the hoobynuts are the sea, the
hoobaberries are the beach,
and the hoobnips are the trees.

has to be the
hoobygrooviest idea
you have ever had, Tula Hoob.
(both laugh)
- Well, I couldn't have done
it without your help, Groove.
Iver hasn't helped at all.
He's been too busy looking
after the Motorettes.
- Tula! Tula! Tula! An email
has just arrived for you.
- For me?
(Iver laughs)
- [Groove] Who's it from?
- What does it say?
- Read it read it!
- Hurry up, come on.
- Shush, it's from a Tiddlypeep.
Dear Tula, my friends
and I are going on a trip
to the seaside in a coach.
We are going to have a picnic
and have races along the beach.
There are two spare
seats on the coach.
Would you like to come?
And bring a friend!
- [Iver and Groove] Oh!

- How Hoobacious!
- Oh yeah! The picnic bit
sounds especially hoobygroovy.
- And the races. I can't

Well choose then Tula.
Is it gonna be Iver,
or is it gonna be me?

How can you choose which friend
to take with you to the seaside?

Now that is what I call a
very tricky question, Hoobs.

- Well I'll email Roma and
see if she can come up with
a clever ruse as
to how to choose.
But first let me see what

Choosing material for clothes.
But when they choose, you see,
they choose the thing
that they like the best.
So they look at everything
and then they choose.

Isn't that hoobacious? (laughs)
I see. So I have to decide which
one of you I like the best.
Okay. Well Groove, I like
you because you're so funny.
(Groove and Tula laugh)

But then I like Iver
because you're so kind and
hoobaly groobaly.
- Oh (laughs awkwardly) yes.
- Oh, yes. Oh, but I love
Groove's squidgy tummy.

- And then again I
love the way Iver says,

- Oh (laughs)

But I like Groove because he
gives the best hooblediggers.

for a very short time,
then I cover up the tray
and you have to see how many
things you can remember.

- Of course!
- Okay, so you give
me five hoobaboobas
while I look at all
the things, right?
- Right.
One hoobabooba, two
hoobaboobas, three hoobaboobas,
four hoobaboobas,
FIVE hoobaboobas.
(Tula laughs)
That's it.
Now I cover up the tray.
Now you try to remember.

a lolly, a sponge...
- Something you can draw with.
- A crayon! Oh yes,

There was definitely a peg.
Well that's all I can remember.
- Look, you did really well.
You got nearly all of them.
- [Iver] Well done, Tula!
- Yes! Do you know, this has
given me a really good idea.
Iver, Groove.
- [Both] Yes?
- We're going to
play the tray game.
- [Iver] Oh good.
- I must get back to

would get a ride on the tractor.

I've been chosen.

- But now I have to
do some choosing.
I have to choose which
one of these lovely boys
is going to drive the tractor.
Oh dear.
This is going to be
impossible. This is Roma Hoob,
about to take a
ride on a tractor,

with you.

Whichever one of you
has helped me most today
gets to come to the seaside.
- Well that'll be Groove then,

helping you all day
with your food picture.

Motorettes a drink.

- Don't despair, Tula.
I've found a story that
might give you the answer.
Take a look at this.
- [Narrator] Melissa,
the big fat Queen Bee,
sat on her throne
in the beehive.
She never went anywhere.
She just sat getting fat.
And rather bad tempered.
All the drones worked away
night and day for her.
They would drone and moan.
All except for Dicky Drone,
who liked telling stories.
"You should stop being a
busybody bee," said Jimmy Drone.
"Why can't you just drone and
moan like the rest of us,"
Timmy Drone added.
(trumpets blaring)
(Queen Melissa moaning)
Now one day,
Queen Melissa summoned
her drones to her throne.
"I'm going to send one
of you out into the world
to find out all about it.
I'll choose the drone who
will be the best for the job.
You must each put
your case to me."
One-by-one the drones stood up,
and told her why they
should be picked.
Soon, it was Jimmy Drone's turn.
"I think I should
go, Your Majesty,
because I'm the
best at droning."
"Next!"
And Timmy Drone stood up.
"I think I should
go, Your Majesty,
because I'm the
best at moaning."
"Next!"
- [Tula] "Next!"
- [Narrator] So Dicky
Drone stood up and said,
"I think I should
go, Your Majesty,
because I'm the best
at telling stories.
And I'll come back
with all the gossip."
"Perfect!"
So off he went.
And when he returned, he
sat at her fat, hairy knee
for hours on end and
told her stories.
She didn't get any thinner,
but she was much happier.
- Now I know what we'll do.
I'll be like that Queen Bee,
and you both have to tell me
why you think you
should be chosen.
Iver Hoob (spring bouncing)
please give me three reasons
why you should come
with me to the seaside.
- Yes, Your Majesty.
Well, I think I should be chosen
because I'll be able to find
out lots about the seaside.
And I'll be good at
running races on the sand.
And I'll be good at organizing
everything. (laughs)
And I've never been
sick on a coach either.
- Hey, that's four reasons!
- Next! (spring
bouncing) Groove Hoob.
Why should I pick you?
- Well Your Majesty,
I should come
because I'll be best
at eating the picnic.
And I give the Tiddlypeeps
the best hooblediggers.
Yes and I could collect all
sorts of things at the seaside
that will be very
very useful. (laughs)
And I was only sick on the coach
because a Tiddlypeep
made me eat an ice cream.
- [Both] Well?
- I don't know! I
still don't know!
You both deserve to go. (sighs)

of choosing someone.
- Can you show me how it works?

And that means, Iver,
that you would be chosen
because Phoebe got the push.

it's just luck then.

- And I'm Groove.
- And today we've been
asking the question,
- "how do you
choose which friend
to take with you
to the seaside"?
- First, Hubba Hubba
showed us some pictures
of Peeps choosing the
things they liked best.
- But I like Iver and
Groove as much as eachother.
So that didn't work.
- So next Tula went
to see a Tiddlypeep
who showed her how to
play the tray game.
- Iver won our tray game,
but it wasn't a fair
way of choosing,
because Groove would
have won an eating game.
- Roma gave Tula the idea
that she should choose the one
who had helped her the most.
- And that was Groove.
But Iver would have helped me
if he hadn't been looking
after the Motorettes.
So it wasn't fair.
- Hubba Hubba showed us a story,
and that gave Tula the idea
that we should both give
her reasons for choosing us.
- But they both gave
really good reasons.
So I still couldn't choose.
- Then the Tiddlypeeps taught
me eeny meeny macka racka.
It's a fair way of choosing,
because it's all down to luck.
- And Iver was the lucky one.
- So Iver gets to
go to the seaside.
- Well done Groove.
