He liked it

Now all we

Put back on
his flea collar.

[ Sneezes ]

Hmm, you've been sneezing
an awful lot

Since gilbert got here.

I hope you're not
allergic to him.

What's "allergic"?

When people are
allergic to animals,

They can't be around them,

Because they make them
sneeze too much

And get itchy,
watery eyes.

This worried caillou very much.

He didn't want to be allergic
to gilbert.

Come on, caillou, let's go
see what mommy thinks.

If caillou was allergic
to cats,

Mommy and daddy would have
to take gilbert back

To the animal shelter.

Hmm, no sign

And your eyes
aren't watery.

Do they itch, caillou?

No, mommy.

Here, caillou, try
holding him for a while.

[ Sneezes ]

I don't want gilbert
to leave.

I have an idea.

Let's try it without
the flea collar on.

Caillou was really hoping
he wouldn't sneeze.

He didn't want to be allergic
to his new cat.

Well, that's
a good sign.

Caillou, let mommy
hold gilbert for a second,

And you hold onto this.

[ Sneezes ]

That's it!

Since it was the flea collar

That was making caillou sneeze
and not gilbert,

It meant that little kitten
could stay!

[ Meows ]

Gilbert has grown up
so fast.

[ Meows ]

[ Laughing ]

And that's how gilbert

Became a new member
of the family.

I don't even

I don't know exactly
what papers are,

I'm sorry, honey,
I guess we won't

Be going to the wedding
after all.

Hi, mr. Hinkle!

Caillou liked
mr. Hinkle very much.

And suddenly
it dawned on him

That mr. Hinkle would make

An excellent babysitter.

Do you want
to babysit me, mr. Hinkle?

Me -- babysit you?
Really?

Mommy, daddy, mr. Hinkle's
going to babysit me.

Caillou!

I'm sorry,
mr. Hinkle, I really

Didn't mean
for caillou --

Don't be silly,
I'd love to.

Faster, horsie, faster!

[ Laughing ]

[ Neighing ]

How about
a snack, kids?

Caillou: can you bake a cake,
mr. Hinkle?

The last time caillou went
to visit mr. Hinkle,

He was baking a cake,
and caillou really

Wanted mr. Hinkle
to bake

Another one
of his delicious cakes.

You really liked my cake,
didn't you, caillou?

But since I won't be
cooking in my kitchen,

You're going to have
to help me, okay?

You can wear
mommy's apron

So you won't
get dirty!

Mm, we need
three eggs.

Can you get those
for me, caillou?

Now we need
some butter.

That's great.

Now, do you know
where your mommy

Keeps her pots
and pans?

[ Doorbell rings ]

I'll get it!

Mrs. Martin!

Hi, caillou.

I heard your mom
needed someone

To keep an eye
on you today.

Mr. Hinkle and me
are making a cake.

Mrs. Martin:
hello, mr. Hinkle.

I'd love to help.

What can I do?

Very good, caillou.

Now we have to add
the most important part.

Chocolate!

[ Doorbell rings ]

Hi, caillou, I'm
so sorry I'm late.

Wow, it looks
like you now

Have three
babysitters!

Hi, julie, are you here
to take over?

Well, I guess I'll
get going, too, caillou.

But you can't
leave yet!

You have to stay
and eat the cake!

Caillou was proud

That he had helped
bake the cake.

And he was very happy
that he had

A lot of people
to share it with.

This is delicious,
caillou.

Mr. Hinkle
and mrs. Martin helped me.

But it was my idea.

Mr. Hinkle: I think rosie's
enjoying it, too.

Mother:
hello, we're back.

Oh, hi, everyone.

We came home early
because we thought

Mr. Hinkle
would need some help.

We're having a party!

I can see that.

And you have cake!

Look what we brought you.

Mm!

Thanks, mommy, but ours
is much better.

[ Laughing ]

Oh, here,
this one's perfect.

I can -- oh, wait,
I can't do that, either.

Gee, this is tricky.

But it sure is fun,
right, gilbert?

Gilbert?

Hello?

Hello?

Eh.

Oh, hi.

Both: hi.

I thought you
and teddy were --

Ah-ah-ah-ah...

Uh-oh, dino sneeze,
oh, my!

Choooo!

Uh.

I can't help it.

That's how
dinos sneeze.

Oh, but you're
a daddy right now.

Oh, right.

Ah, ah, ah-choo.

[ Giggling ]
that's better.

We can't think
of anything else

Mommies and daddies do,
can you?

Oh, I don't know.

Teddy: perfect, perfect!

Oh, no, wait a minute --

[ Sighs ]

Why aren't you playing
with teddy, gilbert?

Well, believe it
or not, I am.

But he's taking the game
so seriously,

He's driving me crazy.

We're just pretending,

And he still won't
make his move.

Oh, that
sounds boring.

Our game
was fun,

Except we can't think

Of anything else
mommies and daddies do.

Oh, well,
the only thing else,

Besides the chores
and the work

Is, well,
they like to hug.

They hug caillou,
they hug rosie,

They hug me,
and they hug each other.

Oh, I love to hug!

[ Laughing ]

Oh, my.

But you have
to hug

Gently,
like a daddy.

Oh.
Right.

You're a good mommy,
dear.

And you're
a good daddy.

Little bunny.
