[sniffing]

[exclaims]

-Hi, Bear.

So you are our mystery sniffer.

Yeah.
I'm sniffin', too.

That's great, Ojo.

Oh, because I'm pretending to
be a big bear, today. Like you.

Well, that's great, Ojo.

Sniff away.

Oh wow!

[clears throat]
[sniffing]

Umm... hmm...

-What's that smell?

Um, Bear?

-I am going berry picking today.

Instead of you
pretending to be a big bear,

would you like to do some
real big bear stuff with me

and go berry picking?

And then when we're done,

you can help me
bake a triple berry pie.

-Hey, guys!

Hi Bear.
Hi Ojo.

Hey, what are those?

These are only the brand new
Aloha Otter Hoops

we just got!

It's the very latest in
Otter fun, don't you know.

Yeah, and we're just trying
them out! Want to watch?

-Oh, oh! Can we, Bear?
-Sure!

Okay. Alright. Ready, Pop?

-Ready!

batteries or something?

Well, sometimes when you're
trying something new.

You have to try it a few
times before you get it right.

where the ground is flatter.

Well, I guess some things just
take practice, don't they, Ojo?

Since you're being
a big bear today,

why don't you tell
us what practice is?

Sure, Bear!

[clears throat]

Okay. Umm...

Practice is when

you do something,
umm... lots of times

so you can learn how to do it.

-Right, bear?
-That's right, Ojo!

You can practice anything,
like... for example...

tying your shoes...

[music]

Saying the alphabet...

Yeah.

A, b, c, d!

Very good Ojo!

You can even practice
playing the drums

until you play
your favorite song.

[drum playing]

[both laughing]

Well, Bear.

Doing big bear
things with you today

that's sort of like
practising, too, isn't it?

Hey, you're right, Ojo!

You are practising
to be a big bear.

The important thing
about practice is don't give up,

and then you can be good
at just about anything!

Yeah.

I'm in band,
so I have to practice a lot.

letters at school.

I'm good at reading, but I still
have to practice on my math.

I practice my time tables.

I practice on my time tables,

I like to do everything.

I practice making my bed.

Takes a lot of practice.

I sing in the choir,
and I practice a lot.

Boy, you've practised
some good stuff.

Yeah. You guys must
be really good by now.

Okay, Ojo, it's time for you
and me to do some berry-picking!

Okay, Bear!

Aah! Here's some berry bushes,
right here.

Aah! Ha, ha!

Now, Ojo, you want to pick
the berries that are ripe,

like the dark red
one right here,

or the dark blue
ones right here.

Okay. The dark blue ones.
Gotcha.

But, oh, the green ones...
like these right there.

Do not pick the green ones
because they are not ripe.

Oh! The green ones are not ripe.

-Right!
-Gotcha.

Oh, that means they're
not ready to eat.

Also, you should
always let somebody big

tell you what berries
to pick before you do it,

because there are some berries
that you should not eat.

Nah-uh.

Okay.

Um, Bear.

Is this a good one, right here?

That's a very good one, Ojo.

-And now you, watch me.
-Okay.

-Pick it.
-Okay.

-Put it in your basket.
-Okay.

-Hmm!
-Hmm!

that I'm going
to go back into the house

to the kitchen,

and get everything
ready for our pie crust.

And while you stay out
here berry-picking,

when your basket is full,

you can come in.

Oh, oh, oh!

You mean I can stay out here and
berry-pick all by myself. Bear?

-Like a big bear?!
-Yeah.

How's the hooping?

Bear! We hooped! We did it!

♪ It's called the "otter hoop"
bear do you want to play? ♪

♪ -It's really, really easy
-All you gotta do is twirl ♪

♪ I'm ready to learn go
on and give it a whirl ♪

♪ Now listen up bear and
I'll give you the scoop ♪

♪ Just watch my friend Pip
he's the master of the hoop ♪

♪ I puts it 'round my middle
and I starts to churn ♪

♪ And with the jiggle of his
wiggle it begins to turn ♪

♪ faster and faster
till it starts to slip ♪

♪ And when it hits the ground
it's my turn Pip ♪

♪ Keep your eyes on Pop
he can't be b*at that ♪

♪ Hoop'll squiggle down
from his head to his feet ♪

♪ If it hits the ground
well that's ok ♪

We have our berries.

Now what do we
need for the pie crust?

[Shadow laughing]

sounded like Shadow laughing.

Oh, yes, the ingredients
for the pie crust.

Well, maybe a few more berries.

I wonder how Ojo's doing
with her berry picking?

[Ojo's gasping]

Bear! Bear! Bear!

There's something out here!

Please! There's something in
the bushes. C'mon. Hurry!

Ojo! Huh?

-Ojo!
-Bear! Hurry!

Ojo! What is it? What's wrong?

there's something in there...

It's a monster, I think.

Ojo, take it easy.

Now, there are no such
things as monsters.

I was picking
berries right there.

[stutters]

I heard something
moving inside the bushes.

And I looked and there were
these two really big eyes!

And they were looking
right at me, Bear!

Okay. Okay, tell you what!
I'll look.

-You stay right there.
-Ok, you look.

Oh! I see who it is, Ojo.

Oooh? Oh, no.
Is it a scary monster?

'Cause you said there's no
such thing as scary monsters.

It's not a monster, Ojo.

It's...

Rabbit.

-It's Rabbit?
-Hi Rabbit.

Rabbit, why did you do that?

Oooh...

You were picking berries?

Ha! Well, I'm glad it was you.

[rabbit hopping]

-Bye Rabbit.

Oh, brother.
[exhales]

It was just rabbit
inside the bushes?

How will I ever get to be
a big bear

if I can't even
pick berries by myself

without getting scared!

Oh, I'll never be big!

Ojo, it's okay to be scared.

Everybody's scared sometimes...

Even you, Bear.

Yup, even me.

Now,
why don't we take your basket

full of these delicious berries

and you can help me
make that triple berry pie?

[laughing]

Well, okay, Bear.

And you know, even if I
did get a little bit scared,

I still picked a whole bunch of
really good berries, didn't I?

You sure did, Ojo. Come on.

[slurping]

Bear.

You know, I was thinking...

What, Ojo?

Well, I was thinking that
when I woke up this morning,

I didn't know how to
pick berries,

or bake,
or other things, either.

But now I do.

That's right, Ojo. You practised
a lot of big bear stuff today?

Uh-uh, umm...

By the way, can I have another
piece of triple berry pie, Bear?

I think that eating triple
berry pie

is a very important
thing for big bears

to know how to do.

[laughing]

Wow! Some day, huh?

Why don't we go up and tell
Luna all about it. C'mon.

Oh! There she is!

I was just about to throw
my light on the houses below.

And how was your day
in the Big Blue House?

It was great, Luna.

Ojo wanted to practice
being a big bear,

so we went berry picking!

Aaah, Berry picking!
How wonderful!

Yeah, and she got so good at it,

that she picked all the berries
for our pie, all by herself!

Oh! And Pip and Pop?

[laughing]

Well,
they got some new Otter hoops.

They couldn't "hoop" at first,

but they got great at it.
With a little practice!

[laughs]
That's great.

You know Bear,

it took some practice
for me to learn to rise

and set over the earth.

-It did?
-Oh! Yes.

And peeking out from behind the
clouds took a few tries as well.

Wow!

I didn't know that.

You sure make it look so easy.
