[ominous music playing]
[Amy] So,
there's been a guy around.
He's definitely a creeper.
It's an unusual amount
of anger that he has.
When I had woken up,
I was being choked.
We have demons in this house.
[Matthew]
Did he just jump you now?
Yeah.
There was bloody handprints
all over.
He can jump into the body
of living people?
-Can I?
-[Steven] Yes, sure.
[Amy] What's the matter?
[Paije speaking]
[Amy] This makes me nervous.
He wants to k*ll them.
He wants the person dead.
My name is Amy Allan.
I see dead people.
I saw a lean creature.
I speak to dead people
and they speak to me.
This person feels
like a monster.
But there's only one way
to know
if my findings were real.
They're sucking the life
out of this people.
I rely on my partner.
I'm Steve DiSchiavi,
I'm a retired New York City
Homicide Detective.
So how many bodies we talking?
And I know every person,
every house has secrets.
It's my job to reveal them.
But Steve and I never speak...
We never communicate
during an investigation.
...until the very end.
Oh,
you're not gonna like this.
When we uncover if it's safe
for you to stay.
I'm sorry.
I need to take a break.
Or time to get out.
It wants inside the house
because it wants to k*ll you.
[gasps]
[ominous music playing]
[Steve]
I'm here in a desert city
of Victorville, California.
It's a couple hours
outside of Los Angeles.
It's hot as hell up here,
but this was a case
I just had to take.
A desperate woman
named Monette called,
says whatever's in her house
k*lled her roommate,
and if we can't help,
it's gonna k*ll again.
My granddaughter
has been recently choked
by a demon in her sleep.
[Steve] Monette sounds
real shook up.
I'm hoping Amy and I can find
a way to help her out.
[crickets chirping]
[Amy] Oh, oh.
The area has an extremely,
heavy, sad, uh, vibe,
like maybe there had been
a great loss at some point.
The problem with that is that
the living, uh, could be,
uh, susceptible to feeling
this sadness,
this depression.
Bad situation...
Bad situation.
[crickets chirping]
[ominous music playing]
[Steven] So Monette,
this is a big beautiful home
you have here,
but when we spoke
on the phone,
you sounded pretty upset.
Why don't you tell me
what's going on?
We have demons in this house
and it's a very
dangerous place.
Demons is pretty specific.
Um, what makes you say
its demons?
From the things I've seen
and the things
that are going
under this house,
I don't think it could be
anything else, but...
Now, you also mentioned
on the phone that, uh,
the paranormal k*lled
your roommate?
Yes.
[Steve] Tell me about that.
His name was Thomas,
and he was my really
good friend,
-and roommate.
-Okay.
And we bought the house
together.
He d*ed of a heart att*ck
last year.
How old was he?
[Monette] He was .
The man is years old.
Dying from a heart att*ck
is not uncommon.
Um, what makes you think
it's paranormal related?
It's upsetting for you
talk about it?
-He was my friend.
-[Steve] Yeah.
And he was very healthy.
It couldn't be anything else.
We loved him very much
and we miss him.
So, Monette,
let's get to some basics.
Who lives in the house?
Okay.
[Monette] That's me,
and then there's
my -year-old granddaughter,
Paije,
and on the other side
is Thomas's son, Steven.
Do me a favor. Give me a list
of what you guys
are experiencing here.
We're seeing shadow figures,
people are being
physically att*cked,
and we are having a lot
of mood swings, and fatigue,
and we're all getting sick.
Uh, what kind of elements
are we talking about?
Steven also had
a heart att*ck.
Okay. How old is he?
He is .
Ooh, okay. What else?
What about you
and your granddaughter?
I have broken bones in my
ankle and foot right now.
I have no idea
how they happened.
Okay. So you didn't have an
accident and all of a sudden
-you got broken bones?
-[Monette] Exactly.
[Steve] And what about
your granddaughter?
Well, Paije right now is, uh,
stable from being a victim
of clival chordoma cancer
in her brain.
