointing both directions.

Where are we going?

- [Victor] I think we need to go up there and to the right.

- [Tammy] Do you have any reasoning for me, please?

- I don't.

I think we need to go.

Please. - Okay, fine, let's do it.

- [Brad] Let's go on and get some seats.

[horse neighs]

- Wait. Wait. Wait.

Okay.

Yeah, I'm good.

Thank you. - Thank you.

The last team to check in may be eliminated.

We need to go to Turistic Angelica.

- I don't understand.

- [Cara] Margie, did your key fit right away?

- No, you have to try different ones.

- Mama. - Yes, yes, we got it.

- [Jodi] See, they got it.

- Thank you.

The last team is eliminated.

Let's go.

- Margie and Luke are gone, Cara.

- [Jodi] I can't take it.

- Now.

Thank you so much.

Warning: the last team to check in may be eliminated.

Let's go.

- [Tammy] This is not right.

Victor, please.

You've taken the role of decision maker.

You want to make decisions, please make one.

- You can help make the decision.

I mean, if you want to go back, let's go back.

- I can help make the decision

now that we've walked up the whole mountain?

I say let's turn around.

- Okay.

Let's just go back, I agree.

- [Jodi] Go. Go.

There it is. - Sweet.

- Take it to the vampire? - Yeah.

- [Jamie] We're clearly last, clearly.

- Thank you very much.

Pit stop.

- [Christie] Come on, girl, you got this.

- Seriously, I'll freaking rip it open

with my bare hands at this point.

Okay.

- [Jodi] Complex touristica?

- You got one? - Yup.

- All right, baby, let's go.

Warning, the last team may- - Let's go.

[flute music]

- Kisha and Jen, you are team number three.

- All right.

- [Luke] Go.

Go.

- [Margie] Yes. Go.

[flute music]

- Margie and Luke, you are team number four.

- Yeah! - Yes!

- Do you need to stop? - Keep going.

We're almost right back down.

- Oh, there's a stupid arrow.

- Where is it? - It's right here.

Oh, it says "To coffins."

Sorry, we have to go up again.

- [Tammy] Oh, crapola.

- Stop, then go.

Up there, up there on the right.

- Stop. Stop, Stop.

Go, let's go.

- Oh god, here comes Mark and Mike.

- Mike. - Let's go.

- Mark and Michael, you are team number five.

- Ahh!

- Christie and Jodi, that would make you team number six.

- Good going, girls. - Good job, girls.

- I can get this down. - Okay.

- I don't care if I die, let's just do it.

- Come on, Victor.

Careful. Careful. Careful.

- Let's go.

- [Tammy] Victor, please.

- [Victor] Okay.

I'll get it.

- Sweet, okay.

- When we undo this lock, there will be that key, right?

Except the first lock doesn't have that key.

There should be another key somewhere along here.

So we need the second key.

Second key.

- Second lock one key.

Third lock, no key.

- That will be the final lock.

- Maybe we broke it when we were coming down.

- Maybe the key just broke off.

And now we have the impossible task of finding a stupid key.

[suspenseful music]

- On this train, we thought about, well,

is it possible that another team

could have screwed up as bad?

And if they did, then we're still in the game.

[flute music]

- Jaime and Cara? - Yeah.

- You're team number seven.

You're still in the race. - Oh, thank you.

- We pulled it down.

This is ridiculous.

- [Tammy] If it's a missing key

I don't think we can find it.

- Well, we know it's a missing key.

Why do we end up with that coffin?

- Huh? - We're unlucky.

- [Tammy] Can't do anything about that part.

- Here it is. - Yay!

Good job.

That's awesome.

Oh. Good job.

- This one does not.

There's a flag. - There you go.

Can we have our next clue, please?

Thank you. - Thank you.

- Warning: the last team to check in may be eliminated.

[suspenseful music]

[flute music]

- Tammy and Victor, I'm sorry to tell you that you are

the second last team to arrive.

- The second to the last?

- You are still in the race. - That's what we thought.

- Good job, Victor. - Thank you.

- [Tammy] Thank you.

- Tough day.

Why are you upset, Victor?

- I'm not upset.

It's just, I'm just glad that we're done.

We're alive and that's what matters.

The stressful environment has made it very clear

that the older brother little sister dynamics

don't work well in a race.

I think it's a real chance for us

to improve the way we can relate to each other

so that we can be both effective

and not what I think is unintentionally hurtful.

- I know for me I learned a couple things today.

I know I have to speak up a little bit more.

There are things that I think I need to do

to help our life-long relationship.

I need to hurt his feelings a little bit

when I really think that I'm right and he's wrong

and just be very vocal about it.

At the very least I hope we have as strong a relationship

as we had coming into the race.

[dramatic music]

- [Victoria] Careful.

Oh, my God.

- Race flag. - Oh, good, good, good.

- All right. - All right.

- Last team may be eliminated. - Okay, let's go.

What fun.

- [Brad] This great race, it's going to be with us forever.

Can't think of a better person

to share this experience with than Victoria.

- Brad and Victoria. - Yeah.

- You are the last team to arrive.

I'm sorry to tell you,

you have both been eliminated from the race.

- We're in a really good place in our lives to begin with.

We understand and accept our differences,

but this wonderful adventure around the world

is gonna change the way we view our lives together.

[triumphant music]

- [Phil] Stay tuned for scenes from our next episode.

Next week on "The Amazing Race,"

in the icy cold of Siberia...

[villagers singing in foreign language]

Teams' walls come crumbling down.

- No! - Damn it!

- [Amanda] Oh, my gosh, Kris.

- [Phil] And Luke takes the ride of his life

but hits a dead end. - Calm down.

Keep trying. - I don't know

[triumphant music]
