Hi there!
It's so good to see you!

[sniffing] Ahhh!

It's spring here
in Woodland Valley!

Don't you just love
the smell of a spring...

[sniffing]

Hey. I smell something sweet.

[sniffing] Hmm?

[sniffing]

Ooo. New leaves and...

[sniffing]

Ahh! ... pinecones...

and... [sniffing]

wisteria and...

[sniffing]

...a musty old rag.

Must've left this here
after I was cleaning.

[chuckles]

Oh, I'm sorry.
But I can't help it!

At this time of year,
my sniffer just goes crazy!

It's a regular
smellorama for us bears!

[chuckles]

Huh? [sniffing]

What's that?

[sniffing]

Hmm?

[sniffing] Ooo.

It's a flower!

[sniffing] Ahh!

Don't you just love
the smell of flowers.

Mmm.

Oh. [chuckles] I'm sorry.

Come on in.

As I was saying,

[sniffing]
Hey, what's that smell?

[sniffing] Hmm?

[sniffing]

[sniffing]

♪ Smells like cornflakes ♪
[sniffing]

♪ Or maybe pancakes ♪

♪ A glass of milk ♪

♪ It's something swell ♪

♪ What's that smell? ♪
[sniffing]

♪ Smells like clean clothes ♪

♪ Ticklin' my nose ♪

♪ Warm pajamas soap as well ♪

♪ What's that smell?
It's delicious ♪

♪ What's that smell?
I'm suspicious ♪

♪ Toothpaste, grape juice
Wait! Don't tell! ♪

♪ What's that smell? ♪
[sniffing]

♪ What's that smell? ♪

♪ It's something cuddly ♪
[sniffing]

♪ And something
utterly special too ♪

♪ It's wonderful
It's loveable, unique ♪

[sniffing]

♪ Hey! It's you! ♪

[sniffing] Ooo.

Tell me, were you just outside
playing in the grass?

'Cause you smell all fresh
and dewy, like grass.

[sniffing] Ahh!

Or maybe you smell this
good all the time.

[chuckles]

Now, as I was saying-

[sniffing]

Hey,
that's a whole bunch of smells.

[sniffing]

Hmm?

Oh!

Hey,
use your sniffer and come, too!

[sniffing]

Ooo, there's a whole bunch
of smells, over here.

[sniffing]

Ooo. It's a whole
symphony of smells...

-Eh?
-I smell [sniffing]

spices... and [sniffing]

fruit... and [sniffing]

-...Tutter?
-[laughter]

-Tutter!
-Hi, Bear.

[chuckles] I'm sorry, um...

-What's all this?
-Oh! Oh, yeah, yeah!

I was just capturing smells
for Tutter's Amazing Smelleseum!

-[chuckles]
-Smelleseum?

-Yeah.
-What's that?

Oh. It's a museum of smell,
of course, Bear!

See-see, -put something
with a smell in a bottle!

An-and when you
want to smell it,

you simply uncork
the bottle and take a whiff!

Say, Bear...

how would you like to step right
up and-

and be the first to inhale
my latest exhibit?

Oh. Tutter, I'd be honored.

Yeah. Come one, come all!

Step right up and feast
your nose on Tutter's Amazing

Smelleseum!

Whoa-ha-ha. Whoir-Oh.
Go ahead, Bear. Take a whiff!

Let's see. Oh, how about...

-Yeah.
-This pretty red one here.

Ha.

[sniffing] Oooh.

It smells like ... flowers!

Right, Bear! I-It's lilacs.

I picked them
outside this morning.

Do you like it?

[sniffing]

Oh yes!
I love the smell of flowers.

-Hmm.
-They're so sweet and flowery.

[chuckles]

Well, if you liked that one,
you'll love this one, Bear.

Step over here, sir. Step
right over here, my friend

and, and take a whiff.

Only the finest
wonderful smells. Hm-Hmm.

Ooo, I can't wait
for a more wonderful smell.

-[chuckles] Yeah.
-Let's see.

What could this
wonderful smell be?

Oh boy. [sniffing]

[coughing]

-Uh-huh.
-Tutter!

I thought you said that
was a wonderful smell!

-Oh, but it is, Bear!
-Phew.

