On a magnificent sailing ship

there was a little blue flag

and the little blue

flag was very sad.

"The captain never chooses me

to hoist up the big tall mast",

he sighed, and it was true.

Everyday the captain

chose a flag for this job

"Hmmm today we will

hoist the stripey flag",

he would say.

"Hoist the stripey flag!",

called the sailors.

And the stripey flag flapped

proudly in the wind at

the top of the mast.

"Flap-ity flap-ity flap!"

The little blue flag

felt very left out.

Then one day the

big ship hit a rock,

and started to sink.

None of the sailors

knew what to do.

Then they saw another ship

sailing in the distance.

The sailors called for help.

"Help!"

But the ship was too far away

and nobody could hear them.

The captain rushed down to where

all the flags were kept.

"Come here little

blue flag!", he cried

"This is a job for you!"

He picked up the

little blue flag

and went up to the deck

he stood at the

end of the ship and

waved the little blue

flag at the other ship.

"Flap-ity, flap-ity,

flap-ity, flap-ity

flap-ity, flap-ity, flap!",

went the little blue

flag, "Wow this is fun!"

the sailors on the other

ship saw the captain

signaling with the

little blue flag and

came to rescue them.

All the sailors cheered

the captain, "Yay!"

Then the captain said,