She was doing rather well
and very stable...
-Okay.
-...until we moved in here.
And now she has several
medical issues.
What about, uh,
the mood changes,
what do you mean by that?
I get angry right away.
I used to be really
happy-go-lucky.
Steven has periodic tantrums.
He gets flies off the handle
for little things.
Okay.
It is a nice house.
I mean, is it worth
staying here though?
It's all we have
and we can't afford to leave.
Monette, listening to you,
it's breaking my heart
hearing what you guys
are going through
especially
with your granddaughter.
How are you holding up?
I'm very, very tired.
I don't feel like I've slept
for five years.
And you believe
it's the paranormal?
Absolutely.
Something's sucking the life
out of me
and changing the quality
of my existence.
-[crickets chirping]
-[ominous music playing]
[Amy]
So, there's been a guy around.
I think he's like
in his s age-wise.
He likes to just watch people,
watching, watching, watching.
He'll like get up on you.
He really does have
a pretty intense vibe.
Even if you aren't seeing him,
you would feel his presence,
so you feel kind of bothered.
When he's with you,
I think that
that living person
would change dramatically.
He's definitely a creeper,
just unnerving, unsettling.
[ominous music playing]
[Monette] This is the worst
room in the house.
Okay.
So tell me what's going on.
Well, there's like a menacing
stalker in this room.
It feels like somebody's
always behind you
wherever I go in this room.
Is this something
you could see
or is it just a presence?
No, I can't see it.
It's some type of presence,
but it's on you,
ready to jump at you
at any time.
You feel like
you're gonna be att*cked.
What else?
Things go missing around here
all the time.
Okay. Like what?
-I'll set my keys on the bed.
-Okay.
And I'll go wash my hands
or brush my teeth.
I'll come back and my keys
are gone.
Tear my room up.
I come back and they're right
where they were before.
Okay, I mean, I misplace stuff
all the time,
and I think they're there,
but they're not.
But you're saying it kind of
like when you come back,
-it's where it was originally?
-Exactly where it was,
and it's really
pissing me off.
[ominous music playing]
[door squeaking]
[Amy] The creeper.
He was a bad guy
when he was alive.
He likes to steal
and move things.
[Matthew]
Like what sort of things?
Like, oh, look, the remote,
oh, [bleep].
I'll make that disappear
for like a week.
[Steve] All right.
So what else is going on?
I have been choked before.
Tell me about that.
What happened?
My throat was shut,
stuck together inside.
I could not get any air
in or out.
This went on for a minute
and a half.
I really thought
I was gonna die.
You think the angle here
is to k*ll you
or k*ll everybody
in the house?
I do.
I absolutely do.
And I don't wanna be next.
[Amy] Seeing like
a living woman here.
This is, like, crazy at night.
Okay.
So I think this dead guy
is like really angry.
He can jump into adults.
Like, here's the thing.
It's like you can't
like swallow,
very hard to swallow
when he's in, you know,
near or in you.
You feel like
you can't breathe,
get lightheaded, and dizzy,
um, and then compression
on the chest.
And besides being sick,
it's also the rage.
[Matthew]
Do you think that others
might be in danger
because of this?
Yes, I think so.
Bad, bad, bad.
[ominous music playing]
[birds squawking]
I'm more concerned
about you guys
especially after talking
with your grandmother
about what's going on here.
Have you had experiences?
Yes.
One was actually in my
grandmother's room...
-[Steven] Okay.
-...where I felt
like I was being watched.
And in the bathroom there was
a black shadow walking past.
So when you said you had
the feeling of being watched,
did it feel like
it was just curiosity
or did you feel like it was,
you know, creepy?
Creepy.
Any other experiences?
Yes.
One in my bedroom.
I was sleeping.
I was having a nightmare
that I was being chased
by a stranger.
When I had woken up,
I was being choked
by what looked like the devil.
And I couldn't breathe
and I couldn't move
for a whole minute.
You sure it wasn't part
of your dream?
