(giggling)

- Wee! I love Saturdays!

Let's go on the see

-saw now, Grandpa!

(giggling)

Huh? Where's Poc?

Poc!

- Poc?

- Poc!

- Poc!

Where are you, Poc?

- Poc!

(bird chirping)

- Ah, the sound seems to come from the tree!

(effort grunts)

- I can't see! It's too high!

Still can't see, Grandpa.

- Neither can I, Zou.

- I wish I was as tall as a house,

then I could see everything!

- Well, I can't arrange that,

but I could help you to see what Poc's found

without you having to grow at all!

- How, Grandpa?

- Let''s go to the garage.

- Alright, Grandpa!

(giggling) Poc! We're going now!

(bright music)

(Zou giggling)

(objects clattering)

(Grandpa): Where could it have got to?

Hmm...

- Oh...

- Ah! Here we are. Just what I was looking for!

- You're going to help me see up a tree?

- Well, we need something else as well.

(chirping)

- Hmm... Plastic tubes and two old mirrors?

(chirping)

- ...will help us make a periscope!

Then you'll be able to see high into the tree,

and even around corners if you want to!

- Really?

- Yes!

The mirrors reflect the image, Zou.

(Zou): Oh, I see!

The top mirror will show what Poc's looking at

in the tree!

- Yes, Zou! And you'll see it in the bottom mirror.

Clever, eh?

- Yeah!

(Elzee): Hello! Zou!

- Hi, Elzee!

- Oh, hello, Elzee!

- What are you doing?

- Grandpa's helping me make a periscope

so I can see up into a big tree.

- Really?!

- You can make one too, Elzee.

All you need is two mirrors.

I've got everything else.

- Oh, yes, please!

I'll go and ask Mum for the mirrors.

- Let's finish making your periscope, Zou.

Once we''ve put the pipes together,

we add the two mirrors

so that they''re in line with one another,

so the bottom one reflects what the top one sees.

(chirping)

(Zou): Come on, Poc!

(chuckling)

- Then we stick it all together.

- Wow!

(giggling)

Thanks, Grandpa! It's brilliant!

(giggling) Poc wants to go back to the park.

(chirping)

- Zou!

- Look, Elzee, we''ve made mine!

(Elzee gasping)

- Hello, Elzee!

- It''s great!

- Thank you.

And now to make your periscope.

- Yay!

(Elzee giggling)

(chirping)

- Shh.

(giggling)

(Zou): Hi, Mum!

- Oh!

(Zou): I hope you've got enough pegs for all that washing!

(Zou giggling)

- Bizou? Where are you?

- Here I am!

(giggling)

I was watching you through my new periscope!

(laughing)

- So that's what you two have been up to!

- Yes! And we're going to the park.

Poc found something up a tree

and we''re going to find out what with my periscope!

- How clever!

- Hi!

- Oh! And you''ve got one too, Elzee!

- Mm

-hmm.

- All ready for the park?

- Yeah!

- Ready!

- Have fun!

- Bye!

(chirping)

(bright music)

- Oh no! It's locked!

- Hmm... Dear!

We were having so much fun making the periscopes,

I forgot they lock the gate around now.

(Poc chirping)

- It''s all right for you, Poc. But we can''t fly!

- I think he's gone back to his tree!

- Looks like we''ll have to wait till tomorrow to find out why!

(both): Oh...

- Still, there are other things you can do with periscopes.

- Hmm...

Like submarines!

- Yeah!

They use periscopes to look at stuff

when they''re under water.

- Hey, Grandpa! Let's make a submarine!

When Poc comes back.

Poc!

(chirping)

(bright music)

- Right, then. Each of you pick a cardboard box

to fit on top of your pedal cars.

(Zou giggling)

(giggling)

- That''s a bit too big!

- Hmm...

- Mm, too small.

- And those are just perfect!

(scissors cutting)

(chirping)

- Is that for the periscope?

- That''s right. Well done, Zou!

(scissors cutting)

- And that''s a window?

- Top marks, Elzee!

(chirping)

- Wow!

- Thank you.

And now for the next bit.

(Zou gasping)

- Um...

Huh?

- Oh!

- Wow!

That looks like seaweed.

- So it does, Zou.

We'll tape it to the windows.

(bright music)

And now some air holes to keep you cool

on your underwater adventure.

There you are! All ready for a lick of paint.

(Elzee giggling)

- Yeah!

- Let's paint!

(giggling)

(chirping)

(giggling)

Hmm, nice!

Wow!

- Bravo!

And now off to the ocean depths!

(giggling)

- Hmm... I wish I could see under water.

- Yeah, me too!

(gasping)

- If we put some blue paper on the fence,

then it would look like we're under the sea!

- And we could paint some seaweed

and fishes and stuff on the paper.

(giggling)

- There!

All ready for a deep

-sea expedition.

- Yeah!

- Yay!

- Commander Zou, ready to dive, sir!

- Yes, all ship shape, Commander Zou!

(giggling)

(giggling)

(chirping)

(Elzee giggling)

Bon voyage, Commander Elzee!

- Aye, aye!

(giggling)

(upbeat music)

(chirping)

(Zou): I see beautiful under water creatures!

Do you see them, Elzee?

- Yes! And this is the first time

I've seen an octopus with glasses.

(giggling)

(Zou): Up, periscope!

What pretty flowers!

- Especially the pink ones.

(Zena gasping)

- Elzee? Zou? Is that you?

There you are!

- We're in submarines!

- Under the sea!

- Submarines? How clever!

And with real periscopes too!

I see Grandpa's been creative again.

- Oh, but Zou and Elzee did all the decoration.

- And don''t they look great!

(all laughing)

(gasping, sniffing)

- Mmm! Can I smell cheese pie, Mum?

- I thought you'd be getting hungry.

It''s teatime now!

- Yum! Coming, Mum.

See you tomorrow!

- See you tomorrow, Elzee!

- Teatime for us too, Zou.

We''ll find out what Poc's up to in that tree tomorrow morning.

- Oh yes!

(chirping)

(owl hooting)

(birds chirping)

- Ha! We'll soon find out Poc's secret.

- Yay!

- Yay!

(chuckling)

(Poc chirping)

(Zou): Hmm... I still can't see anything.

Not even with my periscope.

- Tilt it back a little.

Then you'll be able to see a bit higher.

(Zou gasping)

(Zou): It's a baby bird in a nest! Aww!

- Ah.

- Poc has made a new friend.

(Elzee): Aw! Don''t they look happy together!

- Here! You have a look, Grandpa.

- Thank you, Zou.

(Grandpa laughing)

Oh, how sweet.

Maybe its mum''s gone to get it some food.

- Thanks, Grandpa.

(chirping)

(Elzee): Aww, look!

Poc fed the baby bird while it''s waiting

for its mum to come back!

- You make a really good babysitter, Poc!

(chirping)

- So, was it worth the wait to see up in the tree?

- Oh yes, Grandpa! Up, periscope!
