♪ Building words before our eyes ♪

♪ Nothing's better than a letter ♪

♪ With Dog ♪ And Sheep ♪ And Duck ♪ And Pig

♪ There's always a surprise! ♪

[barks]

KIDS: Word World!

[croaks]

[whimpers]

[giggles]

♪ Welcome to our world

KIDS: Word World!

♪ It's a beautiful world

KIDS: Yay!

NARRATOR: It was a b-eautiful day in Word World.

And... what's going on, Dog?

[barks, pants]

That's right.

Dog and I are building a hot air b-b-ballon.

And then, we are going to take it for a ride.

Hi, Ant.

Hi, Dog.

What you doing?

We're building a hot air balloon.

[laughs] Awesome!

That's totally cool.

I love hot air balloons.

Wow! Hey, hey, can we go for a ride

in your hot air balloon?

Sure, we're almost finished building the balloon.

All I need is this letter, "B," from my basket of "B"s.

The letter, "B," makes the "buh" sound.

B-b...

B-A-L-L-O-O-N.

KIDS: Balloon!

[laughs] Oh, yeah! Wow.

[barks]

Wow!

What a beautiful balloon.

And best of all, it starts with the letter, "B."

[chuckles] My favorite letter!

Like in b-b-bee.

Yeah, mine, too.

B-B-Bug.

Well, hop aboard,

and I'll give you a ride in my hot air balloon.

[barking]

Um, Ant, the balloon's flying away.

Yikes!

[howling]

[gasps]Oh, no!

Dog's floating away in the balloon!

[gasps] And he doesn't know how to fly it.

I'm the only one who knows how to control the balloon.

Quick, bugs, fly up, grab the rope

and pull the balloon back down.

Not good. Oh, no!

This is definitely not good!Oh, no.

[frantic murmuring]

Oh, my goodness!

[Dog howling]

BUG: Grab the rope-- I got it.

Grabbing the rope.

Grab the rope, grab the rope!

Oh, gosh. Oh, no!

[screaming]

Whoa! Just hold on!

[screaming]

Oh, no, Dog's flying off.

What do we do?

[buzzes] What do we do?

[howling]

Everybody, panic!

[screaming, frantic mumbling]

No, no, no, no.

No need to panic.

We can rescue Dog.

We just need to stay calm

and think things through.

Oh, okay, I got it.

ALL: Think things through.

We need something fast

to catch up with Dog.

[sighs, gasps]

Hey, we've got my basket of letter, "B"s.

Okay, what can we build with the letter, "B,"

that will help us catch Dog?

The letter, "B," makes the "buh" sound.

Uh... [sighs]

[chatters "I don't know"]

[gasps]

Uh, I got nothing.

B-b-b... "B."

Buzz... b... [gasps]

Bus... bus!

That's it!

A bus drives really fast.

We'll build a bus to help us rescue Dog.

[frantic mumbling]

[horn honking]

KIDS: Bus!

Yeah!

This bus will help us catch up with Dog.

Climb aboard.

And, uh, don't forget the basket of "B"s.

[grunting]

Okay.

Seatbelts, everyone.

[engine starting]

Bugs to the rescue!

Bugs to the rescue!

BUGS: ♪ Stay calm and think things through ♪

♪ That is what we have to do.

NARRATOR: The bugs chased after Dog in their great big bus,

and they almost caught up to him when...

[gasping]

Stop, stop, stop!

[tires screeching, horn honking]

What is it?

It's a river.

[Dog howling]

Hang on, Dog!

We're coming!

But a bus can't go down the river.

What are we going to do now?

Everybody, panic!

[screaming, frantic mumbling]

No, no, no!

No need to panic.

Let's just stay calm and think things through.

[sighs]

ALL: Think things through.

Think things through.

We'll just use a letter, "B,"

from our basket of "B"s and build something

that will take us down the river to save Dog.

What starts with the letter, b-b... "B,"

and can carry us down the river?

Huh.

[indistinct whispering]

A banana!

Well, Bug, banana does start with the letter, "B,"

and I know you love bananas,

but a banana won't carry us down the river.

Good try, though.

Let's think.

B-b-b... [gasps]

Boat!

A boat can carry us down the river to save Dog.

Yes! Oh![buzzes]

Now you're talking.

ALL: B-O-A-T.

KIDS: Boat!

[sighs] Yep.

This boat will help us catch Dog.

[Dog howling]

BUGS: Bugs to the rescue!