I'm sure. I was up
and I could feel
his weight on me,
and I felt his hands
around me.
And then after
the whole minute,
he disappeared.
I thought I was gonna die.
[woman] I'm seeing
like a little girl.
Something's happening.
I'm just hearing her.
Oh, my God, did you see that?
Oh, my God, did you see that?
Like I'm wondering
if it's that guy,
like the stalkery dude,
because like I'm not seeing
and I'm getting hit
from behind.
It's not good.
[Steve] Anything else?
Yes. Since we have moved
into this house,
my health
has really gone downhill.
Grandma mentioned that to me.
So what are we talking about?
My stomach has made it hard
for me to eat full meals.
It makes it to where
I cannot stand up
for more than five minutes.
Have you gone to a doctor
about what the hell
is going on with you?
Yes, I have.
They can't find anything wrong
with my stomach at all.
Well, grandma thinks
this place is trying
to k*ll you guys,
whatever's here.
Do you feel that way?
-Yes.
-Okay.
[woman] This one dead dude.
He's definitely a jumper.
Oh, my God.
[sighs] He's very irritating
though, this guy.
[Matthew] Why?
Because he, like, sits
in your stomach.
You can feel him
in your stomach.
It's heavy
and like it's sick.
[groaning]
[Matthew] So did he just
jump you now?
[woman] When he jumped
inside me, I got really dizzy,
I couldn't breathe.
[Matthew] So he has been
jumping you this whole time?
Yeah.
Hmm. Hmm.
[Steve] Well, Steven,
first off, I wanna extend
my condolences
on your father's passing.
-[Steven] Yeah.
-What type of guy was he?
He's the type of person
he'd give you his last dollar
or the shirt off his back.
I never see him smoke,
I never seen him...
Hear him cuss.
He never drank.
You must miss him?
Do you think he's here?
Yes. He's watching
over the house.
-I understand,
you're what, ?
-Yeah.
-And you had a heart att*ck?
-[Steven] Yeah.
In my feelings,
you're a young man
to have a heart att*ck.
Yeah, too young.
So that brings me to a point.
Monette was telling me about,
everybody in the house
having some rage issues
-actually, for lack
of a better word.
-Yeah, anger issues.
And particularly you as well.
What's that all about?
What's going on?
It just comes on
but I try to keep to myself.
When you do get angry,
how angry do you get?
I don't punch holes
in the walls anymore.
Anymore?
Yeah. I used to punch holes
in the walls
a long time ago.
The two of them does not know.
Okay.
[creaking]
[woman] Ooh, like a lot
of anger out here.
Lots of anger.
This is coming from a male.
I think he's alive.
He's an extremely tense
and stressed out person.
It's an unusual
amount of anger
that he has about...
his life situation.
He feels like [bleep]
is just out of control
in his life
and like going wrong.
He's very scared
and I see him like punching,
like, punching something.
[Matthew] Do you have
any idea how violent
this guy in the garage
might become
if he was being jumped?
That would not be
a good situation.
Do you think he might capable
of k*lling in that state.
Yes.
[Steve] Anything else?
-I was shoved
in my bedroom once.
-So what happened?
You know, I just fell back
and put a big old hole
from my lower back
in the wall.
So this ain't you
punching holes
-in the wall?
-Oh, no.
And telling everybody else
"You know what?
Something pushed me."
No, no, no.
I mean this is no joke.
And you could've fell
the wrong way
and I've seen
it a million times,
people accidently
break their neck
on a simple little fall.
With all the stuff
that's happening to you here,
why don't you just pack
and get the hell out?
Because I have
nowhere else to go.
[woman] I don't like this,
the creeper.
He is watching.
Watching what?
Whoever is in this room,
I think he doesn't like them
just standing there
and watching,
like...
he's like right here
and he's got his Kn*fe.
This makes me nervous.
He wants to k*ll them.
So that's not good.
[Steve] If you're looking
for lots of heat
and open land,
Victorville is the place
for you.
