(barks)

(croaks)

(whimpers)

NARRATOR: It was the night before Halloween,

and everyone in Word World was getting in a kooky spooky mood.

And every year on Halloween night,

ghosts knock on all the WordFriends' doors

so they can...

spook them!

(gasping)

(croaks, laughs)

I'm all only kidding.

It's just

a story.

My goodness! Oh, boy, you had me going there, Frog.

What happens next, Frog?

You know, it's getting late.

Let's finish the story tomorrow when it's

Halloween!

Oh, I can't wait to see what Pig's giving out

in his bags of treats.

(barks, slurps)

Yeah, those are my favorite, too, Dog.

Well, uh, g-good night, Frog.

Good night, Frog.

Good night. (croaks)

Oh, boy, those guys sure do spook easily, but not me.

No, sir.

It takes a lot to spook me.

(knocking)

(gasping)

The ghost!

BUG: Huh? Frog, it's us!

Whew! It's just my friends.

We're afraid to go home.

(grunting) Yeah, the ghosts might get us!

Uh-huh.

Oh, that's just kooky.

There's no such thing as ghosts.

No? Are you sure?

Yes, I'm sure there's no such thing as as a ghost.

Now go on home and get some sleep.

SHEEP: Good night, Frog.

NARRATOR: So everyone went to bed.

But there were still a few WordFriends awake,

busy getting ready for Halloween.

Must finish the treats.

Oh, I'm so tired.

All right, that was the last stick for the apples.

The treats are done. Hey!

Finish the treats. Finish the treats.

Pig! Pig!

Pig, that's me! That's me!

Huh? Oh! Oh, sorry, Ant.

(yawns)

We've sure been working hard today, huh?

Yeah, especially you, Pig.

I think it's time you went to bed.

Yeah...

but... whoa!

I haven't made the bags of treats yet!

Oh, we need bags to put the treats in.

We can make the bags of treats tomorrow morning, Pig.

Oh, no! I'll never be able to sleep

if I don't make the bags of treats.

Look, Ant, I'm almost done with them.

I have the A, G-- AG part of the word already.

I just need the "buh" to make them "bags."

You know, buh... ag-- bag.

Pig, the buh sound is made by the letter B,

and we don't have any letter Bs here.

(gasps) No letter Bs?!

Then we have to go find some.

(sighs)

Come on, Ant, we've got to go find some Bs!

Oh, where are those Bs! We've got to find some...

It's too late to be out looking for letter Bs.

We'll just get them tomorrow.

Yeah, but-but the bags!

(yawns)

Good night, Pig.

Oh, buh, buh...

Gotta need those Bs, lots of Bs. Oh!

NARRATOR: So Pig went to bed, but he didn't sleep well.

He was still thinking about all the bags of treats

he had to make.

(muttering, snoring)

Need the Bs! (snores)

Buh, buh, Bs!

Must make bags of treats. (snores)

NARRATOR: And when Pig doesn't sleep well, he tends to...

sleepwalk.

Need the Bs. (snores)

Buh, buh, Bs. (snores) Buh, buh, Bs!

(snores) Must make bags of treats.

NARRATOR: Even when he was asleep, Pig couldn't stop thinking

about the Bs he needed to finish the goody bags,

so he grabbed every letter B he could find.

Buh, buh, B. (snores)

Buh, buh, B. (snores)

Must make

buh-buh-bags.

Buh, buh, B.

(gasps) Must make me the letter B.

(whimpers) Buh, buh, B.

(whimpering)

NARRATOR: Dog was afraid at first. He thought he saw a ghost.

Then he remembered what Frog had said.

Oh!

NARRATOR: "There is no such thing as a ghost."

So Dog decided to follow this thing

that sure looked like a ghost.

(sniffing)

PIG: Need the letter B. (snores) Buh, buh, B.

NARRATOR: Pig continued to sleepwalk right into Frog's log.

(snoring, croaks)

PIG: Need the letter B.

What the...? (gasps)

Need the letter B.

Buh, buh, B!

Must make buh-buh-bags.

(screaming)

Wha-wha-what's the matter, Frog?

Why did you yell?

I saw a g-g-g-ghost!

A ghost?

(barking)

(mimics ghost wailing)

You saw a ghost, too?

(laughs)

Oh, that's a good one, guys.

You know there's no such thing as a ghost.

(Pig snoring)

Buh, buh, B.

A guh... a guh... a ghost!

(barking)

BOTH: You want to follow it?

Uh-huh, uh-huh.

I'm not gonna follow it. You follow it.

I'm not gonna follow it.

(Sheep screams)

Oh, that sounded like Sheep. Let's go!

But I...

Mommy!

(whimpering)

Sheep, what happened?

I saw a guh, guh, ghost!

(croaks)

And the ghost took the B from by buh-buh-bike!

It did?

It took the B from my buh-buh-bed.

And now it's headed for Pig's barn.

(all gasp)

BUG: We have to save Pig from that ghost. Hurry!

Mommy!

(snores): Need the letter "B."

(snores)

Must make buh-buh-bags.

(snores): Buh-buh-"B."

(Pig snoring)

(squeaky gasp)

(trembling): There's the ghost.

Go ahead, Frog, get it.

I-I'm not gonna get it.

You get it!

I-I'm not gonna get it!

Uh, I don't mean to interrupt,

but what exactly is the ghost doing?

(groaning, mumbling)

The ghost put on Pig's chef's hat!

The ghost is pretending to be Pig?

And it looks just like him with that hat on!

(curious growl)

(barks, growls)

Be careful, Dog.

Need the letter "B."

(snoring)

(friendly growl)

(curious growl)

Buh-buh-"B."

Pig?! Pig?! Pig?!

(gasps)

(babbles)

Huh? Hey!

Well, wh-what's going on?

(yawns): Yeah. What is all that noise?

Pig was sleepwalking.

And, uh, taking everyone's letter B's,

I might add.

I was?

(gasps)

I was!

Oh, oh, I'm sorry, everyone.

Oh, that's okay, Pig.

I guess I was worried

about all the bags of treats for Halloween tomorrow.

Bags of treats?

Ha! I love bags of treats!

Hey, we can help you make those!

You can?

Yeah! Yeah! Yeah! Yeah!

Soo-weet!

(laughs): Okay, everyone,

grab a buh-buh-"B"

and an "ag," and let's...

NARRATOR: Halloween began early in Word World.

The WordFriends learned that sometimes

things thatseem spooky are really just... kooky.

And I didn't even get to make my monster yet!

(croaks)

NARRATOR: Well, the party's going to start soon.

(sounding out letters)

(sighs)

(chimes)
