Zigby!

(whimsical music)

(wings flapping)

(Zigby yawning)

Huh? Hmm.

A special star on my calender.

It must be a special day today.

Hmm.

(McMeer and Burtie) Morning, Zigby!

Hi, McMeer. Morning, Bertie.

Do you know what that's for?

Yeah, I think it's for keeping things cold.

Let me check.

(eating loudly)

Yup, mmm, that's cold all right.

(laughing) I didn't mean the fridge.

I meant that star on the calender.

It's to remind me that something special's

happening today, but what?

Hmm? (gasps) I know! It's Celine's birthday!

Yes! That's right!

And we made her a big, yummy

birthday ca-

(McMeer chewing)

What?

I guess we'll have to give Celine something else now.

But what?

Well, let's go and ask her.

(wings fluttering)

(whimsical music)

Happy Birthday, Celine!

What would you like for a present?

(mumbles)

Uh, Celine, are you all right?

She's not supposed to move while I'm painting her picture.

It's my birthday present for her.

Wow! What a great idea.

But, I have to stay still for a very long time.

Don't move, it's nearly done.

There, finished.

Can we have a look?

No, not yet.

It's going to be a surprise.

How can it be a surprise?

We already know what Celine looks like.

I'm planning a special birthday party

for Celine later today.

And I want to show everybody the painting then.

Can't I have just a little peek?

No, that would spoil the surprise.

Nobody gets to see the painting until the party.

(chiming)

Not even me?

Whoops!

(string music)

(laughing)

Can we see?

Be careful, the paint's still wet.

Just a little peek?

We won't hurt it.

Oh dear. How can I get Celine's party

ready if I have to keep the painting safe too?

I know!

We'll keep the painting safe for you!

You will?

We will?

Yes, it'll be our birthday present to Celine.

Well, if you're sure you won't peek at it.

As sure as I'm stripey.

But Zigby, we've never kept a painting safe before.

You could be trotting us into trouble.

(chuckles) With three of us, and only one painting

how could there be any trouble?

(music)

See? Perfectly safe.

(boink)

Uh-Oh! (sigh of relief)

Not a scratch on it.

How do you know?

You haven't seen it.

Yeah, maybe we should check just to be sure.

(gasps)

No! We promised not to peek.

Oh, but it's so tempting.

Maybe if we did something else, it would

take our minds off the painting.

(smacks lips)

Having something to eat was a really good idea, Zigby.

(chuckles) It was your idea McMeer.

(laughs nervously) Yeah, but at least we're

not trying to peek at the painting now.

Not too much pepper McMeer.

You know it makes you sn-

(all sneezing)

(gasping)

(suspenseful music)

Quick! Cover your eyes!

We're peeking at the painting!

What do we do now?

We've already seen the painting, Bertie.

(sighs) Yes, and I guess it was an accident.

Yeah, it's not like we damaged it or anything.

(slurps)

(sneezes)

(gasps)

You've just sneezed smoothie on the painting!

Oh, it's just a drop Bertie.

My little finger will smooth out the smoothie

in no time.

(twinkling music)

(gasps)

I forgot the paint was still wet!

(panicking) You've made a bigger mess!

Quick! We've got to wipe it off.

(gasping)

Crazy coconuts!

Celine's face!

She doesn't have one anymore.

Vickie's going to be so upset!

Don't worry, we'll make it as good as new

before she comes back.

How do we fix the painting?

Cool bananas! That's it Bertie.

How does anyone fix a painting?

(chiming)

With brushes and paint.

(jungle music)

(wings fluttering)

A dab here and a brush stroke there.

Ah, that should do it.

Do you like it?

(xylophone chiming)

Uh, you've completely repainted it.

And it doesn't look like Celine.

Her arms, and legs, and eyes and ears

are in all the wrong places.

Well, it's very hard to paint Celine

when she's not here.

Yeah, at least Vickie had Celine

to copy from.

McMeer, you're brilliant!

What we need is a model.

But we can't use Celine, she'd tell Vickie.

Hm, then we'll use someone dressed as Celine.

Where will we get Celine's clothes from?

(jungle music)

If we ask Celine for her bikini, she might

get suspicious about what we're doing and tell Vickie.

You're right!

Let's just borrow one and put it back when we finish.