♪ Stay calm and think things through ♪

♪ That is what we have to do!

[grunting]

NARRATOR: The bugs chased after Dog in their great big boat.

[howling]

NARRATOR: And they almost caught up to Dog when...

[Dog howling]

BEE: Dog's floating up the mountain!

How will we ever get him now?

Everybody, panic!

No, no.

Nobody panic.

No problem is too big to solve

when we stay calm and think things through.

We just have to build something

to help us get up the mountain fast.

ALL: Oh, yeah, right.

We have to think things through.

Okay.

There's a path we can ride up,

but it's really narrow.

The bus is too big to fit on this path.

The letter, "B," makes the "buh" sound.

Uh, what starts with the letter, "B,"

that is small enough to ride up a narrow path?

B-b-b-b...

Uh...

bike?

Bike... bike... bike!

That's it!

Yes, a bike can fit on that path.

B-B...

ALL: B-I-K-E.

[bicycle bell rings]

KIDS: Bike!

That's right.

This bike will help us catch Dog.

[grunting]

Put your helmets on.

♪ Stay calm and think things through ♪

♪ That is what we have to do.

[bicycle bell rings]

NARRATOR: The bugs chased after Dog on there itty-bitty bike.

[howling]

Until they finally made it to the top of the mountain

and caught up to Dog.

There. Hang on tight, Dog.

We'll have you out of that balloon in no time.

[howls and barks]

[grunting]

Almost.

[grunting]

[Dog barks, Bugs mumble]

[sighs]

Everybody okay?

BUGS: We're okay.

[howls]

[sputters]

[gasps]

Hey, we rescued Dog.

[barking]

[all cheering]

Now I can't fly my balloon!

It's ruined.

What are we gonna do?

We're stuck at the top of the mountain!

Oh!Oh, no!

Oh!

Now, everybody, panic?

Hmm. No, Ant.

We're not going to panic.

We're going to stay calm and think things through,

just like you taught us.

You are?

Yup, just like you said.

No problem is too big to solve

if we stay calm....

ALL: And think things through.

Hmm. Ah, eh, uh...

Oh, hey.

We still have all of the letters.

How about a... b-b-balloon?!

[gasps]

Yes! Great idea, Bug.

So, all we have to do is...

ALL: Build a word.

Yes. That's it.

Good thinking.

ALL: It's time to build a word.

Let's build it.

Let's build it now.

B-A-L-L-O-O-N!

KIDS: Balloon!

♪ Yeah, we just built a word

♪ We built it

♪ We build it!

Yeah!

My hot air balloon.

Oh, it's as good as new.

Climb aboard, everyone.

Don't forget the basket of bees.

[all talking over each other ]

Great!

[barking]

[panting]

Everybody ready?

Yup, we're ready.

We're ready.

Here we go!

Oh!

Wow!

NARRATOR: As they sailed away in Ant's hot air balloon,

the bugs knew they had rescued Dog

and saved the day

because they learned to...

BUGS: Stay calm and think things through.

That is what we have to do.

NARRATOR: The end.

KIDS: Duck!

That's me! Guess what time it is.

It's snack time!

♪ I got bananas, a tasty treat ♪

♪ And I've got apples juicy and sweet ♪

♪ I've got candy, cake and more ♪

♪ Sodas, cookies, sweets galore ♪

Sweets galore, indeed!

You've got a sweet tooth, my friend.

Which one's his sweet tooth, Crab?

He's got lots of teeth, you know.

Get your head out of there.

A sweet tooth means that you like to eat foods

that have a lot of sugar.

But too much sugar isn't good for you.

You might lose a tooth.

But I love my teeth!

Then have a listen to what this crab has to say.

♪ When you want a snack to eat

♪ It's smart to choose a healthy treat ♪

♪ What you eat can make you stronger ♪

♪ You can play a whole lot longer ♪

♪ Don't eat cake, it's much too sweet ♪

♪ Have a pear, a tasty treat

♪ If you're thirsty, no, no soda ♪

♪ Drink some milk, it's better for ya ♪

♪ Carrots, corn, nuts and berries ♪

♪ Eating these will make you stronger ♪

♪ A juicy apple, bananas and cherries... ♪

Juicy apple!

Oy!

Oh, I really wanted to eat that apple.

Don't you worry, my toothy friend.

All the letters are right here.

We can still have snack time.

All we have to do is build a word!

It's time to build a word.

KIDS: Apple!

Yeah, we just built a word.

NARRATOR: What are you up to today?

Who? Me?

