NARRATOR: It was a beautiful morning in Word World.

[alarm ringing]

And a very special day for Duck.

Ah... I'm awake. I'm a... I'm awake!

Quack, quack.

Today's my day to bring something special to school

for Show and Tell.

And I have just the thing for the best show in town ever!

NARRATOR:You do?

Yup. It's my favorite thing in the whole wide Word World,

and I can't wait to show it to everybody.

NARRATOR: What is it, Duck?

What are you going to bring for Show and Tell?

I'm bringing... my nest.

I love my nest.

Quack, quack.

It's the biggest, softest, comfiest...

and, uh, uh, roundest, uh, nestiest nest there is.

NARRATOR: It's a very nice nest, Duck.

You know it.

It's the best nest ever.

I even like the way it sounds.

N... eh... sss... tuh.

Nest.

[sighs]

♪ The "n" sound is the letter N ♪

♪ The "eh" sound is the letter E ♪

♪ The "sss" sound is the letter S ♪

♪ And the "tuh" sound is the letter T ♪

Okay, nest, it's time to go to school for Show and Tell.

[grunting]

This is no time to rest.

[groaning]

[groans]

[gasps] My nest!

Oh, no!

I broke my nest!

What am I gonna do? What am I gonna do?

Quack, quack, quack, quack.[gasps]

What's wrong, Duck? Lose something?

Oh, my gosh! Oh, my gosh! Oh, my gosh!

My nest broke apart into letters, Bug.

Quack, quack.

And now I can't find them.

Oh... W-Well, there's the letter N, Duck.

So it looks like you still got one of the letters, don't you?

Yeah. I still got the letter N.

Quack, quack.

That's the first letter in my nest.

Great! Now all you got to do is find the rest of the letters.

And then you can put your nest back together again.

So, what letters come next?

Hey, maybe I can help you find them.

Yeah, uh, huh...

Let's see. Uh... nest.

I just got to sound out the word to remember all the letters.

N... eh... sss... tuh.

[mumbling]

[gasps]

[laughs]

[panting and gasping]

Well, I'll be.

Turtle's a super-fast swimmer.

Who knew?

[humming]

[panting]

...slow down?!

Quack, quack, quack.

Huh? Oh, sure thing, Duck.

I was just on my way to school for Show and Tell.

You need something?

Yeah. My missing letter E.

Your missing letter E?

[gasps]

Where?

Uh, there.

Where?

There!

Where?

Turtle, it's on your shell.

Quack, quack.

Oh.

The letter E.

Who knew?

It's okay, Turtle.

I got it back.

Now, I just need to find

the rest of the letters in my nest.

NARRATOR: So Duck had found the letter E,

but he still needed to figure out

which letter came next in "nest."

All right, let's see here.

Uh, nest.

N... eh... sss... tuh.

I've got the letter N for the "n" sound.

And the letter E for the "eh" sound.

Uh... what's next?

I need the "sss" sound.

That's the letter S.

S! Oh, letter S, come out!

Come out wherever you are!

Sss. Sss.

Oh, hello, Spider.

Hello, Duck.

Did I just hear you say you need the letter S?

Yes. Quack, quack.

Have you seen it?

Just like the first letter of my name.

[gasps]

[panting]

Well, Duck, do you have all the letters for your nest now?

Let's see.

So, I'm still missing the "tuh" sound.

And the letter T makes the "tuh" sound.

[school bell ringing]

Oh, no!

That bell means it's almost time for school to start,

and I don't have all the letters for my nest!

Oh, I got to hurry.

Thanks, Spider. Oh!

Good luck, Duck.

NARRATOR: Duck went in search of the letter T,

the last letter in his nest.

Tuh, tuh, T!

Letter T, where are you?!

[gasps]

Hey, what's that?

My letter T!

[giggles]

Incoming!

Al... most... there.

[gasps]

Quack, quack. Quack!

[whimpering]

Whoa!

My letter T!

[gulps] Quack.

