(giggling)

- Zou and the snowdrift.

(humming a song)

- Ah, excellent, Zou!

Yes, you've really caught that cheeky glint

in your dear grandfather's eye.

- Hmm. Uh, that was a mistake.

A fly landed on my picture and I splatted it

with paint when I shooed it away.

(door opens)

- Hello Zou. Hello everyone.

(greetings)

Not too early, am I?

- No, we were just finishing.

- Right, Zou.

Get your coat.

- Alright, Grandpa.

(chirps)

- Oh, and your Mum asked if I could

take you home too, Elzee.

- Okay!

- Your mum not here yet, Zinnia?

- Actually, we're taking Zak and Zinnia home.

Zavier asked us to pop by his shop, so it's on our way.

(both): We're ready!

- Okay, let's go!

- Bye!

Grandpa, isn't that Uncle Zavier's car?

- Why, yes it is.

- And we had such a wonderful time

when we last visited Zerbier that we thought, "Why not?"

- And Zinni

-pops had such fun in the snow, didn't she?

Such great chums with little Princess Zocha.

- Here's that sweater you asked to borrow, Zelda.

- Oh!

I always thought it was blue.

- Hello Uncle Zavier, Aunt Zelda.

- Hello!

- Oh!

We weren't expecting to see you,

Zigmund and Zoroaster said.

- Oh my word! I'd quite forgotten!

I asked them to pop round.

- Zinnia's with them, so she'll be okay.

(gasps)

- Zinnia!

She'll freeze standing outside the shop!

- Really, Zavier! You can be so forgetful at times!

- Sorry, my sweetheart. I just.

- So you won't be wanting this, then?

(sighs)

- I don't think she really wanted it in the first place.

I imagine they just came round to let us know

about their holiday.

- They're going on holiday again?

- Zou? Could you and Grandpa pop down to Mr. Zoey's for me?

I need a few things.

- Oh, yes!

(chirps)

- Uh, uh, uh!

Poc? That's not bird food.

- Right, Zou. Get your coat.

(chuckles)

- Oh! Are you two going out?

Could you pop this into the post

-box for me, please?

- Of course we can!

- Thank you, Zou!

- See you later, Grandma.

(chuckles)

- My word!

- Wow! Grandpa! Look at all that snow!

It must have snowed in the night.

- It certainly has.

(chuckles)

We'll have our work cut out for us

getting through that lot!

(chirps)

It's a good job they've cleared the streets,

we'd have taken forever to get here if they hadn't!

- They missed a bit!

- My word! They certainly did.

Zavier's going to have fun clearing that

when they get back from their hols!

(chuckles) Whoops!

(gasps)

- Grandpa! Are you alright?

- Yes, I'm okay.

Hmm...

I seem to have lost my key.

You carry on and post Grandma's letter while I find it.

Uh...

(chuckles)

(knocking)

- Huh? Hmm...

Huh?

Hmm!

You heard it too, Poc? I wonder what it is.

- Ah! There it is!

(chuckles)

- Just Grandpa.

(knocking) Ooh!

Hear that, Grandpa?

- What?

(chains clattering)

That car, you mean?

- Uh, yes. Maybe.

(chirps)

(knocking)

- Maybe that was what you heard.

(knocking)

Mr. Zoey?

- Oh, hello there!

Sorry. Didn't realize I had customers.

Just fixing up some shelves in the back room.

- Uh...

- Now, what can I get for you today?

- I've got a list.

Coffee, butter, milk.

Thanks Mr. Zoey. Bye!

- Cheerio.

- Good luck with your shelves!

(knocking)

(gasps)

- That can't be Mr. Zoey.

It sounded like it was coming from back there.

(knocking)

This way, Grandpa!

(knocking)

- Hmm...

- I think it's coming from Uncle Zavier's shop!

Let's have a look.

- The snowdrift's too high for us to see in.

(chirps)

(chirps)

- Poc's seen something!

- You might as well give up, Zoroaster.

No

-one's going to hear us.

The snow's piled up so deep it's muffling the sound.

(sighs)

- We'll just have to wait until it thaws.

(knocking)

- I said you could stop.

- I did.

(knocking)

(gasps)

- It's Zou!

Help!

We can't get out!

It's Zigmund and Zoroaster.

- What are they doing in the shop?

- I don't know Grandpa,

but it looks like they need some help.

- Zou! Get us out of here!

- Don't worry, I'll get help!

- No! Zou! Come back!

(sighs)

- He didn't understand.

We're stuck. Stuck!

Stuck!

- Get a grip, Zoroaster!

It won't be forever!

Just until Zavier and Zelda get back.

- But they're away for a whole week!

- We're stuck.

Stuck!

Stuck!

- Ooh! And a tin of mushy peas please, Mr. Zoey.

I do like a mushy pea.

- Mr. Zoey?

Have you got a couple of spades we could borrow?

- Uh, yes. Yes I...

- Zigmund and Zoroaster are stuck in Zavier's shop.

- Oh!

- Oh! What are they doing there?

I thought Zavier and Zelda were on holiday.

- They are.

- Here we are.

- Thanks Mr. Zoey.

- You're welcome.

- Bye!

- Bye!

Oh, they forgot their basket.

- If only little Zou had understood what we were saying,

we'd have been out of here by now.

- Hmm...

Oh!

- What?

- Oh...

I had a small piece of chocolate in my pocket.

Only it's melted.

Ew!

- Oh no! What now?

Is the shop falling down around our ears?

(chirps)

Oh...

(both): Oh! Oh!

- Oh! Saved!

We're saved!

- Zou!

Oh, how I love that little zebra!

- Our hero!

(chuckles)

- Well!

So, when Zavier asked us to mind the shop for them

while they were away, we said, "Of course we would."

And we stayed at the shop last night.

Lovely apartment they've got upstairs.

- Lovely!

- Lovely. Yes.

But when we got up this morning, there we were,

completely snowed in!

- And if it hadn't been for Zou...

(chuckles)

- I expect you could both do

with a nice cup of hot coffee.

- Oh! That would be...

- "Amazebugs!"

- Oh...

- Zou?

- Uh, I'm afraid we left the shopping at Mr. Zoey's.

The coffee and everything.

Come on, Grandpa! Get your coat!
