[Rosie]: Mmm, that was yummy.

¿Les gustó? Did everyone enjoy their meal?

Are you kidding, Margarita?

I wouldn't miss your delicious barbacoa for anything!

Yeah, Tía, we love, love, love coming to your restaurant.

I want to stay here all day!

So, can I stay here all day?

[giggling]

We have stayed all day. Look!

[Rosie gasps]: OÓrale, it's nighttime!

[yawning]

I think we need to get sleepy Iggy home to bed.

Así parece.

In fact, it's time for me to close up the restaurant!

But I will need someone to help me turn off the lights.

Rosie's Rule:

Sometimes the best thing about your tía's restaurant

is helping turn off the lights.

William, Penelope, hello!

I thought you were coming to clean later.

Hello, Margarita!

Yeah, we thought we'd get an early start

at work tonight.

You're going to work now?

But it's nighttime!

Yes, it is!

We clean restaurants all night long

while they are closed.

All night long? But when do you sleep?

[chuckles] When you work at night,

you sleep during the day!

Mama Macaroni!

I know the two people in the whole wide world

who work at night and sleep during the day!

Two people! With jobs! At night! And I know them! Oh yeah--

Actually, Rosie Posie,

there are many people who have jobs at night.

Well that's new information! Who else works at night?

Mira, Rosie.

[Papá]: Those construction workers, for example.

They fix the lights at night when the roads aren't too busy.

Look, some bus drivers work at night too

because people still need to get from one place to another,

all times of the day and night!

Wow-mazing.

[gasps] Maybe I can have a nighttime job!

But what would it be? I've gotta know.

What nighttime job would I have?

Maybe...

♪ I'll be an acrobat who tumbles on the moon ♪

[swing squeaking]

[Papá]: Let's get you to bed, sleepy Iggy.

Guess what, Gatita? I'm not going to bed yet.

[curious meowing]

Because I'm gonna have a nighttime job

and stay up all night long!

[meowing]

-Hmm... -[purring]

Now what could my nighttime job be?

[gasps] That's it!

I'm going to be...

And you will be Nighttime Super Kitty!

[heroic meowing]

Rosie's Rule:

If you're gonna be a nighttime super kid,

you've gotta have a nighttime super kitty!

[Rosie]: Glowy stickers.

Headlamp. I'm ready to go to work!

Super Rosie to the rescue!

[meowing]

-[Rosie]: Zoom! Zazoomie! -[chuckling]

-[Rosie giggling] -That's funny.

I think I saw someone who looks just like Rosie

zooming around our kitchen.

[Rosie]: Zazoomie-kabloomie!

Yep. Definitely Rosie.

¿Qué pasa, calabaza?

[Rosie]: i¡Nada, empanada! Except...

I'm Super Rosie, Nighttime Super Kid!

And this is Gatita, Nighttime Super Kitty!

[heroic meowing]

A nighttime super kid?

Yup! My nighttime job is to help people

and save the day!

I mean night. Save the day at night.

[confused meowing]

Hmm... If I'm starting my day at night,

I guess it's...

time for breakfast!

Mmm. Dee-yummy.

Off we go to save the day at night!

[meowing]

[chuckling]

¿Hola? Anybody need saving in here?

[snoring]

[Rosie]: I see Iggy sleeping.

[gasps] But where's Lote?!

Don't worry Iggy, I'll find Lote for you!

Lote, where are you?

[meowing]

Are you in here? Are you in here?

Where could he be? Where is that silly Lote?

What you doing, Wosie?

I'm Super Rosie and I'm looking for...

Oh, Lote. I guess he wasn't lost after all.

Iggy go sleep now.

Ven, Gatita.

We need to do our nighttime job somewhere else.

Super Rosie to the--

Wosie!

[whispering] ...rescue.

Rosie, shouldn't you be asleep?

Nope! Because I'm Super Rosie, Nighttime Super Kid!

And this is Gatita, Nighttime Super Kitty.

[snoring]

[whispering] Gatita!

[meowing]

-Crystal, do you need help? -I don't think so.

I'm just giving Dragon a snack before I put him to bed.

Oh. Well, does Dragon need help?

Nope. He's just eating some lettuce.

Does the lettuce need help?

[giggles] No. Good night, Rosie.

I have to find somebody who needs help.

Or I can't do my nighttime job!

I need to call Abuela!

[beeps]

Abuela? You're upside down!

i¡Hola, mi niña!

I'm doing my nighttime stretches.

Ooh, that feels good.

[Rosie giggling]

¿Qué pasa?

I'm Super Rosie, Nighttime Super Kid!

And this is Gatita, Nighttime--

[snoring]

[Rosie]: Gatita!

[startled meowing]

I'm trying to do my nighttime job,

but I can't find anybody to help!

[gasps] Do you need help, Abuela?

[straining] I might need some help

getting out of this stretching position.

[grunting] Nope. I've got it!

Mira, Rosalía.

I know you'll find a way to save the day.

Just keep your eyes open.

i¡Adiós, granito de arroz!

