Cassie: Remember, Emmy,

When you're learning to cartwheel,

make sure you have lots of room

and something soft to land on, like grass.

Emmy: Got it.

Cassie: When I do a cartwheel, I put moves together.

First, I'm in ready position.

Raise my hands over my head,

then point my foot in the direction I want to go.

Second, I lean over onto my hands

into a handstand.

And third, I bring my legs over

while standing on my hands.

And I keep going until I'm back standing on my feet.

Ord: Yay!

Cassie: Ready, hand, hand, foot, foot.

Want to give it a try, Emmy?

Emmy: Plenty of room,

soft landing area.

OK, let's see now.

First, legs apart, arms straight.

No, wait. Is this right?

Wheezie: More like this.

Ord: Don't you think we should get going?

Quetzal said Fernando is waiting for the soup.

Cassie: Ord's right.

The longer we wait,

the longer Fernando will be sick.

Max: And the warmer the cold soup will get.

Wheezie: Don't worry, Emmy.

Zakie and I are masters at the starting position.

Zak: We'll help you when we stop again to rest.

Is it just me

or is this soup getting heavier?

Max: I'm beat. Ord: Me, too.

Let's take a break.

[All grunt]

Cassie: Zak, Wheezie, will you show Emmy

how to keep her arms straight up over her head now?

Wheezie: Over here, Emmy.

Emmy: What do I have to do?

Zak: Well, to start,

reach for some berries off those high branches.

Wheezie: There, your elbows are stiff.

Zak: And your arms are straight.

Wheezie: From now on, just think of reaching

for berries way up high,

and you'll keep your arms straight over your hand.

Zak: Then all you do is bring your legs over

while you're doing a handstand.

Ohh!

I'll never be able to cartwheel.

I can't do the handstand part.

Max: Don't be sad, Emmy.

Can anyone help Emmy learn to do a handstand?

Ord: I'm pretty good at handstands,

but I've never really thought about how I do it.

Cassie: Fernando is waiting.

Maybe you can think about the best way

to do one while we're walking.

Ord: Got it! Zak: Ord, what are you doing?

You could have spilled hot soup on me.

Wheezie: Cold soup.

Ord: Sorry.

But I just thought of a way to teach Emmy

how to do a handstand.

Max: Emmy, it's perfect.

Ord: OK, Emmy, now just stay that way

while I crawl.

Emmy: Ugh!

What am I doing wrong?

Nothing.

It's all about balance.

All you have to do is keep practicing.

Ord: The secret to a cartwheel

is when you start your handstand,

keep your legs straight up in the air

and keep them moving.

Zak: So your legs come all the way over.

Wheezie: Ad you'll end up landing on both your feet again.

Hand, hand, foot, foot.

Emmy: Oh!

Hmm.

Oh!

Cassie: You're getting better, Emmy.

But we've got to start walking again

if you want to get to Fernando's in time.

Max: How long until we see the troll booth bridge?

Ord: Oh, that's not till...

Now!

[All groan] Cassie: Max!

Trumpy: Halt! Stop!

You must be Trumpy.

Yep.

Trumpy the Troll Booth Troll.

[Sniffing] Ohh!

I do believe I smell cold soup.

Gazpacho, perhaps?

Emmy: Yes it's Quetzal's cold soup for a cold.

We're taking it to his brother Fernando.

He lives just across the bridge.

Trumpy: Ha ha. I've heard that one before.

Just across the bridge. Tsk tsk tsk.

You'll never get across.

To cross the bridge, you have to do a cartwheel.

Why can't we just-- Trumpy: Rules are rules.

So who wants to try and fail first?

Wheezie: Yoo-hoo! We do!

Trumpy: Go ahead, then.

Beginner's luck.

Who's next?

Cassie: I am.

Ord: Now me.

Max: Do you want to try next?

Emmy: No, you go, Max.

I'm practicing the steps of a cartwheel in my mind.

you may take your soup to Fernando.
