Oh, [chuckles] hi there!

Welcome back!

Tonight's the big
Pot Luck Dinner

here at the Big Blue House
to talk about the Library.

You know, two days ago,
there was a big storm

and a tree fell through
the library window.

It ruined the books.

So, everyone in the Woodland
Valley is coming here tonight

to figure out what to do.

And I have a feeling...
things will be okay!

I feel great!

I can't wait to say
good morning to Ray the Sun.

In fact...

I think the Sun is
juuuuust about to rise.

♪ I look outside my window ♪

♪ I see the sun has
come to start the morning ♪

♪ Why, bear my friend

♪ I've travelled 'round

It's gonna be a good day!

So I'm just waiting
for Doc Hogg to come by.

We're gonna figure out
what to do about...

Wait a second...

[sniff]

What's that smell?

It smells like...

Trees and... [sniff]

...sunshine!

It's you!

[inhales deeply]

Oh, tell me, we're you
just hiking in the woods?

'Cause you have that
fresh tree and sunshiny smell.

Or maybe you smell
this good all the time.

[chuckles]

Anyway, as I was saying, I'm
waiting for Doc Hogg to come by.

We are gonna figure out
what we're gonna do about

-the tree in the libr--
-The library, Bear!

-Oh!
-I've got a plan!

[sounds out of breath]

You know I was sitting
in bed thinking about it

and suddenly... it came to me!

The tree!

First thing we've got
to do is get rid of the tree!

Eh?

He's a genius really.

Yeah, I know. I just
wanted to reassure you, Bear.

I'm on this one.

See I've already
drawn up the plans.

I'll present it at
the big dinner tonight.

Just have to go by
the library one more time,

get a few measurements. [laughs]

Okay, Doc, if you think
everything's under...

Control? Are you kidding?
Control is my middle name, Bear.

-Really?
-Yeah.

OJO: Bear? Doc?

-Um...
-Oh! Hey, Ojo.

Bear... Doc Hogg... could
I... um.. could I go with you?

um... you know,

I-I-I've been thinking
about the library so much.

Well, okay Ojo.
I mean, if you really think so.

I mean, I think
it would be a great idea

if you went to see
how we're gonna fix it.

Why yes. There's no problem.

And I happen to have
another hard hat right here

and it's just about your size.
[laughs]

I'll show you how the mind
of a great architect works.

Oh! An architect...

is someone
who designs buildings,

in case you were wondering.
[chuckles]

Oh, o-okay. Let's go!

Alright!
I like your enthusiasm, Ojo!

Well I better get ready
for tonight's Pot Luck Dinner.

Now, let's see... where did
I put that table cloth- hm...

SHADOW: Ha-ha-ha-ha!

Huh?

That sounded like Shadow.

[Shadow laughs again]

And it sounds like
she's in the kitchen, hm?

Come on.

That sounds like Shadow alright.

Hey, if we look real hard,

and sing our song,
she might appear.

Ready?

Where is Shadow? ♪

[laughing]

Hey you, big orange fellow!

[laughs]

Shadow! There you are!

We were looking for you!

So, do you happen to have
a story to tell today?

Don't I always?

Just watch!

♪ The villagers were hungry ♪

♪ They started to moan ♪

'We're hungry!'

♪ When the wise woman said... ♪

'Let's make
a soup out of stone!'

'A stone soup?
Well, that's nothing to eat!'

'Ah, give them a chance.
They'll make us a treat.'

♪ -One brought a kettle
-'Oh!' ♪

♪ Another some work ♪

'Ah look at this
firewood I got here.'

'Oh, i got my heavy... kettle.'

♪ One poured the water ♪

WOMAN: 'Mmmm...
That's beginning to look'

'Really good.'

'What else have we got?'

♪ -One brought a potato
-Oh yeah ♪

♪ -Another a pea
-Oh yeah ♪

♪ One had a tomato ♪

'Oh, what a lovely tomato,
Just throw it in the pot.'