I was worried I wouldn't
find much history here.
But when I called
a local archivist,
she said the Native American
tribe that lived here
had a miserable time.
But it wasn't the settlers
who drove them out.
It was another tribe.
So Rebecca, I wanna thank you
for meeting me out here.
All right, so who was
the tribe that lived here?
Yeah. So they were called
the Serrano tribe
and they had a village
in this area called Topapaibit
and it extended
into your client's property.
All right. So I got to think
at some point they came
into contact
with settlers, right?
Definitely, the Spanish
started arriving
in the late s.
And since the Serrano
are a peaceful people,
they actually helped them
navigate the harsh
Mojave Desert early on.
So how did the Spanish
treat the tribe?
The Spanish saw the Serrano
as pagan and primitive.
So they started trying to
convert them to Christianity
-as soon as possible.
-Okay.
Some were persuaded
pretty easily
while others had to be forced
into it.
Okay. So when you say
forced into it,
what are we talking about?
They use tactics
like starving them
into submission.
Essentially, they would
destroy their crops
and their way of life.
Now, Rebecca, you mentioned
on the phone to me
that it wasn't the settlers
that drove the Serranos out,
but it was another tribe,
who were they?
So the Mojave tribe
also lived in this area.
They saw the Serrano
as enabling the Spanish.
They were disgusted
that so many of them
had converted to Christianity
and the Spanish way of life.
Okay. So how exactly
did the Mojave
get rid of the Serrano tribe?
November of ,
the Serrano in this area
got wind of a Mojave w*r party
that was coming
through the area.
So they actually abandoned
Topapaibit, their village,
in hopes to avoid v*olence.
But not all of them
escaped alive.
All right, so what happened?
So we know that
at least eight Serrano
didn't make it out
of this area.
So Rebecca when I was
at my client's house,
I noticed there's a lot
of tract housing
in the area.
Do you have any idea if
they've uncovered any bodies
when they did
the construction?
Not when they were putting
your client's house up.
But a rancher in the s
was plowing his land
and actually unearthed
Serrano skeletons
and it was in the news.
It was believed
that this mass burial site
was actually a cemetery
for Topapaibit.
How far is this
from my client's property?
So there's a marker on site
there today.
And it's about a mile
from your client's property.
-[Steve] All right.
So it's close.
-Yeah.
There is a bit of negative
energy here.
The sadness gets heavier.
Sure, sure, Sure.
Loss, loss, sad, sad.
I'm like, is it
[bleep] cursed?
There are a handful
of dead people
that are kind
of wandering around.
I do think something
occurred here.
There's something
with a curse, okay.
And that's why things are bad.
[Steve] So far,
I've got a client
who thinks the paranormal
k*lled her roommate
on property near a
Native American burial site,
but I wanna see
if there's anything else.
[dramatic music playing]
[Steve] Searching through
old records,
I found the su1c1de
that took place
right by Monet's house.
Maybe it's just
a coincidence,
but this guy k*lled himself
at the age of ,
nearly the exact same age
as Monet's roommate
when he d*ed.
In my experience,
it's very rare
for someone that age
to k*ll themselves.
I'm on my way
to meet a historian
to see if there's more
to this story.
So Dylan I wanna thank you
for helping me out
with this case.
So, the guy that k*lled
himself, who was he?
Uh, that'll be Robert Turner.
Here's a photo of him.
He was one of the key figures
in putting Victorville
on the map.
[Steve] I assume
he was married, kids?
Yeah, yeah, six kids,
wife Susan.
You said this guy helped
put the city on the map.
How'd he do that?
He was here at the right time.
He started one of the first
large cattle ranches locally.
And then he diversified
into businesses
like a hotel,
a general store, and mining.
He was the king of
the Victor Valley for a while.
So it sounds like
this guy's making money.
I mean, did he have
any shady deals going on?
There is evidence
of land speculation
and shady deals happening here
because he was the guy
in charge,
he pretty much named his price
when selling lots
and selling ranch land
-to people coming in.