It is! Oh. It's a piece of
limburger cheese sandwich

I found in my mousehole.
[chuckles]

Who knows how long
it's been there!

[chuckles]

-Ahh...
-[coughing]

Quite a while,
from the way it smells.

-[coughing]
-Yeah, yeah! Don't you love it?

[sniffing]

Ahhh. What a smell!

Heh. I could sniff it all day
long and never get tired of it.

-[sniffing] Ahhh!
-Phew.

-Well... uh...
-Wooooh!

I guess everybody likes
different kinds of smells.

-Oh yeah. Ahhh...
-Um, [coughing]

Tutter? What do you say,
uh, we put the cork back on.

I mean, you wouldn't want
to waste such a wonderful smell.

Oh, right you are, Bear.

Oh. It's too precious!
Far too precious.

There you go!
Co k it up! [chuckles]

-There you go.
-Yeah. That's the way.

Now...
If you'll excuse me, Bear.

-Hmm?
-I have lots to do!

Heh. I've got some old yogurt
I found

that I want to bottle
up for the Smelleseum.

[chuckles]

Well, you get back to work.

-I sure will.
-I'll see you later.

There we go. Yes, sir.
Now where's that yogurt.

Wow.

There are so many
kinds of smells.

Yes, smells.

Smells. Mm-hmm.

And you use your nose
to sniff smells.

Sweet smells, like honey...

[sniffing]

Mmm. Sweet honey.

Then there are some smells
that are kind of sour

from food that should
have been thrown away!

Phew!

And then there are
some spicy smells

that tickle your nose and make
you sneeze, like pepper...

Ah-ah-aahchoo.

[snorting] Ah.

Ooof.

See. Smells are everywhere

and they're
with us all day long.

[sniffing]

♪ Is that honey on the shelf ♪

[sniffing]

♪ Or do I smell myself ♪

[sniffing]

♪ Is it grape juice
that pleases ♪

♪ Or various cheeses
in the air? ♪

[sniffing]

♪ There is nothing I can do ♪

the whole day through ♪

♪ From my head to my toes ♪

♪ I'm just one great big nose
of a bear ♪

♪ And as my nostrils
Lead me through my day ♪

cleaned clothes ♪

I love the smell of brownies.

Blueberries.

I love that smell.

A skunk! [laughter].

Pineapple smells really good.

Boy, those are some
really great smells.

do you want to sniff something?

Something furry? [chuckles]

Yeah. Now, sniff me.

Go ahead!

So, how do I smell?

[chuckles]

Why, thank you.

You know, I love sniffing you

and it's nice to sniff

but sometimes, it's nice
to get sniffed, too!

Hmm?

[sniffing]

Hey,
I'm smelling some new smells.

Let's use our sniffers to see
where it's coming from.

[sniffing]

Ah-ha!

[sniffing]

Ooo, it's definitely in here.

[sniffing]

That's sweet but that's not it.

[sniffing]

Ooo. It's definitely
getting stronger over here.

[sniffing]

Hey, smells like Treelo and

[sniffing]

-Oj -
-Oh. No, no, no, no, Bear.

-No, no, no, Bear.
-Oh, Ojo?

-What's-?
-No, no, no, Bear.

It's Mademoiselle Ojo,
zee great perfume maker.

Yeah.

-[chuckles]
-Oh, I see.

Mademoiselle Ojo.

Yeah. I am about to create
a perfume especially for Treelo.

-Yeah.
-And after zat, it's your turn.

-Yeah.
-Oh, okay.

Sounds good to me.

Oh, ah. A perfume is
a very pleasing smell.

-Now, Treelo...
-Hmm?

Let's see...

Oh boy, want to know what
Treelo perfume smell like?

What Treelo perfume smell like?

Oh, Treelo perfume is a special
blend

of all the things that
say "Treelo" [chuckles]

three parts bananana peel ...

Yeah...

Um, one part zee air
from high up in zee trees...

Oooh.

And two parts zee
dirt that gets caught

between your toes [chuckles]

when you play in the mud.

Oh. [chuckles]

-Here. Have some dirt.
-Ah... oh... Ew... uh...

zat's okay, I already have some.

Mm-hmm.