'Wow this soup is beginning
to look good to me.'

SHADOW: And as the day went on,
each added to the pot.

'We may not have much,
but when we share it's a lot!'

'Hmmm.'

♪ And soon, there it was,
a huge soup made of stone ♪

♪ Enough for all, ♪

♪ For all brought
Something of their own ♪

'There you are! soup's on!'

'Oh, thank you!'

Wow!
That was a great story, Shadow!

I'll definitely keep it in mind
at tonight's potluck dinner,

figuring what to
do about the library!

Do that, Bear.

And, if you don't mind...

save me a piece of that
peach pie you're making...

or at least the
shadow of a piece!

Wow!

It's great
when folks get together

and do things, isn't it?

Yeah! Together!

Together.

It's a great word, isn't it?

One of my favorites.

When I think of together,

I think of folks working,
playing,

and helping one another.

And the nicest part
about being together is,

you are never alone.

That's what I love
about Woodland Valley.

[sighs]

Oh... where was I?

Oh, right! My tablecloth!

I think it's up in the Attic.
Come on!

-Fiction?

everyone enjoys ♪

may want to clap your hands ♪

♪ Just be sure

of clam-related stuff ♪

of the town ♪

♪ [quietly]: But you

We're not doing anything!

Oh, I-I-I mean, it's just going

Yeah Bear,
we're just playing in the attic.

Oh, well I'm just looking
for the big table cloth...

Hi, OJo!

-Hi, Doc!
-Oh, well, hello there!

So, you're here to
work on the plans, Doc?

Yes, yes I am.
That's right, Etta,

before you know it we'll have
the library all fixed up.

And if you pay
close attention, Ojo,

you can see how the mind
of a great architect works.

But Doc,
uh, you're not an architect.

[laughs and snorts]

Well, not an architect, per se,

but… uh... I have been in a lot
of buildings, and I am a Doctor.

So, here's the plan -

As you can see... the
main problem is that

the library has a tree in it.

-Oh, very observant!
-We need to remove said tree.

Yeah.

Alright. So, now let's take

one more look see at the damage,
shall we?

Right over here
by the front door

you'll notice as you walk in...

you're kind of overcome by
an overall sense of tree-ness...

-Aaaah!
-Aaaah!

Aaaah!

What are you doing here?

Now in my opinion a tree is not,
I say not,

encouraged as part
of interior decor.

Uh... h-hey... wait
a second, Doc...

-I have a... uh...
- Not right now, Ojo,

I'm making big plans, big plans.

-Oh, big plans, Etta.
-Yes.

Um... Hello?

It's okay.

You can come out.

Hi.

-Hey.
-Hi.

Um... uh...

[softly] There's nothing
to be afraid of, you know.

Well, um-uh,
you seem nice enough...

But, uh, who's that guy?
He's scaring us!

He keeps talking about
getting rid of our house!

-Yeah!
-O-Oh, that's just Doc Hogg.

He's really nice,
once you get to know him.

But, um,
what are you doing here?

Ah, this tree is our house!

Yeah, and when the tree
fell into the library,

-we fell with it.
-Mmmm-hmmm.

Your house?

Oh that's terrible,
were you scared?

Yeah!

Uh, then we realized
how nice it was in here.

Oh, yeah!
It's warm, and it's nice,

and we love all these books,
even the wet ones.

Yeah, it's a nice place.

-Now the only thing in is...
-Oh, good, Doc!

-You're here. I have a...
-...what to do is

once we get it out of here.

Hmmm...

I got it, Ojo,

-once we get this tree...
-Yeah

-Out there...
-Yeah.

we'll chop it up
and use it for firewood!

We'll have enough for the year!

-Enough to heat...
-No, no, no, no!

...all of Woodland Valley!

-Oh, this is gonna be wonderful!
-No, no Doc!