-Okay.
So it was his way
or the highway?
-Yeah.
-All right.
So, Dylan
with the shady dealings
is that part of the reason
he kills himself?
No. He started to experience
personal tragedies.
He lost his youngest son,
who was age four
to undisclosed causes.
And then in ,
he lost another son.
This is Frank and Frank
ran the general store.
[Steve] How old was this guy
when he d*ed?
[Dylan] Frank was .
Do we know what he d*ed from?
We don't know.
That's a local mystery.
The final blow was the loss
of his wife in .
[Steve]
Let's get to the su1c1de.
I mean, what happened?
[Dylan] So in .
He's -years-old.
He's living on
the family cattle ranch.
This is about a mile
from your client's property.
He takes this. caliber
Winchester lever-action
and he positions it
against the floor,
the butt against the floor,
and the muzzle of the g*n
into his chest
and discharges the firearm
into his body.
[Steve] Eighty-two-years-old.
You don't hear
a lot of -year-olds
committing su1c1de.
When you're a man
of this character
and you've done all of this
and you've built a city,
decrepitude and old age,
it may not be
the easiest thing to swallow.
[ominous music playing]
[Amy] The creeper guy
keeps following me.
I'd put him maybe .
I think he was pretty bad,
devious, like, scoundrel.
I feel like he robbed people.
[ominous music playing]
Okay.
So I did just hear a g*nsh*t.
[Matthew] What's going on?
I got a su1c1de.
Pretty sure it was a man.
I just feel
really stressed out.
[ominous music playing]

[ominous music playing]
[Steve] I was driving around
Monet's neighborhood
and drove right by
a huge prison.
Turns out the place
opened in .
And there's already been
a lot of deaths
behind those walls.
I've tracked on
a former inmate
who is gonna talk to me
about his experiences there.
Says it gives him nightmares
to this day.
[ominous music playing]
[Steve] JC, appreciate you
meeting with me.
So I got to ask you
a question,
how did you wind up
in Victorville?
I ended up there
on a violation.
My original case was, uh,
distribution of cocaine.
-Okay.
-Went in,
did my time, got out.
And I was actually
at a pool party.
Everybody was smoking weed.
So I was, like,
decided to take a little
hit off a joint.
-Okay.
-Next day, my PO calls me.
So I went in,
they arrested me right there
and then in the office.
So somebody dropped
a dime on you
without a doubt. [laughs]
I don't wanna think about it.
But, man, I wouldn't put it
past nobody.
So when you got there.
I mean, you have been
in prison before.
So I'm curious.
What was your impression
when you walked in?
I mean, I've been to prison
in Mexico.
And I've seen some
pretty wild stuff.
When I got there, uh,
the energy I felt is bad.
So what kind of things
did you see
when you were there?
I mean, walking in the door.
Somebody had already
got k*lled.
So as soon as we walked
into the kitchen,
they were gonna feed us,
there was blood
all over the wall.
-Okay.
-On the floor, and handprints,
bloody handprints
all over the wall.
And, uh, I was like,
holy [bleep]
like, what am I doing
back again?
So you first day there
and this is what
you're seeing?
Yeah.
I've heard it's been
called victim zone.
-Yeah.
-I mean, I know the deal,
been... I was on the job long
enough to know what goes on.
But how did you survive
as far as tactically inside?
v*olence and knives, man.
Do you know how many homicides
that have been there
since it opened?
-Total of eight.
-Okay.
Any of those eight
stand out to you?
In ,
a guy got stabbed to death
over a couple
bucks of tobacco.
-Okay.
-People might say that
that's like little,
but in there, it's a lot.
Okay.
Anything else that stood out?
In
there was two cellmates
that got k*lled in their cell.
It was never really
pinned on nobody.
They don't know who did it.
I've heard of a lot
of homicides in jail,
but it's the first time,
a double,
-inside the same cell.
-Yeah.
So I know a lot of things
haunt me.
Does that prison
still haunt you?