Quack! Quack!

Hold on, T!

I'm coming!

[grunts]

[train whistle blows]My T!

[train whistle blowing]

[brakes squeaking]

[grunts]

[bell ringing]

Hurry. Now it's Show and Tell.

It's time for Show and Tell.

[chatter and laughter]

Ooh, I can't wait to see what my WordFriends brought today.

CAT: Has anyone seen Duck?

Out here! Quack, quack, quack.

Today is Duck's turn for Show and Tell.

Here I am!

Hello, Duck.

Are you ready for Show and Tell?

I sure am,

and I brought my most favorite thing

in the whole wide Word World.

[grunts]

Um, Duck,

those are just letters.

Not just letters.

Each letter has a sound.

And when you put all these sounds together, they

build a word.

KIDS: Nest!

I can't get up onto the stage.

[grunting]

If we can't get up on the stage,

we'll never be able to finish our "S" and "T" song.

There has to be a way.

We need something to help us get onto the stage,

so we don't have to take such a big step.

Hmm...

[quacking]Step... stage...

All we have to do is...

KIDS: Stairs!

Well, now that we have these stairs,

it will be easy to get up onto the stage.

[barking and panting]

You, uh, want to go, uh, for a ride?

Well, oh, we can't drive a truck without...

...Truck Driver Sheep.

Ready to hit the road there, good buddy?

[barking]

Come on, Dog.

Let's go down to the pond

and show Frog the new truck.

[barks]

[panting]

Breaker, Breaker, Good Buddy.

This is Sheep and Dog headed down to the pond

to see our little green friend. Over.

[mumbles]

[trunk horn honking]

[engine revving]

[cow lowing]

NARRATOR: Meanwhile,

Frog was putting the finishing touches

on his prize-winning hedge.

Mm-hmm, mm-hmm, hmm.

Ah, there!

Now,that'sa hedge!

NARRATOR: He had his heart set on a quiet morning of gardening.

Gardening is so nice.

So peaceful, so quiet.

Quack!

Hmm? Hmm? Duck!

Morning, Frog!

Um, I just wanted to see if, uh, I could take my bath here?

Fine, Duck, but please keep it down.

I'm trying to do some serious gardening here.

Oh, sure. Quiet.

[loudly]: ♪ I'm not a rubber ducky ♪

♪ To use inside the bath... ♪

Shh!

Oh. [clears throat]

[quietly]: ♪ I'm not a rubber ducky

[truck horn blowing]

[gasps and whimpers]

NARRATOR: Duck had never seen a big truck before,

so he was a bit... nervous.

Sheep, look out!

Oof!

There's an awful, terrible, loud,

honking yellow monster behind you.

Well, uh, huh?

Oh!

It's hideous.

Just look at it.

All yellow...

[honking]

h*nky goo.

[laughing]: Oh...

well, oh, that's no monster.

That's a truck, Duck.

Hey...

isn't that funny?

Your names-- well, they sound the same.

They rhyme.

How do you do, Mr. Truck?

[honking]

I'm trying to do some serious gardening over here.

That's a truck.

NARRATOR: Everyone had a grand time,

except for Frog, that is,

who felt that he had much more serious business to attend to.

[grunting]

[screaming]

Oh, I'm so happy I found you, Cousin Truck.

Huh?

Oh.

Oh, no! Truck, wait!

Quack, quack.

Oh.

Flap your wings, Truck.

Kick your legs. Swim.

Swim!

Um, well, Duck,

you and Truck may be part

of the same, uh, word family,

but actually, don't forget,

a duck is stilla duck,

and a truck is still a truck.

You mean he can't swim?

[sobbing]

This is terrible.

Oh, my poor cousin.

We've got to do something.

Uh, we'll get him out of there.

We just need something we can attach to Truck

to pull him out.

[both gasp]

DUCK & SHEEP: Frog's tongue!

NARRATOR: So, Sheep, Dog and Duck went to ask Frog for some help.