She'll never notice.

She might. She's only over there.

It's okay, she's asleep.

You keep watch Bertie and whistle to me

if she wakes up.

(whimsical music)

(grunts)

(chiming)

(wheel turning)

Whoa!

(creaking)

Whoa!

(faint whistle)

Bertie, what are you up to?

Um, up to? My giddy filled dance.

Yeah, I'm up to a one, a two,

and a one, two, three, four!

(laughs nervously)

Giddy filled dance!

(gibbers nervously)

And that's it. Bye!

(whimsical music)

Still no sign of Vickie.

How's the painting going Zigby?

Great! It's a lot easier with a model.

I don't look anything like Celine.

(chuckles) Well I do have to use my imagination a bit.

But at least I'm getting the arms and legs

in the right places.

(brush strokes)

But getting the face right is hard.

(gasps) Here she comes!

(talks frantically)

Vickie!

Bring the painting!

Celine's birthday party is ready!

(laughing breathlessly)

I can't wait to see your painting Celine.

Me too! >> Yeah!

(rattles nervously)

You think Vickie will notice the difference?

I hope not.

I'm so ne-ne-ne-nervous.

(dishes clatter)

(dings)

Jungle friends, welcome to Celine's birthday party.

I know you all wanted to peek at the painting

I did of her, but it's been kept safe

by Zigby, Bertie, and McMeer.

(laughs nervously)

And now for the big surprise.

My fabulous painting of Celine.

(gasping)

(laughter)

I told you faces were hard to do.

That's not my painting.

I can explain.

It was all an accident, you see-

This is my painting.

(oohs and ahhs)

(overlapping compliments)

But Vickie, if this is your painting,

what was on the other side?

That was just my practice painting.

I had trouble getting Celine's face right.

Faces are hard you know.

(sighs in relief)

So we didn't peak at the real painting after all.

And we did keep it safe just like we promised.

(chuckles) I told you I wouldn't trot us into trouble.

Best of all, I now have two paintings.

A lovely one of me, and a (laughs) funny one

of Bertie and me.

(snorts)

This is my best birthday present ever!

Thank you Vickie.

And thank you Zigby.

(laughing and cheering)

(upbeat music)

(Teensy exclaiming)

Come on Teensy Weensy.

You can do it.

This is amazing Zara!

And now, Teensy will show his amazing balancing skills.

(Teensy gasping)

Wow!

How come he doesn't fall off?

Look out!

Pull the string McMeer.

(McMeer gasps)

McMeerOops!

(Teensy screaming)

Are you okay Teensy?

Wow.

That was like flying.

Teensy is so good at tricks.

(playful music)

I've got a great idea.

Let's have a caterpillar circus

so everyone can see Teensy perform.

A caterpillar circus?

(Zara gasps)

That would be wonderful!

It sure would.

Could we work on a real flying act Zara?

Hm, sorry Teensy but caterpillars can't fly.

Not even a clever caterpillar like you.

I feel sure I could fly one day.

(Teensy yawns)

But I'm very sleep now.

ZaraGoodnight Teensy.

You sleep tight.

TeensyGoodnight.

(playful music)

I can't wait to have the caterpillar circus, Zigby.

Oh!

Let's put it on tomorrow night.

Sure, and you can be the ring master Zara.

That means you lead the circus.

Oh!

Ringmaster Zara and the Caterpillar Circus!

(Zara laughs)

I love the sound of that, Zigby.

(playful music)

I don't know McMeer.

I think Zigby's trotting is into trouble again.

No, not this time Bertie.

What trouble could a little caterpillar cause?

Caterpillars are only little

but I know they can be tricky,

I just can't remember why.

(bird trills)

(upbeat music)

Oh!

Zara's holding a circus tonight with

a very clever caterpillar as the star.

Fabulous.

Let's tell the others.

(upbeat music)

We can't wait for the caterpillar circus Zara.

Everyone's talking about it.

Can we meet Teensy Weensy?

Introducing Teensy Weensy.

The most extraordinary circus performer there ever was!

Where is he?

(Zara gasps)

ZaraHe's gone!

Hm?

What's this?

That's it!

I remember now.

That's why caterpillars are tricky.

They spin cocoons.

What's a cocoon?

It's a comfy place like a bed.