Sometimes, you know,
I hadn't...
I hadn't slept for years.
And, uh, I just barely
started sleeping
a couple days ago.
I'm glad to hear that.
[ominous music playing]
[Amy]
I saw all of these people.
They'd stood up
from the earth,
and there was probably
about .
They are wanderers.
And they are
looking for help.
And what I was told was that
these were m*rder victims
who knew too much.
But we're spanning like
several decades.
[ominous music playing]
[Amy] I saw a lot of
disturbing things on my walk.
But the creeper
concerns me the most.
He has a hat on
and it's just kind of like
b*at up.
He had tan skin,
dark hair to his neck.
His lips are rounded.
There's no points
or anything very rounded.
Next, I described the creeper
jumping a living man
in the garage.
I wanna show
like the dead guy,
like, going into the stomach
of this living guy.
I want to show
his face enraged.
Because that's what this guy,
like, brings out in him, rage.
Amy, is this what you saw?
Yes, that's what I saw.
[ominous music playing]
[ominous music playing]
[Steve] Now that Amy and I
have completed
our investigations,
we're ready to reveal
our findings to each other
and our clients
for the first time.
Guys, I'd like you
to meet Amy,
she's gonna be doing
the reveal from another room
so she can concentrate
on your case
as well as the dead
without any distractions.
Amy, I want you to meet
the three people
who live in this house.
This is Monette.
She's the one that
called us in.
This is her granddaughter
Paije who's .
And this is Steven,
who is a family friend
and the co-owner of the house.
Monette and Paije
are terrified
and think that whatever's here
is evil and wants to k*ll.
So, unless Amy's got
some questions for you guys,
uh, she'll tell us
about her walk.
When I first got here,
the feelings that I got
were extreme sadness,
and that just kind of
permeates this area,
which indicated to me that
there had been
some type of substantial loss.
The living here may be prone
to having depressive episodes
and feeling lost.
I've never actually been one
to be depressed.
But I have been
since I moved here.
It's probably a sh*t
in the dark,
but there's something
you probably should
know about,
that came up from research.
This land was
originally settled
by the Serrano Indians.
Now their village
actually extended
to your property here.
In s,
the Spanish settlers came,
they saw that tribe
as being primitive
and started converting them
to Christianity.
Anyone who resisted
was tortured.
Oh.
So eventually they got driven
out of this area,
but not by
the Spanish settlers
by the neighboring
Mojave tribe.
Now in , a local farmer
was plowing his land,
about a mile from here.
He stumbled onto
a Serrano burial site,
and there was remains
of people.
Now I got a photo of it.
It's kind of sad to look at.
Now do you think the sadness
might've came from this tribe?
Mmm-hmm. Yeah.
[Steve] So what else?
What I feel is
affecting you the most
and is the biggest
problem here,
there is one very conscious,
pretty dangerous dead guy
who is here.
I called him the creeper
because he likes
to watch people.
He likes to
get right up on you,
like, almost to where
he's at your back
and, like, his face
is right here.
One time when I was
in my grandma's room,
I felt like
I was being watched.
And then out of nowhere,
there was a shadow
in my grandma's room
walking past the doorway.
And there was no way
it was coming
from the outside, correct?
No.
His thing, you know,
he loves to steal things.
Something as stupid
as, like, he would take,
you know, a remote control.
And, like, hide it
for like a week.
And then you would find it
exactly where you put it.
Wow. It's pretty amazing.
Sadly, it's exactly
like she said,
I'll have my keys
sitting on my bed.
And I'll go wash my hands
or brush my teeth,
come back,
the keys are absolutely gone.
I go to look for a spare,
and there they are
sitting in the exact
same spot.
So absolutely irritating
beyond belief.
Any idea who this guy
might have been
when he was alive?
[Amy] He was from way back.
I kept hearing
for some reason,
definitely got the impression
that he wasn't a great guy
when he was alive.
He liked to rob people.
I just got that
he was a scoundrel
and that he was very devious.