[Rosie]: i¡Ciao bacalao!

Abuela's right, Gatita.

We need to keep our eyes open...

[snoring]

[Rosie]: Open Gatita! i¡Abre los ojos!

[startled meowing]

Gatita, your mouse is hanging off a cliff!

If he falls, he'll swoosh away into the hot lava river!

[alarmed meowing]

This is a job for... Super Rosie!

Whooshing over the hot lava river!

Zipping around the prickly tree forest!

Ow, eee, ooh, ow, yikes!

Huh? Hang on! i¡Ya voy, ratoncito!

[panting]

[meowing]

Huh?

Gatita, I'm supposed to save the mouse.

[sad meowing]

Está bien, Gatita. You're a good super kitty.

Let's get back to work!

Pardon me. I'm looking for Super Rosie!

That's me!

Oh, good.

I'm here to tell you... it's time for bed.

What?! But I haven't even saved the day at night yet!

[groaning]

I tried to do my nighttime job

and help Iggy and Dragon and Gatita,

and I even tried to help Abuela and--

I need to flop.

Breathe in... [inhaling]

Breathe out... [exhaling]

Wiggle about.

Now I'm ready to figure this out.

Vamos a ver.

There must be a way I can still do my nighttime job.

[Crystal]: Mom, Marco. Dragon is missing!

-The bunny?! -What happened?!

I must have left his cage door open and now he's gone!

i¡Ay no!

We'll find him, Crystal.

Who knew we'd have a bunny emergency at night?

Night?! This sounds like a job for...

Super Rosie!

Not here.

Uh-uh.

[meowing]

Not here either.

[gasps] Lettuce! Hmm...

[gasps] Dragon! Here, bunny, bunny.

[grunting with effort]

[giggling]

i¡Te tengo!

[Crystal]: You found him!

Thanks, Rosie. You saved the day!

Well, night.

[all laughing]

That's because I'm Super Rosie,

Nighttime Super Kid!

♪ At nighttime when I snuggle and get cozy in my bed ♪

♪ Guess what some people are waking up ♪

♪ To go to work instead

♪ 'Cause they have jobs to do at all different times of day ♪

♪ They work when we're asleep and they sleep in the day ♪

♪ Doctors and nurses construction workers ♪

♪ Stay up while stars are bright to do their jobs at night ♪

♪ Doctors at the hospital are always by our side ♪

♪ Taxi drivers drive at night if you need a ride ♪

♪ Pilots fly their planes from the sunset till the dawn ♪

Sometimes police and firefighters

stay up all night long!

♪ Doctors and nurses construction workers ♪

♪ Stay up while stars are bright to do their jobs at night ♪

♪ Yes so many people have jobs at night ♪

Buenas noches, my little Super Rosie.

Good night, Mom. Buenas noches, Papá.

Rosie's Rule:

It's fun having a nighttime job.

But even nighttime super kids need to sleep.

[meowing]

And so do super kitty cats. [giggling]

On With The Show!

[Crystal]: It's finally here!

The opening night of The Brave Butterfly!

I can't wait to see my very first play!

You're gonna love it, Rosie. Take it from me. I'm .

Whoa, ah!

Take it from me!

I could really use some help getting this inside.

[giggles] Coming, Mom!

Rosie's Rule:

Sometimes it takes three people to carry one thing.

[Mom]: Rosie!

Whew!

Welcome to...

the theatre!

Mama Macaroni! What's everyone doing?

They're getting ready for the play.

Everyone here has a different job.

The costume designer works on costumes,

the lighting operator is in charge of the lights,

the actors perform on stage.

[Rosie]: Fuen-tastical!

It is fuen-tastical.

Everyone has their own job

and together, they make a fabulous play!

What's your job, Crystal?

I'm the set decorator!

[Crystal]: I made all the stuff that makes the stage look like

a park!

[Rosie]: Wow-mazing.

I'd better get home and change for... the theatre.

[giggling] Can I stay here with Crystal?

Sure, Rosie Posie.

I'll be back soon with Papá and Iggy.

Who's excited about the play, I am!

I'm gonna find someone to help hang this backdrop.

Okay!

So good...

minutes until showtime, everyone, minutes!

Baker Calvin? You have a job for the play too?

I thought you were a baker!

I am a baker, Rosie!

But today I'm Mr. Calvin, the director!

I'm in charge of making sure everything runs smoothly.

Whoa. Everything is a lot of things.

It is indeed! But so far everything is going perfectly.

No problems at all!

[person speaking over headset]

We have a problem! Bebe can't come today!

Oh no!

Oh no is right! She has a super important job.

And we don't have anyone to take her place!

I can do the super important job,

Mr. Calvin!

Me, this girl, right here!

Okay! Congratulations, Rosie!

You got the job!

i¡OÓrale!

Oh, yeah! Have a job! Don't know! What it is--

Uh, what's my job?

Your job is...

[person speaking over headset]

What?! Hang on, Rosie.

One of the actors is stuck in his caterpillar costume.

I'll be back soon.

I wonder what my super important job is.