Wait a second, Doc, you don't...

See! That hog is going
to use our house for kindling!

Where are we going to live?

Our beautiful house!

Oh, no, no,
no, don't cry, don't cry -

I-I- I-I'm sure,
I'm sure we'll figure...

Figure it out, Ojo!
I've got it all figured out.

Now, uh, let's all go
over to the potluck dinner

and we can tell everyone

about the fantastic
firewood opportunities..

Oh, don't worry,
everything will be okay.

I have an idea, okay?

DOC HOGG: Ojo, come on,
I'm getting hungry!

Oh, uh, no, thank you, Etta.

Um, so, everyone,
thank you for coming.

So before we get started
with this wonderful meal

provided by... us,

the residents of the
Woodland Valley Community...

-Hear! Hear!
-It's delicious!

We really need to figure out

what should be done about
the libr--

The library, Bear.

And I move that

we more that tree
right on out of there, right?

Am I, right?
Firewood for everyone!

-[laughs]
-Oh, okay, Doc!

Uh, tell you what...
why don't you be in charge

or the redesign committee
and, oh, Jacques.

-Hmmm?
-I thought maybe you could be

in charge
or the rebuilding committee?

Ah, yes! Oui!

By my mother
who was a hamster I promise!

It will be as good as new!
Just leave it to Jacques!

And Jacques Logs! [laughs]

I'd like to volunteer
to do the painting...

And I'll donate all
the paint and the brushes!

Uh, this is great!

This is all coming
together so wonderfully!

So um, anyone else?

Oh, uh...

well that's all well and good

but what will we do
about the books!?

-Oh right, of course! The books!

That's why it's called
a library!

Everything else is taken
care of, but the books...

-Oh, uh, Tutter,

I mean, I gave a few, but this
is an enormous amount of...

And now if we can just
get rid of that tree...

There's some folks
I'd like you to meet.

These are the possums.

They live in that tree.

[everyone gasps]

[stunned] Oh, I didn't know!

What do we do now?

Well, I mean the possums
are a part of the community.

-Well, that's true, Ojo.
-I guess...

But what does that
mean about the tree?

Well, I have an idea.

What if we just leave
the tree where it is?

I was thinking that the tree
could make a great reading nook

where all of us could
sit and read with the possums.

I'm an excellent
reading teacher.

-Uh-huh.
-If I do say so myself.

Wow, that is a great idea, Ojo.

Well, looks like
everything's taken care of!

Yaaaaaay!

Meeting's adjourned!

Ah!

Oh, sorry about that.

[quietly] Wow!

Look how pretty
the Library looks.

Yeah! And it's not every
library that has a tree...

For a book nook!

[laughing]

And the best thing of all

is that we all did it together
as a community!

Yes, this calls
for a celebration!

Oh, oh and I know just
what we can do to celebrate...

Oh, yeah, Ojo!

over all of the wonderful places

in Woodland Valley.

as I travel around the world
each and every day

I see so many beautiful places-

but what is even more wonderful

are the creatures
and people who live there.

It's all the communities, Bear.

Yes, well that's
what Woodland Valley is.

Oh.

You know I bet where you live

is a great community too!

Oh, it is.

Any place people work together
to help each other

and make their lives safe,
secure and better

is a wonderful community.

Hm, true, Luna.

And how were my
little friends today?

They were amazing!

On their own they figured out
how to help rebuild the library

by gathering books

to replace the ones that
were ruined in the storm.

They are so smart.

It's great to see them out

exploring the world
on their own.

Yeah, oh,
and Ojo met a family of Possums

who live in the tree
that fell in the Library.

And all by herself,

she figured out
how they could stay there.

Oh, you must be
very proud of her, Bear.

Oh, I am, Luna.

Well, it's time for me
to go up in the sky

and shine on all of the other
communities in the world

and bring as much peace
to the world as I can.

Yes, but Luna,
we'll see you tomorrow?