So I think he was just
a criminal.
He also loves knives.
He's obsessed with them.
His death was not great.
It was something like choking.
-He couldn't breathe.
-Okay.
I mean, it's... For me,
it's not a lot to go on.
But one of the things
you were saying
especially the plot,
had me thinking
of one of the city's
founding fathers.
His name was Robert Turner.
And he came here
from Pennsylvania
in the s.
Robert built a very successful
cattle ranch
less than a mile
from your house here.
But according to the expert
I spoke to,
he wasn't that good of a guy.
He made some shady deals,
but he also suffered
from some personal tragedies.
He lost his four-year-old son
in
after that happened,
his -year-old son
dropped dead
of unknown causes in .
I got a picture of the son.
Now the biggest blow
to this guy came in
when Turner's wife d*ed
after an illness.
Now this was all too much
for Turner.
In , he took a. r*fle,
put it against his body,
basically in his chest,
blew his chest out.
Now, I've seen
what a. r*fle
could do to somebody
that close,
it must have been a mess.
Now I got a photo of this guy.
Was there any way
that this guy
could be the creeper?
I had a sketch of the person
I encountered.
[tense music playing]
Oh, yeah, this looks
nothing like the two guys
I just showed you.
He's a miserable looking
son of a bitch, isn't he?
[Steven] Wow.
-[Paije] Very scary.
-[Monette] It's creepy.
[Steve] You know,
this was a ranch years ago.
This place is filled
with cowboys and stuff
and this... Could this guy
have been maybe a ranch hand
that was a drifter
that came through?
That could be. Yeah.
Okay, So we don't know
who this creeper guy is,
but you did say
he was dangerous.
So what does he do?
He can jump into
the body of living people.
He did it to me
during the walk.
[ominous music playing]
[Matthew] So did he just
jump you now?
I felt sick, dizzy,
couldn't breathe.
And I felt like
I couldn't swallow.
This is something that
the living here
could experience.
Are you okay, sweetie?
-Can I...
-[Steve] Yeah, sure. Go ahead.
You okay?
-[Monette] Love bug.
-[Paije] Yeah.
-[Monette] Are you okay?
-[Paije] Yeah.
[Monette speaking]
[Paije speaking
[Monette speaking]
[Paije speaking]
-[Monette speaking]
-[Paije speaking]
[Monette speaking]
-You okay?
-Yeah.
-[Steve] You okay, sweetie?
-Mmm-hmm. Yeah.
Paije, when you see that
what's going through
your mind?
One night,
I was having a nightmare.
And it was a stranger
that was choking me.
When I had woken up,
this stranger had turned
into the devil.
And I couldn't breathe
for a good minute.
I felt his weight
on top of my chest.
And he was just
sitting on top of me,
choking me and laughing at me.
And then after one minute,
he disappeared.
Come here. Listen to me.
Listen to me.
It's gonna be okay, all right?
I'm not going anywhere.
Nobody's gonna leave here.
We're gonna find
out what the hell
to do with this guy.
I'm gonna get rid of him,
okay?
-[Paije] Okay.
-[Steve] All right.
Can I get your jacket,
grandma?
So I could get this cold
off of me?
-[Steve] Yeah, sure.
-[Monette] Yeah.
-Is that better? Felt better?
-Yeah. Mmm-hmm.
So talking about being choked.
You had the same...
Something similar
happened to you?
Yes, I woke up and it felt
as though fingers had squeezed
-the inside of my throat shut.
-Mmm-hmm.
I don't know how long it was,
but to me,
it was like an eternity.
Super scary,
and I thought that was it.
It's a possibility
that you were experiencing
what he went through
when he d*ed.
Another thing about this guy,
he can make you very sick.
When he jumped me,
I felt this like weight
in my stomach.
And, like,
it was so uncomfortable.
You should know that
everybody here
has health issues
and they're sick
and they blame it all
on the paranormal.
Start with you, Paije.
You told me all about that.
