Oooo. Tell me. Did you just have
toast with honey on it?

Because you smell all sweet,
like honey!

[sniffing]

Well, you just smell good all the time!

Anyway, today,

I am playing an exciting
game of checkers with Tutter.

He's in the kitchen.
Let's go see how he's doing!

So, Tutter, have you
figured out your next move?

I don't know, I don't know.

Where should I move?
Sometimes it's just so hard to think.

Okay, okay.

There! I did it!

Okay, it's your move, Bear.
Anytime you're ready…

Okay, now where should I move…

Make that move, Bear.
Move the old checkers.

[laughing] Whenever you're
ready! Any old time, Bear.

[mumbling]

Tutter, is something wrong?

What? Something wrong?

With me? I don't think so, Bear.

[laughing]

Really?
Are you sure you're okay?

I'm okay, Bear.

Gee wiz, Bear! Are you
ever gonna make your move?

Okay, okay Tutter.
Okay, let's see…

-I think I'll move…
-Yeah, yeah, yeah.

-[laughing]
-Ah!

-Here!
-Great! Great move, Bear.

[laughing]
Now I've got to move.

[mumbling]

Um…

Tutter, do you feel
you have to go somewhere?

Go? What?

Because if you have
to go to the bathroom, it's okay.

You should go.

The bathroom? Me?

Sure.

If you ever have to go to the bathroom,

even if you're in the middle of doing
something or having fun,

you should go.

It's okay, Tutter.

I'll be waiting right
here when you get back.

Really?

But, Bear, I don't want to leave.

Don't you see?
I'm winning, Bear! I'm winning!

Tutter, the game will still be here

and yes, you will still be
winning when you get back.

Really, Bear?
Well that's good! You know why?

'Cause I gotta go Bear.

Okay, Tutter!

Sometimes it's kind of hard
to stop having fun

and take the time to go to
the bathroom and use the potty.

Yep, the potty!

Everybody and every creature
has to poop sometimes.

Birds, bunnies, bugs…
[birds' chirping]

Even fish too!

[blobbing]

When you're a baby,
you wear a diaper.

But as you grow up,

your diaper gets kind of
droopy and uncomfortable,

so that's when you want
to start to learn

to use the toilet or the potty.

A potty is kind of a kid-sized
toilet, made just for you!

It's great when you can take
care of going to the bathroom

all by yourself.

That way, you will always
stay clean and dry.

Yeah…

[music]

Hey, do you want to know a secret?

To learn to use the potty,
all you have to do is…

listen to your body!

That's right!

If you listen to your body,

every time you
have to go to the potty,

you'll always get to the potty
right on time.

And soon you, too,
will be using the Potty!

♪ Your diapers hardly fit at all ♪

I know you know a lot about
going to the bathroom.

When I was two I learned to
use the potty. When I was two.

Wow.

I just go to the bathroom.

I go to the bathroom
when I have to go.

I just have to go!

I just have to go!

If you do potty, it's all like…

You're, like, growing up.

And you're gonna be
like a bigger person.

Boy, you guys are potty experts!

Hey.
[Tutter humming]

I wonder how Tutter's doing?
Let's find out.

Tutter!

Is everything okay in there?

TUTTER: Just fine,
Bear, just fine!

I just had to poop!
I'm almost done.

That's good, Tutter.

Take your time.
There's no hurry.

I know, Bear. I know.

I always take my time
when I use the potty.

Sometimes I even
look at a picture book!

But I just got to wipe, Bear!
And I'll be right there.

It's very important to wipe.

And I gotta wash my hands, Bear!

Can't forget to wash my hands!

My Grandma Flutter taught me to.

Washing your hands
is very important too.

It's great to be clean
after using the potty.

And healthier too!

[sigh of relief]

Boy, I feel much better now.

-Much better!
-That's great, Tutter!

But are you sure you did everything?

Well, let's see…

I pooped… then I wiped.

I washed my hands… and then…

[exclaim]
I'll be right back!

[toilet flushing]

Flushing is very important, too.

All done, Bear! I'm all
finished using the potty.

That's great Tutter.
You are quite the potty expert.

Thank you, Bear.

I did it all by myself!

-But, Bear?
-Yes, Tutter?

We still have a checker game to finish!

-That's right! Let's go!
-Yeah! Oh boy.

[music]

Well, my dear Tutter,
I believe it's your move.

Very well. Let's see now…

But… I mean… you.. then I…

Tutter, you've won.

Yes, I have, Bear. I have!

[laughing]

Boy! And it's all thanks to you, Bear.