Well, I'm going to play with my good WordFriend, Bear.

Hi, Bear.

What are you doing?

Oh, Sheep, I'm trying to build a bike.

Oh, a bike!

But I can't get the letters

in the right order.

Do they go like this?

No. How about there?

[sighs] No, that's not right.

How about there?

Oh, it's not working.

I give up.

Well, don't give up, Bear.

Keep trying.

♪ Don't give up

♪ The more you try, the better you'll get ♪

♪ The better you'll get ♪

♪ The closer you'll be ♪

[bicycle bell rings]

KIDS: Bike!

Oh, great, it worked!

You're right, Sheep.

I kept trying, and I built a bike.

Whoa! Oh!

[laughing]

Yeah!

Whoa! Wow!

You're a really good bike rider, Bear.

Hey, Sheep,

do you want to ride bikes with me?

Oh, Bear, I would love to ride bikes with you!

But I can't.

Why not?

I don't know how to ride a bike.

You don't?

[sighing]: No.

Well, we're going to change that.

I can teach you how to ride a bike.

You can?

Yep.

Today you become Bike Rider Sheep.

Oh, Bear!

Bike Rider Sheep!

I like the sound of that.

Here, you can practice on my bike.

Oh!

Oh, boy!

Oh, thank you, Bear!

Come on, Bike.

It's up to you and me.

So, what do I do, Bear?

Well, if you want to learn to ride a bike,

there are a couple of things you have to remember

First, always keep your hands on the handlebars.

Hands on handlebars. Check.

Then you have to always remember to look straight ahead.

Look straight ahead. Check.

And last, you have to get those feet on the pedals...

Feet on pedals.

Whoa!

Oops.

I'm sorry, Sheep.

You have to pedal to keep the bike up.

Here, I'll hold on to you

until you have your balance.

Got it, Bear!

Okay, handlebars,

look ahead, and keep pedaling.

Here we go, Bike!

♪ Hands on handlebars

♪ Like Bear said

♪ Pedal, pedal

♪ Look ahead

Steady. Steady.

♪ Hands on handlebars

♪ Like Bear said

♪ Pedal, pedal

♪ Look ahead...

You're doing great, Sheep!

Uh-huh.

Uh-huh.

Okay, I'm going to let go of the bike now.

Huh? What do you mean let go?

Sheep, look ahead!

[screaming]

D'oh! Ooh!

[groaning]

Sheep, are you okay?

Oh... I'm okay.

I forgot to look straight ahead.

Oh, don't worry, Sheep.

It's not easy to ride a bike for the first time.

You just have to keep trying.

Yes, I suppose you're right.

Oh, no!

Your bike broke up into letters, Bear.

Oh, well, that's okay.

All the letters are still here.

There's the letter B.

And there's the letter I.

And the letter K.

And, look, there's the letter E.

So, does the letter B go here...

or there?

Oh, I don't remember.

[grunts]

I give up!

Try again.

Now it's time for you to try again, Sheep.

Ready to try again?

[bicycle bell rings]

Oh! [giggling]

That was me.

Ready?

Ready!

Here I go again.

NARRATOR: So Sheep tried to ride the bike again.

♪ Hands on handlebars

♪ Like Bear said

♪ Pedal, pedal

♪ Look ahead.

Don't stop pedaling, Sheep.

[Frog humming]

[Sheep grunting]Huh?

Whoa! Whoa!

Whoa!

[Frog groans]

[croaks]

I'm okay.

And I'm still pedaling.

NARRATOR: And Sheep tried to ride the bike again.

[grunts and giggles]

Whoa!

[bicycle bell rings]Huh?

[screams]

[grunting]

Hey!

Sorry, Pig.

NARRATOR: And Sheep tried to ride the bike again.

[Dog barking and panting]

Wow.

I think I'm getting it.

I got it!

I'm a Bike Rider Sheep!

Sheep, don't let go of the handlebars.

[Sheep screams]

[groans]

[spitting]

[sighing]

Sheep, are you okay?

No.

I'm not okay.

I'm never going to learn how to ride a bike.

Oh, don't say that.

You've done a great job so far, Sheep.

I have?

Sure.

You get better each time you try.

I don't know, Bear.

It's hard.

Come on, Sheep.

Remember what you told me.

Don't give up, keep trying.

[barking]

Uh-huh. Uh-huh.

Yeah, Dog thinks you should keep trying, too.

BEAR & SHEEP: Yeah! Let's ride!

[both laughing]