I get a lot of pain
in my stomach
to where I just lay in bed
all day.
I'm usually cranky
when it happens.
You've had issues before.
She's a brain cancer survivor.
She's still being checked
every so often.
Yes, but they haven't found
anything wrong
with my stomach.
It's been three years
and still nothing on it.
Now, Monette,
you got health issues?
Right now,
I have broken bones in my feet
and my ankles
that I knew nothing about
nor how I got them.
Yeah, I've had a heart att*ck
and didn't know
I had one and...
-You're only .
-Yeah.
Amy, there's something else
you should know.
Steven's dad
d*ed of a heart att*ck
when he lived here.
So I'm gonna tell Amy
why you think
it's the paranormal
that k*lled him.
Because this man never smoked,
or drank,
and he was a Christian man,
very godly man.
[Steve] This is a picture
of him right here.
[Monette] Yes.
[Steve] Steven thinks
he's still here.
What do you think, Amy?
I don't think
he's here anymore,
which is great.
That's awesome.
You feel better that
your dad's moved on?
Yeah.
He had a one way ticket
to heaven.
[ominous music playing]
[Steve]
So, Amy, this dead guy,
does he do anything else?
When he jumps people,
he will heighten
their emotions.
So if you're prone to anger,
or if you're prone to sadness,
or whatever,
he'll make that tenfold.
I saw an incident
in the garage
where this person,
this male, was so angry
and very upset
about his life situation.
And he was thinking that
he was cursed or something
because things were always
going so bad.
And I saw the dead guy
jump into him.
But I did have
a sketch done of this.
[ominous music playing]
[Steven] Oh, jeez.
[Paije] It looks like Steven.
[Monette]
Makes perfect sense to me.
That is amazing.
Do you recall ever
being in the garage
and getting mental like that?
Yeah, that's... Yeah.
My fear is that
if you jumped a living person
who was in a state,
he could make that
person violent.
He might be able to make that
person k*ll someone.
[ominous music playing]
Now that makes me
extremely concerned.
I feel very uncomfortable.
That explains a lot to me.
And that actually
pisses me off.
Very scary.
[ominous music playing]
[ominous music playing]
[Steve] So you guys thought
you had a demon in the house.
Good news is you don't.
Bad news is this creeper guy
might as well
have been a demon.
Now the question
is can you get rid
of this [bleep]
and get back to a normal life?
And if so,
what's that gonna take?
For that answer,
I'm gonna turn it over to Amy.
[ominous music playing]
So there's, like, good news
and then there's bad news.
As far as the dead guy
is concerned,
there is something that
can be done
to get rid of him
by people, a team,
that I would be
putting together
would come here.
They're kind of
a mixed bag of people,
psychics, mediums,
pagans, Satanists,
you know, the whole nine.
The first thing
that they would do is
what's called a cord cutting
between you guys and him.
Then a shaman
will actually be removing him,
the dead guy,
from this situation.
The bad news is that this area
is really, really,
really thick
with this awful
residual energy.
The problem is, is that...
you can't get rid of this.
So in order for you
to stay here,
you would literally have to
do cleansings of your home,
and this would have
to be something you did
pretty much on a daily basis.
It's up to you.
If that's something
you want to take on.
Her bad news was just as good
as her good news for me.
[laughs] Okay. Good.
A billion pounds
lifted off my shoulders
right now.
Oh, good.
Paije, you feel better
about it?
Yes. I do.
We could get all the negative
and depression out.
Great.
-How about you, big guy?
-Oh, yeah, definitely.
Get this, you know,
evil out of here.
I'm feeling really blessed
and ready to
get back to normal.
Yes, I'm looking forward
to you guys
getting back to that.
-I feel lighter.
-[Steve] Good.
I really do.
Monette, Paije, and Steven
have suffered long enough.
I really hope
they follow my advice
and cleanse their house
of negative energy,
as well as work with a shaman
to remove the creeper.
If they do, I'm confident
they can live in
their home peacefully
for many years to come.