Mix, mix, mix.

Mix, mix, mix, Yeah.

-Shake, shake, shake.
-Shake, shake, yeah.

I call it...

Eww de Treelo!

[spraying] What do you think?

[sniffing] Huh?

-Smells like bananana...
-Ah-ha

-air, and dirt.
-Ah-ha.

Treelo no get it!

Well,
Treelo, I think that's what Ojo.

I mean,
what Mademoiselle Ojo is saying.

That's why she's
calling it "eau"...

"Ewww..."

Oh.

"Eww de Treelo."

-No.
-Oh.

Eww?

[sniffing]

-Ohh.
-Ahh!

Treelo perfume smell good!
Me like how it smells.

-[chuckles]
-Yeah.

So, Mademoiselle Ojo, do
you have any other perfumes

for some of your other friends?

Like your big, furry orangy
friend who like

-to cha cha cha?
-But, of course,

I have a perfume for you, Bear!
I call eet...

"Eww de Bear."

[chuckles]

It has all the smells
that make me think of you.

Oh.

One part the smell of honey

as you spread it
on a corn fritter...

Ooo. I love that smell!

-Uh-huh.
-Honey, yeah.

and-and part zee flowers
in your window box...

[sniffing] Ahh!

They do smell sweet, don't they?

Ah-ha, And-and part zee
smell that

really makes
me think of Bear [chuckles]

old couch!

-[laughter]
-Old couch?

-Oh yeah. That's funny.
-Yes!

Because that's the place
in the Big Blue House

where I like to play the best!

Try some, Bear!

[spraying]

[sniffing] Ooo.

-Ahh!
-Thank you, Mademoiselle Ojo.

It smells very... [sniffing]

-... nice.
-Yeah.

[chuckles]

Eet eez Ma-Mademoiselle
Ojo's pleasure, Bear.

Come now, Treelo.

We must find some ingredients
for "Ewww de Tutter. "

Oh!

-No, Ew!
-Huh?

[sighs]

Resevoir, Bear!

-Come now, Treelo!
-Later, you two!

[chuckles]

-[Shadow's laughter]
-Hey.

-Did you hear that?
-[Shadow's laughter]

That sounds like Shadow!

Let's see if we can find her.
Come on!

Shadow!

Hm.

I thought I heard her out here.

Hey, maybe if we look real hard

and sing our song together,
she'll appear.

Ready?

Oh.

where is Shadow? ♪

♪ Where can Shadow be... ♪

[laughter]

Hey you big old bear!

I'm right here!

Oh, hello, Shadow!

-[laughter]

So what have you been doing
on this fine spring day!

Oh, I've just been
lazing in the grass

and catching the wonderful
smells

that waft by on the wind.

Ooo. Wafting.

That sounds great.

Well, Shadow, do you happen
to have a story for us today?

Of course, Bear!

I can always sniff
out a story for you!

-[chuckles]
-Just watch.

[magic fairy dust sound]

story to tell ♪

♪ About a town that
lost its smell ♪

♪ Lost its smell,
the story goes ♪

♪ Nothing smelt by any nose ♪

♪ No one could stop
and smell the roses ♪

♪ No bouquet of feet and toes ♪

♪ Not one whiff
of limburger cheese ♪

♪ Sniff as many
skunks as you please ♪

♪ No odor from a garbage can ♪

♪ No aroma from a pizza pan ♪

♪ Now isn't this the strangest
story ever told ♪

Nonsense.
We all just have terrible colds.

Ah-choo.

Uh, my nose is all stuffed up.

I can't smell a thing.

[blowing nose]

Uh.

That was great!

Imagine if there were no smells!

Oh it would be very confusing,
Bear!

Mmm.

We'd never know when
dinner was ready, or

when it was time to wash things!

That's true.

I guess smells tell us a lot
about the world around us.

Indeed they do!

Well, I'm off.

[laughter]

Ooo, I'm smelling a new smell.

[sniffing]

It's kind of faint but I think
it's coming from over here.

[sniffing]

Woo... Whatever it is, it's
definitely coming from out here.

-Pew...
-Oh. Hey, Pip and Pop.

-Whoa.
-Hi Bear.

Guys...
do you happen to smell...

