Hi. We'’re listening to my dad'’s favorite rock and roll band,

The Rockin'’ Trolls!

Rock and roll!

The Rockin'’ Trolls are coming to our town today

to play a concert.

My dad'’s really excited.

- Ooh, turn it up! [volume increases]

♪ Doesn'’t have to be the winter ♪

My dad really likes the drums.

- [giggles] - Whoo-hoo!

[upbeat music]

[radio announcer] We interrupt this song with some important news.

[all] Wha?

[announcer] Today'’s Rockin'’ Trolls concert has been cancelled.

[all gasp]

Cancelled?

[announcer] I repeat: cancelled.

Someone in the band is in bed with the sniffles.

I repeat: the sniffles.

So there will be no concert today.

Oh, no!

[announcer] I know, it'’s quite disappointing.

And now, here'’s some very sad music,

because we are all very sad.

[sad classical music]



Well, I think I speak for the whole family when I say

this stinks.

But why did they have to cancel the concert?

Only one person in the band is sick.

Well, they'’re a band, Wally. They play together.

Yeah. As I always say, you need the whole band to play the song.

Yeah, my dad does always say that.

Uh-huh.

Well, I guess I'’ll go, uh, make some hot chocolate.

- Linda? - I'’d love a mug.

Come on, buddy. Let'’s go outside and play.

Yeah, all right.

I can'’t believe this.

My dad really wanted to go to that concert.

Me too.

Look, we even made our own Rockin'’ Trolls tour bus.

[ding]

- [sighs] - [groans]

We were all so excited for some rock and roll.

- [groans] - [gasps] Wait a second.

just like The Rockin'’ Trolls.

Then we can put on a concert for our dad.

See? We'’ll play the guitars, just like these two guys.

We just need a flute player and a drummer.

Hey, fellas. What you up to?

We'’re putting on a concert for my dad today.

So we'’re starting a band just like The Rockin'’ Trolls.

I love The Rockin'’ Trolls! Wait, guys.

[imitates guitar] Who am I?

Um, The Rockin'’ Trolls?

Well, since you love rock and roll too, wanna be in our band?

You want me to be in your band?

Great. Norville and I are playing the guitars.

But we need a flute player.

No, but I play the recorder at school.

And a recorder is kind of like a flute.

All right, Betty. Here'’s a...recorder!

Looks like we have the third member of our band.

Uh-oh.

[drumroll]

Bobgoblin, you'’re not the star. There is no star.

We'’re just putting on a show for my dad.

No star? How strange.

Well, I'’m still wearing these. Bobgoblin.

Guys, we have the whole band!

[all cheering]

Now we just need to make up a song,

and we'’ll be ready for the concert!

The song should be about something my dad loves,

like...the drums!

Wait. What did you say?

My dad loves the drums. They'’re his favorite instrument.

[gasps] Wally Trollman!

If your dad loves the drums the most

and Bobgoblin is the drummer,

that means Bobgoblin is the star of the band!

Hooray!

[drum solo]

Oh, no.

Oh, yes, and the star of the band gets to tell

everyone else what to do!

[grunts]

Okay, the drums will go in front.

Bobgoblin, there is no star of the band.

Yes, there is--me!

You will all be my backup dancers.

And wear these.

[Wally, Betty, and Norville] Goblin ears?

Our band is now called Goblins Forever!

Now you stand back there and do this:

Bobgoblin, you can'’t just boss us around.

We'’re all important parts of the band.

- Goblin ears. [others groan]

If Bobgoblin can'’t be the star of this band,

then Bobgoblin will run away to start his own band.

What? What do you mean you'’ll run away?

[all gasp]

Bobgoblin, come back!

We need our drummer

if we'’re going to make a song for my dad.

[engine revs]

[all] Bobgoblin!

- Where are you? - Come back!

Attention, creatures of the forest!

Bobgoblin has a new band called Goblins Forever.

And also, it is the best band in the world!

[squeaks]

[grunting]

Bobgoblin is trying to start his own band.

But nobody wants to listen to it.

Not even Fruzzlewuzzles.

Well, how long have you had your band?

Two, maybe three minutes.

Well, Bobgoblin, the-the drumming is very good.

But it might help to have other parts to the band,

[screams]

Wally, maybe we have to do the concert without Bobgoblin.

But we need a drummer. The drums are my dad'’s favorite.

Plus, you know what my dad always says.

"Wally, brush your teeth and get into bed."

- No, the other thing. - Oh, right.

Yeah. It'’s so true.

Guys, we need Bobgoblin.

And Bobgoblin needs you!

[all gasp] Bobgoblin!

Our drummer'’s in trouble!

[tires screeching] - [screams]

[all cheering]

Ladies and gentlemen, moms and dads,

welcome to the living room!

[guitar chord]

The first song in our concert is for someone who knows

a little something about rock and roll.

- His name is Dad. - [gasps]

[drum b*at]