Me? Really?

Yeah. Because once I finished
using the potty,

it was so much easier to think.

So much easier!

[laughing]

Well, that's great, Tutter.

[laughing]

So, wanna play another game?

Sure, Bear, sure! I'm raring
to go, raring to go, Bear.

TREELO: Bear! Bear!

Bear, Come quick, come quick!
Me worried about Ojo!

-Ojo? Is she okay?
-Come see! Come see!

What about our game, Bear?

You set up the pieces,
and I'll be right back.

Okay, Bear. But hurry.

OJO: Bear! Bear!

Ojo, are you okay in there?

OJO: Are you alone, Bear?

Don't come in if you're not alone, okay?

Um, okay.

Treelo,
I think Ojo needs a little privacy,

you know, for a minute.

Why don't you wait
downstairs with Tutter.

Ok, Bear.

Me hope Ojo okay.

I'm sure she is.
And thanks for calling me.

Um, Ojo. It's okay. I'm alone.

So Ojo, tell me, what's going on?

Well, Treelo and I, we were
playing hide and go seek,

and… well, I knew
I had to go to the bathroom…

And, Bear, I almost made it,
I almost made it.

But I didn't get here in time.

Bear, I feel so bad…

Ojo. It's okay.
Accidents can happen to anyone.

-Really? To anyone?
-Yep.

And it's great that you did your best
to try to get to the potty.

Now why don't you finish up,
and I'll just clean up the floor.

-Okay?
-Okay.

Thanks for helping, Bear.

But Bear, are you sure it's okay?

Of course it's okay, Ojo.

In fact,

the next time you have to go
to the potty,

just try to get to there a little earlier.

Hey! In fact,

the next time you think
you have to go to the potty,

it probably means you do
have to go to the potty!

But Bear, what do you do
when you're not at home

and you have to go to the bathroom?

I mean, like,
when you're in a strange place,

how do you let someone know
you have to go?

Good question, Ojo.

Well, if you're in a strange place
and you have to go to the potty,

you can always say
"May I use the bathroom?"

Or… here's another way…

Ask "Where is the bathroom?"

That way, the grownups around you
will know you have to go to the potty,

and they'll show you
where the bathroom is.

Oh! That's a good idea, Bear!

Well I'm all washed
up and ready to play!

I gotta go finish up my game
of hide and seek. Bye Bear.

OJO: Ready or not here I come!

Well, I'm glad Ojo feels better.

[Treelo lands]

[Treelo laughing]

Hi, Bear!

Hey, Treelo! What's up?

Bear, Ojo go to bathroom.

That's right, Treelo.
Ojo used the potty.

How come no more diapers?

How come you don't have
to wear a diaper anymore?

-Yeah.
-Well, as you grow up,

you learn to use the potty or the toilet.

-Right?
-Oh, right. Toilet.

Hey! Do you remember
when you used to wear a diaper?

-Treelo wear diaper?
-That's right.

-Really?
-In fact, I have a picture of it

right here.

-Picture! Me want to see!
-See, Treelo?

Oh, look!

Treelo in diaper.

[laughing]

Yeah. Remember how hard it
was to get around in a diaper?

Yeah, hard to climb trees and
swing when you're in a diaper.

BEAR: That's right,
when you start to get bigger,

diapers slow you down
and make it hard to swing

and do other things
that you want to do.

Yeah.

Treelo not wear diapers now.
Treelo big!

That's right, Treelo. You are big now.

Yeah, Treelo big!

OJO: Treelo!
I can't find you anywhere!

OJO: Treelo. Where are you?

That's Ojo? Oh, Treelo forgot, Bear.

Treelo play hide and seek with Ojo.

Yeah! Coming, Ojo!

naturally to us mice, Bear.

Well, Bear,
Ojo and Treelo were telling us

all about the things you
said about the potty.

So we thought we would

It's a very special organization.

Tutter and I played lots of checkers.

And I kept losing.

You know,

for some reason we were
all thinking a lot about…

going to the bathroom
and using the potty today.

Oh, my.

Well, it's something that everybody learns
to do at some point.

And it's great when you can take care
of going to the bathroom all by yourself.

That's true, Bear.

You know, I've always
noticed from up here,

that sometimes the little
ones worry about

leaving their diapers behind.

Yeah. It's hard to give up
something you're used to.

But, you know,

you don't have to leave all the
other things you like behind.

-Like the hugs and cuddles.
-Oh, that's right!

And your mommy and daddy
will still take care of you!

Well, it's time for me to rise up

over the trees and mountains
and cast my glow.