I've gotta know!

♪ I'll be the costume maker sewing sparkly gowns ♪

♪ Hang twinkly lights in the star's dressing room ♪

That would be supertastical. [giggling]

[gasps]

Whoa!

Thank you, thank you! [giggling]

[gasps] Maybe my super important job is being an actor!

I'm going to be...

The Butterfly!

[playful humming]

Whoa, whoa!

[giggling]

Hi, Rosie. Uh, what are you doing?

Fluttering!

I'm an actor,

and I'm playing the Brave Butterfly!

Wait a secamadoodle.

Quinn... why are you wearing that butterfly costume?

Because I'm playing the Brave Butterfly.

Well that's new information! Are you sure?

Yes! Watch.

Flutter flutter, flutter flutter,

flutter flutter!

[Rosie]: Wow-mazing!

Rosie's Rule: Sometimes your friend

is just born to play the butterfly.

[Mr. Calvin]: Phew! Problem solved!

Now, Rosie, what were we talking about?

My super important job!

Oh yes! So--

[person speaking over headset]

We can't find how many banana props?!

But the play is in--Ah! Very soon!

Five minutes till showtime, everyone.

So sorry, Rosie, please stand by.

Hmm. The play is starting soon

and I still don't know what my job is.

[gasps] I have an idea!

-Calling Abuela? -Yup.

[beeps]

Why is it so dark?

I'm looking for my favourite hat in the closet,

but it's very dark in here.

¿Qué pasa?

I have a super important job

for the play,

but I don't know what it is!

Let me turn on my flashlight

so I can see better.

i¡Mucho mejor! Ah! Here's my hat!

See? It worked like a little spotlight!

Spotlight? Maybe that's my job!

Gotta go, Abuela!

Now, where is that spotlight?

I think I found it!

[Rosie]: Hi, Grandpa Liu!

Well, hello, Rosie!

I have a super important job for the play.

And that job is... spotlight turner-on-er!

You mean spotlight operator?

I can do that job too.

Hmm. It's just that,

I'm the spotlight operator for the play.

-You are?! -I am.

[Grandpa Liu]: See?

I'm in charge of turning the spotlight on and off

and moving it around so the audience can see the actors.

[Grandpa Liu]: Good job, Quinn!

I guess I still need to figure out

what my super important job is.

Ugh! Yes. My job!

That means the play is starting!

But I still don't know what my super important job is,

and the play's about to start and--

Welcome, everyone!

Thank you for coming to our performance

[cheering]

On with the show!

[clears throat]

I said... on with the show!

Where's the curtain puller?

[gasps] Is that my job?

Yes, Rosie! That's your job!

[giggling]

Woo-hoo!

Okay, let's just make sure everyone is ready!

Set designer!

Spotlight operator!

Actor!

And... curtain puller!

That's me!

Without further ado, The Brave Butterfly!

Here I go!

[applause, cheering]

Good going, Rosie!

Everyone did their jobs, and now the show can begin!

♪ When I go to Tía's restaurant I eat the food I like ♪

♪ Lots of people work together

♪ To make sure my meal goes right ♪

♪ When putting on a play the cast knows what to say ♪

♪ The crew does sets and lights ♪

♪ For a show that's out of sights ♪

♪ Greeters, chefs and servers

♪ Theatre workers

♪ All together as one to get the job done ♪

♪ So when I fly

In an airplane way up high!

♪ The airplane crew makes sure that ♪

♪ We fly safely through the sky ♪

♪ A pilot drives the airplane the co-pilot checks the map ♪

♪ And all the flight attendants keep everything on track ♪

♪ Greeters, chefs and servers

♪ Airplane workers

♪ All together as one to get the job done ♪

♪ Working together to get the job done ♪

I'm not a scared butterfly anymore.

Now, I'm the Brave Butterfly!

[cheering and applause]

And... curtain!

Go on, everyone. Take a bow!

[audience cheering]

[audience member]: Bravo!

Rosie's Rule: People can have different jobs,

but they all work together

to make something... theatre-tastical!

[audience cheering]

[grunting]

Aw...

What's wrong, primo?

I'm practicing scoring a goal for my soccer game today.

But I keep missing the net!

Hmm. I can do the Chiquiti Boom cheer!

I love that cheer!

Chiquiti boom a la...

Hmm. I forget what comes next.

[grunting]

[Rosie]: Uh-oh.

Hmm. Chiquiti boom...

Okay, primo! I've got it now!

Chiquiti boom a la... a la...

[grunting]

[groaning]

Ugh! How am I gonna remember the cheer to help Javi?

[Iggy]: Chiquiti boom a la bim bom ba!

A la bio, a la bao, a la bim bom ba!

[gasps]

[both]: Chiquiti boom a la bim bom ba!

A la bio, a la bao, a la bim bom ba!

Javi, Javi, rah rah rah!

[grunting]

Ooh...

-[gasps] -Ooh...

-[chuckles] -Yay! Woo-hoo!

I did it!

Iggy! You helped me remember the cheer!

And that helped me score a goal!
