- Come on, Wolfie, shake. [giggles]

[cabinets thump shut]

- Oops, I forgot about these almonds.

Rider, would you take them over to grammy?

- Sure, come on, Wolfie.

[dog barking]

- Thanks honey.

- [giggles] Mom.

[giggling] [dog barking]

[birds chirping] [squirrel squeaking]

- What does it have?

[dog barks] [grunts]

[giggling]

[squirrel squeaking]

Did you see that, Wolfie,

that squirrel has something in its mouth.

It's an acorn.

Squirrels love to eat acorns.

Where'd the acorn go?

Hm, come on, Wolfie, we have to watch and wait.

[squirrel squeaking]

Whoa, it's burying the acorns

like some kind of pirate treasure.

Ahoy Captain Squirrel.

Hey wait, I thought you were gonna bury that acorn here.

This time I'm not letting that squirrel out of my sight.

Oh, the squirrel's burying acorns all over the place,

but why?

[dog huffs] You're right,

I bet grammy will know.

So long, Captain Squirrel.

[dog barking]

- Why hello Rider.

Wolfie. [dog barks]

- Grammy, we saw a squirrel burying acorns.

If it's hungry, why doesn't it just eat the acorns?

- That's a good question.

Hm, when you go to the grocery store,

do you eat everything you buy right when you get home?

- No, we put the food away and eat it later.

- Squirrels do the same thing.

- They bury the acorns so they can eat them later?

- Yes, bury them now and eat them in the winter

when there's less food around.

- That's really smart.

Oh, I almost forgot,

mom wanted me to give you these.

- Why thank you, Rider.

Would you like a cookie?

- Yes please.

[giggles] I'm gonna save a cookie for later

just like the squirrel.

[Grammy laughs]

- Good idea, I'll save these for later too.

[laughing]