Teensy has made a cocoon and he's safe inside.

Inside?

(gentle music)

When will he come out?

Um, uh, I don't know.

Uh, I don't remember what happens next.

Let's ask him.

Hey Teensy, can you come out now?

Pretty please?

Oh, why won't he come out, Zigby?

Hm.

What about the caterpillar circus tonight?

What if he doesn't come out?

What will I do without him?

Well uh...

I know.

There's sure to be other caterpillars on this island.

You could train them.

Oh, I don't know.

Teensy is so clever.

I can't imagine a circus without him.

(Zara sighs)

There's lots of other clever caterpillars too,

and we'll find them for you.

(upbeat music)

Has anyone found any caterpillars?

Nuh uh.

No.

Huh.

There's lots of these cocoons around though.

Yes but no caterpillars.

Oh.

I guess there won't be a caterpillar circus after all.

Oh.

Hello ladybug.

That's it!

If we can't find any caterpillars

for our caterpillar circus then we can

find other bugs for a bug circus.

A bug circus?

I don't know Zigby.

Can other bugs do circus tricks?

Of course we can.

(Zara gasps)

Really?

Well, would you like to be in a bug circus?

I sure would.

We'll find more performers Zara.

This bug circus is going to be spectacular.

(upbeat music)

Hello?

Anybody home?

What are you doing Bertie?

They're not bugs, they're just sticks.

(McMeer laughs)

BugsOh!

Huh?

No McMeer, they're stick bugs.

Would you like to be in a bug circus?

Sounds great.

Yes please.

Wow.

(upbeat music)

Tonight, you'll be high up but we'll start

you off on this line for practice.

All you need to do is walk along it.

Well that's easy.

(upbeat music)

But you have to do it on your

back legs so you can hold this.

(playful music)

That's it.

You're getting the hang of it.

Whoa!

Woo!

Whoop (laughs)!

I'm used to using all six legs.

Oh.

(Zara gasps)

How 'bout you stick bugs?

Whee!

Whee!

(hands claps) (bug laughing)

Wonderful!

Lucky last.

Oh!

Come on, you can do it.

Oh, I can't.

(bug gasping)

Oh, I'm scared!

Look ahead.

Now, ready, steady, jump.

Okay.

Whoa!

Oops!

Oh dear. >> Oh dear me.

Silly, silly, silly.

Are you ready for tonight Zara?

No Zigby, the bugs aren't very good.

What will I do?

Maybe they need lots of practice.

Practice makes perfect,

and no one can train bugs better then you can.

(gentle music)

The Big Bug Circus has arrived!

Step right up, step right up and then,

um, uh, sit right down.

Sit right down!

You've practiced hard and you'll be great.

I'm so proud of you all.

Good luck out there.

Positions please!

(playful music)

Good luck, Zara.

Thanks, Zigby.

(playful music)

I really hope it's going to be a good circus Teensy.

You can have front row seat.

(gentle music)

Jungle friends, welcome to the bug circus spectacular!

Our first act this evening is

the amazing ladybug on a high wire!

(dramatic drumming)

Oo!

Oh!

Oh!

Oh, oh!

Use your poll!

Your balancing poll!

Oh, oui oui!

Oh!

Oh.

Ah!

Voila.

You did it!

(Zara laughs)

Did you see that Teensy?

(all cheering)

And now for the grand finale, the swinging Twiggy brothers!

(all cheering)

Whee!

(twig bugs exclaiming) (all cheering)

Zara!

I'm scared!

Jump!

You know you can do it.

I can't (gasping).

I just can't (gasping).

Crazy coconuts.

He's not gonna jump.

(playful music)

Zigby, look at the cocoon!

(chiming music)

Teensy?

Hello.

That's it.

Now I remember.

Remember what?

What happens after caterpillars make cocoons.

They turn into butterflies.

Butterflies.

Butterflies can fly.

Cool bananas, Bertie!

Come here, Teensy.

(Zigby whispering)

(gentle music)

(bug grunts)

I'm still scared (gasping)!

Jump with me!

Huh?

Whoa!

Whoa!

I did it!

(all cheering)

(all laughing)

Now who said caterpillars can't fly?

Teensy?

(gentle music)

Ah!

It's you.

Mm hm.

(all cheering)
