- Zou to the rescue!

(soft music)

(giggling)

- Nanna! Grandma!

Mom! Dad! Grandpa!

Please hurry up.

We'll be late for the Family Orientation Race!

(chirps)

We've got to find our way around a special course

in the park, and we'll use a map and a compass.

(chirps)

Why? Because it's fun!

(sighs) If we ever get there.

Are you coming?

(all): Ready!

- Oh... Where's Dad?

- Has anyone seen my camera?

I can't find it anywhere!

- Maybe I can help.

(knocking)

- Hello Zou!

Mum and I are leaving now. Are you coming?

(sighs)

- Dad's not ready.

- Why don't you and Grandpa run along with Elzee?

We'll catch up later,

as soon as I find my camera.

- Okay, Dad! Come on, Grandpa. Let's go!

- This family race should be great fun!

- Oh yes. I've been looking forward to it for days.

- Hello there!

- Wait for us!

- Oh! Are we all feeling fit?

- Yes! Yesterday,

Grandpa and I looked at maps of the park all afternoon.

- And we practiced orienteering in the garden.

- So did we! In the shop.

(laughing)

- Hello Zavier!

That's a big backpack you've got there.

You won't go hungry in the race!

- Oh, it isn't lunch.

It's a few bits and bobs to help us find our way

around the course.

You know, a sat nav thing...

- Daddy's got some really clever stuff!

(singsong): We're going to win! We're going to win!

- Oh! We haven't got any stuff like that.

- Don't worry, Zak. Nor have we!

- We haven't either.

(singsong): We're going to win! We're going to win!

Aren't we, Daddy?

- Yes, Zinni

-pops.

(chuckles)

I don't know what I'd do without this little lot.

- Oh?

- I'm not really terribly good at this sort of thing,

and as Zelda's tied up at the beauty salon,

I said I'd partner Zinni

-pops.

So, I'm counting on my equipment to help me out!

(chirping)

- A warm welcome to the four teams taking part

in our Family Orienteering Race!

(cheering)

Now, there are four checkpoint bags,

like this,

dotted at various points around the course.

In each bag are four markers,

each one a different colour to match these bracelets.

And each team will have one of these bracelets.

You have to collect markers

the same colour as your bracelets.

And each team will also be given a map and a compass.

Oh! I'm sorry, Zavier.

I'm afraid you're not allowed any extra equipment,

so you'll have to leave that bag behind with me.

- Oh, but... Do I? Yes, of course...

- Are you still going to win?

(gasps)

- Hmm...

- Daddy? What are we going to do without our special stuff?

- Don't worry, Zinni

-Pops. Daddy's read a map before!

(sighs in relief)

- So, the first team to bring back its four marker cards

will be the winners!

Ready...

Steady...

(blows whistle)

Go!

(cheerful music)

- Hmm!

(chuckles)

- Hmm...

Hmm!

- Look, Grandpa!

- Oh! Well spotted, Zou!

(chirps)

(panting)

Oh! Looks as if Zavier is in trouble!

- Oh, Grandpa?

- Are you all right, Zavier?

(panting)

- Just... a bit of a...

a stitch.

- Hmm...

- Oh! You found your first marker!

- Come along, Zavier.

Take a seat here and get your breath back.

- Hurray! Yippee!

- Zak and Elzee have found their first checkpoint as well!

- Don't worry, Zinnia.

There are still three checkpoints to find.

- Yes, but we're last!

- Zavier? Feeling better now?

- Yes, thanks.

I seem to have got my breath back.

- The first checkpoint's just over there.

- Come along, Zinnia! We haven't lost yet!

- Here we are, Daddy! Just three more to find.

- This way! Uh, no.

That way! We'll soon catch up with the others!

- Oh! Now, we're last!

- Hmm! So we are. But not for long!

That way.

- Let's go!

Thanks, Poc.

(chirps)

Here's our second card, Grandpa. Only two more to find!

And Zavier and Zinnia's card is still here!

We're not last any more!

- But they left the last checkpoint before us.

They should have got here by now.

- Do you think Uncle Zavier's in trouble again?

- I hope not.

But he really isn't a very good map reader,

whatever he tells Zinnia.

- Do you think he needs more help?

- Oh, probably!

But if we help him, it'll slow us down.

- Yes, but maybe we should...

(Zavier gasping)

- Get off! Shoo! No!

(yells in fear)

- Zavier, it's just a dragonfly.

- Daddy! Wait!

Daddy!

(gasps)

- Quickly!

Before Zinnia gets here!

(straining)

- Up you come!

- Look, Uncle Zavier!

- Oh!

- Daddy, where were you?

- Ah

-ha! Look, Zinny!

I've found the second checkpoint!

- Two cards! Two more to go!

- Hmm... This way!

(giggles)

(chuckling)

- Here, little birdy!

Here, birdy!

Be a nice, kind birdy and give Zavier his compass back?

- Hurry up Daddy!

- Yes!

(panting)

- Poc, it's your turn to help.

(chuckling, chirping)

(birds chirping)

- Got it! Whoa!

(panting)

Ooh!

You just have to talk to these birds

in a language they understand.

- Three cards! Only one more to go!

And we're in front of Zou.

- Didn't I say I was a rather good map reader?

Now. Let's see. Uh, this way!

- Now, which way?

- I think...

- Oh, yes. Uh...

Zinnia? That way!

- Ooh!

(chuckling)

- Uh...

I meant, this way!

- Ooh! Ooh!

- Come on!

Nothing!

(laughs)

- Zavier!

- Hmm!

(laughs)

Whoa!

(gasping)

(laughs)

- Ooh, ooh!

Four cards! And we're in the lead!

- Come along. This way!

- The winners!

Second!

Third!

And in fourth place...

(sighs)

- Hmm...

- So, ladies and gentlemen.

The winning family team is Zinnia and Zavier!

(cheering)

- Congratulations!

- Good for Zavier!

- Bravo Zinnia!

- And we didn't even need the stuff in Daddy's backpack!

- Hmm...

- Uh, Mrs. Zolli?

I think there's been a bit of a mistake.

Zou and Grandpa are the real winners!

(all): Oh?

- But... Daddy?

- Without Zou's help, Zinnia and I wouldn't have won.

We probably wouldn't have even got around the course!

- Daddy?

Sorry Zinnia, but it's the truth!

I'm not much of a map

-reader and Zou gave up

his chances of winning to help us out,

time and time again!

(laughs)

- Well done!

- Hurrah!

- Good for Zou!

- And Grandpa too!

- That's the spirit!

(laughs)

- Well done, Zou!

- Yeah!