-That stinky smell!
-Oh yeah.

What is that, Bear?

I don't know.
I was wondering myself.

Pew...

Hey,
I know, maybe we can find it.

Huh?

[sniffing]

It's definitely coming
from over there.

Come on!

-Are you sure?
-Okay, Bear.

Oh my goodness.

-Phew!
-Oh my!

Oh boy!

Uh, the smell seems to be it's
strongest right around here.

-It sure is!
-You ain't kiddin'!

What is that?

[laughter]

Did you hear something?

[chuckles] But I sure
do smell something.

Well, whatever that smell is,

it seems to be coming
from around here somewhere.

Maybe we'll just be heading
on back to the pond, Bear.

Yeah,
I hear those clams a-calling me.

-Me too!

-Oh. W-w-wait.
-Where are you, guys going?

Look who's here.

-Hey, Ojo.
-Hey Ojo.

Look, it's Snook!

How're you doin', "stinky guy?"

Hey, guys, I'm doin' fine.
Just my ol' stinky self.

[chuckles]

-[chuckles]
-I'll say...

This is our old friend,
Snook the Skunk.

How you doing?

It's been a while.

What have you been up to?

Well, Bear, you know me,

I've just been taking time
to smell up the roses.

[chuckles] I see.

Oh. Snook showed me a new way

into your secret cave

that even you can fit in, Bear.

Hey, you guys,
come around the back, okay?

-Oh, sure, Ojo.
-Yeah. Okay.

-Let's go.
-Wh-this way.

-Oh, over there.
-[grunt]

I think I can fit.

-Yay!
-Alright!

So, how you doin' Snook?

Stinkin' up the place, as usual?

Oh,
you know, fellas, I do my best.

[chuckles]

Hey, listen, guys, Snook was
telling me

about some smells
that, well, I never knew about.

-Mm-hmm.
-Really?

Oh yeah, Bear. Well, you know,
when you're a skunk like me

you smell stuff that nobody
ever stops to smell.

-Really?
-Sure, fellas.

Like-Like the smell of the
slime a slug leaves

as it's
crawling across the ground...

-he-heh. Or, or, or...
-Ew.

cow breath.

[sniffing]

Mm-mm.

There's nothing like it.

Uh... I can imagine [chuckles]

I guess some creatures like
different kinds of smells.

Sure, sure, Bear.

There's a world
of stinky smells out.

I can't get enough
of that stinky stuff.

[chuckles]

You're a real stink expert.

-Mm-hmm.
-You sure are.

Hey, Snook, do you
suppose you want to play

a game of hide and seek.

Oh, Okay, Ojo. Sure, why not.

Heh. Oh. Just as long as
we don't play anything scary.

I-I don't like being startled.

Don't worry. It's a calm game.

Bear, you're it.

Start counting.

[chuckles]

How did I I was gonna be it.

Okay... one, two, ...

Oh, by the way,
this is going to take a while.

So, I'll meet you
back at the house...

Ready or not, here I come.

Um...

by the way, um... how do
I actually get out of here...

um, hello?

Ahh...
the attic. Isn't it great?

Sometimes I like to come up here
and just look out at the stars.

It's also where I talk
to a special friend.

Let's see if we can find her.

Ahh! There she is.

-Hello, Luna!
-Hello, Bear!

How was your day today?

Oh it was great!

Filled with all kinds of smells!

-Really?
-Oh yeah.

Well, you know me, Luna-

-the first day of spring and...
-Your sniffer goes crazy!

[laughter]

And what about your friends?

Well, Tutter captured smells
in bottles

for his museum of
smell-the Smelleseum.

Oh. [chuckles] That Tutter.

What will he think of next?
[chuckles]

Yeah.

Oh, and Ojo made perfume

that reminded
her of her friends.

Oh. That's grand.

You know Bear,

[sniffing]

I love to smell all
the fragrances of the earth

as they rise up
into the night sky.

-You do?
-Oh yes.

[sniffing]

I love to smell the crisp,
clean smell of the night air.

It lets me know it's
time for me to rise.

Wow.

-I never knew that!
-Hmm.

Well, Luna,

would you sing
the "Goodbye Song" with me

before you go?

I'd love to Bear.
